Little Bit of Trouble Pet Finished

Not having many friends, Logan had wanted a pet of her own to bring to Hogwarts since she started her first year. Of course at that time her father's response was 'You don't need a pet at school, you need to focus on your studies.' Now that Logan was headed to her second year though, she had managed to convince him. It was probably the fact that she had managed to keep good grades and didn't get into trouble or the fact that her convincing him was just not asking him. That is how Logan managed to make her way to Diagon Alley to buy herself a pet.

Logan slowly opened the door to the Magical Menagerie and the instant amount of noise partially started her. Cats could be heard meowing, owls hooting, toads croaking, and the sound of other students shuffling around could also be heard. Taking a slow hesitant step forward, she knew that there was no going back at this point. The clinking of the coins in the pouch on her hip gave Logan the confidence to look around. Before she had even gotten to Diagon Alley, she had already told herself that she would be getting a cat. The family cat was getting old and honestly Logan was not a fan of him in the first place.

Heading immediately towards the area with the cats, she could see that all of them seemed to be friendly little animals. They all ranged in size, color, and even age though. She needed to bond with the cat before she decided which on she would choose, and the long haired cats were already out of the running. In one cage was a litter of kittens tumbling and playing with each other. Their coats were a bright orange, but none of them seemed to bond with the young Hufflepuff. "You guys are adorable though," Logan mumbled as some of the kittens turned their heads to acknowledge that she was there before going back to playing.

Logan moved on walking passed the long haired cats to a litter of kittens that seemed rather quiet and reserved. They matched her personality perfectly, but none of them seemed to bond with her either. That is until she noticed a kitten separate from the others attempting to climb out of the cage. He seemed to be a little trouble maker and when he realized that she was crouched by his cage, he immediately came trotting over curiously. "You are a curious little thing aren't you" she muttered as the kitten attempted to climb up the cage to observe her. Carefully Logan reached over and picked up the curious little kitten and it didn't even take a moment before Logan felt a connection with the little thing. Slowly the kitten reached out and touched her face with its paw, just as curious about her as it was about everything else. "I even have the perfect name for you, Sherlock."
