Amara's Silver Floof
It was a blue-bird day, not a single cloud in sky. Amara was doing all of her back to school shopping; robes (check), books (check), new quills (check) and now she is standing outside of the door to the last shop, The Magical Menagerie. Peering through the windows, Amara sees owls in their cages, Pygmy Puffs playing with each other and sleepy kittens napping; but nothing catches her eye.
Amara sighs as she steps into the store, her coin purse jingling in her pocket. Tucking a loose lock of hair behind her ear, the soon the be second-year starts to wander the store, looking for the perfect animal. Amara spent about a half-hour wandering the store, playing with different animals with no avail, when the female shopkeeper walked over, "Hello dear, you seem to be struggling. We have a Silver Siberian kitten in the back, exactly 6 weeks old, but I think you may like him. Would you like to see him?"
Amara smiles kindly at the owner, "I would love that, thank you."
The blonde could barely get the words out before she was ushered into the back room. Stacks of boxes, both empty and full, cluttered one of the sides of the room. In the middle of the space, atop a small, black, velvet pillow was a Lil' silver ball of fur. Just waking up from a cat nap, the grey-eyed kitten walked lazily up to Amara and walked slowly in a circle around the student as she squatted down to pet the cat.
"Hello there darling," Amara greets the ball of floof as he rubs up against her leg. Amara scratches under the silver kitten's chin as she looks back up at shopkeeper, "I think I want to get him," she says defiantly. Amara stands, dusts off her clothes, and picks up her soon-to-be kitten.
As Amara walks back into the main room, she starts to consider a name for the grey-eyed kitten. Something sweet, short, and simple. The Dragamior heir considers many names for her new pet before deciding on Kaz. Meaning peaceful, the Japanese name is both sweet and short.
Amara, now with food, toys, and a bed in hand walked up to the register to make her final purchase. There, the second shop owner (the man) rung her up and announced a total of 15 galleons. Amara smiled kindly and thanked both shop owners profusely as she handed over the coins and walked out of the store
