Hello trouble
It was a bright morning at Hogwarts and Nicky had a feeling that something wonderful was about to happen. She didn't even know yet what it would be but the feeling alone was enough to make her happy. When she ran down to the Great Hall and dug into her breakfast, she heard owl screeching from above - the post had arrived. Her eyes lit up with joy when she saw her grandfather's small owl and an envelope dropped into her hands. The girl took out a letter and read through it. It was long, detailed and humorous, with a scent of grandpa's cologne on the paper and with a postscript in red ink:
"Your mother thought it would be a brilliant idea to send you a Spanish dictionary which weighs at least 10 pounds. If her owl makes it to Hogwarts at all make sure to give him a treat for his efforts".
She looked up to the ceiling but her mother's owl was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly she noticed the owl flying in and saw the bird plummet to the ground right after dropping a very heavy package somewhere on the Slytherin table. Nicky's mouth opened in terror as she rushed to the poor creature's aid, spilling her milk all over her uniform. It was still breathing and with a sigh of relief Nicky cradled the bird in her arms, stroking its head gently. She still had no idea where the package landed, so she hurried to the Slytherin table, hoping to find it.

Hello trouble
THE SENSE OF FOREBODING THAT SAPPHIRE FELT WAS MILDLY CONCERNING. The last time she'd felt that way, she'd almost gotten rammed into in the library the year prior. The pale-haired girl already had a habit of not eating much, and the feeling was making it even worse. Not that she cared much, being more focused on... other things.
She sighed, running one hand through her hair while she rested her face against her other palm. Wonder what's going to happen, she thought, expression void of emotion as her gaze wandered. Her eyes seemed a bit glassed over, never focusing on anything.
Her hand then shot up, barely catching hold of something that was falling towards her head. She winced as her wrist bent just a bit to far forward. She swiftly set down the package, not yet bothering to check what its contents were, as her other hand shot to her wrist. The section of her face that had rested against her hand was a pinkish red, contrasting with the much paler shade of the rest of her skin. Sapph took a chance to glance at the package, which seemed fairly thick. It was also heavy, from what she could tell when she had grabbed it.
The girl glanced at the people around her, trying to figure out who to ask. There was one kid, a brunette, sitting next to her.
"Erm..." Her expression contorted, briefly, into one of frustration before she smoothed it over. "Do you know who..." She glanced at the name of whomever it was addressed to. "Elsa Veronica Bennett is?"
She briefly caught sight of another girl, another brunette, looking frantically for something. Her brows furrowed, and if the boy responded, she may not have registered it. She was looking up and down the Slytherin table, which pointed to the package most likely being hers.
Sapphire would call out to her, but she didn't want to draw attention to herself.@Elsa Veronica Bennett

Hello trouble
Henry kept his head down as he entered the great hall, he wasn't really in the mood to talk to any of his friends or strangers for that matter as he quickly and quietly walked over to the slytherin table. His robes weren't buckled together and his tie was undone, if a professor would have saw then he was sure he would have gotten into trouble for Henry didn't care as he continue to walk to the slytherin table before taking a seat next to a pale haired slytherin, Henry took a breath as he was glad no one came up to him and started talking to him because he had too much on his mind with everything that happen the summer before the year, so much in fact that Henry forgot his messager type bag and would need to get it later before his first class.
Henry barley saw a small owl struggling to carry a large package, poor owl I hope he will be alright, Henry watched as the owl dropped the package into the girl's hand who he was sitting next to and as the owl fell out of the air somewhere else. Henry hoped the owl would be ok but couldn't think of it much as the girl besides him as who the package belong to, apparently it belong to a Elsa Veronica Bennett but Henry didn't know who that was. He did however see a girl walking along the slytherin table holding a small owl so Henry pointed to her as he spoke " no idea, but I have a feeling that it might belong to her."

Hello trouble
There were many people at the Slytherin table and Nicky had no idea who could have seen her package, so she decided to ask the first person she saw about it. It was a nice thoughtful-looking boy whom Nicky liked instantly. And it seemed to her that he was looking in her direction, although she wasn't sure why exactly.
"Hello, have you seen a Spanish dictionary anywhere? I saw it fall down somewhere around here, it is really big and heavy and it should have my name on it, it's Elsa Veronica Bennett but most people just call me Nicky because it's shorter that way and this is Feathers, he is my mother's owl, don't you think he's cute? He is such a darling!"
And she held out the owl that had started to come to his senses and opened one eye to observe his surroundings. Without waiting for the boy to respond, Nicky chattered on at the speed of light.
"And what is your name? You are in second year too, right? Would you like to study together sometime? It should be fun!"
She looked at the boy happily and stopped talking for a second, giving him the time to answer all the questions.

Hello trouble
Henry soon regretted pointing at the gryffindor girl carrying the owl because she seemed to have noticed as she walked right over to Henry and started chatting with him at such a fast pace that it would be hard for anyone to hear. Henry really wasn't in the mood for chatting as he had a lot on his mind and really didn't want to be bothered but he also had a lot of patience from growing up with his twin sister so Henry remained calm and continued to smile at the girl who he noticed have spilled something over the front of her robes.
When she finished Henry smiled as he spoke " nice to meet you Elsa, I'm Henry and yes I'm also a second year," Henry thought about her next question and decided it would do him some good to study with others and take his mind off of his current situation as he spoke again " I would love to study with you mate, but as more your book," Henry then pointed at the pale haired girl next to him before continuing " you should speak to her because she was the one who caught your book just a moment ago." Henry smiled at both girls as he saw that he just got himself thrown in the middle of something when he really wanted to be alone, fate has a funny way of changing things even through Henry doesn't believe in fate.

Hello trouble
THE GIRL THAT SAPPHIRE HAD NOTICED AND THE OTHER BOY HAD POINTED TO HAD COME OVER TO THEM, probably noticing he'd pointed at her. She was now speaking at a rapid pace. She also seemed like she was the one the book belonged to.
The pale haired girl listened in silence, gaze trained on the two brunettes. She startled when the boy, who'd stated himself to be Henry, pointed to her and made her the center of attention. Her hands scrambled to grab the book, earlier speed and smooth movements seemingly gone. "Er, yeah. I believe this is yours," she said, holding the thick volume towards the girl with one hand and adjusting her tie with the other. The colour from where her hand had been had faded, but now her face was dusted pink in slight embarrassment.
She wasn't sure whether or not she should say her name, but she opted not to. At first, at least. If they wanted to know it, they could ask. Then she thought that may come off as rude if she didn't introduce herself. But at the same time, she couldn't bring herself to... She cut of her mental crisis.
"I'm Sapph, by the way," she said with a quiet voice.@Elsa Veronica Bennett

Hello trouble
Henry's attention got turned over to the paled haired girl who introduced herself as Sapph and handed the gryffindor her book, Henry saw how big the book was now and silently wonder what type of book was it while also feeling bad for the small owl that delivered it which made Henry say " nice to meet you Sapph, uh Elsa what type of book is that?" Henry asked pointing at the book which peak is curious above his anxiety and fact that he wanted to be alone, in fact Henry got a idea that wasn't all bad especially if they didn't have a lot on his mind and wanted to be alone which he did but yet he said his idea anyway, " Elsa, uh Nicky if your not sitting with anyone then your more then welcome to join the slytherin table if you like," Henry found it funny how many friends he had in other houses but none in his own which prompted him to say " and speaking of that study group,
Sapph if you like to join us that would be great to."
Henry smiled at the two girls as he found it funny how much he got along better with girls than other guys, he actually had more female friends than he had male friends. Before Henry could think of it anymore, his brother's barn owl came swooping down and landed next to him on the slytherin table with a letter in its beak which made Henry laugh a bit as he spoke " looks like I have mail to. The only one left now is sapph."

When the boy introduced himself and agreed to hang out and agreed to study together, Nicky's heart bounced in excitement.
NEW FRIEND!
The best thing about Hogwarts in her opinion was that no matter how much time she spent there, she kept finding new wonderful people everywhere. She got so thrilled that she almost forgot about her dictionary, but then Henry pointed at a girl who was holding Nicky's package in her hands. She introduced herself too and gave her the book. The day was getting better and better. She got the dictionary back and she found two new friends who wanted to sit with her. In the meantime, her mother's owl recovered completely, looked cheerfully around, made a cute sound and flew away. Nicky waved happily to him (bye, Feathers!) and focused completely on her two newest acquaintances.
"It is so nice to meet you, Henry, and you too, Sapph, thank you so much for the book and yes, you should totally join us, we are going to make such and amazing study group! I would be delighted to sit with you, my other friends aren't around right now, maybe they have already eaten and left! It is so great to meet you, we are going to be best friends ever!"
Sitting down at the table with them, she suddenly smiled even wider, because a brilliant idea crossed her mind:
"Do you guys want to do something besides studying together? I have such an amazing idea, it is just fantastic and it will be so much fun!"

Hello trouble
Henry watched as the owl that Elsa or Nicky was holding fly away and she seemed to be talking a lot now as Henry watched her sit at the slytherin table with Sapph and himself. Henry tried to pay attention and keep his mind off of his other matters and thoughts but it was hard as Henry started at the gryffindor who was talking quite a lot and about all sorts of things but in particular about being friends and becoming best friends. Maybe just being friends or close friends, but wow she seems excited like over excited. I might have not have thought this through, yes I need something to take my mind of of everything but I also need my mind and thoughts still all everything without being rude... bloody hell this will be difficult but also fun.
Henry smiled at the girl when she finished before speaking " uh, yes this will be fun Nicky and what is your amazing and fantastic idea that will be so much fun?" Henry question the gryffindor girl as he took the letter from his brother's owl break and before he knew it the owl flew away and back through the great hall where it came, " bye sandy, I'll see you again when Arthur has some other bad or maybe...possibly good news to tell me. Henry opened up the letter while he was still listening to the two girls, Henry read it quickly and in summary it was nothing important only that Arthur might be able to jump ahead a year and do his third and final year of schooling to become auror this year. Henry wasn't surprised since his brother was brilliantly smart and great at everything which sort of annoyed Henry a bit as he put the letter into a pocket in the inside of his robes before looking back up and listening to the two girls.

"I DON'T NORMALLY GET MAIL," the pale haired girl said with a slightly nervous-sounding laugh. I'm not even sure anyone in the family HAS an owl, she thought. "I also don't have many emotional connections with people who would send things to me and I don't read the paper." What she meant when she said she didn't have many emotional connections was she didn't have any friends. Not outside Hogwarts, at least.
She pushed those thoughts down. "Studying with other people would be nice. If anything, it'd be better than stressing on my own when I really should be asleep..." She muttered the last part, not intending for anyone to hear. Her eyes had brightened just a bit.
Nicky was speaking rapid-fire, slightly disorienting the girl. But it was also a bit endearing, she supposed. She was doubtful that they would become best friends, but maybe having another friend would be nice.
Henry seemed to be a bit distracted by something, though she didn't have a clue as to what that could be. Nicky seemed quite excited. It took the pale-haired girl a second to register the last thing she'd commented.
"Erm... what's your idea?" she asked, trepidation bleeding into her words.@Elsa Veronica Bennett and @Henry Knight
