Time : Mailing time by owl at breakfast
Two weeks before Summer Camp 2020
Just like any other day, the green eyes girl sitting alone on the long bench and table of their house at breakfast. They prefer solitude while eating their breakfast. Today the purple hair girl decide to eat those colorful cereal and way too sweet for their liking. Their eyes scanning the room some of their peers enjoying their own breakfast with a friend or two.
Some are just like them, some chewing their breakfast like they doing a marathon then goes up and continue the rest of their respective day. The soon to be second year student, chew their breakfast slowly. They got all the time of the day. They sigh then a familiar sound of hooting and flapping of wings greet their ears.
Cash stop what they doing and look up, just in time Blackjack (the Arctic Owl of the Ironwoods) dropped the infamous letter envelope. Cash turn the envelope and saw their full name in the front side of the said envelope. Cash slowly open the envelope and startled when the envelope move and open its own.
"Phoenix,"Their mother's voice rang out from the letter. Cash groan at that. They tried so hard to hide their first name and now the students that still linger on the Hall knew it. "How are you, my darling and why haven't you write anything back home?"The letter move as if its have their own mouth.
"I hope everything done well and you exceeds at all your subjects. Your father and I expect nothing but O's in your report card"Their mother voice rang out again. "Enough with the idle chit-chat,"Their mother voice from the letter change drastically and Cash somehow feel queazy. "I hate to inform you, my dear gem that your father was missing"The sound of their mother feel so far away and there's a ringing in the green eyes girl ears.
"The reason of his missing is yet unknown but do not fret, I am sure the Ministry will found your father in no time"Cash blink back and tried to breathe but they feel like trap. "I just want to let you know that, dear and have fun joining the summer camp. When you get back, there is something I need to tell you in person. Just find Barclay and he will drive you up to Bristol, it's where we will meet. Have fun and take care of yourself, Cash. Te amo mucho, cariña (I love you so much, darling)"With that the letter tear themselves up into tiny bits.
Cash looked around and they feel the room getting smaller and smaller. The green eyes girl chest move up and down rapidly. There are a lot of dots in their vision. "Breathe. Just breathe, dammit!"Cash said between their ragged breathing.

Some News, Indeed!
Henry was sitting alone in the great hall and instead of sitting at another table, he was actually sitting at the slytherin table near a green eyed and purple hair slytherin who Henry thought was a first year since he was pretty sure that he had seen them in classes with him. Henry however wasn't in the mood with chatting with any of his friends so he sat in silence and continued to slowly eat some eggs that laid on his plate, after some time most of the students in the hall had left and only a few remained not that Henry cared since he wasn't talking or laughing with any friends like many were doing. Henry even forgot to wear his school robes so after his meal he would need to head back to the common room and change before heading to class but he had to be fast since the first year couldn't dream if being late.
Henry watched as the last few owls from the morning post, circled above the hall while looking for the one who they have a letter or box for. Henry wonder if his brother's owl was among the group but doubted it since he got a letter from home yesterday and usually got a letter every other day but the green eyed slytherin got something and Henry noticed that it wasn't just any letter. That was a howler and lucky for Henry that he never got one but he knew just how embarrassing they could be, Henry looked away as he felt bad for the green eyed and purple hair slytherin.
Henry tried not to listen as the howler spoke on it's own and the words were ringing around the hall, which Henry guessed that the green eyed slytherin was pretty embarrassed. When the letter finished however Henry saw that they looked pretty embarrassed and awkward so he smiled at them and spoke rather quickly " at least the whole school wasn't here," Henry didn't really know what to say as he spoke again " uh, I am sorry about the howler and I tried my best not t..to listen mate."

Some News, Indeed!
Miranda had arrived at the Great Hall late that day after sleeping in later than she should have. Which, for the record, was totally not her fault. She'd stayed up late the evening before studying her advanced Defense Against The Dark Arts books...and had mostly likely forgotten to watch the clock. So yeah, maybe it was her fault.
Either way, nothing could change the past, so instead of fretting, Miranda had hurriedly changed into her school robes and made her way down the long path of staircases that led from the Ravenclaw tower all the way to the main floor. It was quite a trek, make no mistake.
By the time she reached the Great Hall, most of the students had already left, leaving only a small, spread-out group behind. She ignored the other tables in favor of the Ravenclaw one, not really paying attention to the other occupants of the room. Even though there was no reason to rush now, she still felt the need to eat a bit faster than normal. Her rapid pace meant that she was almost done her breakfast by the time a seemingly magically-amplified voice started talking.
At first, the voice startled her so badly that she almost knocked over her cup of juice, the last remnants of her meal. After the first shock, though, she tried to tune it out. Most people born into the wizarding world knew what a howler was, and why it was used - Miranda was no exception. Unfortunately, she couldn't help hearing a few words, the most notable of which was the word "missing".
Obviously, it could mean that whoever sent the howler simply wanted the recipient to know something small had been lost around the house...but not many sent such embarrassing messages for unimportant things like that. Curious, Miranda looked up, trying to spot the (unlucky) recipient.
It took her a moment, but by the time the message was finished, she'd succeeded in spotting a purple-haired girl over by the Slytherin table staring as a small sheet of paper tore itself to bits in front of her. Maybe it was just Miranda, but the girl looked panicked.
Picking up her cup, Miranda stood up from the Ravenclaw table and made her way over to the Slytherin one, intent on seeing if the girl was okay. The few words she'd caught, coupled with the way the recipient was reacting, meant that the message wasn't a good one. And Miranda knew from experience that it was better to have someone to talk to when you felt out of control and panicked. She'd had those feelings often enough herself, after all.

Some News, Indeed!
There was barely anyone at breakfast at the time, compared to dinner. The Gryffindor table was next to the Slytherin table, and Rose was sitting alone, reading a book. She was feeling a little lonely, and little did she know that what was about to happen would turn someone's world upside down. She was just in a really good part in her book, a really tense part, when a howler erupted from the next table over, announcing to someone named Pheonix- and everyone in the great Hall- that her dad was missing. Rose jumped violently, startled.
Rose could only imagine. She hated the thought. If her mom went missing, Rose would be a mess, and this Pheonix was not bound to be different.
Rose knew she was a Gryffindor and abseloutely noone cared, but if Rose could help, she would not hesitate to. Rose made her way over there, feeling self-conscious around all the Slytherins. There was already a guy over there, to which she murmured hellos- Henry? Was that his name?- along with the distressed Slytherin, and spotted a Ravenclaw on her way. She got over to the first year and said, "I'm so sorry, I couldn't help but overhear, do you... Do you want a hug?" Her voice was calming to everyone around, and it was sweet and wanting to help. Just a shade softer than an average voice, it was strongly accented with an American accent. She knew some people could be grumpy and not want help from other people, which Rose would understand far too well. She wanted to hold them and tell them it was going to be okay, but how in the world was she supposed to do that if they didn't let her?

Every in her life, for once, was perfectly and beautifully and blissfully ordinary. In another ocassion, another time, another place, Scarlett would've scoffed at the thought of enjoying a normal, average day. No injuries. No drama. No danger. After all, wasn't that what Scarlett loved? The rush of adrenaline, the wind in your ears, an exciting day where you didn't know what would come next? That was all simply wonderful in her book. Generally, she was like that. Coming home from a particularly stressful day? Whilst some would prefer to slip in a warm dressing gown and snuggle up by a fire, Scarlett would rather be riding a rollercoaster. Yet, when danger just seems to be everywhere, like an inescapable cloud of doom, it felt good to get away from it all and enjoy being a normal Hogwarts student.
Summer was coming up, and she would be going to summer camp for the majority of the break. Scarlett was incredibly excited. Around a month eating barbecue, wrecking havoc in their tents (she would be sharing with another Gryffindor, and two Hufflepuffs), telling campfire stories, playing Capture the Base and having water fights. As well as that, as the amazing finale of the camp, Durmstrang and Hufflepuff would be competing in an epic cross-school Quidditch match, and while Durmstrang sounded and seemed so much more intimidating that Hufflepuff, Scarlett knew the badgers were definitely a formidable opponent. After all, a friend of hers was in Hufflepuff, and she had quite the strong personality, and an even stronger temper. No one could match Scarlett's intense short-tempered nature, however. The rest of the summer would be spent in Godric's Hollow, which Scarlett was dreading. Her friends...well, she wasn't looking forward to confronting them. Let's just say something...complicated/interesting happened.
At the moment, Scarlett was in her school robes - tie not done properly, shirt untucked, as usual - and eating her toast before lessons started. Owl post would be coming soon. Scarlett had always liked the routine. Every morning, she would await the massive flock of owls, some tawny, some snowy and some just plain barn owls. They would swoop into the hall as the students were eating and drop mail and packages for them. Now, Scarlett didn't have an owl of her own (she was saving up for a cat instead) but her aunt had one, and she always sent Scarlett a letter on Tuesdays. Today wasn't Tuesday. It was Monday.
Anyway, the owls came in, and Scarlett watched curiously. After all the mail had been deposited, she went back to munching on her toast (jam) until a particularly loud voice cut through the chatter of the hall, addressing one 'Phoenix' student. At first glance, it seemed to just be another noisy Hogwarts pupil, but on closer inspection, the voice sounded older that a student. Oh. Scarlett realised it was a Howler - after all, the teachers wouldn't be shouting 'How are you' and 'My darling' would they? The Howler finished its message with an announcement, which was, sadly, broadcast to everyone in the Great Hall. 'Phoenix's' father had gone missing.
In an instant - by impulse - Scarlett stood up and hurried to where the Howler was, pushing through any students who were blocking her path. Scarlett's own father had 'gone missing' when she was six years old. She felt a crazy urge to help anyone who had to go through the same thing, the news that slid through you like a knife. She remembered her own reaction - the world seemed to blur with hot tears. Everything felt unreal. Like she was in a dream. And then the pain, and the torrential crying, came.
The recipient was at the Slytherin table. Scarlett noticed others coming to aid Phoenix with the shocking news. She saw Henry Knight, a boy, a childhood friend she had recently met again, who Scarlett was on awkward and somewhat bitter terms with. There was also another redheaded girl, from Gryffindor, definitely. Scarlett vaguely recalled the name Rose. Finally, a blonde first-year like her was also making her way over.
Scarlett reached Phoenix and - oh! - it was...Cash Ironwoods? She and the Slytherin had met a few times, briefly acquainted themselves, but nothing more than that. Scarlett was also fully aware of the Slytherin's pronouns - they and them. She had heard it many times.
Rose (at least she thought the girl was called Rose) was saying something about a hug. Henry was trying to comfort Cash and the blonde was almost there. Scarlett took a deep breath.
"Hi Cash," said Scarlett quickly. She sounded confident like always, however, and her voice was slightly clipped. "I couldn't help but overhear - sorry about that - and I know a lot of people can comfort and help you...but I just wanted to ask, are you alright? I mean, I know what it feels like to have a missing dad, personally..."
Scarlett really hoped she could aid Cash in any way possible through this, even though the shocking revelation had only come a few minutes ago.ReducioJust saying, I don't usually write this much XD

Although their chest feel like bei constricted, Cash tried to breathe the best as they can. The ringing was there but they force themselves to control their breathing. Slowly the ringing in their ears subsides and the first sound that they heard were the sound of a boy that seat not too far from them.
They boy offers a smile. He stated at least the whole student bodies are not presence at the moment. "Yes, you are right. If at this moment they all here, I will be damned"The green eyes girl let out a nervous chuckle, they trying to make it light out of the situation they were in at the moment. Then the boy uttered his apology.
With this the soon to be second year student, knitted their eyebrows. The boy then elaborate what he was sorry for. " Oh that,"Cash swallow hard. " That was something else, did not it but do not worry. It is fine"Cash tried to convince themselves that nothing wrong with their predicament. Unbeknownst to the green eyes girl, their howler attracted three others set of eyes.
Another voice almost startled them. They looked at the red head girl and it seems Cash had seen her somewhere around Castle. If their mind were not a jumble mess right now, Cash might remember where they see the red head that now standing in front of them. "I'm so sorry, I couldn't help but overhear, do you... Do you want a hug?"The girl voice was calming and gentle.
She genuinely want to help the purple hair girl. The girl also had American accent which so different then the rest of the students at Hogwarts. Usually Cash avoids physical contact but oddly they really need to feel some sort of comfort. It seems the girl was sorry too at the condition Cash was in.
Cash glanced at the girl, "Eso sería encantador. Gracias"Cash stated with thick Cuban accent. They blink back when they realized that none of the students that gathered around the purple hair know any Spanish. "That would be lovely. Thank you"The green eyes told the red head girl and they also translated it for the others.
They offer a small smile to the girl. Another voice enter the mix. The owner of the voice greet them first. "Hey, Adey"The serpent greet the other lioness with her nickname that was given from the club both of the students are in.
"I couldn't help but overhear - sorry about that - and I know a lot of people can comfort and help you but I just wanted to ask, are you alright? I mean, I know what it feels like to have a missing dad, personally"Scarlett said to the green eyes girl.
Cash want to shout something about how sorry the other students are. They feel like right here, right now they are in some sort of charity case and the purple hair girl hate being one. They did not asked for the attention that come entails with the said Howler but they got it because of it. "I,"Cash trailed off.
"Honestly.."They stated, running their hand onto their hair and blow out a heavy breathe. "Honestly I do not know what to feel. I am not that particularly close with father but this.."Cash gestures to the tore bits of the letter and themselves with their hand back and forth.
They still processing what just had happened to them and all the attention that they got from the other students make them feel overwhelmed. "Seriously I just do not know. Is it even normal?"They glance back to the boy, the red head Gryffindor girl and Scarlett trying to find the answer for what had just happened to them.ReducioOOC : Sorry for the long respond and for Miranda, sure Cash will explain to her as this thread goes along.@Rose Moon | @Scarlett Aden | @Miranda Everest | @Henry Knight

Henry was about to say something to the purple hair and green eyed slytherin that was before a red head joined them who Henry had a faint guess that he name was Rose. Anyway she offered the fellow slytherin a hug which Henry watched then take it and soon Henry saw another join them who was Scarlett Aden, another gryffindor but also a childhood friend of Henry's who he has either the pleasure or displeasure of meeting again earlier in the year. The two were still on awkward and sort of bitter terms so Henry passed by the two and kept his focus on his fellow slytherin as he wanted to take their mind off of the howler.
" I'm Henry by the way and I'm sorry about your father to, but I just thought that you might not a reminder of the whole howler experience," Henry offered them a guilty smile before continuing " I felt like I seen you before, your a first to right?" Henry was soon to be a second year and over the year gained confidence so he didn't mind talking to others that much anymore nor did his stutter come up when he talked only when he was anxious did it come up. Henry did spoke again in attempt to take the slytherin mind off of the howler " are you going to the summer camp over the summer? I am, maybe we'll see each there. And I'm sure that you won't get another howler at the camp maybe," Henry smiled at his attempt to do a joke which sort of failed. Henry then remembered the Slytherin's question and quicky added " I think it's normal, I'm not that close with my father also."

They spoke some Spanish in a beautiful accent, though Rose only understood the last word, so she wasn't sure if that was a "No, but thanks," or a "That would be great, thanks." Rose hesitated, not wanting to hug-attack her if she clearly stated (or not-so-clearly stated?) that she did not want a hug. As they clarified, Rose did give them a hug, glad that they accepted it, and rubbed her back in what was supposed to be a comforting way.
Rose did realize that, gosh, this person had just gotten the shock of their life, and it probably didn't help to be swamped by people, especially people who didn't know them.
Maybe she was just making things worse?
This other girl came over. Rose knew she was a Gryff girl, but she hadn't really met her. She wracked her brains and remembered the name Scarlett, or as "Phoenix" called her, Adey. She murmured her hellos, and was glad to see that Scarlett could provide some more comfort to Phoenix.
Henry commented that he wasn't really that close with his dad either. Rose had been really close with her dad the three years she spent with him, but he was gone now. So he really wasn't close with him at all, she just felt a gaping hole in her where she knew he should be. Rose cocked her head on its side, "I think she meant what happened to her dad," she looked at the little pieces of the howler, thinking how horrible and messed up the world was. People going missing. "I can't imagine that's normal," Rose continued. "I mean, the world is screwed up, but that is not normal."

@Henry KnightBy the time Miranda actually reached the howler's recipient, at least three other students had beaten her to it. And it hadn't been that she was walking slowly, either - they were just really fast. A smile ghosted across her lips at the realization. It was a nice to see such concern for others on the part of her peers. Sure, she knew plenty of students that were kind and cared, in fact, she'd been reassured by a few of them over the year, but that had always been maybe one or two people at most. This was much bigger. So yes, it was nice.
As Miranda neared, she recognized one of the other students as Henry, one of her friends. The other two, as well as the girl who was the centre of it all, were all unfamiliar.
"Hey," she began, struggling to think of the right words, especially with the little information she had gathered so far. "I over heard some of that message as well...and I just wanted to say that it'll probably turn out alright. Um." She paused, mentally berating herself for the trundling way she spoke. Who knew if it was even helping? "The ministry knows what it's doing. They'll find him in no time."
Miranda glanced around at the others, feeling a bit awkward. Reassurances weren't her thing, not really. If she ended up helping anyone in that way, it was mostly by accident. She was much better at informing others of facts, but there was nothing factual about this in the least.

Henry listened to Rose, and then he saw that Miranda joined them and said something about feeling bad for her but also that the ministry knew what they were doing. At this point the slytherin had multiple thoughts in his head, one was their were 4 others with the purple haired slytherin and if he got something like they did then he would like to be alone so he could imagine that the attention could not have been nice. The second was just because his father worked at the ministry and his brother was applying to become a auror, didn't mean Henry had to like the ministry or trust them.
In fact, he never like the ministry since his mum died mainly because the ministry cover up her death and any worse they said about it was it was a terrible accident. However after a few years of research,
Henry now knew the truth that his family was targeted because of the ministry which resulted in the death of his mum so he never trusted or like the ministry which made him say " I wouldn't say the ministry knew what they were doing, their only in it for their bloody self's and no one else," Henry then looked at his fellow slytherin as he spoke again " I'm sure your father is alright through, mate."
