Making New Friends Closed

"Wicked is an UNDERSTATEMENT!" Callie exclaimed with a wide grin plastered onto her face as she looked out onto the lake. Every so often she adjusted her glasses to make sure she wasn't missing something thanks to her own pesky spectacles. "I know right, it's GIGANTIC! Imagine if we were able to RIDE THAT THING? Gah, that would be so cool...and dangerous....and something that would make Nora yell at me..." Callie trailed off in thought as she peered out onto the lake, still trying to spot the elusive creature.

It wasn't until Aoife introduced herself that Callie was brought firmly back into reality and pulled from her creature hunt. She spun around on her heel to face the group, only to stumble and nearly fall into the lake in the process. Instead of being distraught over the near accident Callie simply laughed it off. "Aoife..isn't that an Irish name? Ah, that's so cool! I'm from just outside Inverness myself but I have some Irish family! Where about's are you from? I can tell you're Scottish too just from the accent!" Callie smiled and stuffed her hands into her pockets, rocking back and forth on the balls of her feet as she spoke. "Well, it's nice to meet you 'Just Henry'." Callie giggled and gave Ashwaria a pleasant wave, briefly introducing herself to the new appearance. "I wonder what's that big guy called anyway? I bet he has a name! I just can't remember.." Callie trailed off for a moment to look back out onto the lake for a brief second. "What are you guys doing out here anyway? I just HAD to get out of the library for a little bit! You can only look at books for so long without going a tad insane, don't ya' think?"

Callie was a friendly girl who rarely ever reigned in her own general enthusiasm for anyone but even she could notice the general unwillingness of Henry and Ashwaria to deal with her. Under normal circumstances Callie would've brushed off the entire thing and continued unhindered into her usual excited ramblings but something about the pair significantly dampened her mood. Perhaps it was getting called hyper or perhaps it was the fact neither of the pair answered any of her questions. Regardless the entire situation was making Callie uncomfortable and she didn't at all enjoy the sensation. After all she was a confident girl who was so unapologetically herself! Discomfort wasn't something she was well acquainted with but lately it seemed to be greeting her at every corner. The entire ordeal was making her miss the usual bickering of Thomas and Elias as while it could grow annoying at least they didn't discourage her from talking freely.

Regardless of her own feelings of discomfort on the part of Henry and Ashwaria she didn't show any signs of it. After all what would she gain from being impolite? Instead Callie moved herself back onto the grass, significantly less enthusiastic about the entire thing than she was before. "Hyper? Not at all, I'm just not a quiet person." Callie replied with a pleasant smile on her face despite her taking the comment to heart. "Liverpool? Neat! I uh, have some family there! Same with London.." She rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly and decided that she had to leave the entire conversation before she ended up feeling worse. "I should get going! Tonnes of stuff to do, you know?" The last place Callie wanted to be was the library but she didn't want to sit in a conversation that made her uncomfortable much longer, so she opted instead to make excuses. "Catch you later! Have fun!" Callie picked up her belongings from underneath a nearby tree and headed off, most likely in the pursuit of Thomas and Elias. They may have been annoying and sometimes insufferable but they were friends and their company was pleasant to reside in.

Callie bolted away from them as if we were mean but Ashwaria couldn't do anything al she said was "Oh Callie come back-, there she goes" she smiled as usual because she always thought your smile always makes a good impression that you're a good person especially a genuine one.

" uh Ashwaria what is the book that your are reading, it looks quite interesting just by looking at the cover," Asked Henry, "Oh this is my diary it has a few drawings and a few physics and math equations nothing much, oh but it does have a few secrets but it doesn't matter"

" also that isn't a Hogwarts uniform, is it? What uniform is that Ashwaria, I only ask because I'm just interested since it looks cool."asked Henry, Ashwaria replied with a chuckle "No this is not a uniform, I don't like wearing the Hogwarts uniform when I am free and fun fact NASA stands for National Aeronautics Space Administration, I want to be an Astronaut and an Astrophysicist someday and go to mars, My parents work at NASA but they are astrobiologists, they search for life on other planets, it's cool!" Ashwaria suddenly felt a gush of wind push her hair and it made it all messy, she flattened it out and hoped to be friends with Henry and asked "How old are you and which house?"

" that's cool maybe we can do a few physics and mathematical equations sometime," said Henry, now that made Ashwaria's smile wider and more genuine, she finally found someone that actually appreciates her smartness and said "Sure someday maybe we could"

" yeah I also don't prefer to wear the uniforms and definitely love to wear muggle clothing whenever I can," said Henry and Ashwaria replied with delight "I know right it's uncomfortable especially in the summers" " I'm 12 and a Slytherin, not that I'm like most Slytherin's anyway. Uh, what about you?" Henry then quickly added " would you mind giving a bit more information on NASA and uh Astronauts? Sorry while I do know a lot about the muggle world, I still grew up in a pureblood family and so I don't know everything about the muggle world but I would love to learn more." Ashwaria replied assuring Henry that" Don't worry, the pureblood proud Slytherins asked to be a Slytherin while the real ones are kind, don't worry I only hate pureblood and proud people Slytherin or not" she chuckled

Sorry while I do know a lot about the muggle world, I still grew up in a pureblood family and so I don't know everything about the muggle world but I would love to learn more." asked Henry, Ashwaria smiled and answered "It's ok, basically astronauts are people who go to space do research and even spacewalk but to be an astronaut you need to be an engineer, doctor, physicist, etc. You need good personality team skill, good physical health and mental, and you need really good marks almost O's in everything, Astrophysicist do go to space but their main goal is to find out how stars work their death, uncovering mysteries of the universe like black holes QUASARS, etc. Astrobiologist search for life in other planets and more, we have found so many planets habitable thousands and even our neighbouring planet Mar's use to have water and may still be hostile to life, many robots like curiosity, opportunity have gone to mars and getting data for scientists to understand the planet Astronauts, Astrophysicist Astrobiologist, I can't explain everything it's so big and vast it will take me days to explain everything if not months" Ashwaria took a deep breath and said "It's just wonderful feeling weightless in space, floating around and Having a courier in STEM and these are one of the hardest jobs, you need to go in the best universities and get the best marks "
