Confrontation Between Professors
כַּעַס
Anger was piercing through the veins of Maya's body. Her thoughts were running in her mind wondering how a school could be so politically correct. This was war. Students were in danger. There was no such thing as a politically correct decision when lives were threatened. How could the professors not see that? Instead, they choose to move the children home, away from Hogwarts?
The worst part was that some of the Professors understood her. She knew the background of many. It was in her interest to know who she was working with. The one person who should have been on her side from the start was none other than Sergei Yornikovych. She knew he was a man who knew of war from a different perspective than the rest. And yet, he did not say his position.
Leaving her Muggle Studies office, where Maya was brewing uncontrollably in her chair near the desk, she went straight to the sixth floor, where the Transfiguration office of Sergei would be located. Heading up the stairs in her red cloak, she ignored the students who were looking at her. She most likely not only had RBF, but she knew that not a lot of the students knew who she was. Muggle Studies was meant for third years and everyone in the school were first years.
Climbing up the stairs, one hand grabbing her robe to prevent herself from slipping and the other holding on the rail, she finally made it to the sixth floor from the second. Galim gracefully walked towards the office, her mind on a task. When angry, Maya didn't care to be polite. She turned the knob of the door and slammed it open.
"I know a lot about you, Yornikovych," she said, her Israeli accent thick, skipping the formalities. "You were not an honest man," she added, slamming the door closed behind her as she gracefully walked in. Maya crossed her arms and stayed silent, staring her eyes down at the old man. She was not going to hold his hand and tell him what he was not honest about. He surely knew. Galim waited for his answer.
It better be a good one.

Despite the nature of the meeting, he didn't expect it to go the way it did. It wasn't as heavy on his mind but he had a lot of different mental conversations in which he was more honest. It was true, he dressed his answer up quite nicely in front of the others. But he also agreed with the other side of his stated opinion, there was an urgency needed for the students of Hogwarts to be prepared. Danger could be at the foot of their doorsteps and they might not be prepared.
No amount of protection spells could keep them from harm, in the end it was the capability of the individual that would determine their survival. He had learned that in Durmstrang multiple times. This was one person, yet the motive was so unclear that he didn't underestimate what they were capable of. A death of a student was one too many, but a part of his brain that nagged him otherwise. Light streamed through the windows of his classroom, a sonograph softly played music in the background, and the Professor was seated at his desk.
Even after it all, he managed to find some time to finish grading his papers. Yet that was disturbed when his door flew open as if a gust had blown it in. His head shot up to look at the intruder, Maya Galim. From what she said, it must be about the meeting. The hand that held the quill twitched as he watched her storm up to his desk with what looked like the fury of a thousand storms. From the time he's known her, he knew how confrontational she could be and it was something he respected. At the same time, it was also something that annoyed him.
His features hardened as he straightened himself in his chair. With his own thick Bulgarian accent, he looked at his paper and replied, "Perhaps there's times where we cannot take such an aggressive approach. Also good evening to you too, Galim." Not too honest. Sergei bit his tongue, shaking his head as he realized he that she would skewer him with such an answer. He turned his gaze back up to the Israeli woman, she was quite imposing in such a position. The man stood up, crossing his own arms with an annoyed expression on his face.
"Say I was to agree with you. You would have probably lost your point if I had agreed and I think you know why. Blackburn or anyone else but I would have been a better person to side with you." Sergei pinched the bridge of his nose, making a small noise as he closed his eyes ever so briefly. His thinking wasn't exactly straight, it was a little impaired in the beginning. "What I am saying is that I would have hurt your case, rather than helped it. The majority would have won, regardless." Sergei opened his eyes, loosening his arms to stick them in his dress pants.
His gruff voice changed, the annoyed tone subsided ever so slightly. "You can still talk to Blackburn, you know? Make him see your side, he is the one person you truly need to convince. There was too much opposition in that room, it is easier to state your case to one person - rather than a whole court. At least that is my thought of it." he mused. Sergei wasn't a tactician, yet he had learned how to work himself around people sometimes. After all, he was someone who picked his fights.

Confrontation Between Professors
Crossed arms broke apart as one of her hands rose up to her chin, thinking. She slowly walked from where visitors would stand towards Sergei, her mind still looking as though she was "thinking" however, she was only trying to make a point. One foot at a time, Maya got closer to Sergei a fake laugh and smile on her face.
"Sounds like someone is trying to save their job more than their students," she outed him. Maya felt good to put him in his place, but she was still angry at him. He made her look like an idiot in front of the professors. She was the only one who wanted to hit fire with fire while everyone, including Sergei, had wanted to run.
Her point made, and the professor in front of him standing tall, she leaned against his desk, half sitting on the oak wood furniture.
"Oh I will make him see my side, Yornikovych," she said, her voice threatening, her brown eyes piercing through Sergei's. "And you are going to help me," she added. Galim was not going to take no as an answer.
She knew Yornikovych was a man who hailed from Durmstrang school. They were just as much of fighters as Maya grew up to be. Her years in combat on the Israeli Defense Force has changed her to a woman of war and right now, it was starting. This is the time to stand and believe in what was right; nothing more.

Her comment caused him to blow some steam from his nostrils, scowling at the younger woman for saying such a thing. But he didn't say much about it, he didn't want to end up having a spitting contest with Maya about how wrong she is. Of course he cared about his students, his background just supersedes his opinion in his eyes. The Bulgarian arched his brow at her demand, she really had guts and her own history seemed to reinforce it.
"You come into my room to my classroom like an erumpent on the loose, make me explain myself, and now you demand my time? You have guts, Galim. It is sometimes unbearable." he glared, his head slightly tilted down towards her. Sergei fell silent as he looked up towards the ceiling in thought. Should he? Or should he not? She can't make him go after all, not unless she tortured him or something. But he doubt she would resort to such lengths, perhaps blackmailing him was her style. He looked back at the seated professor, looking a little less peeved than before.
"Be thankful it is not one of those times. Fine, I will bite. I do not suppose you'd let me say otherwise even if I refused." he spoke, rolling his eyes slightly. The man stepped away from his desk to grab his eraser from the board. The sleeves of his dress shirt were rolled up to his elbow and some of the scars he's received over the years showed. He didn't get it from dueling, rather from his time spent as a brown bear. "I did not think I would need to use my wand for more than my classes and occasionally disarming troublemakers. I have grown 'rusty' over the months, years even."
Sergei sighed and erased the mandrake leaf he had on the board, he still had his work from his talk with Eri Windstone. He set the eraser down and brushed some of it off of his shirt. He glanced over his shoulder at the Muggle Studies Professor, "Do you think you could take this person? If it is even a person." He had his answers in mind, the Bulgarian wanted to know hers though. When he got the change, he liked to poke and prod Galim's mind if possible.

Confrontation Between Professors
HIS room? Nothing in here is his, she thought, remembering the office years ago when she was in Hogwarts. This room belonged to a woman of valor. A woman who she gave the utmost respect. And here comes the man in front of her take possession of everything without caring of its history. Watching him roll up his sleeves, she saw scarred marks randomly placed. Maya knew exactly what he was. Sergei was an Animagus; he had the ability to transform into an animal. His animal of choice happened to be the large brown bear. Maya never found an interest in Transfiguration, but if she did and practiced her body transformation, she would have chosen something that flew than stayed on the ground.
A smirk on her red lips spread across her face, her cheekbones defined. Of course he'd want to know, she thought and she twisted her body to sit on the desk towards him. She placed one leg over the other and slightly leaned in.
He hadn't used his wand in years? she thought, thinking of how many times she used her wand. Granted, she was much younger than he was. She knew that this was then the perfect opportunity to share her
"נסים גדולים" she said, speaking her native language. "It is a saying from my people. Do you know what it means, Yornikovych?" she paused, making her point strong. "Big miracles. It would be just that to personally take on whom- or whatever enters the premises. But..., Galim paused once more and hopped off the desk, her eyes passionate about her plan.
"If we all worked together and fight, we can, she finished, her heart beating fast from her emotions running high. Maya knew that this was to work. It was the only way.
"We are to duel in front of students. Showing them the true essence of attack and defense," she finally said it. Maya's heart was still racing from her proposal of what she wanted to do. Still looking fierce on the outside, she was hopeful on the inside.
