Table for Two
Summer had arrived. It was here. They were free..free of all the horrid academic burdens of school yet Elena Jangleton stood amidst a sea of tents. The activites put forth for this summer had been too good to pass up and with much effort, she had managed to score an extra couple of weeks of freedom from her parents back home. Besides, who wanted to miss the Hogwarts and Durmstrang game? Not her and the fact that a foreign school was coming to visit them was an exciting thought. There wasn't many chances you got to interact with other insitutions of magic so the idea of that was a prospective one. First however, the matter of setting up the tent. She'd agreeded to share it with another person, and that person was enough to make her nervous. Nervous in the sense that well, she still hadn't fully opened up yet about what she was hiding despite the glaring hints. Either Lamik was too blind to see it or she had to make it more obvious which was really something she didn't want to do but it had to be done, one way or the other.
She unrolled the tent waving her wand watching as it flew into place, the nails holding it down. She had spent various hours in the library altering it and using all sorts of magic to get it to look the way she wanted. It was a impressive display of magic in the end. The tent was scarlet red in color with little lions scattered across the outside of the tent in a sort of pattern. If anything screamed Gryffindor, it was this and to be fair, she was fairly proud of it. She only hoped Lamik could find it easily enough, if the big red Gryffindor tent wasn't a dead giveaway, she wasn't sure what else was. Her bags and stuff were inside already though the interior wasn't as grand as the outside. Still, at least it wasn't like those cramped Muggle tents where you had to squeeze up against each other, here at least you had some breathing room.
"Wonder if he'll show?" She murmured to herself. There were a lot of thoughts going through her head at this given point in time and a part of her wondered if Lamik would honor her request. Nah, he was too nice to do something like that and she was not about to let all this decoration go to waste. She was overthinking things..again. She had overthought stuff at the Blossom Ball and that had turned out in her favour..unforunatly. Just thinking about those horrid creepy crawly creatures made her itchy all over. The less she recalled that memory, the better. For now, they were here to kick back and let loose some much pent up energy and enjoy as Hogwarts beat Durmstrang soundly in the games..hopefully. Losing to another team on your own turf was quite the embarassing thought.

Table for Two
The school year had ended. Quite frankly, Lamik Fillestar was happy about it- no more disasters, no more homework, fun activities, and meeting his family again. Before that last thing could happen though, which really was what Lamik was most excited about, there were the aforementioned activities. At that moment the boy was searching for his tent which he had agreed to share with a good friend of his: Elena Jangleton. Lamik had first officially met the girl by accident when he cast Fumos into what he first thought was an empty room. It turned out not to be empty at all, and since then they had become rather close (in his opinion), even going to the secretly held blossom ball together.
Despite the fact that he had no idea what tent was his and Elena's, it didn't take too long for the boy to find out where he was meant to go. His first attempt at rationalizing what residence would be theirs turned out to be the right one: Lamik checked every tent that seemed to be at least a bit Gryffindor themed until eventually he stepped into one and saw the girl that he was searching for. "Elena!" Lamik says, immediately walking towards his friend and giving her a hug.

It seemed he did indeed show washing away any of Elena's concerns, yes, she was over-reacting. She really needed to get a hold on that. "Lamik, hey! Glad you were able to pick out the tent!" She said grinning returning his friendly embrace. She had seen the other tents outside and liked to think it was her superior decorating skills(in her opinon anyways) that had drawn him in or maybe luck. Luck had carried her through to here, she just needed a bit of courage. Courage and luck, perhaps then she'd be able to address the big elephant in the room even if the boy was not aware of it, how much more was she gonna let it go on like this? "You planning to watch Hufflepuff pound Durmstrang into the ground then? Should make for an interesting game." It would indeed, she didn't think they had ever held an inter-school Quidditch match on their grounds at least which made it all the more appealing. That and the nifty little fur cloaks their students wore, something about that was very satisfying to the naked eye.
"Rule number one, let's try not to Fumos anything into oblivion though it seems I'm resigned to that fate now." She laughed at that reflecting on the past interactions. Seriously, why was it every time she was with Lamik, smoke presented itself in some form or fashion. That and she wasn't sure what other tentgoers would think if they saw a column of smoke erupting from their tent. That was her misson for today, have a normal, nice, social evening without the presence of any fumes. The Blossom Ball was an exception though even that effort although valiant seemed to hinder those annoying pests little if at all. "So! Third years! That means we get to take all those nifty little fancy courses!"
She wasn't sure why she sounded so excited. The idea of taking more classes on top of the ones they already one sounded like torture. She just wanted her Care of Magical Creatures and that dream had come true even if they were a couple months away. Reaching over, she plopped down a basket in front of them that seemed about ready to burst with it's contents. "Have one." Inside, there happened to be all of snacks, these little-lion shaped cookies and Choclate frogss to brownies that were Gryffindor themed, she hadn't been kidding about the decorations part. She really had gone all out with the tent.

After stepping away from Elena (since the hug finished and, quite frankly, there was no reason to just stand 3 inches apart), Lamik listened to the girl's question. He looked down, a slightly ashamed expression on his face. "Um... I don't think I'll actually be at the game. I'm sort of done with Quidditch. I'll be quitting the team as soon as next year starts, and I really don't think I'll have much fun spectating the game." The look quickly melted back into the usual grin that clung to the boys face once Fumos was mentioned. "I make no promises- who needs breathing or seeing anyways?"
With the important question out of the way, Lamik gladly took a cookie and bit in. The boys eyes widened as he quickly at the rest of the cookie. "Did you make these?" He asked, looking impressed despite the fact that no answer had yet been given. "Cause they're really, really good." As he reached into the basket and picked up another cookie, Lamik gave an answer to the comment that Elena had made earlier. "Hopefully this year will go better than the last one..." If he had to be honest, the Gryffindor highly doubted that his third year would be all that peaceful. The bad things kept coming, and none of the adults seemed to think that whatever was happening was going to end any time soon. Lamik quickly decided to change the subject though. "So, where do I sleep?"

"Oh?" He was stepping away from the team? Well, that was an answer she hadn't been expecting though it did sort of jar her a bit. From what she had seen of the house Quidditch team, Lamikwas by far one of the more skilled players they had, losing him would be a big loss though she had to wonder what the root cause was. "Mind if I ask..why? Just school or..?" She could understand a bit however, watching those players zoom around on their brooms enjoying the air and cheer of the crowd tended to make you want to be in their places and for a former Quidditch player, that would probably be a hard thing to fathom. "I'm sure I can mention a few people." She said grinning slightly. There were a few faces she wouldn't mind to see their adverser reaction to a faceful of smoke but that was another story for another time.
"You think? I had to take some helpful tips from the house elves in the kitchen, I'm not exactly what you'd call a cook." Still, she was happy with the way they had turned out and the compliments only assured her she hadn't completely botched them. She didn't exactly offer a reply to Lamik's predictions about the upcoming year but so far, she had come to know one thing. Peaceful was not a word that existed in Hogwart's vocabulary. She could only pray and hope that somehow things didn't get worser than the last but somehow, they always did. "Well, I decided it would best if you pick out your own spot, whatever floats your boat. I put my bedding by the back of the tent, it's warmer there."
Plus, the gust of air and wind that blew into the tent through the open flap every now and then wouldn't reach there. She also wouldn't be in the path of whatever intruder decided to break into their cozy red dwelling for whatever reason should they choose to do so. With Hogwarts, you could never be sure. She was in her zone, relaxed around Lamik, that stuttering impression she had given off first didn't manifest itself. Though, the cloud of expressing herself truly to him was still an obstacle she hadn't overcome. It hung over her like a weight, something she promised to get off this year, even if it didn't work out. For now however, she planned to utilize this summer encampent to the fullest.

Lamik looked around the tent in search of the best place to sleep. "It is warmer near the back, isn't it..." He thought out loud. Deciding on a spot, Lamik walked over to the center of the tent. "My boat has been floated." He said, not really thinking about the fact that having someone sleep at that spot had the potential to be really inconvenient. "From here I'll be at an equal distance from everything- though I'll set up the bedding later." The Gryffindor sat down on the floor and looked up at Elena.
It took a while, but eventually, Lamik thought of how he wanted to phrase his response. "I'm just not very passionate about the sport. I never was, really. I literally only signed up for the sake of trying it." Not particularly enjoying the sport wasn't the only reason that he had come to his decision, however. "There's also the fact that im just not very good at being a seeker." He admitted. "I failed to catch a single snitch throughout the last season. For all I know, if I wasn't on the team we could have won the cup. It's just not the kind of thing I excel at, I guess."
