I miss you so much! Isn't Hufflepuff the one with lots of kind people? Also you spelled Griffindor wrong. That's the one I want to be in. The one with all the cool and brave people! You said that phones and stuff don't work at Hogwarts right? Wish they did, then I can spam you with lots of messages! Owling is mail, right? Wait so you're mailing a boy?? Are you sure he's "just a friend"?

Mum and Dad are fine. Mum said that she's very proud of you for getting into Hogwarts. Dad said to tell you to "work hard" and "don't be afraid to reach out". Miluku's just fine, you know that Mum and Dad and I can take care of him just fine, right? You haven't missed much... oh wait, actually, there's news! So you know Ms. Burke? Well she's married now, and we have to call her Mrs. Beck! But she said that we can still call her Ms. Burke.

Wow, Hogwarts sounds AMAZING! "Almost" better to see things in person? Well OBVIOUSLY it's better to see things in person than read about them in a dusty book! (No offense, books are great and all.) You better get that camera quick! Or wait - try drawing them for me, that's probably the third best thing. Now I am SO looking forward to Christmas break. Like, even more than usual!

Dear Aurora,

Well, kind of, Hufflepuff is known for their kindness and loyalty. I didn't spell the house wrong, it's spelled "Gryffindor". You won't be able to be sorted if you don't show magical abilities... you know that. Aurora, we don't even have phones, and you won't get one until you're older. Probably because you're still pretty irresponsible, no matter what you say. Yes, owling is essentially mailing, just with owls. We're definitely just friends. Besides, why can't I mail a boy? It's not like there's a rule of the universe stating I can't converse with boys.

Tell Mom and Dad I'll mail - owl - them too! I know that Miluku will be fine with you, Mom, and Dad, but still... Make sure he's not eating too much, okay? Ms. Burke got married? Tell her I said congratulations, I'm so happy for her! I hope you haven't been slacking in your schoolwork without me there to keep you in shape.

Hogwarts is so beautiful, it's like a fantasy. Maybe for you it's better to see things in person, but I prefer the comforts of a "dusty book", as you put it. I'll try to draw it for you, but Hogwarts is huge. I'm not sure if I can draw the entire thing... "Third best thing"?

Dear Callista,

Gryffindor? Well... okay, I guess that's a pretty cool spelling. Just like the people.

I know, nējan. But, something weird happened today... I lost my pen this afternoon, and I needed it for school tomorrow, so I panicked. I searched everywhere, but I couldn't find it... and then when I came back to my bedroom, it was just sitting on my desk! I swear I searched there a milleon million times! Dad says that I just missed it, but that's impossible because it was smack dab in the middle of my desk! Mum didn't really say anything... she just said that it's good that I found it. I don't know what to think of it, Callista!

Milky will be just fine. I passed along your messages. Ms. Burke Mrs. Beck was very happy when she heard. Your drawing will be the third best thing because the best thing would be a picture from one of those magic cameras you were talking about. The second best thing would be a picture from a normal camera. Don't worry, you don't have to draw the entire castle... just the best parts, like, I don't know, the entry place? Oh and the outside too!
