Clary watched with a dumbfounded expression as Lucas simply smirked, nodding his head in what was apparently goodbye before fleeing the scene. She stood there, a bit confused, a bit surprised, and a little bit disheartened that he'd left without explanation. She knew she was a clutz and probably annoying, but she hadn't meant to scare anyone away that easily. Frowning, she nearly winced as the door clicked shut with a resounding thump, leaving her standing alone in the ballroom with Evan still standing over near the entrance. Talk about good first impressions.

She sighed, shaking her head, and walked over to the recorder, pulling her wand out from her robes. Remembering what she'd learned in Charms class, Clary held her wand out in front of her, focused on the task at hand, flicked her wrist into a seven shape followed by a smaller, backwards seven, then pronounced carefully, "Reparo!" Upon her words, the broken disc floated back up onto the table, the shattered pieces magically mending themselves back together, until the entire music device was now safe and sound, free from the harm Clary's clumsiness had caused.

Once her rights had been wronged, she spun around the room once more, her excited gaze flickering to one of pensive thought as she analyzed the room. Yes, she could see how it could look a bit dark or empty at first glance. Perhaps it just took looking through the right set of eyes to find the magic behind the picture. Shrugging to herself, Clary skipped back over to the doorway, bending down to retrieve her satchel bag that she'd accidentally tripped on earlier, before realizing an iPod wasn't something she'd packed to bring to Hogwarts. Hooray. Now she was standing awkwardly in a giant ballroom, unsure of what to do, with a Gryffindor boy (aka Evan) still staring at her with a scowl. "...hi."

Evan was spaced out for a few moments, and when he snapped back into reality, he simply stared at the girl awkwardly. "Hey..." He said, awkwardly. It had caught him by surprise. He stared at how the disc was magically back to its original state, his eyes going from Claryssa to the disc one after another for a solid ten seconds. "Did you Reparo that?" He supposed she had. She seemed like a Ravenclaw, he was pretty sure she was one, but her clumsiness could of landed her a place in another house, but stereotyping is boring, so he stayed away from that wall. "What's up?" He asked, he was usually the one to fire up conversations, but Claryssa doing it saved him one job. One one day, but it worked either way.

He looked around at the huge ballroom, it looked amazing. It took him back to when he watched Cinderella that one time and she had to run away at midnight. The ball really had that effect. He could imagine someone running off at midnight, but well... there weren't any good exits for them to take. Apart from that huge doorway that he went through, it'd work just fine. "Cool how the entire place is empty." He continued the conversation with a random subject, "D'ya think they're planning for something, or...?"

She smirked, a bit surprised the once boisterous Gryffindor boy could now be so awkward and quiet. Noticing his gaze flitting across the room to the now repaired music disc, she nodded her head. "Yup!" she commented, popping the 'P'. "We learned about the spell last week in Charms class. Pretty nifty, huh?" Reparo was currently one of Clary's favorites. Considering how much of a wreck she was at times, it was nice to have a sort of escape route to fix up her problems, especially when she was somehow managing to topple everything over every five minutes of her day.

Upon the question of "What's up?" Clary didn't reply, not exactly sure what to say. Technically, her upwards-facing gaze informed her that the gorgeous ceiling of the ballroom was upwards, though she doubted he'd appreciate that answer to his question. Noticing his eyes grow captivated with the space, she couldn't help but smile, feeling the exact same way as she first wandered into the gorgeous room. With a giant, sweeping floor of room and elegant, hanging chandeliers, it was quite definitely a room fit for a ball, and she had to agree, the emptiness of the space did create a sort of elegance about it, but it also made it feel a bit, well, lonely. She shrugged at his next question, not really having an answer. "No idea. I haven't heard of any school dances or what-not this year, but my best bet is that's what it's usually stored for," the young Ravenclaw replied.

Evan listened to Clary, and when she finished speaking, he began to speak himself. "Charms? Yeah. I think I remember, actually." He looked up as if thinking, before returning to look at the girl. He simply nodded, it was quite the useful spell, and he wished he knew about it when he was living at home, too young to attend Hogwarts. He thought of several situations where he, himself, could use Reparo, with any random excuse. Deciding that he wasn't creative enough to think of any on the spot, and to stop him from getting distracted by the lights above, so he turned and once more looked back at the person he was talking to, he was awful at paying attention, it could last for five minutes, at most.

He looked around once more, "Yeah.. no news on a ball, I don't think. No clue why it's all set up though, maybe it's a secret project?" He shrugged his shoulders, "The room looks familiar too, no clue why though." He stared at the walls, for whatever reason, he felt like he recognized the room he was inside but it could of easily been just him. It was common for him to find similarities in different things, but that was just how some stuff worked, he guessed.

Claryssa shrugged, having no idea what the space was used for. In the past, she'd heard they used a ballroom, perhaps this very one, to host the Yule Ball during the "Tri-Wizard Tournament", in which students from other schools would attend Hogwarts for a portion of the year and compete in some sort of competition and attend a ball of some kind. Other than that, though, her mind drew up a blank on any possibilities. "Maybe they host balls or parties during holidays? Like Christmas or Halloween! A Halloween masquerade would be, well, magical. Also maybe a little bit creepy, but it can go either way." She shrugged, thinking of a few varied opportunities for the situation at hand. She hated seeing the gorgeous room go to waste.

"No idea why you think the room looks familiar, though. Do you come from a wizarding family?" Perhaps this kind of architecture was more common in the magical world than modern muggle world. The only time she'd ever see something like this in London would be in some crazy Cathedral or religious building bit practically a thousand years ago, though she did know that Scottish castles were often built with this form of elegance, though she didn't believe they were quite-so-often this well-maintained without the use of magic to aid in its preserving.

"I only ask 'cause maybe this is more of a common sight in the Wizarding World side of life. I know I definitely wouldn't usually be in a room like this, milling about the streets of London."
