Henry listened to Carolyn talk about her cat and dog interacting and couldn't help but smile at the thought, as after he heard her agree that he should come visits during the summer holiday something that Henry wanted to do but wasn't sure if things would were out so he spoke " that would be great, I'll love to visit you during the summer holiday's," Henry wasn't lying because he certainly would but with everything going on with his family and his father's family he wasn't sure and so lost in thought Henry almost missed her question about which type of cat would he want.

" oh, a red mackerel tabby maybe because back in godric hollow on of my neighbor's use to have one and it was so mischievous and adventurous." Henry heard himself say as he looked into her eyes but felt like he was somewhere else as thoughts started to float back into his mind as he heard Carolyn talk about hogwarts and to let her know if he comes across anything beautiful when he takes picture to which he laughed a bit as he spoke " I definitely will, that's a promise," Henry the paused as he took a breath before speaking again " but I warned you that I don't offended take photos, I mostly read or... or playing the violin which always relaxes me."

Henry smiled before looking at Carolyn and speaking again " what about you Artist, do you have any hobbies beside art?" Henry tried to stay in the moment but it was hard as others thoughts started to enter and form with in his mind.

“Aww…those are cute,” Carolyn nodded when Henry mentioned the red mackerel tabby. “Then again, I think all cats are cute,” she chuckled quietly. Actually, she thought the same about most animals with very few exceptions. “I really hope you’ll get one soon.” She added sincerely. She knew how hard it was to wait until you got one. It was pure torture.

" I definitely will, that's a promise," The young witch couldn’t help but smile at that. The beginning of school year wasn’t very kind to her but perhaps, future had some better times in store for her after all. “You play violin?” Carolyn perked up when Henry mentioned his hobby. Truthfully speaking, playing instruments was one thing she could never quite figure out. She could play piano but her skill was extremely average and it required a lot of effort. She was just not natural at it. “Shouldn’t I call you Maestro instead of photographer then?” She asked playfully.

“I do actually have another hobby myself. Equally as important as art…maybe more.” This was also why she got so excited about him playing the violin. “I do ballet,” Carolyn revealed finally. “Ballroom is practically my second home here,” she admitted with a smile. “Shame, we didn’t meet earlier, I missed the music terribly during my first year here. I didn’t bring any with me and had to practice in silence, which can be done but it always felt like something was missing.” Thankfully, she did bring a gramophone record his time. “What kind of music do you play?” Carolyn asked curiously. “Think, maybe you could play for me sometime while I dance?” She offered shyly. She definitely wouldn’t pressure him if he didn’t want to. After all, not everybody wanted to display their talents. Still, it seemed like a nice idea and it was definitely worth a try.

After Henry mention that he plays violin that seemed to spark some new conversation with Carolyn as she talked about that and how she does ballet, when she finished however she asked if he could play for her as she danced for sometime
Henry smiled at her as he spoke " I'll love to play for your dancing, just send owl. And should I call you dancer instead of Artist then since you do ballet?" Henry paused to take a breath before continuing " how long have you been doing ballet, and if I play for you then do I get to see you dance because I would like to?"

Henry then smiled at her again as he spoke about this violin this time " I play mostly classic, contemporary, and a mix of pop among other things. I also know piano and can sing to, thanks to my father. He made or had my twin and I learn some instrument plus voice when we were younger," Henry flinched at mentioning his father as that was the last thing he wanted to do before continuing " my twins plays the guitar and flute, maybe I could teach you the violin or piano sometime and in exchange you can show me some ballet?" Henry laughed at his question as he became more relax as he talked with Carolyn then he was before.

" I'll love to play for your dancing, just send owl. And should I call you dancer instead of Artist then since you do ballet?" Carolyn had to think about the question for a moment. “How about ballerina? My parents sometimes call me that so I’m kind of used to it already,” she smiled at the boy. She was strangely excited that he agreed to play for her. Usually, she was not interested in showing someone her art and preferred drawing alone but ballet was meant to be shown and she was quite confident in her skills. Sure, she was no where near perfect but she was still learning. “I started attending lessons when I was four. So it’s now officially eight years of me trying to look at least somewhat graceful,” she joked. It was true however, that ballet has made Carolyn's movement somewhat more elegant. It was quite obvious from the way she carried herself. And she was also far stronger than it looked.

“What about you? When did you start learning to play the violin, Maestro?” Carolyn asked with a grin. There was a moment when Henry didn’t look too happy, speaking about his father and she figured he might be the source of the boy’s bad mood but she didn’t want to assume anything. Also he didn’t seem to want to talk about it so she just pretended not to notice. “It seems like you have a great talent when it comes to music. I truly envy that. I hear it perfectly because I have to follow the rhythm when dancing but creating it is a problem. I can also sing a little but it is definitely not a stage material,” she said honestly. It was okay though, she could not be good at everything and this way they could combine their strengths and create something amazing. “I can’t wait to try. You can watch of course. I mostly do classical ballet but I have experimented with contemporary too. I’m sure we will be able to harmonise somehow,” she suggested with a smile. “Looks like we are both creative enough to do so.”

" Ballerina it is Artist and your definitely graceful," Henry replied to Carolyn while laughing a bit as Carolyn continued to speak and ask when he started to play violin before adding in that they both would probably make some amazing together to which Henry replied " I started playing when I was 5, along with my twin. My father wanted us to know how to play some instruments plus sing. Mostly since he had to since he's from a bloody awful pureblood family," Henry felt his blood boil as he spoke about his father and his father's family, both of those topics were the last that he wanted to talk about as he hoped that Carolyn didn't notice, Henry quickly took a breath and calm himself down before speaking again.

" Were both more then creative enough to do so, were probably create something amazing," Henry spoke before remembering that talent show at Hogwarts last year and how frightened and nervous he was about it that he couldn't participate but he did change from last year as he spoke " maybe if they do that talent show like last again this year then maybe we can audition together since we're both talented and amazingly creative." Henry smiled at her as he laughed a bit and couldn't believe those words came from his mouth.

It appeared Carolyn was on a compliment streak today. She was extremely grateful to Henry for making her mood at least a bit better. She didn’t become instantly happy but she felt at least somewhat lighter. Mordred apparently, was done playing now and came to nuzzle her leg. Carolyn smiled at her pet while listening to the Slytherin boy. It appeared he started learning violin very early too but unlike her, it was not a very happy memory. “Yeah…I do have to agree with you on that one,” she sighed when Henry mentioned the pure-blood family issue. She truly hoped it didn’t sound offensive and she didn’t dive deeper into the issue since they both weren’t ready to share their feelings but that was precisely what ruined her summer too. “I bet you are really good though and it seems like you enjoy it?” She questioned curiously. It would be horrible if he had to learn something he hated for seven long years.

Thankfully, the conversation didn’t stay sour for more than a moment as Henry came up with a brilliant idea. “Oh, I would love that,” Carolyn said with a smile when he mentioned the Hogwarts talent show. “Truthfully, I was thinking of going too but I didn’t have the music at the time and didn’t know anyone who could play anything.” She was also not brave enough to ask some random strangers if they would help her. “It would be great if they did it again.” Carolyn was shy to show her talents most of the time but ballet had brought her on stage several times already so she was kind of used to that. Not to mention she could meet some other talented people there. “We would probably have to meet and practice though. Would you have time for that?” She asked, hoping the answer was yes. Still, she wanted to make sure. Maybe he didn’t realize that was necessary when he suggested it. If he picked a song that he already knew, it could be quite easy for him but she needed to come up with a choreography and hear him play in order to make it work. Of course there was no reason to overdo it, after all it was just for fun but she also didn’t want make fool of herself in front of other students. She would have to buy an invisibility cloak and wear it for the rest of her studies at Hogwarts if that happened.

" if course, I would love to practice with you and who knows we might even win if we combine our talents," Henry heard himself answer to Carolyn's question which was if he could practiced with her if they would sign up for the Hogwarts talent show. Henry now really hoped they did it again because he was too awkward and nervous last year to perform but now if he had a friend like Carolyn by his side then he would be fine and who knows maybe they could win, they definitely had a shot at winning since they were both creative and like what they did.

Henry looked back at Caroly as he watched her cat rub on her legs. Henry smiled at him and bended down and put his hand out to Mordred so he could touch him. Once Mordred allows him to touch him, Henry would starched him behind the ears while looking at Carolyn before saying again " let's meet in the rehearsal room later and we can perform for each other," Henry the paused and smiled as he spoke again " what's your free hour or uh period? We can meet during your free period tomorrow to practiced or show each other our music? It's up to you, whatever you like?"

Henry was being quite optimistic about the competition and Carolyn couldn’t help but feel some hope as well. “You know what? I think so too. Hopefully we will have a chance.” She didn’t doubt for a second that there were many other talented students at Hogwarts but who knows…maybe they really had a chance. “Let’s wait and see if it’s going to happen or not. And even if it doesn’t I’m sure we will have fun practising at least.” She said with a smile.

Henry then bent down to spoil Mordred a little bit while making some plans about their mentioned practice. She was glad he was so interested. "Sounds great!" Carolyn answered excitedly. She was a bit nervous but she was also looking forward to it. "I think my free period starts at three. You can come then or join me couple minutes later. I need to stretch first, which is probably not going to be very interesting." She said honestly. "Unless you want to. You can still practice while I do my stretching routine. I don't mind either way," the witch gave Henry some options while he scratched her furry friend. “I think we should show each other first so we get to see our skills and then we can try and combine them. If we don’t have enough time, we can always meet there again, right?” She asked with a gentle smile.
