Disdain
The doors to the abandoned girls lavatory burst open, emerging a fuming second year student who slammed the door shut in return. She screamed in frustration, casting Periculum at the broken mirrors in front of her.
Red sparks emitted from Lana's wand, though died out quickly and did nothing against the rotting sink fountains. She leaned over the sink, her eyes meeting her own in the reflection across from her; only the mirror was shattered, distorting Lana's appearance to look ghastly.
How could she be so stupid? How could she have let her pride overcome her so easily? She cursed herself as she shut her eyes, wiping her nose with her sleeve. She looked pathetic, and for what? She was better than every single mud-blood here, and was surely more important by a long shot. Yet that idiotic first year still had the audacity to insult herself and her family. She could hardly even comprehend it.
Though what if she was right? What if she was just a screw up among her family being sorted into Ravenclaw? Her entire immediate were all pure-bred Slytherins, so why not her as well? She leaned against the cold brick wall as she slid down slowly, her head now buried in her knees.
She racked her brain for any sort of possibility that could seriously have put her into Ravenclaw without it have being her fault. She'd probably been there an hour coming up with nothing, staring bitterly at the stone tile floor. Though, she begun to wonder if someone had managed to bribe the sorting hat to put her into the wrong house. It wasn't impossible.. and her family was quite controversial on the topic of blood purity.. What if someone did something to the hat to screw over Lana!
She tried to think of people, distinct names and faces that she could recognize and know they could perhaps dislike her mother and father. Though, due to her distaste for her mother's dinner parties as a child, she could hardly think of anyone. She groaned, placing her wand in her lap as she grimaced.
Hogwarts was such a stupid place.

Matrix would be walking down the hallways, minding his business. He really had nowhere to go. The corridor he was walking through seemed fairly empty. He could see a girl in the distance run into a room, he could not see which one it was. She seemed to be upset, but Matrix could not tell. He would here the sound of the door slamming. Matrix, being the curious person he is, walked a little faster.
He would see that the girl had gone into the girls lavatory. Definitely none of his business, but something about it seemed of. He remembered hearing about a haunted toilet somewhere here, could this be it? Even so, no matter how curious he was, there was no way be would enter the washroom of the opposite sex, he had some decency. He would hear a scream followed by a word he did not recognize, maybe a spell? Matrix would back away, a little nervous, and a little scared.
He would turn away and began walking to the end of the corridor, though his mind kept drifting to what happened. A mysterious girl, in a mysterious room casting a mysterious spell, how could he resist the temptation that pulled him to check out what was going on. He would be so deep in thought that he seemed to have turned back around and be on his way back to the room. Matrix would shake his head, he would tell himself to just walk past it. He would hear a faint cry coming from inside. By now, his curiosity was completely taking over his body as he found himself standing right in front of the door.
He would take a look around, he was the only person in the corridor at the moment, but would here footsteps at the end of the hallway. If he were to enter, now was the time to do so. Taking a deep breath and push the door open and enter. He would close the door behind him as quietly as possible. He would then turn towards the room, looking around in awe, it looked like any other lavatory in the school, only dirtier.
In front of him, he would see a girl, sitting on the floor, her head not visible as it was buried in knees. She seemed visibly distressed, and Matrix’s facial features softened. He wanted to comfort her, but did not know how. He took a step forward, but would stop, not wanting to disturb her.

Lana picked up her head immediately, her hand quickly grabbing her wand to point it at the entering student. She glanced at their attire, a yellow and black tie tucked neatly into their black robes. She sighed as relief flooded over her, though she didn't lower her wand, wanting the first year to be afraid.꧁༒• @Matrix Kaida •༒꧂
They seemed to be staring at her, their blue eyes seemingly worried. She grimaced at the thought of her looking so pathetic in front of them, standing up quickly and dusting off her robes. "This is a girl's bathroom you know, what bushiness do you have in here?' She said reproachfully, lowering her wand and placing it by her side. She knew very well no one used these toilets in years, not with all the rumors this place has. Moaning Myrtle, The Chamber of Secrets..; She knew about it all. Nonetheless she was sure they didn't know any better, deciding to use the situation to her advantage.
She wondered what they thought of her as they stood in silence, her dark colored eyes staring intently. She'd seemed to have lost her pride earlier, though it was slowly building itself back up again, leaving Lana awaiting the young boy's response.

The girl seemed to notice his entrance. By the next second, he would find a wand pointed directly at him. Matrix would blink in surprise and instinctively take a step back. He would also quickly whip out his cherry wand and point it at her. He really did not know how to duel or know any spells that would aid him, so he was hoping that the girl would believe his bluff. She seemed to be in Ravenclaw, judging by the blue and black on her robes.
She would ask him what he was doing in the girl's bathroom, lowering her wand. Matrix would do the same, putting his own wand away, but close enough to pull it out in a moment’s need. “Isn’t this the abandoned toilets?” He would ask cautiously. It would be super embarrassing and awkward if it was not, but by judging by the state of the room, he would bet that it was. “My name is Matrix by the way” He would say, hoping that the girl would tell him her name too. “Are you okay?” He would ask, cocking his head to the side. He wanted to help her on whatever may have upset her, but did not know how to approach her.

Jay Victoria was bloody bored and moody, they were planning to go to the abandoned toilets and vandalize the walls, and perhaps try to destroy a stall door for the sake of destroying. They were currently wearing a black turtleneck along with the girls uniform skirt in which they wore rarely. After all, their legs were skinny and frail, often tripping on their own shoelaces and getting bruises. As they walked down the hall in a rush they heard a screech, was that a ghost? Jay knew some ghosts just liked to cause chaos and scare students sometimes.@Matrix Kaida @Lana Monet
They stopped walking, a younger male student walked into the abandoned girls bathroom, bloody hell??, what did he think he was doing? Jay took a breath and quickly rushed to the abandoned toilets, maybe someone got hurt? Now that would be quite entertaining, Jay could just imagine blood all over the bathroom floors, that would certainly be a feast for their sadistic eyes.
"oh."
It was that one girl they met over the summer, she had an interesting but odd sense of fashion. And she was a pureblood too, very respectable. They were both staring at eachother, and Jay found this quite amusing. They smirked and looked down at the girl.
"Nice to see you again, didn't know you had a boyfriend miss," they said teasingly. "-And what might your name be?" they asked the boy, their right hand reaching out to him for a handshake. "Yer girlfriend looks pissy, got into a lovers quarrel, mate?" Jay had then whispered loudly on purpose, continuing their playful tone.

Lana glared at them, finding their rhetorical questions idiotic. "If you consider mental breakdowns in the middle of a bloody bathroom, then yes, I'm perfectly fine." She spat, her eyes glancing away from him as she shook her head. She half considered to walk out, to not even grace him with her presence, though as she looked over to the door, she noticed it seemed to open again by none other than the student she'd met in London over the summer.꧁༒• @Matrix Kaida @Jane Victoria •༒꧂
They spoke with amusement in their voice, almost as if they were looking down at her. She turned her head quickly, her eyes filled with fury as she faced the teasing Gryffindor. She knew they were only being playful, though Lana didn't find endearment in making a joke of herself. She was well aware standing here was a waste of time, engaging in an argument that would soon not matter an hour later. Yet, she couldn't leave now or else they'd think she was a sensitive child. Her pride meant more to her than that.
"As if I'd ever date a measly first year; and a Hufflepuff at that." She said spitefully, not meeting the boy's eyes. She knew what she said was mean, which almost comforted Lana in a way. At least this way she knew she was back to her old self again; the disgusting arrogant girl that everyone loved to hate.

The girl would tell him that she was having a mental breakdown. “Oh,” he would say, trying to think of something to comfort her. He really had no idea on how to approach her. She seemed frustrated, so Matrix did not want it to be taken out on him. She was definitely older than him, so she probably knew some powerful spells. He was not sure, but did not want to find out.
Before he could think about something, he heard the door behind him open, he would turn around to find someone else to come into the bathroom. He could of sworn that he saw no one else in the hallway once he came in. He then remembered hearing those footsteps before, could that have been them?
They seemed to have mistaken him as her boyfriend. “But I don’t even know her” He would exclaim looking at her with an inquisitive look. They seemed to know her, so perhaps they where her friend. They would then ask for his name, “Matrix Kaida, pleasure to meet you.” He would say, shaking the hand offered to him, firmly. “What about you?” He would ask, trying to keep the introduction as casual as he could. The girl would then say that she would never date a first year, especially a Hufflepuff. “What’s so wrong with Hufflepuff?” He would ask curiously. “It is a nice house, quite enjoyable”

"Jay, Jay Victoria, pureblood."@Matrix Kaida @Lana Monet
They then put both hands into their pockets, and looked back at the other pureblood. Jay found her reply quite hilarious, though they only let out a chuckle, "Ha, all Hufflepuffs are measly, first year or not," They said. Jay knew they were being stereotypical but no one at their manor would find it acceptable for them to be friends with a Hufflepuff- so the easy way of doing things was to be especially cruel to them. Either way, the Hufflepuffs they've met were annoying in their opinion, but really, Jay Victoria basically found half of Hogwarts annoying.
A yawn escaped from their mouth, they quickly took one hand out of their pocket to cover it. Last night they had gotten only and hour of sleep and their eyebags were coming back. It was as if going to Hogwarts made their life much more tiring... heh.
They turned to Monet again, "So... Miss Monet, was it? You seem moody, what shat in yer soup?" Jay said bluntly, the girl had clearly something going on in her eyes, Jay could see that. Or perhaps she was just always pissy, though, last time they met she wasnt so much like this. She was just rather interesting, or maybe the fact that she was a pureblood was making them more biased... Maybe.
