If Lizzie was ever found outside it was normally alone with a note book or with one of her many instruments. It was no surprise to see her walking around the castle humming to herself either. The penny whistle that was always stuck either in her tie or behind her ear could always be seen off from a mile away. So whoever knew her well enough, knew exactly what the blonde girl sat at the Courtyard was. In other words, it was a sign to stay clear so they do not have to get into a full blown conversation on what cords Lizzie was doing that day.

The Monday afternoon was pretty steamy and hot while was Lizzie sat outside in the Courtyard with her Guitar and some papers. The girl was not fazed by the heat but still had taken off her robe and placed it on the side of the fountain not really caring if the end fell into the water. It would be a nice surprise for later. The screams of freezing cold water pouring down her back would be hilarious.

She hadn't planned anything for the rest of the day other than winging it and possibly going to annoy someone she knew. Lizzie had nothing better to do anyway. School was nearly over and it wasn't like she was leaving forever. The Quidditch Match in London was still on and her friends would all be there. What was the point in catching up on the good stuff if they were just going to eventually get bored and having nothing to say for a few weeks.

Smiling slightly, Lizzie plucked at the strings on her guitar. It didn't matter if the notes didn't correspond. All she was trying to do was actually learn what a Minor, Sharp and a Flat was. Even if it had been seven years since she started practicing guitar those words never seemed to get in her head ever.

The girl shook her head slightly and pushed some hair out of her face quickly before going back to putting her small fingers on the frets of the wooden instrument and plucking the strings everywhere and anywhere. She wasn't in the right mood to care about who heard the abominations of the guitar. It was going to be good practice for when she decides to annoy her brothers at her home.

It was always something she liked to do. Annoying people that annoyed her gave Lizzie great pleasure in knowing she was doing her job of being a big sister or maybe just even a bad person. However, it sometimes was very tiring to even comprehend on why she should be wasting her time on those people.

It was finally almost time for the school year to end and to leave the castle, which was putting Ruka into a spectacularly good mood that day. He already had his trunks packed, clothes for the train ride at the ready, multiple origami figures safely stashed away on top of his school books. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, literally and figuratively, so Ruka had decided to celebrate his high spirits by spending the day outside, dressed in a pair of blue jeans shorts and a plain white T-Shirt. The skin exposed by the summery clothing was scattered with scars of all sorts, but Ruka didn't let it bother him that people would see. What did anybody really matter if he was going to be able to forget their faces in the following two months?

His favourite grey sneakers were spotless as always, the golden flame pendant on his necklace was bouncing against his chest as he twirled his way into the courtyard, no bags or books or torches on him. Today was a day for just taking in his surroundings, soaking them up one more time before leaving, for better or for worse. Humming an off-key melody to himself, Ruka tilted his chin up to let the sun wash across his face for a moment, just as he heard a sound.

A sound he didn't usually hear in the Courtyard, one that seemed musical yet somehow chaotic, like there was no real structure to the tune.

Turning around himself, Ruka scanned the area until his gaze landed on the source of the noise; A girl, sitting by herself and strumming a guitar. It almost filled him with a strange sense of melancholy to see her; Street musicians had been one of Ruka's favourite things growing up. He used to spend most of his free time listening to them play and sing, in constant awe of the music they were creating.

These sounds, however, were nowhere near sounding like the magical melodies some of those street performers knew how to create, sounded more tentative, unstructured, like a line of words that didn't quite make up a real sentence.

Curiously, Ruka moved closer, eyes narrow as he approached the girl and her guitar. Her cloak, he saw, was discarded to the side, the bottom seam floating lazily on the water of the fountain, but that wasn't important. Clothes would dry sooner or later, especially in this weather.

"What are you playing?" he asked once he was close enough to be heard without having to yell. There was no real consideration for whether she had any interest in conversation or not; If she didn't want to talk she was welcome to ignore him, but it was rare that Ruka actually reached out to people first and he couldn't just discard that urge without acting on it first. "Doesn't sound like a real song," he pointed out as he swiftly sat down on the fountain's edge, pulling his knees up against his chest as he looked at her, a bright smile on his face. "Or not a very good one at least." Maybe that was taking discouragement a little far, but Ruka was not in the mood to ponder the impact of his words. He had a curiosity to be stilled.

"Not that I could do any better," he added before she could possibly get the idea that he actually knew what he was talking about. "Just kind of wondering why you're subjecting the innocent student body to random noises on this beautiful day, rather than playing them something more uplifting."

Sometimes all Lizzie needed was a quite day alone. However, that was not possible around Hogwarts. There was always students walking around waiting to pester unsuspecting first years who had no idea what they were getting themselves into. It was even worse if the child was naive just like the blonde girl who liked to play guitar. If it meant that she created a new acquaintance around the castle, she would happily oblige to starting a conversation up with someone . Even if that person was not someone very nice to was nice to have your contacts. Who knew when she would need to ask for a favour?

Chaos was always something Lizzie had found beautiful. In a strange way, she loved it and knew without chaos there would be nothing that was 'normal'. She had always thought that chaos was something to be admired and not discarded or thrown away in the trash. If chaos did not exist than the amazing musicians of the past could have made a horrible tune and thought it was a master piece. Imagine if Bohemian Rhapsody had been a bunch of mermaids out of water. It obviously would not have been one of the most successful songs.

As she continued her amazing guitar playing, Lizzie constantly continued to write down some music notes in her note book. She had to at least come up with one good melody and if she didn't then that was a mission failed. Lizzie really needed to get back in the game because she knew as soon as she got home all music privileges would be taken off of her. It was her own silly fault for even bringing up the forest and the Blossom Ball to her parents in the first place.

"Hm..?" She asked looking up to the boy. She brought up her right hand to her face and rubbed her eyes tiredly. "I wasn't playing anything in specific." Lizzie sighed and took everything in about the person in front of her. He looked quite relaxed somehow. She didn't understand that since the notes she was playing completely put her off and out of the zone making her very uncomfortable.

She then laughed and shook her head slightly, "Well, obviously it isn't a real song. Who on earth would like to listen to that on repeat? Someone crazy." Lizzie grinned and then wrote a few notes down in her note book again. Everything that came to her head needed to be written down before anything was wiped away. They could be the start of a sensation and then it was all lost just before one girl had a bad memory.

"I don't think it was meant to be a good song. Just some random things that I could get ideas from." She shrugged slightly a small smile tugging at her lips while she placed the muggle pencil up to her lips. It was a curious contraption. Something so small could write a lot of things down but the only down side was it needed to be sharpened every few pages. Lizzie was just thankful that her mother had sent it along with her at the start of the year other wise she would have gone through hundreds of ink bottles.

She breathed out yet another chuckled and continued, "I'm sure I could play something better but what if I was in a bad mood?" She smirked slightly. "I wasn't but it was just something that sprung to mind. I could play you something a bit more… happy?"
