She kind of shrugged about falling from the broom. “I used to play quidditch, and we couldn’t have fallen more than forty feet. The venom was the worst part, really.” Thirty-eight to be exact, but the precise number was just semantics at that point. If it wasn’t for the venom, she wouldn’t have had to get on the broom anyway, could have walked herself back to the castle, but what was done was done.

He was correct; she wouldn’t have been there if he didn’t ask her to take photographs, but she wasn’t going to tell him that. Not now, he was clearly feeling enough guilt as it was. Besides, if he hadn’t invited her there to take photos, she wouldn’t have had a chance meeting that, in the future, would prove to possibly be fruitful. “While it was not the best idea to hold a party after the staff canceled it, you could not have predicted the mosps. It is as simple as that. People still had fun, and I have photographic proof of that. You are more than forgiven, Aaron.”

Perhaps in the future, she would even thank him for inviting her, but that would remain to be seen for now. She levied him with a stern gaze as she spoke next. “Anyone besides the professors who try to make you feel guilty about it is trash people. We all knew the risks upon showing up to an event with no professors. We knew the risks, and we came anyway. That is on each of our own individual people. Not you.”

Santario used to play Quidditch? The revelation made Aaron instinctively smile, wanting to ask what position she had played and why she had stopped. But the smile slowly disappeared as he realized now was not the time nor the place, his eyes once again taking in the hospital bed.

"Thanks for your forgiveness," Aaron said, mustering up a smaller smile. "Maybe we can look back at the film sometime and it really will show the people having a good time," he agreed, trying to be more positive for her sake. He felt bad that she seemed to be trying to cheer him up when it was his fault in the first place. He nodded along with her words though, understanding the sentiment about not beating himself up. He wasn't sure if he would be able to help it, though. She made a fair point about everyone knowing the risks and attending anyway, but as one of the organizers he still carried a fair bit of the responsibility. It was at this moment that he saw the nurse in the corner of the room giving him a look. It could've just been a glance at him, but he decided to take it as a sign that he should leave Santario to rest.

Aaron got to his feet and looked back at San, making eye contact again as he offered one last grin. "I am sorry this happened," he reiterated. "And thanks for the pep talk! It means a lot," Aaron looked towards the nurse again before bidding Santario goodbye and leaving the Hospital Wing.

Santario playfully rolled her eyes at Aaron “Try not to beat yourself up too much about it, Aaron, seriously. I know it seems like it is the end of the world right now, but I promise you that to will get better! So go enjoy your day, I’ll be out of here before you know it.” She smiled at Aaron and waited for him to head out before she yawned and stretched. The day's social interaction had drained her more than she had realized it would, but the nurse had warned her that it would.

After Aaron left, the nurse came up to her with another dose of medication for her head. It was to be the last dose, and her last two days would just be observation. Santario reached behind her and fluffed up her pillow and scooted down, pulling the covers up to her chin. Santario adjusted her hair to all lay above her on her pillow so that she wasn’t laying on it and slightly curled up. Sleep would come quicker than she expected for the time of the day that it was, and her sleep would start out as they always did. By being shoved into the closet by her mother, a finger pressed to her lips. “Stay quiet, no matter what my love…….”
