The playful jabs between herself and Pericles, were something that the metamorph had gotten used to by now. Xailah quickly picked up what she had started. "Oh? Would you now? What if you were called L-Leberknödel?" A petite gloved hand shot up to stifle a chuckle. She could hardly help it. Leberknödel- or Liver Dumpling had always been a word that the young Londoner found very funny. The way it rolled off the tongue- how could one not laugh at it? Besides, it was a cringe-worthy name that even fit his pallid disposition. "Would you still come?" She snorted, her words muffled by the glove over her face. Her hair writhed in response to the word that (presumably) only she would find humorous.

Her tittering was short-lived however; for she would wave it off quickly, before resuming a straight- semi-straight face. Her attention would be directed downwards, as she watched the young bird greet Schrödinger. Seeing them get along well, made her so happy. "I think he missed you very much over the sssummer." Well... not quite. He had been pampered at home, all summer. And honestly, he deserved it. Schrödinger deserved the world. For a moment, her playfully aggressive tone had been exchanged for something more solemn.

"Wait-listed? That so?" She murmured, her tone distant. Her eyes mindlessly lingered on Schrödinger, as she watched him purr, and press his head into the Ravenclaws hand; before flopping over. She could tell that the boy was wanting some sort of input on the Quidditch situation. Xailah didn't think of herself as the best source for such a thing. "Well." She mulled. "I'd say, the Ravenclaw Quidditch team is trying to sssave themselves some trouble." She snickered quietly; the playful smile from before, had begun to return. "But seriously, I don't think you will be the one wasting an opportunity." She stated, bringing one hand up to rest on her hip. "I think- well, actually, what I think doesn't much matter. Now isn't the time to be fretting over sssomething like that." She nodded to the fledgling. A hand extended, to usher the boy up from his spot on the ground- however the extended fingers quickly darted back to their original spot on the metamorphs hip. His following question coaxed a haughty snort out of the fair-skinned, beastling.

"Ah- and what if I did?" A neatly plucked brow arched into a curious shape. "There is no sssafe answer to that question, and you know it." She scoffed; her eyes narrowing, she directed her face upwards towards the sky. "You know, I don't know Dralt, did you miss me riding with you?" It was an attempt to turn the question around. She thought she was sneaky like that. "Call me mad, but I found that experience to be quite exhilarating. But not because of you." She admitted simply. "So, make of that what you will." The eaglet would be given a sly, side-eye, complete with a gentle Cheshire grin. Pericles would inquire about the dice, and Xailah would give him an honest shrug. "Thank you. I truthfully do not know. Judging by the ssstrings, I'd say that they might be Christmas ornaments of some sort." She violently shook the handle of the broom, so she could watch the dice bounce again. "I originally thought that they were cat toys. But whenever I tried to use them to play with Schrödinger, he would run away." Her eyes rolled lazily in their sockets, as she looked down at the feline in question.

The small group of prefects would mingle briefly. The mention of Flash stalking peers didn't seem to elicit a major response within the group. "Mayhaps. But I still don't like it." She said, shaking her head in response to Pericles trying to resonate. His use of the word 'admirer' did anything but help the young metamorph understand his reasoning. For whatever reason the word made her skin crawl. Probably because the word usually went hand in hand with obsession- a subject that made the girl rather uncomfortable. Her upper lip curled into a pained sneer. She stared off; her gaze locked onto nothing in particular. Once the talk of Flash died, Pericles would eventually suggest that the four prefects stuck together for a little while. Xailah would answer in a far-off voice. "Sssounds like a plan. I think I could trust the two of you for a little while." She looked to the two other girls, with a firm smile painted on her face. Hopefully betrayal would not happen early on.

Heeding to Aurelias attempts to get the attention of her club, Xailah would began to make her way over to her monster enthusiast roommate. The metamorphs attention would drift between Aurelia, and the occasional quiet scuttling from those the club leader had gathered. Once Aurelia signaled the start of the game, Xailah immediately mounted her broom. She lifted off of the ground in a second. It was her first time flying, on the Moontrimmer. The sweeper gently carried the Gryffindor high into the sky; where she would assess the game. Xailah saw a girl in her year. Hufflepuff. Freakishly short. Former Quidditch seeker. She would have been the first person for Xailah to target- but May Moonstar indirectly saved her fellow Hufflepuff. "Why, Miss May-" The lioness called down to the small badger who was targeting Xailahs Ravenclaw companion. "-Do you really think that is a wise decision?" The metamorph purred, before clicking her tongue in a dissatisfied manner. "Its nothing personal, May. Petrificus Totalus." A dark splinter of wood revealed itself, with the sharp end directed at the badger cub, below.

Pushing her red hair behind her ears she stood next to the other prefects. «Thanks Pericles», she answered with a court nod as he welcomed her back. It was nice being back, there hadn’t been any particularly exciting happenings over the summer, so getting back to the exciting nature of Hogwarts was a pleasant change. She smiled as Pericles seemed excited for the game, and her eyes fell onto the broom in his hand as he mentioned flying. She remembered seeing that particular broom as she had been shopping for her own. «Well you’re in for an experience. The most fun games are the ones including heights», she said and gave him a subtle wink.
Even though it was quite against her nature, there were some slight nerves around flying her new broom. She’d never tried it before and at this point she was regretting not taking it for a test flight before the game.

Xailah mentioned a boy, Flash, and his supposed stalking behaviours. «That’s… Suspicious» River took a quick glance in his direction, wondering if she’d seen him before. Though, as far as she could remember they had not had any encounters yet. The ravenclaw truly hoped she had not yet been noted in that book of his, as Xailah told them about it. Why on earth would he even have any interest in her?
River nodded as Pericles came with his input. He had some good points, though it didn’t really calm her slight worries around the subject. Perhaps the boy's behaviour was nothing to be suspicious about whatsoever, or perhaps it was. She took a mental note of the boys’ face and his name, just to keep him in the back of her head if anything was to occur in the future.
Pericles proposed an alliance between the group of prefects, to which River nodded and contently agreed that it could be a smart move.

As Aurelia got the attention of the group, River looked over at her expectantly, excited to begin the game they’d be playing. As she announced it would be shuntbumps, a smile appeared on the girls face as she remembered how much fun that had been their first round. Her excited smile was quite quickly replaced by a more shy one though, as she heard her name. Sure, she was proud of her victory, but now, she would automatically have a target painted on her back, even before the game had the time to begin.
Cursing silently to herself as she cautiously glanced around watching for any unwanted attention. Almost missing that Aurelia, and the others had started rising into the air on their brooms. Quickly mounting her own, River swiftly followed suit and ascended before waiting for the signal. She took another scan at the surrounding students trying to make out any predetermined plans or actions. As the sparks appeared in the air, River acted quickly as she saw someone aim for her. Low and behold, it was the very boy the group had been discussing previously. She was not going down without a fight, that was a sure thing. She Gripped her alder wood wand and quickly decided upon her move.

Her gaze drifted away from the group, settling on a point in the distance, not near any of the students. The happy gleam that had been in her eyes was dimmed slightly as her emotions caught up with her again. Ana had completely ignored her when she walked in, not acknowledging Ruby at all. The young prefect was trying desperately not to let it get to her, but it hurt. Blue eyes wandered up to scan the sky, searching for shapes in the clouds as a distraction. On top of this, there was a sense of unease. She couldn't quite pinpoint where it came from, but something was just off and it made her uncomfortable. She subconsciously crossed her arms in front of her in an attempt to try to soothe herself.

Xailah answered her question, saying that she had been in the club for five months, and Pericles described a fun game that had been held. The Slytherin responded with a nod of acknowledgement directed at both of them and a half-hearted smile. “You can show me the ropes, then? I'm glad to not be alone.” There was true gratitude in her words. As much as she had felt alone the past ten days and even a little bit now, she had been accepted by this group. Brought in willingly. Invited. When Xailah asked how she was feeling, Ruby blinked, surprised and slightly taken aback. Someone noticed? she thought, hopeful that maybe this meant she would soon be able to start changing. Was help from others what she needed? She shook it off, watching Xailah for a second, trying to figure out why the Gryffindor cared.

“Sorry,” she began. Off to a bad start? She rarely apologised, didn't normally think it necessary. “I- uh,” she continued, uncharacteristically hesitant. She was stalling for time, put in a situation that she wasn't sure about. Should she tell the truth or very obviously lie by saying that everything was okay? “I'm feeling a little off,” she finished vaguely. Her tone was back to normal and she retained her composure, but there was something in her eyes… a plea for help? She tried to move on, listening to Xailah's next words, which she was finding very interesting. The Slytherin boy that Ruby had previously noticed was being singled out by the Gryffindor prefect, accused of stalking members of authority.

Eyes of ice scanned the boy another time. He didn't seem unusual, but looks couldn't say everything. “Do you have an idea why he might be doing that?” she asked Xailah. “How curious…” she murmured to herself, intrigued by this "Flash", wondering what kind of secrets his book held. She would have thought of it as creepier than she did, but truth be told, she had done something quite similar in previous years, particularly her first year before she became a prefect. Her observations had been expanded to anyone, jotting down little notes about regular students and prefects alike when she saw them, whether she talked to them or not.

Maybe it was creepy, but it was a good way of remembering things about people and having something to refer to. Compiling knowledge. But to what end? What plans did the boy have? That was more worrying. “Thanks for the heads up, Xailah,” she commented, listening to the input from River and Pericles. Her friend proposed an alliance between the prefects for the time being and Ruby accepted with a grin. “I'm down for that.” River was announced as the previous winner of this game. Ruby would have to watch what she did, see if there were any particular strategies she employed or if it was simply luck that granted her the victory. The soft smile remained and she turned back to the other two members of their group.

The light banter they had been having several seconds earlier reminded her of her relationship with Margo, the fiery snake she had befriended in her first year. Perhaps Ruby would have to see if she could drag her into this club, although she wouldn't want to watch her get hurt. Refocusing her attention, she realised the game had started, and chaos broke loose as spells were cast in every direction. The other prefects seemed to be handling themselves and as far as Ruby was aware, no spell was headed towards her yet. But there was something that caught her eye—the seemingly malicious look on May's face as she targeted Pericles. Ruby already didn't like the girl, thinking her an annoyance, to put it politely. But to watch her target her gentler friend and for the Hufflepuff aggressor to look like she would enjoy it? That was absolutely unacceptable.

The anger was bubbling within the Slytherin. At least this time, it would be more justified than her uncontrolled outbursts tended to be. She was doing this in defense of her friend, not just for selfish purposes. Xailah was already casting at the girl but Ruby wanted to make sure she saw her fall. The Gryffindor was calling to the Hufflepuff, saying that it wasn't personal. “This is personal,” she muttered, before calling more loudly, “Flipendo!” May had messed with the wrong person. Getting a group of prefects to oppose her was not sensible, especially when one of them was currently temperamental and easily angered. A slight sneer curled her lips, hoping for her own success and for the targeted girl's failure.

It seemed that both Alan and Willow did not quite understand how an alliance worked, instead Alan cast a spell at the lovely pink haired girl who he acknowledged sided with him. The ribbons of fabric would sprout from his wand like confetti, zipping towards the Hufflepuff's direction before wrapping around firmly against her head. But it seemed that his spell had attracted the attention of a few girls, Scarlett and Cassandra who both shot a knockback jinx the metamorph's way. Lucky for him, with his commendable agility, Alan dodged both their spells and remained unharmed for the round.

Like Alan, perhaps Willow did not quite understand how an alliance work. Fun and games it was as she would cast the tickling hex at Flash. However, there seemed to be a chill in the air, one so distracting and unsettling that it had caused a hindrance in her spell casting. Utter the incantation the hufflepuff would but not a spark would follow suit. Barely a moment later, she would feel a piece of fabric wrapping tightly around her head and her vision pitch black.

Eyre settled for a more offensive than defensive spell: the knockback jinx. It was clear that he was determined to win the game. Unfortunately, it seemed that the second year needed more practice at his spell casting. Nothing seemed to happen with the wave of his wand. Perhaps it was a fault in his wand movement or perhaps he lacked concentration. Nevertheless, he still had multiple opportunities to try once more.

One could not fathom why Flash of all people was the target of a majority of the spells. The boy might have felt a brief moment of triumph as he sucessfully disarmed the ravenclaw. Shortly, the boy managed to avoid Cassandra's knockback jinx but was not able to steer clear of Pericles' spell. Once a ravenclaw, always a ravenclaw. The sight of his fellow housemate being targeted would set Pericles on the defensive. He would cast a spell at River's aggressor, Flash. With an expert wave of his wand, the blue light would shot forth from the tip of his wand and disperse into the boy's chest. Now the speed of his broom was travelling at a snail's pace. But shortly after he had cast the spell, like a few others in the game, his wand would flip out of his hand. Despite his efforts, River fell victim to her own spell.

For only a second year, her spell was flawless and with precise accuracy, the red light shooting towards her target and soon. However, it was a mistake to have targeted boy, of course May would not know that this boy was in fact a very good friend of a fourth year, the fourth year would cast a successful body bind curse at her. Soon, she would feel her muscles tense up rendering her unable to move, yet her grip on her broom was like stone. It was May's unlucky day as another spell from Ruby Cazarez flew her way, hitting her right in the chest, a rather strong one. May was a strong individual and managed to keep on her broom despite the ordeal. Yet she was trap in a bind of a curse, unable to move.

River was unlucky. However much River trained and practice her spells and honed her magical potential to suppress the magical menace which was in her dhampir blood, there was often times when luck simply was against you. Flash was whom she would pick as her target, however, she would feel a chill in the air, that made her concentration on the spell falter so much so that the red light from the spell shot out from the wrong end of the wand, propelling the girl backwards. Shit. It looked like his spell didn't land. He swooped away from the two of them, noticing now that his proposed ally was now blindfolded. He raised his wand in the direction of her attacker, but Eyre soon realized that the attacker-in-question was clearly older than him and would likely blindfold him and or kill him if he decided to go after him, so he decided against it for now.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a wand plummeting to the ground. It was a girl being attacked by none other than Ana. Eyre vowed that he'd stay away from her until she figured her stuff out, but... it didn't hurt going after the person that she was going after. They were still friends, even if things were complicated. Maybe this would show her that he was still willing to be on her side.

With another attempt, he raised his arm at the girl. "Flipendo!" He cast again, hoping to do it correctly this time and not mess up. For just a moment he made eye contact with Ana, before dropping it. There was no need to have emotions get in the way of their good fun. After all, perhaps he was doing her a favor.

The back of his long coat started to get in the way, nearly flapping up over his eyes, so Eyre did a balancing act of taking it off on his broom without using his arms, toddering around awkwardly until he was able to pull it off and let it fall to the ground below. Having that thing on in the middle of the match would surely be the death of him. It was time to get serious and concentrate, if he wanted to last any longer in the game.

The bridge of Pericles' nose crinkled in a combination of confusion and amusement. He pondered this fun new morsel of information- Leberknödel- only recognizing that it was Germanic. Xailah's glee sent him smiling, and he hummed at her query, pretending to ponder it seriously. "I don't know the meaning of the word," the boy began with an unintentional and obscure reference, "but if I heard you yelling it, I'd be bound to investigate. I suppose that's a yes. Leberknödel...." He further deduced that it sounded something like Lederhosen and noodle combined. Hopefully, he was wrong. Pericles rose from petting the fat cat, and on hearing her feline had missed him, he enthused quietly without missing a beat "I missed him as well. I missed all of you. I would've traded my eyeteeth to be at camp. Summer wasn't all bad, but it was dreadfully quiet."

Xailah claimed that the Ravenclaw team was trying to save itself trouble, so the boy's lip protruded in a mock pout. "I'll have you know I've been practicing rigorously," he retorted in that faraway way, hand drifting with a lazy wave, though when she claimed her input hardly mattered, he shrugged and stated more seriously, "It matters to me." It was certainly something he would continue to weigh, but Shuntbumps- which seemed to him the happy-middle between dueling and Quidditch- wouldn't likely help him to hone a decision. In some ways he was simple, in others complex. Yet when Xailah asked if he'd missed their flying together, he was unabashed, for Pericles hadn't been raised in a way which encouraged suppressing his sentiment. He smiled an earnest smile and answered plainly, "Yes. Let's fly again soon when there are not lives hanging in the balance." A last wondering look was aimed at the "Christmas ornaments" which frightened Schrödinger before his smile slid towards Ruby.

She had said she was glad not to be alone, and although Pericles continued casually, he made a point to meet and hold her stare. "As long as one of us is here," the young wizard declared tranquilly, "you needn't ever play on your own. Well..." he passed a sideways smirk to Xailah, "unless the rules decide otherwise." Upon hearing the witch wasn't feeling like herself, Pericles pursed his lips in a light line of concern. He thought to ask if Ruby was ill, but caught the odd look in her eye, and instead murmured a gentle "Maybe a good game will wake you up." He needed to ask her about her summer, to have another of those sitdowns they hadn't shared in some time. "Wish us luck then, Schrö," Peri called to the cat in a chipper hum, then a thought struck him, and he extended to Ruby and Xailah, "I have someone very important for the two of you to meet. You ought to come to my errand on the twelfth."

River was radiating an aura which was startlingly familiar to Pericles. He couldn't interpret the nerves she was experiencing, only the ones she was inspiring in others, though her happy nonchalance seemed to suggest she was confident. The older Ravenclaw prefect looked sure of herself, and when she winked, he brightened boyishly while trying to mirror some of her certainty. Sadly, he suspected what she had already interpreted: announcing her win made her more of a target. She claimed that the games with heights were the most exciting of all, but he wasn't so keen on the idea of falling, let alone seeing any of them plummet. Pericles suggested that they stay together, then on hearing Xailah and Ruby agree while River nodded, he felt his confidence solidify further. It would be three less wands to worry about, at least for the start of the game.

There was no plan. They flew in no formation, but that was no matter. Their little flock nearly made up one-third of the players present. Pericles made a point to space himself out from the witches he flew with to ensure that if he was hit, he didn't go bumbling into them. At the start, he seemed to be playing on the defensive. Xailah had previously advised Peri to first pick off loners in these games, but his empathy always won out over strategy when it came to lone wolves. The second-year shuddered on imagining how different this fun match might have felt if it wasn't for his friends present. He shared Ruby's sentiment: he was glad not to be alone. The spell he slung for Flash wasn't directly harmful, but being rendered still for any amount of time in this game was exceedingly dangerous. It was a satisfying strike, though the initial sensation of victory would be whipped away with his wand.

While he hadn't heard May's meekly whispered spell, Xailah, in proper feline fashion, was toying with her prey. He heard her shout overhead while wide eyes scoured the grounds, swiftly searching for a glimmer of pale aspen in the night. Pericles was vaguely aware of Ruby joining in on the retaliation, but among the Valkyries he flew with, River was now plummeting. There was no split second of deliberating whether he should track his wand or dive. When Pericles proposed an alliance, he hadn't done so simply out of a desire to win. It meant something to him, he was never one for betrayals, notions of "good form" were woven into the fabric of his person. Loyalty would only be set aside if they were the last ones standing; it did not end until them. Pericles nosedived with an arm outstretched, foregoing a turn to search for his wand. He wasn't utterly powerless without it- there was still something he could at least try to do.

Action: Attempting to Catch River and place her on the ground.

There was really only one word to describe her situation right now.

Fuck.

Not the most beautiful word (though some might disagree) but the young redhead felt like it perfectly summed up her thoughts at the moment. Yes, that was indeed what Scarlett was thinking as she gripped her ancient school broom, swerving to the isolated corner of the pitch to assess her predicament. There wasn't much to actually, well, assess, but she knew a few things - her attempt to help her friend Cash had failed, the sneaky fourth-year Gryffindor boy managing to dodge both her and the Slytherin's attacks. As well as that, in her haste to assist Cash, she hadn't noticed a particular Anastasia Beckett flying towards her, wand out, eyes hard. The third-year had blown Scarlett's wand right out of her hand, her wand dropping to the floor.

Oh shit, shit, shit, shit.

Scarlett wasn't one to curse so profusely and so often, yet the moment called for it. After a moment of despair, the Gryffindor had decided to fly to the corner and here she was. Hiding like a coward. She steeled herself. What was she thinking, lurking in the shadows like some snake? Not that she didn't like Slytherins, of course. Rolling her eyes, Scarlett entered the game again with a new resolve - attack Beckett, this time with the spells in her arsenal (not, you know, hand-to-hand Muggle fistfighting like last time), and dodge and swerve as much as she could with her stupid reflexes.

Scarlett went right into the thick of things, students casting and avoiding spells left and right. She decided not to go search and help Cash this time, knowing what disaster had come out of it. For now, she needed to focus on getting her wand back. Scarlett scanned the ground of the pitch quickly, her dark-brown eyes searching every inch of what she could see in her proximity area. Then she dodged a few others on their brooms, searching another area of -

WHAM

Scarlett found herself hanging off her broom, one hand gripping the handle for dear life. She gritted her teeth, pulling herself up powered by her sheer determination. She saw her attacker - the boy her friend Rose Moon had described so fondly. Sweet and kind, Rose's new boyfriend was a guy called Eyre Reeves. A guy who had evidently just attacked her. Rose had terrible taste in boys, it seemed.

Scarlett glared at the boy, zooming away as fast as she could on the school broom to search for her wand, shouting, "You bastard!" as she went off. The game seemed to have brought more 'bad words' into her vocabulary.

Scarlett searched the ground again for her wand. Once she had retrieved it, there would be hell to pay.

The Gryffindor's eyes flashed dangerously when her spell landed and her victim's wand went flying. Pressing her lips together, she tried to determine a course of action. On the one hand, this was a game of strategy, and it might not do well to focus so strongly on a single target this early into it. On the other hand, she was disarmed, which gave Anastasia a prime opportunity to finish her off, and let's be honest, Ana desperately wanted to send her flying from her broom. Served her right for the vicious rumors she was spreading about Ana. There were certain lines that even Ana deemed it wrong to cross. Said lines were few and far in between, but they did exist.

Glancing around, she could already see that Flash seemed to have taken a spell of some kind since he was moving as though he was stuck in one of those nasty Pureblood gelatin desserts. She made a mental note to remedy that in the next round if it was still needed. Willow also seemed to be blindfolded, but Ana was a bit less concerned about that since Willow hadn't received the flurry of attacks that Flash had.

Turning her focus back to the subject of her ire, she straightened up in surprise as another spell went flying towards Scarlett. A flash of anger coursed through her. Who dared to attack her prey? Granted, it was a game, and the entire point was to hex one another, but still. Her anger dissipated slightly when she saw that the spell had come from Eyre. They made eye contact for a moment before Ana turned her gaze back to Scarlett. Eyre seemed to be offering an olive branch, which Ana had exactly zero interest in accepting. She knew she had been hurtful at the train station, but she also knew that the very last thing she needed right now was to allow herself to weaken and be vulnerable in any way. It was the same reason she was doing her best to ignore Ruby and Rafa. Out of everyone on the planet, it seemed to the rather illogical Gryffindor that the people she could lean on the least were her closest friends.

Chewing her lip, she made a snap descision before attacking Scarlett again. Even if Eyre had already finished her, it was deeply satisifying to have a legal excuse to hex her a few more times. Granted, the legalty of hexing wasn't something that would concern her if she was given another opportunity, but not having to worry about detention was rather nice.

Interacting with : @Eyre Reeves | Mentioning : Alan Vanes - Anastasia Beckett - Pericles Dralt - River Dewlight - Scarlett Aden

Spells are thrown left and right. Some people managed to dodge the spell that being directed at them. When Alan successfully dodge the Knockback Jinxed that was thrown from both Cash and Scarlett, Cash let out a bit grimace at that.

It is not the second year intention to harm others but all is fair in game and war, right? I mean they can throw jinxes and spells as their heart desire and at the end they will not get detention for it, who does not love that.

Cash was about to approach Scarlett and said yes to the alliance but it looks like the redhead Gryffindor already in trouble. First her wand was knocked from out of her hands by one Ana Beckett. The other Gryffindor looks like have some personal vendetta against the redhead second year, then Eyre managed to knocked Scarlett off of her broom.

Good thing the redhead Gryffindor manage to pulled herself up. On the other side, someone had knocked River out of her broom and now the last year victor is free falling. Cash hoping the other prefect (Pericles) can catch her in time. If not well it definitely a worthy trip to the Hospital Wing. Cash shook their head and focus back at the game.

Once again Ana casted her spell to Scarlett and Eyre done the same thing. Whether Cash and Scarlett are alliance or not, Cash will help her. Scarlett was nice enough to help the green eyes to casted Flipendo on Alan. It is time to return the favor. The purple hair then fly up and line themselves not far behind Eyre.

They pointed out their wand to the end of Eyre's school broom. "Incendio"The second year Slytherin hoping the damage to the school broom was not so severe. If the damage to the school broom that Eyre use was that severe, well they have to face Professor Jemari to explain how it happen and will replace the damage that they just done.

Maybe just maybe the spell is enough to distract Eyre.

Alan had not much time to be happy about this successful spell of his and instead had to dodge three different spells that had all been shot in his direction. Easy as that was and with practiced reflexes the fourth year was not hit by a single one of them. Steadying himself in the air once again, he was about to cast a spell when he heard the muttered incantation of a familiar spell; a spell he knew all too well. His head whipped around as he caught sight of Cassandra who he had met previously and who also had been one of the people to cast a spell at him. Alan couldn't help but narrow his eyes narrowed as he followed her gaze as he found the form of a vaguely familiar boy. With that Alan rushed forward to shield of the possible fire spell that would have headed towards Eyre's direction and if it were successful, the fourth year would take the hit for the other boy. But he did that not without casting a spell of his own, back towards the girl who had apparently not cared to follow the few rules this club had. Was she not aware about the dangers of this spell?
