! Snowball Fight ! Event

Darren hoped that the young Slytherin didn't feel like he was being picked on - that just wouldn't do, especially coming from a member of staff. He would have to apologize later and explain that he had gone after him because he didn't seem to have been hit by any snowballs before. He was a Hufflepuff alumni afterall. Ducking out from behind his hiding spot that wasn't exactly hiding him as he was a quite tall man, he could see that his daughter was in on the fun now. Thank Merlin.

Surely, her time at home with her mother was full of strict rules and boundaries that shouldn't be crossed. Darren only wanted what was best for her but more importantly, he wanted her to be able to run around and play as kids should, not have to go through lessons on manners as he had to do growing up. Being a pureblood was a blessing and a curse depending on what family you ended up in. He was so focused on his daughter and on building a snowball that he hoped would at least graze her that he didn't realize what the Slytherin was plotting. Sure, he had heard some noise coming from the direction but it was quite a loud snowball fight in the first place. Rearing back, he tossed it like he remembered tossing baseballs with his muggle friends of his youth.

ACTION: Throw snowball at Sabrina Hurst (1,3,5,6)

Marissa stepped out into the grounds with the snow battle happening in front of her. Right as Marissa stepped outside behind a snowball flew past her face, she stopped instantly and looked around from where she was. Darren had thrown it towards Sabrina, and it would have probably hurt to be fair, hitting her from behind from that close.

Mari muttered something quickly to herself. As she rushed out to pelt others, she ran over to Claryssa and pulled her along, careful not to be so forceful. The snow beneath her boots crunched, loudly protesting her quick movements. She grinned and formed a snowball, preparing the throw it at someone. She giggled, spotting several other people she had seen around the caslte. But who to choose? That was the hardest part.

Marissa ran out into the snow, semi leaving Claryssa behind as she ducked behind a snow drift. She needed to build some sort of protection, there was nowhere to hide along the grounds, it was all open area. She gestured to Claryssa to join her while making another snowball in preparation for throwing it at the only other person she could possibly know, James Lachoneus.

ACTION: Throw Snowball at James Lachoneus (1, 2, 3, 6)

Ava jumped up. Twice in a row! She was pretty confident about her next throw. She scanned the area once again to find her next victims.
'A lot of students. Alright, let's do some math...' she smiled and counted everyone. It was pretty hard since everyone was moving, throwing snowballs or evading them. Some students were even building snow forts to protect themselves and their... groups, the girl believed? Teams?

Whatever you would want to call them, but since it was some kind of a war, Ava guessed... teams? Maybe they had armies or something like that? That sounds stupid. Ava rolled her eyes and continued counting.

5 Gryffindors, 4 Ravenclaws (which includes the prefect that hit her in the arm earlier), 5 Hufflepuff and so far only 3 Slytherins, including Ava. 'So only 2 Slytherins. Where are the professors?' the girl scanned the area again. The professors were nowhere to be seen. She sighed. She really wanted to hit one of them, even though she actually just did. Professor Saiser Blevins, the teacher of astronomy. The girl stopped for a second. 'Wha... Oh no, I HIT A TEACHER! FOR MERLIN'S SAKE! I WILL GET POINTS TAKEN AWAY!' she looked up to the sky, looking for forgiveness.

'Whatever... It will be fine, it will be fine Ava' the girl calmed herself down. 'Just throw the snowball, Ava. Just throw it!' she smiled and looked around.

'Well, time to get revenge!' she said and thrown the snowball at the Ravenclaw prefect that hit her before.

Dakota had hid behind a mound of snow he had managed to put together, leaning against it and breathing heavily. Hopefully, he wouldn’t be found, after all he didn’t want to get bombarded with snowballs all at once. The only reason he joined was to get out of the castle that he was always cooped up in. Perhaps he’d make some cookies after for everyone after the snowball fight ended, after all what was better than some warm chocolate chip cookies after being out in the cold, icy snow? He then scooted a bit from the mound, scooping up a snowball in his gloved hands, scanning the terrain for someone to throw it at.

He knew that his good heart would prevent him from striking to hard, so he didn’t have to worry about accidentally giving someone a bruise. All he had to do was find his inner warrior in him...and strike! It couldn’t be so hard if everyone was doing it, it was just easy as 1 2 3.  His eyes then laid on a familiar person-what was their name? Mary Swan? Didn’t they meet a few days after the Sorting Ceremony with Evan and everyone else? Jeez, it almost pained him now throw the ball at her-but he knew it had to be done.  Perhaps  later on there would be teams, but for now he was his own right hand man. All he had to do was master the element of surprise. Rising from the mound, he smirked to himself lightly, before throwing the snowball as accurately  as he could towards the Hufflepuff girl, the force of how hard he threw it causing him to fall over the makeshift fort and right onto his face.

ACTION: Throw snowball at Mary Swan (1, 3, 4, 6)

Serena would have pumped her fist in the air as she hit Reid but instead she cringed slightly. She hadn't meant to hit him in the face - oof. She had received one of those right in her face earlier and it was not fun. It did, however, serve as complete and utter revenge for him hitting Dymphna and using a slingshot to throw a pebble in her own forehead. Let's be fair, a pebble is definitely worse than the snowball, "Oh shoot, you okay, Reid? My bad!! Sorry!!" She called out to him, pulling a face that definitely looked apologetic. Despite the abuse she got from him, they were friends after all. In fact, she loved him to bits like she would for her own brother. I guess it made matters worse that he had been hit by several other snowballs too - not just hers. However, her aim may have been the worst one!

From the corner of her eye, she noticed some people raise a snowball and quickly looked over to see where they were aiming. It seemed to be a boy, a Ravenclaw by the looks of it. She didn't recognise him but noticed several people eyeing him up suspiciously. A few even started to throw snowballs at him! Poor guy! She thought instantly, wondering why he was being ganged up on by the group. Noticing a Gryffindor boy raise his arm to throw it at the former boy's back, she decided on her next target. 

On that, she quickly scooped up a handful of snow in her gloves and started to pad them out into a neat snowball. With a smirk, Serena quickly aimed it right at the first year. Again, she had no idea who these people were. But she felt like trying to at least help the Ravenclaw that was being targeted by everyone out.

ACTION: Throw Snowball at Anatole Evans (2,3,5,6)

The victory dance was well deserved, but it came at a cost. This wasn't what he expected after his small win against Dymphna. "Ack!" The boy felt a ball hit him in the back, where did that come from?! He turned around to try and find the source, spotting another student who looked awfully suspicious. Reid lowered himself to grab some snow, only to be hit by another one on the chest. This was a tragedy, now who hit him? He fell back and groaned, looking up to see that Dymphna gotten her revenge on him pretty quickly. Well he did kind of deserve that.

But the nail in the coffin was the snowball that just hit the boy on the head, causing him to almost yelp as snow covered his vision. Reid sputtered as he frantically brushed the snow from his face and yelled, "Really?!" at the direction it came from. It took him a few seconds to see past the snow in his eyes and finally tell who it came from. Oh, it was his very own friend - Towers. "Serena!" he yelled, laughing slightly. 

"Sorry isn't going to cut it!" He began scooping snow into his hand as he staggered up, perhaps he was a little less Hufflepuff in this game. But it was no hard feelings, he quite liked his friend. But he wasn't going to take that snowball to the face just like that! "Take this!" Reid packed the snowball and stumbled towards her, he then threw the clump of snow towards the girl with all his might. 

ACTION: Throw a snowy curveball at Serena Towers.  (2,4,3,6)

She watched as Siege not only ignored her yelling, but her snowball failed, she frowned and then started laughing as a snowball hit his back and then his chest. Delilah created a new snowball, quite a bit bigger than the last two but not big enough that she couldn't throw it. She looked around, she wasn't going to throw it at Siege this time, she looked at the professors and decided to aim it at one of those, specifically Mellowrose. She grinned at what she was going to do. She compacted her ball more and added a bit more snow so the thing that happened last time hopefully won't happen.agaon this time around.

She picked up her large snowball with both of her hands, holding it over her head as she contemplated as to what was going to happen, she hoped he wouldn't give her a bad grade on her homework over this, he gave her an E on the last one so she hoped that this wouldn't affect his opinion on her, even though she wasn't exactly sure what his opinion was on him. They had never spoken 1 to 1 before. But she was excited to throw this snowball at him, so that's exactly what she did.

Action: Throw Snowball at Sawyer Mellowrose (3,4,1,2)

From the times that they had interacted, Dymphna didn't think that the Hufflepuff girl would have done it on purpose, not in the face anyway. "Oh shoot, you okay, Reid? My bad!! Sorry!!" Confirmation that Serena was a good person. She ran over to Reid, trying to shield him from any oncoming snowballs as he composed himself after being hit again. Brutal. It was still baffling to her that the professors had even joined in. There were other students that had already thrown their snowballs their way but did she dare? Would she lose house points? 

Trying to shake away her fear of losing points and being blamed, Dymphna took a good look around. She wasn't brave enough to go after the Ackerley or Matilda but maybe one of the others. The Groundskeeper was a likely target. Poor Adam seemed to be having a bit of a dilemma with a handful of students ganging up on him. What did he ever do to them? With a frown, she turned and caught sight of another familiar face. Professor Mellowrose? Yes, perhaps. The professor seemed very dreary to her. He wasn't monotone but there was something about him, a tiredness that only made her yawn in his class. Here goes nothing, she thought, letting the snowball fly.

ACTION: Throw snowball at Sawyer Mellowrose (3,4,5,6)

 Surely, Matilda hadn't been confident in her throwing skills to begin with. There were reasons she did not play Quidditch, and her accuracy was one of them. So when her snowball had actually went in Sawyer's direction, she got a jump of hope. Only for him to dodge it. She huffed, shrugging it off. She had plenty of chances to attack the sleepy professor in this event. She bent down to grab more snow, compacting it together into yet another snowball as she looked up at Ackerley. "You missed," She teased him playfully.

 She was glad that she had friends for this time in her career. There was not a stress on her shoulders, despite her tarot readings - and all the rest of her scrying, really - said otherwise. She turned back to the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, and launched the snowball in his direction once more. If she weren't to hit him the first time, she might as well try again until she did. She wouldn't get hit in the back with a snowball for nothing. Her back would probably become soaked due to snow melting, but it wasn't anything a good, warm fire wouldn't help.

 Maybe she would even bring a comic along, too. Invite a few other professors as well. Or, well, the ones participating at least. Even though she wasn't the most social butterfly recently, there was no better time to start being so. 

𝓐𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷: Try to throw another snowball Mellowrose's way. (3,1,5,6)

FAIL: Adam Harringtom internally apologised to Eris but didn't need to. His snowball hit the ground before it reached her! Distracted, he didn't realise that his fellow students had launched an attack on him. The poor guy got hit by snowballs from Michelle Lynch, Anatole Evans and Eris Elcan. Not a great day for Adam... He did, however, avoid getting hit by James and Mary! 

SUCCESS: Michelle Lynch started an attack on Adam, which was followed by other people. She successful hit him!

FAIL: Sabrina Hurst needs a lesson or two from her dad it seems... She failed to hit her former target's boyfriend too this time... Her dad, however, totally hit her with his fine aim! Yikes! That feeling when your dad is better than you... Oof! She also got hit by Bloom Silverton, seeking out her revenge for the earlier attempt. Not a good day for Sabrina!

SUCCESS: Anatole Evans had tactics that earned him a clean hit on Adam Harringtom! Oof, Adam's unexpected cavalry came quickly though! Rushing to Adam's defence, Serena's snowball ended up connecting with Anatole's face! Sorry!!

SUCCESS: Evelyn Rosewater thought why not before firing a snowball at Delilah Stewart... Well why not indeed? She successfully hit her on the back.

SUCCESS: Eris Elcan has super great aim - or luck - and successfully whacked Adam with her finely crafted snowball. The attempts made at her by him and Peach Thorne both missed her too! How is she so lucky?! 

SUCCESS: Siege Aramatus Bal threw his rage-induced-bludger-snowball straight into Reyna's side. Oof. That sounds painful.

FAIL: Claryssa North failed to make a proper snowball, feeling too overwhelmed by everyone around. It ended up crumbling mid-air, sorry!

FAIL: James Lachoneus tried to attack Adam like several others did. Sadly, he miscalculated his aim and ended up hitting a tree - that's not right! Guess who didn't miscalculate though? Lucette! She ended up hitting James in the chest with her attack. He also then got hit by Marissa North.

FAIL: Reyna Calthorn might have been saved from Siege's rage-induced-bludger-snowball but she was so impressed by his craftsmanship that she couldn't dodge it in time. Trying to dodge it, she got hit in the side by it. Oof, sounds painful - but not hospital wing worthy! Her throw at Lucette pretty much just disappeared into the air in a cloud of white smoke as she made it too quickly!

SUCCESS: Lucette Brielle put her entire weight and strength into her throw, earning her a proud hit on James, whacking him right in the chest.

SUCCESS: Bloom Silverton returned Sabrina's attempt with an even better one of her own this round. With luck on her side today, she threw a powerful snowball and hit Sabrina Hurst directly! Let's not get too happy though, she also got hit by a snowball thrown by Ava Silver.

FAIL: Peach Thorne was unlucky today - or perhaps her target was too lucky? Either way, Peach's snowball went crashing into the ground before it got close to Eris.

FAIL: Mary Swan should not have tried to join the ganging up on poor Adam! She put all of her strength into her snow but not her aim... meaning she ended up throwing it over his head and missing him entirely! Sadly, she then got hit in the arm by Dakota Parker's snowball.

SUCCESS: Dmitri Jones had the Keeper of the Keys in his sights and watched him like a snake about to eat it's prey. The focus paid off as he ended up getting his sweet revenge by hitting Darren with his mighty swing.

SUCCESS: Darren Hurst might need to be reported for hurting children, y'all. This time, he targeted his own daughter! His snowball game is on point today - he ended up hitting her directly. He needs to teach her a thing or two about how to throw snowballs! Whilst celebrating his glorious moment though, Dmitri got his revenge and ended up hitting the Groundskeeper!

SUCCESS: Marissa North aimed at the only person she could possibly know! Luckily, she managed to successfully hit James so it was worth it.

SUCCESS: Ava Silver was on a roll with hitting figures of authority. She successful hit the Ravenclaw Prefect, Bloom too!

SUCCESS: Dakota Parker wasn't sure of Mary's name but he was very sure of his fine aim! His snowball hit Mary Swan in the arm.

SUCCESS: Serena Towers apparently didn’t mind going after a complete stranger for revenge on the Ravenclaw who was being ganged up on. What a true Hufflepuff! The snowball connected with his face. Wow, Serena, again?!

FAIL: Reid Kovacs’ revenge wasn’t so sweet when the snowball flew right past her head and exploded against a tree.

SUCCESS: Delilah Stewart must have started the trend to throw snowballs at a specific professor as hers landed directly to his shin.

SUCCESS: Dymphna Teague might as well take away those house points herself because her snowball made an impact against the professors lower back.

SUCCESS: Matilda Barrows snowball hit her colleague in the chest with a loud thud. Second time’s the charm?
