Field Day Finale | Tug of War
[font= Spectral]
You know, the day hadn't been bad. Aurelia had actually quite enjoyed herself while bottle flipping... even though it was a bit childish. But it was refreshing to be able to act carefree and cheerful every now and then, and it's been a while since Aurelia felt free like this. So you know what? The day has been quite alright.
You could say that she had changed a bit over summer. She never really believed that teenagers were actually moody all the time until the tween experienced anxiety and depression for herself. Aurelia was happy that she could go back to Hogwarts, the only place that still feels like home.
Aurelia hastily joined the group of students that were lining up to play Tug of war. She never indulged much in all these muggle games, but you could say that she watched quite a few kids play in her neighbourhood. Her strength wasn't good either, so she preferred games like quidditch, where accuracy was more important.
To her delight, she quickly spotted Scarlett, a good friend of hers who had also participated in bottle flipping, and a not-so-familiar boy, who had also been bottle-flipping and who she vaguely remembered from the slumber party. "Hey Scarlett, and uh- who are you again?" With that said she took a place behind Scarlett and got ready to win this.

Jean-Papi was having a little stroll on the grounds. Just to have a breath of fresh air. As much as he loved his job it was good from time to time to step out of the Hospital Wing and sometimes venture in the land where people have not injured themselves, as of yet. He truly hoped it stayed that way as from the things he has heard these students had a nack for finding themselves in problems that innevitably resulted in physical and sometimes mental injuries.
Well done, Dupont. You've picked out the school that seems to have the same mental state as your own. Insane..., the thought made him chuckle slightly. Though despite all of that he was glad to be here. The possibility of finding his kinds was everything to him and would he be a good father if he didn't at least look at all the possibal leads?
Suddenly he heard a lot of noise comming from his right. When he looked over he noticed students and Professors tugging a rope putting a smile on his face. Sacre bleu! How adorable. JP walked over towards the side of the Professors. He flexed at the students. These bad boys are ready to put you all to shame!, he kissed his "guns" before pulling on the rope. Mes collègues! We got this!

Field Day Finale | Tug of War
The small, ginger man was sitting in his cabin in a comfortable chair, with a blanket draped over him enjoying the warmth of the fire whilst devouring the last of a wheel of cheese and washing it away by downing the last of his butterbeer. With the back of his meaty hand the part-goblin wiped his mouth clean and burped. "My, my. What a good day.", he proclaimed. As he looked to his side to see, if he had any more butterbeer left, he was left disappointed. "I bet the kitchens might have some left... It's time to do my rounds anyways, so I could grab some on the way there."
Without further hesitation the Keeper of Keys and Grounds closed the door of his cabin and started his rounds, but not before he had pulled out a hanchor chief and a hand of galleons. Gargott loved nothing more than to pollish his growing collection of galleons as he did his rounds. There was nothing more soothing. It was all about the routine. He was a creature of habit after all. "Spit, clean and repeat." That was what the oversized part-goblin was humming as he shined his galleons until it reflected the sunlight and he took another from his pouch. That was the moment he stumbled about some professors and students that were tugging on a rope. How silly of them. Gargott shook his head as he made his way towards the side of the professors and merely sat down on the rope as he put away his galleons and started to lit his pipe. Between huffs and puffs from his pipe he was cheering on students and professors alike to pull harder.

Willow was absolutely amazed at everyone that showed up, especially the professors. Sure, Ami and Willow had begged most of them to come, and whoever they didn't beg personally their bright Papa Badger stepped up for them. Their scrambled ideas and blooming friendship helped to bring it all to life, and for them to have fun while doing it. A bubbling sense of pride seemed to overflow when Ami came over to her to rest a hand on a shoulder and invite her to join her on the professor side. She nodded quickly, "For sure. I might... Ope. She's gone." Ami quickly left to go talk to the Professors, and honestly their team was looking kind of sparse. Willow gazed around the field for who else could join them so she grabbed two prefects who both happened to be in Ravenclaw. "Will you two help me on the Professor side? They're kind of sparse and I want to give them a fighting chance." Whether or not they said yes she would already be running over to join them on grabbing the rope. She would shout out to the rest of the mingling crew, "Let's go! Final event of the Field Day! Grab a part of the rope and pull when I say go!"
Being as tiny as she was she stood in front for fear of being trampled if pulled down by the students. There were a couple of latecomers on the Professor side. An adult that she absolutely didn't recognize which worried her. She would say out to anyone around her to hear, "He's not a bad guy right? Just wandering the grounds?" But if none of the other professors seemed worried then her fears would be quickly assuaged. Not to mention a certain Groundskeeper that came and plopped himself on the rope, which was an interesting way to help but a way none the less.
"Ready... set.... go!" The pulling began! Quickly Gargott who was intensely focused on polishing some galleons and definitely wasn't prepared for what was happening around him fully fell and would probably face plant off of the rope. On the other side of the field two people seemed to immediately lose their grip on the rope, Martyna, a first year Willow observed in the potato sack race. Then Amadea, a fourth year, who she thought might have a better handle on this. Literally. No matter, it gave all the people on the Professor team all the advantage they needed to get a good heave to pull the students a bit.
This seemed like it would be a long battle. But a battle she was willing to fight for the people that had taken care of her since she arrived that first September night last year.Outfit Ref ||

Granted Henry was definitely not the strongest of his year, his height definitely gave the misconception that he was strong when in fact he was a weak skinny kid that was mainly just smart, as he was trying or struggling to pull the student side of the rope he listened to others have some friendly banter with the professors something this boy always enjoyed as he continued off of what Percival Gray was saying as he spoke " your right Percival, do you think it's too late to have the hospital wing on stand by just in case someone throws their back or slips a disc," Henry couldn't help but shoot a sly smile toward the professors even through he had a lot on his find he could still and actually enjoyed giving witty comebacks or cunning insults, he was a slytherin after all.
Henry then spotted the boy from the summer camp water fight, Remi he thinks his name is as he heard him shout a few things before saying something about falling into the lake, Henry turned his head to him as he spoke to him " really for some payback then mate?" Henry took a breather as he continue to pull the rope before saying again " you were the one that yell during the water fight last summer, right? Well are you ready to use your voice again, mate? Because we could definitely use it now that were on the same team." Henry then noticed the head of hufflepuff say something but only caught the end, no matter he could still say something cunning as he spoke to him " let's hope that none of you have to rush to the hospital wing after this professor Browne," Henry shot them a sly smile as he still struggled to pull the rope yet somehow Cash who was near him seemed to be stronger and might have looked to be pulling the rope with a lot more easy as Henry said to them " bloody hell Cash, your truly strong. Definitely stronger than me for sure."
Henry then saw some older kids helping out the professors as he shouted over to them in a joking manner " traitors," before turning his attention back to pulling the rope. Henry then heard another voice bark from the professor side, this time it was Marcus iwasaki who seemed to be talking to his head of house and another girl as Henry gave a sly smile before saying to Callie and Marcus as he spoke " Hey, like the," Henry shot over a sly smile toward Marcus before saying " the old man said, no consorting with the enemy," Henry couldn't help but smile a usual sly slytherin grin.
Henry then hesrd the divination professor respond to him in which the boy kept hid sly smile before replying back " yes we will professor, speaking of did you see in your vision if any of you old guy's throw out your backs today?" Henry then looked at his pulling from a strategic point of view before he started pulling at a angel before he saw that the professors pulled the rope closer to their side which made Henry look up and try to figure out why they were losing.
After he determined the result, he figure they didn't lose hey and could still best the professor's as he shouted over to the professor with a sly smile " what about a friendly wager?" Henry continued to pull in a angel before saying again with a sly smile " if we win then what about no classes for a week," while he was mature he still was a twelve year old who had childish desires before continuing " and if you win, well I don't think that's happening so why worry about," the boy was definitely having to much fun at the moment as he continued to pull the rope.

Mentioning @Hjørdis Jensen & @Cassandra IronwoodsOOC: Totally forgot the IC date for this so editing was required lolStarlee watched as both students and professors joined them. She didn't recognize any of the professors there, only her Head of House, @Hjørdis Jensen, whom she gave a small wave to. 'She probably doesn't even recognize me...' Starlee thought, knowing full well the lady had a lot on her plate. Not only that, but today was even her birthday? She decided not to say anything, her introvert side kicking in.
It was then she caught a flash of purple hair, and her eyes spied a cool looking student. Man, Starlee was glad to have them on her team, they looked pretty strong. Her introvertedness kicked in again, and she thought better of it than to speak to them. Maybe she will get up the courage to talk to them later... She went back to thinking about tug of war strategies. For her first-year size, Starlee could manage to pull her weight when she needed to, but she still wasn't sure she would be helping out that much. However, with their larger team, she figured there was no way they would lose to the professors. Not. A. Chance. 'We've got this in the bag!' she thought.
She stood next to Martyna in the line of students ready to pull with all their might when Willow began with a "Ready... set.... go!" Starlee tightly gripped the rope and pulled with everything she had in her. She felt like she was doing pretty well, but it seemed the students around her just weren't pulling hard enough, and she saw Martyna lose her grip. "Come on Tina, you've got this! Shake it off and get back to pulling!" She hoped that would be enough to get them back on track, but it didn't look good so far.Stats: Stamina: 4 - Evasion: 5 - Strength: 6 - Wisdom: 8 - Arcane: 6 - Accuracy: 5

]The amount of people arriving at the event was a bit overwhelming. True, it wasn't just limited to a single year like with the horseshoes, but it still was a bit unexpected that this many people had showed up. He recognized a couple of them, obviously the professors, but he didn't want to conoodle with the opposing team. On his team, he could recognize Cash and Henry but that was about it.Interacting with: @Henry Knight

Everyone got into positions, ready for the tugging to begin, and Nick found a spot between a blonde girl he didn't recognize and Henry. The rope felt coarse around his palms and Nick almost lost his grip even though they weren't even pulling yet. The professor, despite being the "adults" in this situation, were staring daggers at their team down with a lust for victory in their eyes.
The game was set in motion and everyone started tugging madly. He tried his best to help the cause, but the professors were really really strong. The girl in front of him seemed to be pulling her weight a lot, making Nick seem even more weak than he already was. There a valiant fight, but eventually the professors had gained a square, a rough start for their team.
As everyone paused for a moment, the boy behind him chippered up. Nick smirked at Henry's offer for a wager. He always enjoyed raising the stakes on a competition, it made everyone even more competitive which made the game more fun. "How 'bout if we lose, we have tae... we have tae clean the classrooms after school for a week?" Nick pipped in, before whispering to Henry, "Don' give these professors the chance to offer something mate, these guys are col' blooded." He excitedly tugged on the rope harder, eager to win this competition.

"Are you ready for this Tina? Cause I can't wait!"
Tina span around. Starlee! There she was. Despite the very little distance between them, the Hufflepuff girl found herself waving frantically to her Slytherin buddy, a wide grin spreading across her cheeks. The excitement of the day so far had almost been too much, and seeing a friend had her plunging into a moment of eager passion for tug of war! "Of course! We're gonna crush them! Look how many of us there are compared to them!" Tina couldn't help but get a little ahead of herself here. The professors might be physically stronger, but the student team was definitely winning in terms of numbers. Tina did note that her head of house was present, as well as Starlee's, (the girl gave a small wave to Professor Jensen, and Tina found herself copying).
On the other side of Starlee, Tina heard the small voice of another Slytherin, this one a second year boy. He appeared to be talking to one of the older teachers (who taught the 'future predicting' subject, Tina believed) about a reward for the winning team. Tina perked up, looking at Starlee with a cheeky grin. There had been rewards for the potato sack race, but no one mentioned anything about prizes for the tug of war! Before she could voice her agreement, however, another second year Slytherin boy spoke up, offering his thoughts.
"How 'bout if we lose, we have tae... we have tae clean the classrooms after school for a week?"
"Oh my gosh! That would be so bad!" Tina cried before she could stop herself. That was worse than detention! "I mean, we won't lose, so it doesn't matter~!" she chimed, grinning at Starlee. Luckily, the students would soon have a chance to prove this, as Willow was gathering the remaining stragglers, ready to start the competition. Tina tightened her grip on the rope, looking back at Starlee, and the two Slytherin boys. "I hope the teachers find something to do next week! Since we're going to win!"
"Ready... set.... go!"
Immediately, the rope came flying out of Tina's hands, and she fell forwards onto the ground with a thud. Behind her, Star called her support without hesitation. No time to despair about her embarrassment, Tina crawled back to her feet, her hands finding the rope again and getting ready to pull. She snapped her head up, throwing her hair out her face as she did so. "Nnngh! No way am I cleaning the classrooms!" Who knew the teachers could be so... intimidating.

At the mention of Divination was a bit faulty to the professor that teaches the subject, Cash clamped their mouth. They did not want to riled someone up. Henry for a second year definitely has big talk to back his attitude up. They should have known the fact by now. Did Henry has a death wish or something, that is what the green eyes thought.
Caelan and Henry keep riled up the other side. Cash unconsciously rolled their eyes. Sure most of the students side are tween but with how the other two Slyhterins talked, one of these day the two will bring chaos everywhere they might go. The host for this game, grab two prefects to joined the professor team. Cash position themselves at the end of the rope for the students side.
They become the anchor for this game, again. Last year they played this game and surely Cash has the upper hand how to tackle tug of war and hoping this time around less bloody from the last time they played it. When the host yelled go meaning the start of the game, Cash grab the rough looking rope and tug it as hard as they can.
Their feet dug into the ground, there is no way they will face planted the grassy ground. Just about they think about it, two of the players from the students side fall. Cash heard a single voice belong to one of the first year's student cheered her friend to get back up and focus at the game on hand. Henry then mention how strong Cash is.
"Years of hanging by the tips of your fingers while practice wall climbing will do the trick"Cash explained between their labored breathe. "Less chatting and more pulling, mate"Cash told Henry between their gritted teeth. Inches by inches the students side move into the professors side of territory. Cash has enough with the lack of effort their team mates show.
It is time they speak up and hopefully it enough to amped up the others. "Hey noodles arms people!"Cash hollered from the back of the rope to the bunch of people that stand in front of them. "Put your back and strength to it, will you?"They half screamed so the people that was not near them heard it too. Their Cuban accent seeped out.
"Us in the back are trying here"Cash rasped out. Their voice are raw and their throat are dry because of the screaming. The green eyes felt like dejá vù. The purple haired uttered the same words to Alan last year during the same exact game. During the pulling of rope, Henry offered a friendly wager and Caelan respond to that.
At the end of first round the professors side won and round one of tug o' war ended. Maybe because of those two, their team was lost or maybe it because entirely other reason. When round one was ended, Cash dropped the rope from their hand and shake their reddened hands to lessen the pain. "Seriously?"The questioned their housemates.
"If at the end of this game we did not came out as a victor; good luck cleaning the classrooms for a week, mates"Cash said to both Henry and Caelan. "Count me out"They added and when the pain in their hands subside, they take their position again. Readying themselves for round two.

Field Day Finale | Tug of War
Cecily stood near the students, poised to grab the rope when a spot opened up. But before the action could begin, she heard a voice behind her, a voice that she had heard prominently more than once throughout the day. She found herself being herded to the other half of the rope-- the Professor's side, sparsely populated by the few Professors who had shown up, Ami, Willow, and now the two Ravenclaw Prefects. Cecily tried to keep the nerves from appearing on her face as she stepped into place on the left side of the rope towards the center, grabbing hold of it firmly with two hands, about a fist apart. She understood, of course, why Willow had chosen her to help out the Professors. Even if the adults were likely much stronger than most of the students, there were still significantly less of them, and they could use some extra hands. Plus, she was a Prefect-- an obvious choice of students to pull on the Professors' side. Nevertheless, it didn't mean she had to enjoy being surrounded by wizards who were taller, stronger, and older than her. Although she considered herself to be one of the older students at the school, the professors still had an air of intimidation-- particularly the newer ones.
Focusing on the match, she planted her feet-- left in front, right in back, with her hips facing the center-- and prepared herself for a mighty tug. She tried to stop herself from staring down the students across the rope, as she could just see them over Willow's head. But as soon as Willow gave the word to start, all thoughts slipped out of her head, replaced with the single command to pull as hard as any rather small fourth-year could. She thought she felt the rope move centimeters in their direction; but then, it could've just been wishful thinking. Cecily put her weight on her back foot and heaved.
