Hi, I have a question
I'm currently in 7th grade and am a closeted trans male. I would like to tell my parents but they're transphobic/homophobic ;-;. I've wanted to start hormones for a long time now but I feel like it's to late? So ya i need to know how to tell my parents and stuff.

First of all, it's never too late to start hormone therapy. I know people who have started it at 16 and 17, and their transitions went amazingly; so, don't worry too much about the "when" of all of it.

Secondly... oh boy. Coming out as a sexuality other than straight is hard enough, but gender just seems so much more daunting. After all, it's such a huge part of the way other people see and perceive us, and changing that is quite the process. If there is someone you trust coming out to (who's not your parents), I'd definitely come out to them first. When you're ready (and ONLY when you're ready) to come out to your parents, take it slowly, explain everything as thoroughly as you can. I can only assume that you've been using gender expression to start to hint at it- if you haven't, I'd say do that first. Dressing more masculine, cutting your hair short, etc... all that can start to help your parents clue in on who you really are.

Personally, with this, I definitely recommend actually coming out to your doctor, first (unless they're also transphobic, in which case... don't). But, assuming they're not, your doctor will be able to help you through this the most effectively, especially since they know your body and medical information. If you don't trust your doctor, seek out another adult (say, a teacher or relative) you trust.

(I personally have never experienced gender dysphoria, so all of this may be wrong; just going off of my friends' experiences and what they told me. Also, 100% not a medical professional, therapist, or anything even close to that.)

OOC: Hi guysss so I have no idea wtf my gender is buuut I can tell you I'm aromantic omnisexual with a preference to decent people. Leaning towards trans or demiboy, but while I figure it out, I'll be using he/they pronouns. ANYWAY that's that. My boyo Jax is bi, he's a lil emo disaster, and I absolutely love him. Anyway, peace.

OOC: I'm bisexual so I decided it would be fun for my character to have the same sexuality. I don't have any friends in my day to day life who are LGBTQIAP so I'm excited to meet some new people here.

For everyone else: Unfortunately, I am not your beloved Jay. However, as they have been inactive for a while and the club was sort of dying, I decided (a bit on a whim) to take over the club. Hopefully, y'all can help me come up with some awesome events and club meetings that will keep the club alive!

Just a little bit about myself OOC: I've been a part of various GSAs through school for 4 years now, and I'm a board member for another club promoting volunteerism. Even with this somewhat limited experience, I'm pretty confident in my abilities to manage a club like this!

Now, down to business:

• Please check to make sure your pronouns are correctly listed in the club roster. I did the overhaul pretty late at night, so I might have completely messed up on a few of them!
• We should start to think about some sort of event for National Coming Out Day, which is October 11 (and a Sunday this year). If anyone has any ideas for what type of event we could do, I'm totally open to any and all ideas!
• I will post a new Club Meeting on September 3rd, as an IC welcome to all the new members/returning faces.
• On the very first post of the club, you'll see little "this user is ________" badges. I've started to really get into making little graphics over the summer, and I'm totally up for suggestions/critiques/design ideas! If you would like to use the badges wherever you may want to, simply hover your mouse over the image and right click, and then click "copy image address". Placing the link between img tags should have it pop up!
• Finally, I was wondering if y'all would like a Discord server for easier communication?

But yeah, that's all from me for now! Hopefully, we'll see a whole lot of new faces popping up

Hello hello! Yes, it is I, the beloved creator of Jay Victoria, who also goes by the nickname Jay, have returned! *bats eyelashes* *throws rainbow sparkles all over the place* I am so so happy to be back! I've missed roleplaying, the past few months have been extra stressful due to the fact that I couldnt roleplay... I tend to use roleplaying as a stress reducer, and the world of my character Jay Victoria is so interesting. I wished I had given a goodbye warning (i think i did somewhere?? idk), i couldnt exactly control me having to leave... I wished i had at least stayed on a bit longer so that I could of made the Pride Ball i had prepared for since december 2019 a reality this June and be an amazing club president . But sadly. I didnt. Anyhow, the most important thing is that im finally back and i've missed everyone!!! I am legit crying right now sdsjkhakfgdhjks <3<3<3<3
