And as a seventh person entered the room, Rose's gaze snapped up to her, taking her in- a pretty girl with glasses and a cheerful smile that didn't reach her eyes. Most people wouldn't notice, but Rose's eyes were just too observant, just too keen, for her to not automatically note that in her head. She knew everyone had some kind of problem in their life they were dealing with, whether it was with their family, their friends, or themself, Rose had accepted that at that point. Rose's objective was to not be another one or to add to that problem. Though not her greatest fear, one of her worst fears was to be the villian in someone else's story.
"Hi," Rose gave a little wave, though not as enthusiastic as hers. She felt really bad at not knowing her name... They had some classes together, so why didn't she know her name?! Ivy was her last name, Miss Ivy, some teachers called her.
What was her name?!
When she asked how they all were, Rose replied vaguely, "Fine, you?" She really didn't expect her to answer honestly, nobody really did, but it was nice of her to at least act like she cared.
Then Rose realized.
This felt all so convenient- seven students, all here for different reasons. Seven cauldrons. She felt a rising sense of dread, that stretched the tension inside her.
It was all so convenient... too convenient.
Oh. no. Why were they all here? And why did it feel like something horrible was going to happen? Rose shook the feeling away. Just because there were seven students and seven cauldrons didn't mean anything. Seven was just a number, after all. Little did Rose know, soon she would be saying, "I knew it!" and not for a good reason.
Rose shifted in unease, though she tried to push the strange thoughts out of her mind. "Have you any idea where Professor Ostrowski is?" Rose asked the newest member of the party. "We've all been..." Rose's gaze flicked to Alina, and then, with a warm smile, she corrected herself. "Well, most of us have been looking for him."

Henry watched at the five around him chatted with each other it seemed like a lot of them already knew each other already which was odd to some extent, Henry watched as Rose seem to ask Alina about a map that she was making and it certainly got Henry's attention but he went against his instinct to ask since it might have been personal or private.
It wasn't until a seventh person join the group that got Henry's attention, the person had black hair and didn't seem to be wearing any thing that said her house but it didn't matter since Henry made a connection that would come into play later. As he heard both Rose and Cash speak, mostly to the new person who entered the classroom he wasn't paying much attention has he saw that there were now seven people and seven cauldrons placed around the room.

It struck Henry as odd like the professor did this and called them on there on purpose or if a private lesson was starting and Henry interrupted, needless to say that something definitely didn't feel right and while he couldn't explain what it was yet, Henry intended to find out as his eyes glanced over to each of the seven cauldrons then to the other six people who out of everyone at Hogwarts just happened to be there in the potions classroom at that time and on that day, yep something was definitely wrong but what that was well give it some time and Henry would know.

Even though he was curious about why their were seven set up cauldrons in that classroom along with seven students, he wasn't going to waste a moment or act antisocial instead maybe one of the others would know what's going on and if they didn't maybe they could help him get to the bottom of whatever is going on. " Do you guys think the professor was preparing for a private lesson? Which is why their are cauldrons set out," Henry looked at each person before speaking again; Cash the slytherin whom Henry probably got along with the best out of everyone else in their house, Rose a red haired quidditch and creature lover that had a lot in common with Henry, Alina a hufflepuff who when Henry ran into was also going through a few things like he has, he then looked over at the three he didn't know; the other boy seemed to be in his same year along with the black haired girl who just walked in but the last one seemed to be a year younger then the group which made Henry wonder how they all ended up there at the same time and why.

One moment there was 3 other students and the next there was 7. It seemed as if everyone was at a loss to where the professor was. She had greeted everyone with either a small "hello" or a nod of the head acknowledging them. Akari looked closer at everyone, but didn't really recognise any of their faces. The boy who was there when she had first walked in introduced himself as Henry. Ok... one name down, 5 more to go She noted to herself. A few of the others had spoken to each other using names but Akari did not pick them up since she was slightly distracted by the whole situation. She hadn't said much to any one, not because she was shy, but because she was in deep thought. Her brain was flooded with all sorts of questions. She was still trying to figure out where her notes were and then this whole strange encounter... it was a lot.

Then to her surprise one of the students remembered her name which shook her out of her thoughts. Akari stared at them for a moment not being able to recall where she had seen them before. Finally after a few awkward seconds of staring she put two and two together and realised that they had briefly seen each other at a birthday party during summer camp, but she couldn't think of their name for the life of her. "Yes, my name Akari" She replied with a small smile before adding with a touch of embarrassment in her voice
"Forgive me... I am not so good with names lately". Since Akari was a first year she was constantly meeting new people and it was in such a short period of time so all the names were getting scrambled in her mind.

Akari scanned the room glancing under the tables and chairs to see if her notes had fallen somewhere over in that area when her attention was yet again captured by the 7 cauldrons. She shifted from side to side uneasily. She had to admit, this. was. weird. In her eyes it appeared as if everyone had ended up here unintentionally... but there was exactly 7 cauldrons, and 7 of them. Was this all a just a rare coincidence?

The only other boy in the classroom identified himself as Henry, which let Nick match another name to a face besides Alina. Just as he got another name of someone in the group, another girl with dark hair entered, bringing the number of people's names he didn't know back up to four. She seemed to be a bit disappointed to see all these people here, and Nick could absolutely understand that. Unlike the line for the washroom, the line of questioning felt like it went on forever.

That girl also made the number of people in the group equal to the number of cauldrons. That was a bit jarring for Nick because, at least he thought so, most people didn't plan their visits to the classroom beforehand. He definitely didn't, so even if everyone else had, there should be only six cauldrons, right? "I mean I didn' sign up for a class, n' it seems might lucky that there's seven students n' seven cauldrons. Unless he's a seer n' predicted this, but I don' think sae." Nick said in response to Henry trying to assess the situation.

Having at least a bit of control over his seer powers would be nice. Nick had just learned he probably was one a couple of weeks ago when he saw a girl was going to die horrifically, which wasn't the nicest experience. So far that and the weird vision of that commanding man were the only visions he had. It was probably because the ability hasn't matured yet, but it was pretty annoying being left to the whim of your mind. At the very least, Nick wished it could give him some hindsight, like for this situation.

Just then, the smallest girl in the group squeaked something out. Nick assumed she was a First-Year since she seemed even more confused about who everyone was than him, the guy who rarely talks to anyone. It was quite overwhelming in a sense, everyone trying to figure out what was going on while being all buddy-buddy with their friends. "Well let me help ye out with mine, 'm Nick, nice tae make yer acquaintance Akari." he said to the First Year.

Okay, so, Moon was definitely suspicious of her. Autumn did not trust the small wave and that vague "fine, you?" the tiniest amount. However, she had to keep up her game. If Moon was suspicious of her now, she would be far more suspicious if Autumn suddenly dropped her expression and her act. Suspicion was not good. Perhaps it would be better if she dropped the act already and hoped for the best.

Yeah, because that would totally work out.

Well, who cared if it did or didn't? These were strangers who she probably would not see again (with the exception of Alina Rosier). She could at least act like herself.

So, like a deceitful loser and a bored loner who had nothing better to do than watch people with far more interesting lives than her.

This is not the right time to quote Wyatt Starkey. No, scratch that, there is no right time to quote Wyatt Starkey.

Autumn stopped her mind from wandering and turned back to the issue at hand. She should act like herself, but herself sucked. However, if being herself meant that she had to suck, she supposed sacrifices had to be made.

She stopped playing her cheerful role and stood closer to the shadows and potion equipment. She put on her resting face; a disappointed glare and mildly disinterested expression.

Okay, great, she was done with that issue. What on earth was next?

Oh, yeah, avoiding the wrath of her mother. So, she could do that by finding the professor. However, he had not been in his office, and he clearly wasn't in his classroom now. So, what was going on?

Looking back at the others, she saw that Moon was looking at her expectantly. Crap, had she asked Autumn a question?

"Oh? Excuse me, could you please repeat yourself?"

She was polite as she spoke, but, since she was no longer fake-cheerful-Autumn, her tone was colder, more ruthless and uncaring. She hoped Moon wouldn't notice, although she knew that the Gryffindor would.

"Yeah, it's still making me as crazy as ever,"
she said of the map as she showed Rose the bit she was working on. When Rose said that they needed to catch up, she somehow felt that she knew things weren't good with her right now and Alina nodded a little. She hoped things were better for Rose. Second year was off to a pretty lousy start for her.

When it was then asked by another student whether or not the professor was planning private lessons, Alina sighed. Was THAT how some of the students got ahead? Got good grades? She worked so hard to get even a passing grade at times and for some they could effortlessly get amazing grades. She always did envy those sorts of people but what if it was because they wanted extra classes? What if it was because they met extra with the professor? Was this some sort of bribe or something a professor did with the students they liked best?

Curious, Alina stepped away from the others and closer to the cauldrons on the workspace, wondering if she'd see any ingredients in them already. Maybe the area was already prepped for a project.

Let your confidence shine, pretty girl. <3

Another joins the 6, completing the unlucky 7 and matching the students to the caldrons that laid around the table that with a closer look and unaware to the 7 students were already simmering with substances waiting to be brewed. As the 7 started to reconnect or get to know one another, friends are catching and friendships start to form as there seems to be some tension between Autumn ivy and Rose moon. Will the two girls find peace or will they dread meeting each other as time goes on and the unlucky 7 earn their rightful name. However more of that later, right now something is brewing and not just the caldrons as the students discuss where the professor is while they make the mistake by each standing by a specific caldron. Alina, Rose, and Autumn are standing together in front of three caldrons that are placed in the center of the room which makes it easier for Alina to spy on what is shimmering in the caldrons. Cash, Caelan, and Henry the slytherin trio are standing together on the left side of the room in front of three other caldrons and Akari our lonely first year is on the right in front of the lonely caldron. As time goes on, it seems like the lights went out and everything with completely dark and impossible to see which was a prefect time for one of our students Cash to place some exploding powder in each of the caldrons before retaking their spots as the lights went back up.

No one knew and no one saw anything as each of them started wonder what happened that's when it happened. One after the other, caldrons started to explode until all of the 7 were cracked and surrounded by the left over potions and ash. It was a surprise that the potions professor, @Aleksander Ostrowski wasn't there to hear this but something tells the students that he will soon be and ready to punish them for their rule breaking that they didn't do but couldn't help but be there since trouble always follows these guys around, let's see how this plays out now ~

Henry looked around the room still with more than enough thoughts on his mind for this anxious second year to handle but was soon distracted for a few minutes as the younger girl introduced herself as Akari before asking the others what there names were and Henry only had a few minutes to take that in as the only other boy in the group introduced himself as Nick in which Henry now quickly piped in mainly to Nick and Akari " It's nice to meet you both and also know your names now, do you think the professor is a seer Nick? Do you know anything about seers is that why you asked?" Henry was curious to hear his answer before hearing the girl who just walked in ask Rose a question who from Henry's view seemed to be talking about map with Alina that again got his attention. Henry looked around and was about to leave before the lights suddenly turned off which made the boy jump back a bit and look around as he spoke " what's happening? Where did the lights go?" After a few minutes of Henry looking around and trying not to move so he didn't trip on anything the lights return and he again saw the faces of Cash and Nick who seemed to be the closest to him then to Alina and Rose who were also near the unknown girl it seemed then Henry found Akari who was standing alone.

Now he was feeling weird and felt odd about all of this so just when Henry was about to say goodbye and leave the classroom that's when the 7 caldrons exploded leaving the group in it's after mass.
Henry quickly took a few steps away from the caldrons closest to him as he block any pieces of it from hitting him then when it was over he turned to the others as he spoke " what just happened?"

OCC Note: IC no one knows that Cash was responsible for this

Cash let out a small chuckle after Akari said that she is not good with names. "Don't we all like that?"They stated. "I mean with this castle so big and have enormous amount of students every year, who could keep up?"They joke lightly. The quite boy introduced himself as Nick.

When the other Slytherin boy talked, he has accent that reminded them of one Professor MacTavish. "I am Cash"They told to Akari. Cash decided to follow what Henry did. The green eyes only introduced their name with their nickname. No need to be so personal or even too formal about it. Once all gathered in the classroom.

All of the students standing near their respective work spaces. The three Slytherins gather in one desk. Alina, Autumn and Rose at the other desk and while the young lioness (Akari) stand alone behind her cauldron.

Cash wondered with the set up of cauldrons. Does the professor know that somehow Slytherin always has a knack for trouble or something? If so, today the professor was in for a bit treat.

Cash smiled at themselves for about the plan that they just brewing in their mind. And suddenly darkness filled up the room. What a perfect coincidence, they thought to themselves. Cash tipped toed around the room and starting pouring some explosive powder to each and every cauldrons in front of the students, including their own.

The window of the opportunity are so small, so Cash need to work fast and stealthy without making a noise or dropping something in the process that would surely gave away that they are the culprit behind of what will happened in the next minutes. Cash hurriedly ran back to their station, almost tripped themselves in the process but successfully catch themselves.

When the light come back up. They already stand behind their cauldron. Inside the cauldron the powder start taking affecting of whatever the substances that already inside the cauldron before they put the explosive powder.

Cash counted internally and when the cauldron finally explode, they tried so hard to keep their poker face and not let out a big laugh that they are the one that make the cauldrons exploded.

It was a perfect timing, when the cauldrons exploded they let out a gasp and simultaneously Cash took a bit stepped back, only some of the splatter of the substances hit them. The first one that react to the incidence was Henry. He asked the room what had just happened.

"No clue"Cash stated with dumbfounded expression on their face as they swipe the remains of the splatter off their clothes as best as they can.

"You can call me Rose," Rose offered Akari, the girl who seemed a little lost in terms of everyone's name. "I'm not so good with names, either."
Ivy's tone changed drastically, proving that her former cheerfulness was fake. Rose felt chills run down her back and hoped she was going to be okay, but didn't comment on it. She blushed at her question. "I was just wondering if you knew where the professor was. Most of us are trying to find him- it's okay if you don't."
The lights went out and Rose moved a little closer to Alina, hoping that this was all a coincidence.
Boy, was she wrong.
Rose jumped when the lights went out, and migrated to a table, holding onto the side. The lights flicked back on and she found herself in front of a cauldron.
Oh crap.
The cauldrons began to explode, one by one. As the first one did, out of instinct, Rose flinched and grabbed Alina's forearm, not hard enough to hurt her or to hold onto her if she was shaken off. She ducked down into a squat, pulling her good friend down into a crouch as well. If Alina's balance was thrown off, which was just about as likely as not, Rose would steady her. From there, she would freeze, every muscle tensed until all of the cauldrons were done exploding. Rose didn't scream- she never screamed- she didn't make a noise. Once all of the cauldrons exploded, Rose let go of Alina's arm, slowly standing up to look at the cauldrons in horror- or, should we say, what was left of the cauldrons. They were more like piles of ash now. Rose brushed the little particles out of her hair. Her face flushed, and she apologized embarrassed to Alina, "I'm- sorry, it um... it surprised me." Her first instinct had been to duck herself down, and to duck Alina down, even though it hadn't been dangerous enough to kill either of them, Rose's instincts took over every thought, every muscle.
"What just happened?"
"I don't know," Rose whispered, shivering in her sweater. It really was cold down here in the dungeons, even though she was wearing a sweater. She pulled the sleeves a little farther over her arms.
What had happened? Had someone in here exploded them? But either they were very good at pretending, or they all truly had nothing to do with it, but everyone in the room looked bewildered.

”Pleasure to meet you all” Akari replied with a small smile to them after they had introduced themselves. She appreciated that Nick, Henry and Rose had introduced themselves voluntarily and that Cash kindly had reminded her of their name so she didn’t have to ask. Then there was talk of the professor maybe being a seer? That was a possibility but wouldn’t that be common knowledge if he was? Unless he was trying to keep it a secret? But surely he’d have done a better at hiding it if 7 students could figure it out that easily... something still didn’t add up.

Akari stood still in her spot with wide eyes and an extremely surprised facial expression as the lights went out. After the lights turned back on, she noticed that she was standing alone, and almost considered moving closer towards the other students but then quickly dismissed that thought, since ‘what Gryffindor is sacred of a little darkness?’
A couple seconds of the lights being back on something strange happened. BAM. Just like that, the cauldrons exploded. Akari accidentally inhaled the smoke from the explosion, causing her to start hacking for a few moments.
Once she was a little more composed she muttered mainly to herself but didn’t really care if anyone heard her or not in a tone that sounded more annoyed than she had intended
”What the bloody hell was that?”
Then she glanced around the room suspiciously but obviously didn’t suspect that this was one of the students doing at all.
