Alec only noticed the girl when Wyatt practically jumped up to confront this random girl about laughing..
And what she heard. He was really freaking out. Maybe Alec had taken it too far. One wrong doesn't make a right, but sometimes a wrong sounds so much better than a right. While Alec's revenge ideas were still up in the air, Alec decided he was the one who should've been apologizing at this moment. Just because he goes and says something you told him not to say doesn't mean you go and say something that you know would be considered 'blackmail' on him. Lesson learned, hopefully. Apologizing to Wyatt would come later, though. Now, making him stay outside for the night sounded the least harmful.
Give the kid a blanket, and a pillow, then tell him to deal with the cold if it get's too cold because he's so used to treating people like that, anyway. Alec's revenge ideas were usually never brought to life, so it didn't really matter, no matter what crazy thing he decided to dream up. Alec glanced over at Clifton, offering him a small smile, before whispering "Sorry.." to him. Clifton deserved an apology, too. Alec didn't have to escalate things, and if he hadn't maybe this outing would've gone better. Hopefully it wasn't completely ruined though? Surely it's quite daft to think just because of something 'silly' like this that it would ruin the whole outing. Alec then straightened his posture, walking over to the two.
[Wyatt and Cricket]
His gaze settling on the girl, as he realized this was probably someone Wyatt knew. Quite rude to not invite her than is it? "Join us for Ice-cream will you? It'd be rude not to invite a friend of Wyatt's" Alec said that small smile still in place as Alec realized he had no idea why he was doing this. He'd done enough as it is already, it's not like he needed to do anything else, he'd pretty clearly gotten the point across to Wyatt. But it seems the part of Alec who wasn't thinking things through made this action.

Cricket heard some rustling from behind, and before she could make out what was making that sound, she felt a warm breath tingling her neck. "What did you hear? Because I can tell you, it’s a lie. A joke. Something stupid that doesn’t matter so you should just forget it right now." She didn't know whether or not to believe what Wyatt told her, because, after all, the was Wyatt Starkey. This was the boy she had hit because he was being mean. How could a boy as despicable as himself have a tea party with a small child? Yet, she noticed the small boy was speaking with pride and justice, so she really had no idea what to believe.
"He's right, I wouldn't worry about it," the young lion heard a different voice coming from behind her. She turned around to uncover the boy she had never seen. "But I wouldn't walk much closer either, I think there's a gas leak." The girl's face changed from looking worried to a face of disbelief. She leaned against the window, crossed her arms, and shook her head while slightly rolling her eyes. "There's definitely a gas leak, that's why you boys are sitting over there. To get caught by the 'gas leak,'" Cricket make little quotation marks with her hands, "I don't think there's any gas in Diagon Alley, so I assume you don't want my company." That last bit of words that came out of her mouth hurt her the slightest amount.
"Join us for Ice-cream will you? It'd be rude not to invite a friend of Wyatt's," the short boy had approached her wearing a kind smile. Was that sincere? She thought of saying that out loud, but preferred not to. Cricket fidgeted around with the edge of her sweater. She didn't want to barge in on their friendly meeting, but she didn't want to be alone either.
"I wouldn't exactly say friends is what Wyatt and I are. If it's alright with you, I'd like to take you up on that offer, thank you," she said with a warm grin. "Oh and Wyatt, keep your words to yourself, you don't want to get slapped again, now do you?"

"I wouldn't exactly say friends is what Wyatt and I are. If it's alright with you, I'd like to take you up on that offer, thank you." Was she being serious? This was slowly becoming one of the worst days of his life. Did Alec know about Cricket? Did he ask Cricket to come to Diagon Alley just to make fun of him? What is happening? Wyatt’s paranoia skyrocketed in just under three seconds. “It’s actually not alright-”
But Mercury cut him off. "Oh and Wyatt, keep your words to yourself, you don't want to get slapped again, now do you?" She didn’t- did she? She did. She definitely did. Wyatt couldn’t do anything about what was happening. What was he going to do, slap Mercury? Not in a million years. He’d never stoop down to her (or his dad’s) level. “I hate everything about this,” he muttered. Making sure it was known how he felt.
How was this girl with the kindest, warmest smile such a monster? I guess we all wear masks, Wyatt concluded. He decided he was going to be as quiet as he could for the rest of the day, desperate to avoid any more embarrassment, or worse, another slap to the face. That he could go without. After a few seconds of being quiet, he came to realize how difficult it was to keep silent all the time. It was hell.
He needed to say so much but he was going to be slapped or humiliated, and Alec had a lot of dirt on Wyatt. Maybe too much. All this thinking really made Wyatt understand how much of an idiot he was. Why would he voluntarily give Alec blackmail? He should’ve known this would happen! But it’s fine… Cricket wouldn’t slap him again, right? But she would, wouldn’t she. Wyatt didn’t know her well enough.

Been A While
So far, this is what Clifton had puzzled out:Meeting up with @Alec Mason @Wyatt Starkey @Cricket Mercury, and @Kate Elm
- Alec had, probably for good reason, left a thing or two out of the owls he'd sent.
- His friend's guess at who the girl was was as good as his own.
- Whoever she was, her and Wyatt were basically enemies.
- His joke to make her feel more comfortable had fallen flat on its face.
- Wyatt was not having a good day.
- This place had some weird ice cream flavors.
Clifton couldn't quite decide whether he should introduce himself to the girl or find some way to make sure this Wyatt kid was okay. The Slytherin boy had suddenly gone quiet. The heavy sort of quiet that was put there on purpose. Like a wall. Clifton wanted to say something, but got the impression that attention was the last thing the kid wanted right now. Still. Wyatt’s defeated, dark expression worried him.
Maybe it was better to not get involved at all and just ask what in galloping gargoyles 'Earl Grey and Lavender' was supposed to taste like. Or he could just sit back and watch the drama continue to unfold. Only, he wasn’t much for being on the sidelines.
"Clifton, by the way,"he finally decided, smiling at the girl. He wasn’t entirely sure of her after she’d essentially told Wyatt to shove it. But she'd seemed nice enough before that so, without the facts, he opted for being friendly. "Sorry, I didn’t mean to sound rude. I was only joking that this is the crazy table. You're more than welcome to join us if you want though."
So long as no one started hitting each other. Call him a Hufflepuff, but that wasn’t really his idea of a good time.
“That's Alec, by the way. And, well I guess you already know Wyatt,” Then, eager to steer the topic away from blackmail and past fights, Clifton asked: “What brings you to Diagon Alley?”

Cricket found out that the short boy's name was Alec and the other boy's name was Clifton. "What brings you to Diagon Alley?" Asked Clifton. The young lion wasn't entirely sure whether to tell the full story, or to just keep it simple. "It was either staying at Diagon Alley or meeting my Aunt Robin and my bloody cousins at a park. And let's just say Aunt Robin and I aren't the best of friends. " she replied. "I assume you all came together," she started. Cricket scanned over the boys, noticing their features and how they acted towards each other, "but some of you don't seem like friends."
You could tell that Alec and Wyatt despised each other. Clifton and Alec looked like friends, yet Clifton seemed scared of Wyatt. Cricket had so many questions for them, so many things she was wondering about, but she decided not to say anything, as it was always best for her to keep her nose out of everybody's business. She looked down at the floor and started fidgeting with the ends of her sweater like she always would when she didn't know what to say.
"Oh er- right. My name is Mer-" she stopped midway through her sentence. Maybe if you start with your first name, you could actually make some friends, she said to herself. "Cricket. My name is Cricket. M-Mercury," she decided to throw in. "Pleasure to meet you."
