Errand Pet Pampering Finished

After hanging out with Damion and meeting his cat, Jasper, for the first time. Logan liked the little fuzzball. Although, he wasn't sure whether it was the cat or his master he was referring to. He was sitting in the halls when an owl came and he was told to go and meet up with Damion for a pet grooming session. He quickly ran to go meet him in the classroom. It was either giving his cat a bath or do nothing all that. He took all the action he could get his hands on even though that couldn't be classified as an adrenaline rush.
He ran across the halls and into the classroom. He saw Damion already waiting to get started.

"Hi, Damion."

He looked down at his lap and saw the cat resting there peacefully. He hated to do something that would cause great displeasure for the cat. He just rubbed the cat's head.

"The little fuzzball isn't gonna like any of this"

I clapped my hand and looked back at Damion.

"Let's get started. Shall we?

I didn't wait for an answer. I just took the cat for his lap and put him over my shoulder. The faster we get this done, the better it will be for everyone. I grabbed Damion and we moved to get started.

Damion had enjoyed hanging out with Logan. He had never had friends that were in his school with him. This was the second year- well his second year here. He had friends that were not here like his buddy Dylan. He needed to get his mind away from Dyllie. Dyllie was back in Wales. He missed Dyllie no doubt. But being here in Hogwarts gave him opportunity to get to know people that he could see as his friends. He had met a few of them. Logan and he had clicked in more ways than he had thought. He was happy that they had just clicked this way. He really needs friends that he could talk to and be with.


He was petting Jasper trying to soothe and calm him. He was about to put her in water and pamper him but well cats hated getting into water. And Damion was about to find that out. He smiled as he saw Logan. He greeted him with a huge smile and a wave of his hand. "Hey Logan. It's good to see you. How have you been?" he said. he was very excited that Logan was here. Damion saw Logan pet Jasper and smiled.


"Well we have some snacks that we can give him if he behaves" Damion said. He was not going to make Jasper suffer this without taking proper care of him. He looked at Logan and smiled. "yeah sure" He said as he looked at Logan who took Jasper and smiled. He smiled as he felt Logan grab him. He walked behind Logan. He was happy that Logan was here. He moved to the place where he had a blue tub for Jasper to bathe and a blue towel to rub Jasper down. He wanted to give his little Kitty-Cat some joys of being his cat.

"Logan do you want to hold him as I bathe him or the other way round?" he asked Logan. he wanted to know how they were going to do this thing. He wanted to make sure that if Logan wanted to bathe his cat, he could. He wasn't going to hog bathing Jasper.

Logan loved hanging out with Damion. He came to Hogwarts without any friends or anyone he knows here, and in a matter of days, he was already getting loads of friends with little or no effort.
He lifted Jasper from Damion's arms and began to pet him. Logan liked Jasper and he hated having to spoil his day because of the common fact that all cats, from house cats to tigers, hate water.
We began to move Jasper to the blue tub so we could get started. Logan looked down at Jasper and said,

"I'm pretty sure that from Jasper's point of view, this is a spa day"

It seemed right. Full scale showers, manicures, pedicures and all the pampering you can get.
Damion asked if he was gonna hold the cat while he cleaned him or it was gonna be the other way around. Honestly, Logan wasn't gonna be bothered anyway this happened so he just said the first thing,

"It's your cat. I think you deserve the honour of cleaning him."

He raised the cat over the water and said,

"Feuch nach sgrìob thu mi"
That means "please don't scratch me" in Scots Gaelic

It sounded rather stupid. Cats couldn't understand Scots Gaelic, could they? He looked back up at Damion and said,

"Get ready to scrub the cat"

Logan slowly lowered Jasper into the water and hoped Jasper doesn't get mad at him.

Damion really loved being here with Logan. He had started enjoying spending time with Logan. He was getting better at making friends. He wanted to make a few guy friends so he would be able to forget about his friend who was back at home. Not that he wanted to ever forget about Dyllie but he needed to get himself away from Dyllie. He couldn't keep on thinking about Dyllie if he was here. He smiled at Logan as he lifted Jasper. He was happy that Logan seemed to like Jasper.

"Well yeah that is exactly what it is" he said smiling. He looked at him and nodded his head. "It's s spa day for Jasper" He said. He was happy that Logan was here to help him out with giving Jasper a spa day.

Damion smiled as he waited for Logan to tell him what he wanted to do. He was not picky about cleaning the cat. If Logan wanted to bathe him, he would have happily let him. He wanted to spend his time having fun with Logan. He looked at him and nodded his head. He looked at him and said "Alright. Thank you!" He was happy with what Logan had chosen. "Here you can wipe him after he's taken a bath" He handed Logan a towel and smiled.

He saw Logan raise Jasper over the water. He heard him say something which he didn't understand. "What does that mean?" He asked him. He was not sure what Logan was saying. He nodded his head and took Jasper in his lap as he took a matching blue cup to fill water in it to pour it on Jasper. He kept petting his head gently as he didn't want to worry him. "Yep ready to do that" he said smiling. He saw Logan put Jasper in the tub and smiled at Logan. He had by that time filled the cup with water and was ready to pour it on his cat. He gently poured some water on the cat. He could see his cat shaking himself getting water all around the tub.

Logan loved hanging out with Damion was. It didn't seem forced. It was purely natural. Surely, it was as good as the relationship he had with his muggle friends but Damion was his friend nonetheless.
After Logan spoke Scots Gaelic, Damion was obviously confused. Logan felt like facepalming himself, but he was still holding the cat.

"What I said was Scots Gaelic for please don't scratch me"

Of course, Damion couldn't speak Scots Gaelic because he was Welsh and Logan couldn't speak Welsh because he was a Russian and a Scotsman.

"Sorry for breaking into one of my native languages. I speak Scots Gaelic. My mother thought me how to speak it when I was still little. Sometimes, I even broke into it when I'm talking to people."

He felt the cat squirming and getting the tub wet. Who could blame him? Jasper was a cat after all. Cats hate water.

"Stay still, Jasper"

The cat was getting water on his robes. He decided to just shift back a little so the water wouldn't hit him as much. He was getting angry, but this was Damion's cat and he would do or say anything. He was starting to think about the pet and pet owner relationship some people had. They seemed to like their pets more than other people. The concept of getting a pet started to seem more appealing.

"I'm thinking of getting a pet"

The pet had to suit him. And in some ways, have some traits that he had. This was the wizarding world. And like other things here, pets were different from what you would see in your average muggle pet store. You can't find pygmy puffs.

"When it comes to pets, they don't have to be common like cats or cute and fluffy like pygmy puffs. I prefer fuzzy and weird. Like lizards, rats and spiders"

They were fuzzy, weird and wacky. Plus they creeped girls out. They were like Logan's spirit animals.

"The only wizard places I've been to are, Hogwarts, a couple of Diagon Alley shops and Platform 9 3/4. I wonder if there is a pet store somewhere in the wizarding world. Like where you got Jasper. We'll talk about that later"

His mind went back to fantasy movies he saw with his family. Some people had pet unicorns and others had dragons. Having a pet dragon would be cool.

Damion loved hanging with the Logan. He was enjoying his time with Logan here pampering his cat- Jasper. He loved being with Jasper. He smiled at him. Damion was happy that Logan was still holding his cat in his hand. He liked that he was here. He looked at Logan and smiled as he heard what he was saying. “I see. You speak Scots Gaelic” He said in a little surprised. He didn’t care that much about it but he was still a little surprised. “Why would you say that though?” He asked.

Damion was happy to be here where other people were from different part of the world. He liked that. He looked at Logan and shook his head. “It’s alright! You don’t need to be sorry for breaking in your native Language. It was nice to hear something new” He said. He was interested in listening to it. He looked at him and smiled. He was happy that Logan was here.

Damion pet Jasper a little as he saw Jasper squirming a little. He knew his cat didn’t like the water. He kept petting Jasper on it’s head. He wanted jasper to calm down. “Thank you Logan” He said.

Damion looked at Logan and said “I’m sorry that the water is getting on your robes.” He said apologetically. He didn’t care that the water was getting on his robe. He looked at him. “Oh that would be great! I can show you where I got Jasper” He said looking at him and smiled.

Damion was happy to hear what his friend had to say about the pets that he wanted. Damion couldn’t stand the reptiles, he had a fear of those reptiles. He didn’t mind the other pets that much. He looked at Logan and said “I am very afraid of the reptile you mentioned other than that I’m fine with any pets” He said. He was not saying that Logan shouldn’t get what he wants. But he was just telling him that the reptile he mentioned scared the hell out of him.


He looked at Logan after he poured a little more water on Jasper before soaping Jasper. He was going to clean the cat. He heard what Logan was saying and smiled. “I would totally like to show you that place. We can meet there after we are done with pampering Jasper” He said. He was happy to be here cleaning his cat.

Logan was a bit happy Damion didn't think his breaking into Scots Gaelic was weird.

"It's kinda hardwired in my brain"

His parents thought him Scots Gaelic and Russian. Since his dad wasn't around much, his mom just taught him her language, Scots Gaelic, when he was bored. There were actually some perks, he could talking in their secret language when they were planning pranks and he could insult people without facing any consequences whatsoever.
Logan thought about getting a pet rat since he was obviously going to be hanging out with Damion most of the time.

"You're seriously afraid of lizards. Why the heck would you be scared of lizards. Seems highly illogical to be afraid of lizards. That's like loving dragons and hating lizards. They're the same thing in different ways."

Logan was confused as to why the heck Damion would be afraid of lizards. They reminded him of itty-bitty dinosaurs. He was actually quite the fan of anything with scales.
He wondered what pet stores would look like if he went there with Damion. Maybe they had huge maze-like halls or maybe a mote or maybe even a dragon security guard. He never knew what to expect in the wizarding world.

"Let's dry him off, shall we?"

“Yeah it would be. Since you grew up Scotland.” He said. He looked at him and smiled. He was happy that he had a friend other than Dyllie. He wanted to make new friends around the place he was studying so he was n0t bound to only having Dyllie as his friend. He wanted to have other friends too. He was going to get to know more people around.

Damion looked at Logan as he kept petting his cat. He loved being there with Logan and his cat. He was really enjoying this time with Logan. He was happy that Logan had decided to come there with him.

“I had gone to visit India and I was locked in a bathroom there. And the damn reptile was there on the door. It scared the hell out of me. I guess it’s the trauma I have that makes me scared of that creature.” he said. “Can we please not talk about those creatures? I feel really weird talking about them or even thinking about those creepy crawlers” He said hoping he was not being rude.

Damion washed the soap off his cat. He was taking full care of his cat. He looked at Logan and nodded his head. “Yeah sure lets dry him off” He said looking at his cat that was shaking it’s body to dry itself off. He could see water being thrown off Jasper’s body. He took the towel and started drying his cat up.

“Let’s go. I think Jasper's had his spa day” He said to Logan. He was wanting to get to showing Logan the pet store. “Want to go to the pet store Logan?” he asked. “We can do that now that Jasper is all clean” He said smiling.
