Eris had a feeling they weren't going to be able to hide themselves with any type of charm. They were first years, and Eris hadn't even been able to cast one spell without messing up yet. The Gryffindor girl had a feeling that they were just going to have to sneak around the halls of Hogwarts, which was fine. The school was huge anyways, and who would notice two little girls creeping around the hallways in a vain attempt to save the school?

They were going to be heroes. Eris's chest swelled in pride just thinking about it. The whole world would know about them. There would be articles written, songs sung, books, interviews, maybe even muggle tv shows written about the two girls who had saved the world from the dangerous disease known as cooties. Eris could hardly wait, even though she was nervous to brave the hallways of the school. They couldn't exactly save the world if they got infected themselves. Wishing they were old enough to hide themselves with magic, or had an invisibility cloak like the once-hero, now criminal Harry potter did, Eris sighed and leaned over the girl's shoulder.

Peach. That was a pretty name. "I'm Eris." She said in response, smiling back at the hufflepuff girl and new friend. "That's a good plan. But hopefully we don't get caught," She said with another wicked smile.

The young girl's name was Eris. So original and pretty. Peach smiled and nodded at her friend, then took a step outside of the classroom, her book in hand. She had her wand hidden in her sleeve and her eyes were scanning the corridor in search for anyone contagious. She took thwo adventurous little steps before sneakily looking over to her right, into an empty classroom. She slightly sighed in relief and walked to the stairs.

These ones were unbelievable, always doing whatever they wanted and it was never of any good for anyone. They would bring you to floors you didn't want to go to and they often made students trip. It was said that you could even hear their laughs, piercing through the busy crowds. The young girl checked if her friend was following and she carefully stepped on one of the still stair ways. She waited for Eris to be next to her before going any further. No students were visible on the stairs leading to the fourth floor. The youg girl steadily walked on the steps, holding on tight to the sides. She panicked a little when she felt the stair rumble uner them and move to the right, slowly. She lost her balance and nearly fell over, catching herself onto her friend's robe.

" Ugh, I'm sorry, these strairs are awful. " she said, getting herself up. As if the stairs heard, they moved even further and brung them to the second floor, one under where they had to be. Peach sighed.  " God, I hate this! "

Eris followed after her new friend, wand clutched in clammy hands. The thrill of saving the world had slightly faded, replaced by a healthy fear of getting the dangerous viral infection that was running rampart through the extremely massive castle. Making each step as soft as she could, which wasn't all that impressive as the red-head had no idea how to sneak around, Eris followed Peach into another abandoned classroom and then up the stairs.

They were in plain sight of everyone now, and just one wrong move could lead to both of them getting infected. Luckily nobody was around, so Eris followed Peach up the steps. She smiled faintly at her new friend, as she paused to look back at Eris. Everything seemed to be going to plan, until Peach lost her balance and fell into Eris's robes. Eris let out a little gasp of surprise, bending down to help up the other girl.

Before she had even reached the floor to offer Peach a hand, Peach was up. The hufflepuff girl looked fine, if not a little bit displeased with the moving stairs. As Peach made her comment about how awful the stairs were, Eris laughed. "I hate them too! Like why can't they be normal stairs!" Eris proclaimed, glaring at the stairs like they were alive.

These stairs were evil. Pure and simple evil. They had no goodness whatsoever in them and their purpose in this world was to make students suffer all through their school years. Everyone knew it and it was really, really obvious. Peach suspiciously looked down, trying to analyse what other act they were going to make but nothing happened. She sighed and gave her friend an exhausted look before walking to the right floor.

The excitement of becoming and internationally known star and saver of all started to balance it all out and suddenly, the stairs didn't seem that bad. I mean, they were horrible but cooties were horribler. Cooties killed people, but then the evil stairs probably did too. Peach felt really good about doing the right thing, which was saving the world from the horrible cootie invasion that was beginning in Hogwarts. She felt the tip of her fingers tickle from the happiness and her heart was racing a 500m race against the best pilots ever. Obviously it won but probably went near the heart attack.

The two girls reached the good floor and Peach smiled happily at Eris. They had had no encounters with anyone and everything went smoothly which was amazing.
