Henry was up earlier than most were that morning, he still had a lot on his mind from the summer. Even with the confidence that the boy gained from his first year, he now much more anxiety because of his summer and the unexpecting and unwelcoming meeting with his father's family. That very same meeting, caused Henry to be a bit more isolated from others and keep to his thoughts a lot more which wasn't the greatest for the twelve year old as Henry stepped into the great hall and to his surprise and relief didn't find that many students or professors there yet.

As Henry looked around for a seat, he wasn't in his uniform since they didn't need to be yet. Instead Henry worse his fade greenish jacket that brought him comfort in times where he felt isolated and cut off from the rest. Henry started down a row became two tables when he saw a familiar face sitting alone at the end of the hufflepuff table. Even though he was in Slytherin, Henry walked quite quickly to the figure who was Logan Baird who Henry hadn't see all summer because of their different schedules and Henry's unexpecting situations during the summer.
As Henry walked to the girl he felt the bracelet on his wrist, that reminded him that they both had the same bracelet that symbolized their friendship between them.

Henry was almost jogging to his best friend as he came to a rather uneasy halt in front of her, Henry was smiling wide which is something he hadn't really done in his second year nor had he wanted to speak to others but Logan was different. As Henry spoke " Logan! It's great to see you, I feel like I haven't seen you all summer. How have you been?" Henry felt like he could have continued but didn't instead he walked around the table and sat down next to Logan when he wrapped his arms around her into a awkward hug, which is when Henry spoke " I missed you so much. I have so much to tell you," Henry had no idea where to start but he was reassured when he saw that she to was still wearing her friendship bracelet.

When Logan gave Henry the violin music book, he was a bit overwhelmed since he only ever got gifts from his siblings and never from friends. Thus was something he couldn't believe as he spoke " thanks so much, you didn't have to get me anything but this is amazing," words that Henry meant since there were two sides to his violin. One was playing it with family and friends which he loved more than anything and the other was when he first started playing it, it was a few months after his mum and died and his father changed dramatically. Henry thought for the worse but he also rather bit think about his father or his surname at the moment as he smiled at his best friend and the violin book in his hand.

" My summer wasn't the best but it was fine at times," Henry thought if meeting his father's family but continued " I was at the camp but I didn't see you, besides from that I met up with some others and another event happened during the summer." Henry thought but telling her which he would but first he thought she should say her summer as be spoke " which I will tell you later but first tell me about your summer Robin?"

At the sight of how happy Henry seemed when it came to the book Logan smiled. She accomplished one things, and that was making Henry happy. When he mentioned having gone to the summer camp, Logan sighed. "I actually also went to the summer camp, spent most of my time in the tent by myself though." She remembered talking to a few other people but most of them ended up leaving to hang out with their own friends anyway. Then there was the lessons.

"My father ended up making me take lessons over the summer. Transfiguration, Charms, and he said I wasn't spending enough time practicing my dancing so I also had dance lessons." Just the thought of the long hours of lessons made Logan shutter. She was constantly tired of them and he didn't give her weekends off, only shortened the lessons by an hour. "One of my other friends, Elsian from Gryffindor, came over and spent a day at my place. We ended up going into town and exploring a bit." Logan remembered the exploring, but it also reminded her of the fact that Elsian was her only other friend other than Henry. She looked at Henry with a grin on her face as she remembered her brothers though.

"Rorik and Alexander want to meet you. They think that you are a good influence for me and that they need to make sure you are a good person. Oh, those two also dyed my hair Gryffindor red by mixing it with my shampoo. Two weeks of having red hair before it finally came out." Just at the thought of her red hair Logan pulled a strand to the front of her face, just to double check that it was no longer bright red. She then remembered the talk with her father. "Father also wants to meet you, believes that he may recognize your father's name from work. If you are going home over Christmas break he wants your family to come over for dinner a day." Her father was very persistent when it came to meeting her friends. She hoped that her father would like Henry, but you could never tell with her father until he just straight out told you if he liked them or hated them.

"Now, tell me about your summer. What happened?"

Henry listened to Logan talk and smiled once she was finished, he never really told his father about any of his friends or sort but figured he should now but now wasn't probably the best time with everything going on. However Henry smiled as he spoke " sounds like you had quite the summer, but I am sorry about the lessons you took over the summer," Henry gave a sympathetic look and frown almost toward Logan before smiling again and saying " I would love to meet your brothers and my sister actually wants to meet you also which is a first since she could possibly care less about my life," Henry paused and continued in a shaky and less confident voice like back when they first met in their first year, " I was actually going t...to stay here for the c...Christmas holiday's but I guess I can g..go home so we can g..get our families together. I'll s..send an owl to my f..f...father and siblings to let them know, I'm sure it will be f..fun."

That wasn't the only odd thing, after Henry scanned the hall to make sure that no one was peeking into their conversation before he spoke "
alright my summer, just promise me that you'll keep this to yourself, Robin." Henry looked around real quick then leaned into Logan as he spoke " so remember how my father was disowned from his family when he was a teen? While his family, the Alluring's sent a owl saying that they want to reconnect and of course father accepted as he set a date aside during the summer to meet with them." Henry took another breath before continuing in a low whisper " however when we did meet them, we found our their true motives and they weren't to reconnect. The Alluring's wanted to be sure that their bloodline continued to be pure so without us knowing they arranged marriages for me and Arthur," Henry felt himself losing control as he took a breath then continued in a low whisper " my brother; Arthur was furious and he said some things before storming out,
Annabeth and me closely followed him then our father came. We try to go about our lives and act like that meeting didn't happened but Merlin's beard father said that the Alluring's do whatever it takes to reach their end and that doesn't help me feel less nervous."

When Henry started speaking in his shaky, less confident voice Logan sighed. "Hey, if you don't want to stay here for Christmas you can. I can just owl my father and we could instead meet up over summer instead. It isn't that much of a big deal, I could even stay here if you wanted." She wanted to make sure he knew that he was not pressured into making a decision that he didn't want to. Carefully Logan wrapped her arm around Henry's shoulders and pulled him into a side hug, hoping to comfort him a little bit.

When he asked if she would keep something to herself she raised her eyebrows. "Who am I going to tell, I literally have one other friend." She muttered a little grumpy at the fact he thought she would tell someone else something important about his life. At the mention of an arranged marriage, Logan frowned. Who even did arranged marriages any more. "I'm sorry Charm. I thought meeting your family would end up being a good thing, but I guess it wasn't." Carefully she squeezed Henry's shoulders as she kept her arm around him. She felt bad about the fact that he had such a bad summer, but the only thing she could really do was make sure that is school year ended up as normal as possible.

"I can have my brothers send me a bottle of their dyed shampoo and then you won't miss out on me having red hair." She offered him a sheepish grin at the thought of having her brothers dye her hair again.

Henry smiled at the thought of her cheering him up and returned her side hug, as he squeezed her shoulders Henry spoke " thanks and I'll still make sure our families meet during the holiday. It will be fun and plus I can see your brothers and my sister getting along brilliantly,
I won't be surprised if after that I have red dyed hair." Henry laughed at the thought of Annabeth doing that to him or even befriending Logan's brothers and the three of them getting into a lot of mischief while Henry and Logan were away at Hogwarts.

Henry then thought about meeting up in the summer and thought that would be even worse since he had no idea what his future held and doing it months away, next year even would be too risky. So the Christmas holiday would be best as Henry continued squeezed Logan's shoulders and smile as he spoke " thanks for being a good friend and trying to cheer me up," Henry took a short pause to be breath before continuing to speak " and you shouldn't be embarrassed about having red hair at Hogwarts so I'll just go home during the Christmas holidays so our families can meet for dinner or something. It will be amazing fun, you see Robin," Henry wasn't sure if his father would go or would have time like last year when he met Altair's family but that was different, hopefully his father could go to this or show a faction of care for his youngest son social life.

"We could match, we would have the bracelets and the red hair. People would be so confused." Logan giggle a bit at the thought of both of them having dyed red hair and giggled more at the thought of them both just trying to get it out. It had taken her two weeks and that was with multiple showers a day.

Deciding they had talked too much about depressing matters for the day, Logan grabbed her bag and started to dig through it, attempting to find something. "Aha, here it is." In the Hufflepuff's hand was a picture she had taken over the summer. "My father decided it was time my brother's got actual horses, so their ponies were sold to our local equestrian center. In return, we added these two beauties to our collection of horses." Logan lay the picture on the table in front of both of them. It was a picture of two smaller looking horses, one white with gray speckling throughout her coat and the other a reddish bay with a small white mark on her forehead.

"Macey is the white one and Clementine is the brown one," Logan informed him as she remembered bringing the sweet little mares into the barn. Her brothers were both surprised at the fact they were able to get their own horses. "I also started to compete again, I would really like it if you could come riding with me when you come over for dinner. Your siblings could come with as well if they would like."

Henry listened to Logan talk about her brother's new horses then show him a picture of the to together, when Logan finished speaking however Henry quickly spoke " their adorable,
who's is who's?" Henry then Logan say that she was competing again and that she would like to give riding sometime together and to that Henry spoke " that's great that your competing again and I would love to go riding with you that sounds like it will be a great, fun time." Henry smiled at Logan as he thought of riding with her and having their families meet, the more Henry thought of it his father knee nothing about his social life. It was funny his father only met three of his friends and two of them their families already knew each other and almost pushed them together while the third was a happy accident so it might be good for his father to know more of his youngest son social life but Henry was having mix feelings about it through.

Henry then searched his jacket pocket for a picture of a barn owl and quicky took it out to show Logan as he spoke " you remember Arthur's barn owl; Sandy. I took this over of the summer of her and he still soldiers her like crazy," Henry then smiled as he continued to speak " even through I want a cat which won't come for a while since you know my family can't afford it. We might a Crump puppy, turns out there's a load of them at the ministry in the creature department and my father is trying to get us one. I say it's a guilt gift for introducing us to his awful family," Henry rolled eyed as he thought about the jack Russell looking dog with a forked tail he couldn't help but smile at the thought.
