Adventure with Studying Finished

This time, Rosie stood up, hearing Clary call again. She was closer. Rosie stood up and bolted down the rows, looking at the books that were seen before she raced by. Rosie turned the corner and grabbed the shelf as she turned, allowing her to run down the row with more speed. She cupped her hands and yelled again. "POLO!"

Rosie turned another corner and skipped down the row, her eyes came across a book and she TRIED to skid to a stop, but she tripped over her feet and tumbled onto the floor, grabbing a book as she fell. "Aha, got you." She snickered, opening it. The history of magic. She groaned and closed it. Boring! Rosie didn't necessarily care about the history of magic, she wanted to know about the magic happening NOW. She stood up and put the book away.

Mission: Find Clary. Methods: Run a lot and scream. Reward: Finding friend. Mission Difficulty Level: Hard.

Rosie continued jogging down the rows, trying not to get lost herself. Rosie would just go back in the way, she came! Simple. In between the rows, she turned her head left to right, making sure Clary didn't speed by. She figured she would've heard it though.

Clary heard what sounded to be similar to that of a herd of elephants begin to traipse around the library, potentially knocking a few items over in the process, based on the series of awkward thumps she heard as time went by. Polo! There the sound was again, coming from her left. The Young Ravenclaw girl shifted directions, trying to figure out how to move to the left without abandoning her 'Escape the Maze' method of always remaining on the same side of the bookshelves. Figuring she didn't have all day, Clary pushed away from her little life hack and followed after Rosie's voice, her ears attentive and mind focused in concentration.

Up ahead, she heard another thump as a book fell off the shelf, accompanied by a small murmur, sounding something along the lines of Aha, got you! Figuring only her energetic, and perhaps quite clumsy, Hufflepuff friend would be responsible for such an incident, she continued forwards in that direction, soon becoming overwhelmed as the thumping of footsteps seemed to envelop the whole entire library. How far was Rosie running? Quite far, by the sound of it, though Clary had no way of knowing until she managed to track down her friend. She was now on a quest, and no matter what, she'd find a way to succeed.

Clary racked her brain for some spell that could help her, realizing halfway through her frantic research that she was a witch! Surely there was some location spell she could use or something that could make her more visible to Rosie. Aha! That was it. Clary reached into her robes, producing her beloved Chesnut wand, and scanned her memory for the wand movement of the spell she wished to cast. Once discovering the information, Clary flicked her wand gently, pulled it back for a moment, then flicked it again, whispering, "Lumos!" Bright, white light shone from the tip of Clary's wand, illuminating the path in front of her. Now, if Rosie happened to get close, she'd hopefully see the illumination of the light and manage to track down Clary more easily.

"Polo!" she yelled again, pretty sure she was getting closer to her friend, at this point. This whole situation just seemed like a giant joke, in her personal opinion, but it was kind of a fun game! She'd never played Marco Polo out of the water before, but a magical library seemed like the perfect place for the activity, as long as they weren't caught for yelling by the librarian!

Rosie heard her voice again. It sounded closer, she grinned until she almost came across the librarian from the other side of the row. Shoot. She spun on her foot and ran away, hoping the lady didn't hear her. Rosie didn't wanna risk spells, she wasn't very good at it yet. She sped on forward, and after a second, once again cupped her hands and yelled. "POLO!" A small giggle slipped out right after, as she sped forward. After a bit, she squinted. Was.. Was that a light?

Rosie skidded to a stop and looked again. It was! She sped over and turned a few corners, hopefully coming across Clary. Though she was going a bit fast, let's hope they didn't crash into each other. She held her books as she ran, she picked up a few when she tumbled. They were on different subjects in classes she took. Basically, very useful to her future. She tried not to trip over her shoes again, since apparently she had a bad habit of doing so. Rosie took a second to internally note to work on her clumsiness, it would for sure not benefit her in her future. For... Anything, unless there was a clumsiness contest. Was there? Probably not. Bummer.

Clary side-stepped the barreling blur of motion as Rosie came hurdling into her aisle, loud as ever in the space that was supposed to be reserved for silence. She couldn't help but smile, proud of herself for learning her lesson about letting people run into her... literally. She'd already faced enough sore bruises from the incident with Kaegan, and she didn't want a repeat occasion with her energetic little Hufflepuff friend. Clary lifted her wand in front of her face, casting a bright, white glow onto her already fair skin, and pretended to blow it out like a candle, murmuring a quick, Nox!, as the light flickered out with a twist of her wrist.

She grinned over at Rosie, who had managed to stumble into a bookshelf in her effort to slow down in front of Clary. The poor girl seemed a bit out of breath, but the dumb smile Clary saw on her face seemed to prove that Rosie was proud of the feat. Afterall, Hufflepuffs were particularly good finders. She smiled, remembering that was a phrase someone had used at one point or another, and walked over to greet Rosie with a nod of her head. "That... was a bit dramatic, but I found the book!" She grinned, holding the title up in front of her proudly.

It'd only taken the girls a mere hour to succeed on their mission, and although they technically didn't really know how to exit the forest of bookshelves, Clary didn't really mind where she relaxed as long as Rosie was by her side. Afterall, the location was all part of the adventure, and she was too eager to learn about Dueling magic to worry about finding her way out of this mess. She'd just wanted to be with Rosie, no matter where the two ended up together. 

Rosie did indeed stumble into the book shelf, but grinned wider when she realized she had found Clary. Success! She pushed herself from off the shelf and let out a sigh. "Hi." She muttered, fixing her hair and dusting her clothes off. "Oh cool! You found you book. By the way, the librarian might be uhhhh a little upset with us because she saw me racing down the aisles but I'm pretty sure I lost her so it's okay!" She laughed nervously.

Yeah, the whole situation was a big ol' mess, but Rosie was glad she found Clary. She grinned and started to lead Clary back to their table, humming as she lead them back. She was having a good time so far, planning on doing some good ol' reading with her friend. Rosie was secretly still scared of the librarian finding her and kicking them out for running and yelling, but she hoped they'd excuse them. Afterall, they were just kids. However, Rosie might be kicked out, it wasn't her first time being loud in a place where you were supposed to be quiet. Rosie was just in general a loud person, which came in handy sometimes, but other times, it just showed Rosie was annoying sometimes.
