What a start of the first round! The Quaffle barely left the referee's hands as he threw it in the air or Greta managed to obtain it leaving the Huffles far behind her she shot forward towards the Huffle goalposts. During the second round Annie Morgan managed to grib the Quaffle out of Romeo's hands with the help of her co-captain Aaron Jones. What an amazing teamwork! In the third round Romeo was prepared for the assault of the opposing chasers. Nimbly evading their assaults this time he managed to stand face to face with the opposing keeper, Willow Anderson. Whilst all of this was going on Espen aimed his broom at a terrifyingly tall student. With as much speed as she could muster she braced herself for impact. With a sickening thud that would leave Espen not only a bit drousy, but forcing all the air out of Quinn Healy's lungs she managed to throw him off of his broom! Luckily for the Hufflepuff Captain, Serena Bowen nimbly caught the ridiculously tall badger on her broom. The referee blew his whistle as he called out to Espen: "FOUL! A lap around the stadium for Espen Kvalheim!". Simultaniously Hanzo noticed that Durmstrangs last seeker was falling towards its doom. Thanks to his lightning fast reflexes he too managed to save a teammate.

Durmstrang:
Romeo Marchonné: Score Attempt: [d20: 13] + 11 = 24 [GOAL]
Results:
Another chance for Willow Anderson to proof her worth. To proof that she was in fact more then Greta's match. The Hufflepuff keeper was giving her all this round as she strained herself and manoevered inside the goalposts she was ready. As hard as Willow tried to defend the goalposts it was to no avail. Greta simply managed to score. A point for Durmstrang! The second time around the Huffles had managed to claim the Quaffle and without any effort at all Annie Morgan managed to score a point for their house. The third time Romeo was sure he could live up to Greta's formidable skill. Willow was determined, however, to not let another keeper best her. The match simply did not seem to be in Willow's favor as she tried to stand inside of the hoops Romeo too managed to score. To make matters worse the referee blew his whistle: "FOUL! A lap around the stadium for Willow Anderson!".
Beaters
Hufflepuff:
Saskia Nicholson: Bludger Backbeat [d20: 14] + 16 = 30 - 1 = 29 [HIT]
Ella Forsberg: Evasion Check [d20: 10] + 8 = 18
Quinn Healy: Defending
Durmstrang:
Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich Preobrazhensky: Bludger Backbeat [d20: 19] + 18 = 37 [HIT]
Serena Towers: Evasion Check [d20: 6] + 13 = 19
Serena Towers: Evasive Maneuvers (1-10 = autododge) [d100: 88] [FAIL]
Kolya Mikhailov: Bludger Backbeat [d20: 17] + 18 = 35 [HIT]
Serena Towers: Evasion Check [d20: 12] + 13 = 25
Serena Towers: Evasive Maneuvers (1-10 = autododge) [d100: 6] [SUCCESS]
Kolya Mikhailov: Calming Presence (1-10 = autohit) [d100: 73]
Hufflepuff Damage:
Saskia Nicholson:
50 x 10 = 500 damage dealt to Ella.
Ella Forsberg:
300 - 500 = -200 [Knocked off broom]
Durmstrang Damage:
Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich Preobrazhensky:
50 x 10 = 500 damage dealt to Serena.
Serena Towers:
1000 - 500 = 500
Results:
As Espen closed the distance to knock off none other then the formidable opposing seeker, Serena Towers, a sudden hulking figure doomed up out of nowhere that could only be described as a divine intervention. One that would leave Espen with a sore shoulder and leave Quinn Healy breathless as he tumbled to the ground before nimbly landing on Serena Bowen's broom. While this happened Saskia Nicholson handed out a devastating blow. Not only to the Durmstrang team as a whole, but specifically to Durmstrang's seeker Ella. Saskia cleanly knocked Ella off her broom with a bludger backbeat. Luckily for her Hanzo spotted what Hufflepuff was trying to do and intervened just in time to stop Ella's descend. However, dire the situation looked Durmstrang's beaters were going to stop Hufflepuff's team. Vyacheslav hit as hard as humanly possible with his bludger at Serena Towers. How the tiny Part-Goblin managed to hold on to her broom was a wonder at this point. Durmstrang's second beater, Kolya, followed her teammate's example, but missed the Part-Goblin by a hair.
Seekers
Hufflepuff:
Snitch DC: 27 + 2 = 29
Serena Towers: Search [d20: 17] + 14 = 31 + 1 = 32 [SUCCESS]
Durmstrang:
Snitch DC: 27
Ella Forsberg: Search [d20: 9] + 12 = 21 [Fail!]
Results:
Durmstrang's Seeker just didn't seem to get any luck or chance as the Hufflepuff team ruthlessly managed to beat one Seeker after the other of their flying broomsticks. Ella was way to distracted to even find a trace of the Snitch, but who could blame her after getting hit with a bludger you'll thank the stars you don't have any permanent damage. Serena Towers however did catch a break! This time around she managed to find the snitch!
Scoreboard
Hufflepuff: 20
Durmstrang: 60
OOC Note:
I'd like to take a moment here to explain what happened. Hufflepuff got a -1 on all Accuracy based roles in this match. This is due to the effect of the Charmer ability: Effect: -1 accuracy to all of your opponents (as defined at the start of the instance regardless of later betrayal).
A closer look at the Hufflepuff Keeper: Willow Anderson. You can see I calculated something for her. Due to the new patch for Quidditch there is a whole new cheating system designed. Willow chose to use a foul move. I calculated if the referee would notice this foul or not. This I did by using the average wisdom of the Durmstrang team, divided by the players. To this result I add another +15. (50 : 7 = 7 + 15 = 22)
Now continuing on for the Seekers. Here I calculated the DC to find the Snitch according to the new patch: DC = 15 + lowest seeker wisdom. Ella has the lowest wisdom which is 12. Thus meaning the DC to find the Snitch = 15 + 12 = 27. However, for Serena is the DC to find the Snitch raised with an extra +2. This results for Serena in Snitch DC = 27 + 2 = 29. This is due to the effect of the Lovely Creature ability: Effect: You are very distracting to look at. This increases the Control DC of spells in duels and adventures by +2 as well as the DC for finding things in adventures or the DC for finding the snitch in a game of Quidditch.
Of note: The Lovely Creature ability in Quidditch matches only affects the snitch search DC for the opponent team.
If anything else is unclear feel free to reach out to me via owl or DM!

This was not how Illian had imagined how Durmstrang would do things. Instead of knocking this win out of the stadium they had gotten a trainwreck of results. The only thing that did seem to go their way was their ability to score with the Quaffle. Not all was lost and Illian hoped with every fiber of his body that they would manage to turn things around and hopefully start getting things done. He hoped he would be able to play at some point as he was more then ready to show those badgers what Durmstrang was made of.

Oh Sweet Anticipation
Her brown eyes search the skies as quickly as they could. It was only a matter of time before they came for her, she knew that. Everyone knew that. Serena's eyes fell onto the crowd around. Familiar faces of Hogwarts students cheering them, on a few friends dotted between the crowd. Her breathe was shaky. This would not be easy. There was a lot of pressure on them. They were against such a formidable opponent. No one thought this would be easy. Hell, Serena could see them dominating the game - scoring goals left, right and centre without a moment's hesitation.
Spotting the new seeker on the field, Serena smiled a little as she recognised the familiar face of pretty much the only friendly Durmstrang student she had met at the BBQ. Ella was definitely the sweetest of the lot. She had no idea that they were both seekers as their interaction was far too brief but Ella was nice!
"Fu-" She started as she saw the opposing team's chaser come at her. Luckily, her captain was one step ahead, positioned to defend her, "Quinn, shit!" She cursed as she watched Quinn swoop in to take the hit, suffering a knock off his broom. The Hufflepuff went to dive, hoping to catch him - though she had no idea how they would both fit on the broom - but the other Serena managed to get there first, luckily.
Before she really had a chance to think or do anything, she felt the wind getting knocked out of her. The sound itself was deafening. The ache surged through her body as the bludger connected to her body. Her hands instantly gripped onto the handle of her broom, holding onto it as though her life depended on it - and quite honestly, it probably did. Serena coughed vigorously as the bludger whacked her hard. It was painful. Serena groaned, panting audibly as she held on for dear life. It hurt. Everything hurt. It took all of her concentration to just hold onto her broom, every fibre of strength clutching to the handle trying to regain some control over her body.
It was perhaps lucky that she was receiving a Durmstrang beater's bludger and not on the receiving end of Quinn's. She could not even begin to imagine the pain that the poor other seeker from earlier had felt. The four foot ten girl leaned forward, coughing suddenly again as she tried to regain control of herself. It had literally knocked the wind out of her. As her head bopped forward, the second bludger zoomed past her. She could feel the wind from the force of it as it passed by so narrowly. Her eyes widened as she looked up, staring at it. That was... way too close. That bludger almost destroyed her. Had it hit, there was no chance she would have held on.
Gosh, she was getting exhausted. Looking up, she spotted Ella again - what a lovely bean - and winced slightly as she saw the bludger Saskia hit towards her knock her right off her own broom. It was hard being a seeker... Everyone came at you like they hated you. She felt bad but she also knew she had no time to waste herself. Durmstrang had started this game of cat and mouse. They were coming for her and this was, after all, a competition. Serena's breathe was audible, as she tried to recompose herself, finding balance and preparing for the worst. They were not going to let up, she knew that.
There.
She spotted it. She had no idea how. Diving around, trying to dodge the chaos that happened around her, she had somehow seen it in the distance. That elusive golden snitch. Welp. It was the reason that Durmstrang considered her a threat from the start of the match. Definitely the most intense game she had played to date, and in a stadium such as this...
The hell was just beginning. Her eyes stayed focus on the snitch, trying not to lose track of it. But she had no doubt that she would have to keep one eye out for more attacks. They were coming... It was just a matter of time before she fell from the broom. Everyone in the stadium knew that. Gripping the handle of the broom more, the dread filling her. She was not sure if she could take another hit. Her body was aching from the last one. Definitely bruised but likely also experiencing some bone or muscle damage from the sheer impact of the iron bludger connecting with her body. She was pretty sure she heard her brother's familiar voice cheering it too... She might not have but... she would not have been surprised if he did.
It was exhausting trying to play the game whilst watching out for all of the attacks. The bludgers hurt physically. But the blatches they had sent her way before? They hurt more. The thought of people going out of their way to cheat just to cause her to plummet to the ground... It was not a good feeling. No matter how many times she experienced it - this was certainly not the first game that this had happened in - she would never get used to it.
Serena made a mental note to herself. Next time, play any position that isn't a seeker...

Yefim couldn’t possibly be more on the edge of his seat. Well, he was never sitting down, but that wasn’t the point. With the game heating up as the points continued to tally, Yefim slowly started to become remarkably silent. The loud, brutish cheerleader instead watched while holding his breath, the gummi worms in his hand being squeezed tightly to form one single gummi mass.
He dramatically gasped when their second-string seeker Ella got pummeled, even though Captain Hanzo was there to catch her. Of course Greta was still scoring, as was Romeo, but the stupid Huffles got one more point themselves. And realistically, even with them all trying to murder her off her broom, their seeker was still on the field. If this team had made it to the finals, it was probably because of her.
He would like to show her a nice close image of his knuckles after the game! Not because she deserved it, but because she was annnoooyyyiiinnnnngggggg and he needed someone to pay for all the frustration she was causing him! FALL TO THE GROUND ALREADY YOU PIPSQUEAK! He wished he was up there blatching her himself.

There was only so much pleasure one could allow themselves to feel in the midst of a competitive environment.
However, the Durmstrang Captain could do nothing to stifle the unmistakable rush of euphoria that shook his small form, nor could he hide the radiant grin that slowly spread itself across his face like a contagious disease, the result of the sweet revenge dealt to Quinn Healy only moments prior. To be honest, Hanzo couldn’t remember the last time he’d felt this sense of childish pettiness – part of him felt disgusted by his ill demeanor towards the other team, as if he should have shared some semblance of sympathy for the other captain… yet, Hufflepuffs hadn’t sympathized when they’d taken Schnell, now, had they? Yeah, that was right – no mercy could be extended to the other team now that they had lost their beloved first-string seeker. It was fickle, because in a way, their incapacitated teammate was still playing in the game… his spirit, in the least, coaxed the Norwegian player on, his state of health a burning reminder in the back of the boy’s consciousness of what it meant to lose. Schnell was a martyr. This game… they needed to win. For him.
Which meant he needed to catch Ella, didn’t he?
It was then, that he would properly realize what his subconscious was telling him – his eyes flickered over to the falling form of a rather familiar face, his mouth gaping open in slight shock as his mind raced to comprehend what he was seeing. Ella had been knocked this early?! Oh, fuck, he needed to go fix that problem. Making a quick plan, he wasted no time in banking to the right, training his eyes on his target and flicking the tail-end of his broom outwards, effectively catching the lovely seeker. Jesus, Hanzo wasn’t good with girls. He would awkwardly look behind himself, in fact, flashing her a quick smile as to see if she was okay. “That was a close one, was it not?” he asked her amicably, almost a wry tone about him as he raised an eyebrow. A ploy to cover his own racing heart. “Couldn’t let you fall, now. You’re our last hope!” It was all he would be able to get out, before turning, his eyes scanning the field. Reading for oncoming bludgers, openings to fly. “Keep your eye out for that snitch… don’t fall…”
He would keep his lips sealed to additional words, careful to not let slip anything he didn’t want her to hear. Because the truth was, a plan was cooking within his brain, a plan he didn’t want her to hear…

Annie's heart raced. Another round against the Durmstrang team which seemed to get more and more unpredictable after each round. Not to mention sneaky. She heard the shape whistle snapping her out of her thoughts. Aaron and her were side by side when the quaffles were released. Managing to get ahold on one of them she raced towards Durmstrang's goal but their keeper was no where to be found? Without hesitation she sent the quaffles soaring through a hoop and a small smile made it on her face.
Shouldn't she be more excited? It was her first goal of the season but it felt almost pitiful. Her own teammate had to help her get ahold of it since that one chaser of theirs seemed to be very good at what they were doing. Not to mention the hoops were wide open. Annie was secretly fuming as her grip tightened on the broom handle.
A few penalty laps were called, one being for their own keeper and Annie gave her a small nod of encouragement. If she thought she was having a rough day Willow must've been down in the dumps. The outcome wasn't looking so good for their team but then their miracle worker of a seeker, Serena, got eyes on the snitch's location.
"Way to go girl you've got this, Quinn I swear on all that's good you better protect her and win it for this team!" Her blood was boiling as she whooped and yelled at her teammates across the field whether they could hear her or not maybe, just maybe they could pull out a show stopping win.
Either that or next round was king to be.. eventful.

@Evelynn Decipio as Greta, @Willow Anderson... Let's-a-go!This game was already coming to its climax. It wouldn't be long until a winner was decided. When they were, I would be there on the podium with my rightful team. It seemed that we weren't having much luck except in the Quaffle department. Greta zoomed by me, Quaffle in hand, ignoring the crush attempt between two Hufflepuff players. With a failed Flacking attempt by their Keeper, another 10 points went to us.
Now it was my turn, and while Greta had almost snagged the ball, I touched it first, denying the other team. Now it was my turn to be crushed, and despite my natural stalwartness, I had to let out a huff as the ball slipped from my fingers, resulting in an even score for both sides. Now I was enraged.
Kicking myself into high gear, I zoomed for the leather ball, snatching it in both hands, nearly shoving the Hufflepuff players aside to prevent their sandwich and came towards the Puff Keeper guns blazing, my eyes seeming to exude blue fire. Flacking or no, there was no stopping a Keeper unhinged. With a powerful throw, putting my entire weight and considerable strength behind it, I feinted once, twice, and then powered the ball through a hoop. Another 10 for Durmstrang.
Let's get this over with.

Writing as Vyacheslav PreobrazhenskyGoals continued to be scored, one by Greta, one by Romeo, and one by the other team. One goal by the Hogwarts team didn't matter, as Durmstrang was still in the lead. Espen had managed to knock that tall Beater off of his broom, but he was just caught by another teammate. You got lucky this time. Meanwhile, Durmstrang's remaining Seeker was hit with a bludger by that girl Slava had seen at the BBQ at the start of the month. She was the one his brother had suggested that he talk to, but now Slava could see that she was dangerous. Both of the Hogwarts Beaters seemed to be doing very well, with more success than he had had in the match so far. Luckily, Hanzo had managed to catch Ella, but it still wasn't looking good. They had taken Schnell out and almost got Ella, too.
He would have felt bad for what he was doing if it wasn't for that. His bludger had slammed into the Seeker, seemingly taking the breath away from her, but that and some pain was all it seemed to cause. How was she still hanging on? Truthfully, Slava didn't want her to be hurt. Yes, he was whacking balls of iron at her, but he knew that the medics were also very good and any wounds could be easily healed. It would be better if she just went down. He was mildly annoyed at himself for making the connection twice but not being able to take her or that other Beater out of the sky. Either they were really tough, or he had some more strength training to do. Probably a bit of both. Nevertheless, he wasn't going to give up, definitely not. He readied himself for the next move.Action: Doing as strategisedStatistics:

This time he and Slava decided to use the backbeat attack on the Hufflepuff seeker. His Beater finally was able to hit a Buldger at that girt but the damage wasn't big enough to knock her off the broom. And to Kolya's frustration, once again, this girl managed to evade his hit. DAMMIT!! Kolya cursed in his mind, glaring at the Hufflepuff seeker with rage. It wasn't that he was bad at aiming, that girl was just too lucky at the moment. Kolya knew if he could hit her with the Buldger, there was no doubt that she would be knocked off and her broom would be destroyed by his strength.
The Hogwarts team might rely on their seeker getting the Golden Snitch as soon as possible at this point, he really disliked people who rely on luck but it did count as an ability to win a game if you had luck at all. Kolya wouldn't let a few failed attempts to ruin his spirit, quite the opposite, it made him even more determined and he certainly would not give up. His father once told him, the moment you give up, you would lose everything.
