Background
Kira was born on October 14th, in a small town on the southern coast of England, named Kimmeridge. Her parents are Andreas Rosenberg and Sabine Meyer, her father is from a family of pureblood German Witches and Wizards, while her mother is a muggle. The two met in Germany and they moved to London after getting married, and then to Kimmeridge to start a family.
Kira is very close with her parents, they have always nurtured her strong imagination and urge to explore and learn new things. Her father would always tell her fantastical tales about the wizarding world and all the places he’s traveled to, such as what his time at Durmstrang was like, or his experience growing up in a family of wizards. Her mother, on the other hand, introduced Kira to the muggle movies, shows, books, and stories that she grew up with. Her mother would tell her fairy tales before she went to bed and even came up with stories of her own to tell Kira and her siblings.
Kira also cherished the summers she spent with her extended family in Germany. With her mother’s side of the family, she could talk about her normal life, such as school or TV shows. They understood what it was like to live in the muggle world.
Her father’s side of the family, however, was full of witches and wizards who didn’t much understand the muggle world, they did however give Kira a better understanding of the wizarding world. Her uncle is a hippogriff breeder, her aunt is a dragon keeper, and her grandmother was a magizoologist. Jobs involving magical creatures are common in her father's family. She is close to her father's family, but she is especially close to her two cousins Lea and Henri, who are the same age as her and will be attending Durmstrang. One of her favorite memories was when the three of them were hiking in the forest near their grandparent's house and they came across bowtruckles. It was one thing to hear about different creatures from family members, but it was another thing entirely for them to come across a magical creature on their own in the wild. This only solidified the fact that Kira wanted to work with magical creatures once she graduated.
As she got older Kira was no longer satisfied with hearing other peoples stories and adventures, she wanted to create her own. She couldn’t wait until she got her letter from Hogwarts, and seeing her older cousins begin to attend Durmstrang only made her more impatient. Until then, she settled for exploring the woods and trails surrounding the town with her closest friends, waiting for her chance to get out of the small town.
