Writing is shaky.

Dear Ebony,
I am writing this on the Hogwarts Express, and I promise you that I mean to write far more this year than I did last. And anyway, even if I forgot I have Bree here to remind me. We're in the same compartment - she tried to bundle me out but I insisted on staying - along with some other First Years who Bree is trying not to talk to. Antisocial introvert. I'll try get her to engage in conversation in a minute.
She's leaning over my shoulder and reading this as I'm writing. Get off, Bree.
Alright, she's gone now. Well, I guess I should finish here - there's not really anything else I can think of to say - but I'll finish writing this later tonight, after the Sorting Feast. Or maybe I'll just put it on a separate bit of parchment and stick them both in the same envelope, who knows.
Say hi to Willow for me, I'll write to her later as well.

Dear Ebony,
Sorting ceremony's over - Bree got Ravenclaw just as I'd thought - and I'm in my dorm right now. We have a tradition that you decorate your bed at the start of every term, and I've hung up that photo you have me in pride of place.
Can't really think of anything else to say, so I'll write to Wills then go to sleep.

You'll never guess what!
Well, alright, you probably already have - especially if Lucia's written.
I'm a Ravenclaw after all! I always hoped I would be - Ebony, you know that more than anyone - but it's such a relief that it's actually happening. I got really nervous that I might not be, but the Sorting Hat's brilliant, it really is.

Lucy, remember that Briar is her own person. You need to give her some space - I doubt she'll really want her sister 'cramping her style' anyway. Briar is very different to you - she likes to figure things out on her own rather than have people do it for her.
