Eri smiled at James again, and James smiled back. It was nice to have met someone else who was like him, in terms of magic and the wizarding world James now found himself in.
"I hope you enjoy Hogwarts. It sounds very amazing in my opinion." she adds.
"Yeah..." James sighed, "I think I will... I hope I will."
"What class are you most excited for? I am excited for transfiguration." Eri inquires.
James thought about it for a moment. He really didn't know what all the classes were, and even if he did, he doubted he would know enough about them to really grasp what they were about, and decide which one he liked the most.
So instead, James decided to ask for clarification.
"Transfiguration?" he asked, "What's that?"
As he waited for an answer, the cold seemed to press harder in on him. He wasn't wearing a coat or long sleeves like Eri, so he was getting colder by the minute. He started to shiver lightly, rubbing his hands up and down his arms to try and warm them up.
Another thing was, that James had this really odd and nagging feeling that something was moving close by. Unfortunately, he ignored it.

She looks at him. "Transfiguration is the changing of something's structure and turning It into something else." She looks at him curiously. "Are you cold? We can meet back here another time tomorrow?" She asks him wondering if she should lend him her coat. She felt like something was near them but she ignored it. It was probably another animal that always roams the park. She smiles at him and wipes her short hair from her face. It was getting cold out and maybe he was not used to the cold.

She started thinking about Hogwarts, and all of the classes there would be to take. It would be very fun. She couldn't wait to get to Hogwarts. She really hoped he liked it there. It sounded so magical and amazing. She heard everything there was stunning. She just could not wait. She wanted nothing more than to get on the train right that second and go to Hogwarts but she couldn't it wasn't time yet. She smiled thinking about everything Hogwarts has to offer. The magic, the classes, the people, opportunities to make friends, everything seemed so wonderful. So she sat and waited for his answer if he was cold.

James nodded admittedly.
"Yeah, I'm getting pretty cold, but it's no big deal! We can stay out here some more! Or, if you wanted to go do something, that sounds like fun!"
What was he doing!? James was cold, but he also didn't really want to just go back to the hotel. He had no idea why he was being so... ugh, he didn't know what he was being. Weird? No, he was always weird. And proud of it!
"Well, this is actually my last night here in London before I go back to California for the rest of the summer while I wait for school to start, so us meeting back here tomorrow wouldn't really be an option." James explained further.
It was true. James and his parents would no longer have a need to be in London anymore after finishing in Diagon Alley. They would just be going back home until it was time to go to Hogwarts, which was about half a month from now.
“So, maybe… do you know anywhere warmer that we could talk?” James asked hopefully. It was getting colder still, and that feeling he had that someone or something was watching and getting closer was increasing as well.

"Well, we can go hang out at a restaurant." She looks at him and smiles. "Knox" The light on her wand disappears. She hopes he is not that cold. The walk to the restaurant isn't that far. Smiling she looks around at the dark sky. She feels like there is something following them. She shook off the feeling and continued looking at the sky. She could see the stars. They looked so sparkly that night. She had never seen so many stars at this spot before. She wiped a strand of hair from her face and looked down at the ground.

She smiled and looked at him. He seemed like a nice person. She didn't want to have to wait until she got back to Hogwarts to see him again, but she would have to. Maybe she might be able to see him some other time before then. So looked down again at the ground waiting for his answer. She wondered where he wanted to go to talk. Did he want to just go home or go to a restaurant? Maybe they could go to a store or somewhere where they can just hang out together. She smiled and looked around.

"Well, we can go hang out at a restaurant." Eri suggests.
The last thing James sees before Eri deactivates the light of her wand is her looking at him and smiling.
"Knox." she whispers, and the light disappears, making the whole area dark again; that is, except for the dim London street lights.
James considers her offer to hang out at a restaurant.
After a few moments, James nods, before realizing she might not be able to see him anymore because of the sudden absence of light and the fact that their eyes must still be taking some time to adjust to the new lack of brightness around them.
"Yes." he finally says, "Yeah, I would like that."
James thought he saw the shadow of Eri's head look up, and so he did to. What he saw above him was nothing short of beautiful. The stars were scattered over the dark London night sky, twinkling in the canvas of black that displayed the moon among them.
James looked back at Eri.
"What did you have in mind?" he asked, "What restaurant were you thinking of?"
James mentally crossed his fingers that it wasn't anything like McDonald's or KFC or Taco Bell.

"A local fish and chips resturaunt. I heard this one has really good fish and even better shepherds pie!" She smiled then thought she might say something else since he was from the united states. "I think you call it chicken pot pie?" She smiles looking at the stars some more.

She saw a small shadow move but stop. She couldn't tell what it was so she just stopped looking for it.

Her green eyes sparkled in the moonlight and casted a white glow onto her fare skin. It was a beautiful sight to see the stars. The skies haven't been that clear in a while.

She looked back at james. "So shall we?" She wondered if he liked seafood. Fish was one of her favorite things to eat. She also loved the shepherds pie. So she smiled again.

The moon glowed in the dark sky illuminating the bench with a hazy light. She could barely see his face but her eyes were getting accustumed to the darkness they were in. She wondered if he wanted to go eat there. She had some money to pay with. Her aunt always gave her money. She looked at the ground and scuffed her feet in the dirt.

"A local fish and chips restaurant. I heard this one has really good fish and even better shepherds pie!" Eri answered. "I think you call it chicken pot pie?"
James laughed. "Well, that is the more commonly used name for it, but I recognize the name "shepherds pie" just the same! We're not that much different." he said, amused. In America, most people knew both names for that dish. Chicken Pot Pie and Shepherds Pie were about the same thing, and both names were used, so James knew exactly what Eri was talking about. James was feeling cold, ad those kinds of dishes were warm, so why not?
"So shall we?" Eri asked.
James smiled and nodded.
"Yes! We shall." he answered. He stood up from the bench and held out his hand for Eri to help her up so they could start walking.
"Who's paying?" James asked jokingly. "I don't have any money, so it's gotta be you."
James laughed.
"Wow, what a gentleman I am!" he added, laughing some more.
Even with this playful banter he was starting, he couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched and/or followed. Again, he brushed it off as nothing and ignored it.

Eri took James hand as he helped her up from the bench. Then she started walking towards the restaurant."Don't worry I will pay. I was going to pay anyways so don't sweat it. By the way what type of restaurants do you have in California? I mean are there any really good ones that are local or at they all really big chain restaurants?" She asked very curiously because he seemed to be a bit shocked and relieved at the choice of restaurant she chose to go eat at. Maybe he thought she was going to take him to a chain restaurant, but she was more fond of local restaurants. This one was her favorite by far in the entire world, well in the entire London.

She walked a bit quickly since it was cold, and dark. She didn't want to keep James freezing so she hurried her walking a bit more. Eri always was rushing a bit to get things done. She would slow down if he wanted her to but he looked cold so she wanted to get there as fast as possible.

The restaurant appeared in the distance as they neared it. She smiled and walked towards it.

James was a little relieved, but also a little embarrassed. He didn’t have any money with him, and he was in a foreign country, so he shouldn’t be expected to pay for meals, but still, wasn’t it supposed to be gentlemanly to pay for the food or meal? Or did that just apply to dates? Was this a DATE!?!?
No, no. James was just being ridiculous and over thinking this whole thing.
“By the way, what type of restaurants do you have in California?” Eri suddenly asked, “I mean, are there any really good ones that are local or are they all at really big chain restaurants?”
James thought for a minute, and then replied as best as he could.
“Well, a lot of the common restaurants in California are just chain restaurants, but there is this one Chinese place that’s really good. I think it’s called the Golden Dragon or something… I forgot.”
“Anyway, yeah. Most of the restaurants are just chain fast-food places. Like, within walking distance from my house, there’s Taco Bell, Jack In The Box, KFC, A&W, and another one that I forgot…” James finished.
James didn’t know this for sure, but it looked like it to him that the two of them were getting to wherever they were going.

"Well here we are." She smiled and pointed at the building that was about twenty feet away from them. "Those restaurants sound very interesting. Golden dragon? I think I have heard of it before. I have only visited the states once." She walked a bit slower to wards the approaching restaurant. The aroma of food wafted through the air as they neared the small white building.

Eri smiled walking a bit faster since the night was getting colder. Hopefully his parents weren't worried about him. Her Aunt let her roam the streets right next to their house alone since she thought Eri responsible enough.

"Don't worry I want to pay this is just my way of welcoming you to London. So the food is on me. Don't hesitate to order what you want." She didn't want him to feel bad that he couldn't pay for any food at this restaurant.

She walked up the two steps of the restaurant and waited for him to catch up. This was one of her places in London and she hoped he enjoyed the food as much as she did. Homemade food was always the best and this place sold some of the best home made food.
