Anatole had stumbled up the stairs once more. He was still set on finding the coolest room in the school from that challenge...and with this door, here, he thought he just might win. With a smirk, Anatole placed his hands on the doorknob, pressing it down and running in.

Another bad idea. Almost immediately, he seemed to be greeted by either people or equipment...maybe even he had just run into a class he didn't know about.

However, the room was amazing. With his mouth gaped open wide, Anatole looked at the glass, the sun shining right through into the large area. The reflection on this challenging equipment just made him want to touch it more.

In fact, that's what he did. Spotting a telescope, Anatole ran over. "Whoa..." he muttered, twisting knobs and trying to peer through it. Foolishly, he almost aimed it at the sun. Yes, he was very good at screwing up. "Almost..." He dragged the word out as the telescope came into focus on a fluffy cloud.

Right as it came into focus, he heard footsteps clonk up the stairs. Worried it might be a Professor or a Prefect of some sort, Anatole hid underneath a table, hoping the person wouldn't find them.

Slowly and quietly, he peered out from behind the table. Surprisingly, it was a girl. One he had never seen before. A Slytherin.

Anita grumbled as she made her way up the long winding stairs of the astronomy tower. In a rush to get to dinner, she had left all her equipment upstairs, again.

She'd already done that around five times and they hadn't even been in school for a long time, the professor had warned her this time. She'd get detention if she didn't take care of her stuff, she'd always leave it over night and get it the next morning. But the professor said it disrupted his first class. How could a telescope and a map disturb a class? Not like it would get up and start dancing a jig.

"Hey..." She raised a thick brow seeing as the tower door was wide open, the window shutters as well, letting soft light filter in. Walking towards her telescope she noticed all the knobs where twisted incorrectly. Turning around to scan the room, she slipped out her wand from her inside pocket, clutching it tightly. "Who's there? You aren't supposed to be in here you know!" A scowl was set on her face. Taking a step forwards, Anita tried thinking. "If you don't come out, and I find you, I'll hex you from here to tomorrow. So come out now and I won't hurt you" That was an utter lie, she didn't even know any hexes. Only a few charms and jinx's.

Anatole quivered as he shot his head underneath the table. The sound of the new voice made him frightened a little. It was oddly...demanding. He hadn't heard that before.

Here he was, a naiive perspective thinking everything would be fine and happy. Everyone would be nice and accept him (besides Clary in that moment, maybe). He peeked out from behind a tablecloth, noticing the green lining on her robe. Slytherin, he noted. Of course, Anatole knew nothing about them.

Well, he had red lining on his robe for a reason. Carefully, he crawled out from behind the tablecloth, rising to his feet. At first a little shaky, he commented in a jokingly high tone, "Right here! It's me!"

He expected her head to whip toward him and spit out another mean comment. Anatole tried to do his best to mask the obvious fear. He gulped at her Hex comment.

"Well...just kidding...I was just here to explore...find a good, cool, interesting spot...sorry...I'm new." Damn it, he apologized again. Stupid Anatole.
"I'm not here to disturb you, Miss. In fact, I didn't even know people actually used this place this much..."

He rotated around the room, inching towards the door. It was slammed shut. "I can always leave, if you want...?"

Turning around, she didn't want to admit to herself that the boy popping out of nowhere made her jump a bit in surprise. Noticing the red lining on his robes she raised a brow, his nervousness was plastered clearly on his face. With a sly grin, she got an idea.
"Of course you're new, everyone here is...oh, I see." Her grin grew even more. "You're a muggle-born aren't you? Trying to explore this big old castle, you're curiosity just couldn't be kept in." Pulling her wand out into the open she shut the door with a charm, she didn't actually know any that closed doors so she choose the closest one, learning it during hot summer days.
"Aqua Eructo." Puffing up her chest the stream of water slammed against the door closing it shut with a loud thump. It left a large puddle of water on the floor but she'd fix that later.
"Now tell me, and you aren't leaving until you do." Furrowing her brows, she tried giving him a dark look like the ones her father sometimes gave her.
"What part of the castle did you find fascinating the most!" Her dark demeanor dropped in an instance, wanting to give the shorter Gryffindor a bit of a spook. It was always good to test their bravery. If not how could they grow into it. Sneaking her wand away she put her hands on her hips and waited for the boy to speak up.

Anatole was originally surprised by her intelligence. Yes, he had no idea what Slytherin stood for, and eventually he would find out one day. Just by the look he gave her, Anatole was instantly intimidated.

Wait. Pause. Wasn't that what she wanted?

Back to the tale. "Yes, you're correct," he began, trying to compose his words in the face of fear, "I am Muggle-born." He shut his eyes tight for a moment, stating, "Yes, I was also exploring." Anatole's eyes open and he shot back a few words. "Nothing wrong with that, for say?"

Menacingly, the girl whipped out an object as the door slammed even harder. A wave of water rushed over the door, preventing his only exit from the tower. Aqua Eructo. He might need that later.

Yes, there was a problem, he was stuck here. But however...if the sun was at just the right angle, maybe the water could evaporate somehow, and he could be free. Wait, did magical water hold the same properties?

Smiling wide, the girl asked him another question. Like her entrance, and her spell, and almost everything about her, it made Anatole jump. He almost knocked over the table he hid behind. "Well...uh..." His mind drew a blank. Damn it.

Trash it all, he just lied. "I find the plants in the Herbology Greenhouses interesting, since I've never seen them before." He took a breath. Maybe he could whip something out of this girl too. "You?"

She looked at him almost suspiciously, a brow raised. Dark eyes on him. But she shrugged, hopping onto the table behind her, tucking her hands under her chin she thought for a moment on what her favorite part of the castle was. That would be difficult though. Hogwarts was so big and grand.

When she was young her mother had showed her pictures of her youth. This included the castle and it's large grounds. Perhaps it was the beautiful shimmering murky lake against the backdrop of looming scootish mountains and the morning sun. Or was it the skin crawling unknowing cool dungeons that intrigued her the most. Anita shrugged once more. She loved Hogwarts, most of her family attending the school for many centuries.

"I don't know, Hogwarts in it's whole Is beautiful. Even for those who grew up in wizarding family, when you come here it's just so amazing." Her mouth widened into a genuine smile, showcasing her embarrassing tooth gap. "But the plants are fine, just be careful, I heard a fourth year yesterday got his finger bitten off!" She teased. Not noticing when her wand slipped from her robes. Rolling underneath a desk. She was to busy talking to the Gryffindor.

"Yeah, sounds...fun, indeed." He sighed. Part of him wishes he was born into a family of wizards. He could have instantly been sucked into this fantastical universe he might have heard of only from books earlier. That must have been one of the reasons she could cast a spell as a first year, especially one like that.

His eyes just drifted away from the girl and onto the door, still blocked. Not much of the water had evaporated, if any of it had evaporated at all.

Wait, what if he died here? What if she trapped him here for an especially long time? How would he escape, since he knew no spells? Maybe he could try to scale the wall, breaking the glass and screaming for help because if he jumped, he might as well be dead. Well, she would have cast herself a spell and ended on the roof with him. That wasn't a good idea, now that he thought about it.

At her comment about the fourth year, he raised an eyebrow. He attempted to keep it casual, despite still being intimidated. "Oh, seriously? That sounds...uh...interesting. I won't be touching that anytime soon."

He took another breath, hoping this conversation wouldn't have to come to him climbing onto the roof.

Anita watched his micro-expressions. Perhaps a flittering of terror, but maybe he was just hungry and didn't want to miss it. It was getting close to lunch

"Hey do you know any spells, yeah you're a mud-I mean a muggle-born. But you at least have had to have tried out a few spells?" She nodded in thought, who wouldn't be trying to cast different spells. When she was younger herself she always tried casting spells, yes they rarely ever worked but it was quite fun trying them out and seeing the expressions of horror as her mother found another broken vase. Along with a ministry warning.

"My mom is a spells mistress, works for the ministry creating them and testing them out. I can't do any spells at home since it's not allowed but I watch her cast them all the time and she makes me 'read' about them!" She shuddered at the thought of studying.

"But I learned a few here, look let me show you another."

She reached for her wand. In an instant her face fell into a look of utter dread as she began to pat down her robes. Jumping off the table splashing into the puddles of water, she twisted around looking for it.
"my-my, my WAND!" Anita shrieked dropping onto the floor to look for it. No longer paying attention to the boy.

He sat down on a table relatively far from her, still remaining casual. If only she hadn't trapped him in here, she might have been a good girl to become friends with. However, a Wizard-Born might have not fit right in. She might cast another spell on him, this time maybe even more dangerous. He couldn't trust her...yet.

Speaking of spells, she asked him whether he knew any of them. Well, how was he supposed to know? He hadn't even found the Duelling Club yet. If he tried to say a word, it might just blow up the whole building. He had never said words for the occurrences to happen back in Tenbury. So, Anatole answered honestly. "Never tried. I know I wouldn't screw up too bad, but I would probably blow something up accidentally." He looked at her right in the eyes, attempting to keep playing friendly. "You have it in your hands, born from wizards, I suppose." He chuckled nervously, sighing. Can you let me out yet...? All he could think about.

His eyes grew wide once he noticed her wand was gone. Instantly, he got down on his knees, searching around for anything relatively similar to a wand. Quite possibly, he could find it, and maybe cast himself out of this mess by saying some gibberish. Or the door could explode or something.

Or even, he could...

Boy, that sounded quite bold indeed.

Panic was setting deeper into the pits of her stomach. She felt bile rising up but she kept it in.
"You have to help me! I promise I won't tease you anymore, well, as much as I can." Her mind racing she began to think almost irrationally
"what if it went out an open window, or fell down the stairs! No, no that's stupid. WHAT IF THE CASTLE JUST SUCKED IT RIGHT IN!" there where small tears forming in her eyes. Dropping her Slytherin facade. Anita began to openly weep. Her small shoulders trembling as she drew in her legs to her chest. Her dark hair a curtain against her face.

Not daring to look at the other boy, embarrassment and panic ruled her emotions at the moment.

What if she never found her wand? Could she be kicked out of Hogwarts. Either way the Gryffindor boy would probably leave right away and go gossip to his friends about the crybaby slytherin, they'd all make fun of her. Point and jeer. Now she could even here her father's word, his face and utter disappointment to be bested and made fun of by a stupid muggle-born. She shook her head at the thought, they weren't stupid.

"You can leave, I don't care. There's a hatch in the corner over there that leads down into the hallway. The water charm would take another hour to wear off." She sniffled and pointed towards the hatch.
