Today was a common day for Jo. Looking for a quiet place to study, although last weeks homework was a breeze, this weeks homework was up to debate, Jo who had previously rough School years this was a problem. She walked into the usually abandoned rehearsal rooms because ever since the Blossom ball nobody had anything to rehearse. But she walked into a rare sight, in the only rehearsal room there was already somebody.9/19/2020
In the room there stood another girl her hair pink, it really did suit the girl and she had to appreciate that she had put in the effort of maintaining it. She felt her face turn slightly pink, she wasn't prepared for this. I mean.. She was the one who was here first and she wasn't prepared to have company.
Jo stood there stunned she didn't know what to do, her mind kept tinkering, this was another thing that she had mentally without thinking added to things that have made her sad mad or annoyed the past month. I mean not talking to her first friend from the magical world was upsetting enough, not understanding and having what she thought was a boring class and a negative interaction with one of her classmates was enough for her to want to not eat and isolate herself until she calmed down.
"H-hi..? I guess?" She said nervously to the girl, racking her brain for ways to get out of this situation.

Ashlyn was in her own world while she was dancing, that is until she heard the door open. As she quickly stopped dancing, she turned around to see a girl standing there with books in her hands. She must have come here to study, she thought. She personally only came here to dance, though it was typically late at night, when she could presumably never get caught. Of course, there were the restless nights where she would go up to the astronomy tower instead, hoping to find her old friend Tarou, and there she would be greeted by the soft meows of her delicate, gray kitten. Of course, that was aside from the point. As she got a closer look at the girl, who was still standing by the door, she saw that the girl had red hair, which didn't quite make sense, considering that the girl's facial features were those of a young Asian girl, Then again, she thought,it could be dyed. She was still off in her own world when her thoughts were suddenly interupted when the girl spoke up. "H-hi...? I guess?, the girl said nervously, and Ashlyn decided to speak up as well. "Um... H-hi!

She recognised the girl from all the games she played at the Leaky cauldron, although this was their first interaction.
"Do I know you..?" Jo asked, her face was so familiar yet so new to her. She quietly cursed under her breath struggling to remember the girl's name she was sure she never heard it but she might have overheard somebody calling her somewhere.
Jo quickly straightened her ragged old clothes back to what she would count the best they could look.
"What's your name?" She asked the girl, maybe this could trigger her memory. she walked to the opposite side of the rehearsal room near the back. She put down her books as gently as she could but it still made a loud THUMP! that made Jo jump a bit. She turned around and leaned against the wall in her usual lazy position. If she could she would be in her cosy warm dormitory but since the library was too crowded to the point there was no point in staying there because it was so loud she came here.
"There's one rehearsal room, so how about this, I stay on this side and you stay on that side?" She asked smiling slightly the fact that it still wasn't going to be as loud as the library was still better.

"My name? Ashlyn, Ashlyn Winters. What about you mate?", she said before seeing the girl sit down on the opposite side of the room. She had recognized this girl from her many times playing games like "For a Sickle" and "The Game Of Truth" at The Leaky Cauldron, but she couldn't quite remember her name. Heck, has she even heard the girl's name before? (She probably had, considering the amount of time in which she had spent at The Leaky Cauldron. I mean, honestly, who has that much free time?) While Ashlyn was thinking, she didn't quite realize when the girl had spoken, and evidently, when the girl had decided to ignore her existence. "That's an interesting way to say your name...", she said before shaking it off and going back to her music. She walked over to the part of the room in which she would often keep her phone so that she could conveniently play her music, yet she couldn't find anything worth dancing to on her Spotify playlist. She had listened to Zimzalabim way too many times this week, she had just danced to Lie only a minute ago, and Peekaboo had been her go-to song for all of last month. She turned to the other girl. "Do you know of any good songs?"

Jo was a bit confused about the girl's questions and replies and comments. But at least it wasn't the worst thing that could happen.
"Thanks" she smiled at the girl, maybe this would not be a bad interaction."The only music I would really consider 'good' would be the Beatles"she said trying not to sound snarky or un-polite which in Jo's eyes was the next worst thing to telling people that they're a soggy waffle and should switch schools.
she turned to look at her books and started to sit down on the floor and about to open her book when her mind started tinkering. "How did you get your phone working on school grounds? Isn't muggle technology supposed to not work on Hogwarts grounds?" she asked her face in a an uncommon frown. Maybe it's her memory being weird but she remembered that Muggle technology doesn't work on school grounds. She opened one of the books on the floor by her and started looking through it to see if she was right. After a few moments of fidgeting and scanning the table of contents, she flipped to a page and started reading it. She had started to chew on the fact that maybe there was some magic attached to devices now because of how "necessary" they are to people. She sighed and looked the girl in the face and just smiled.
