The Baird Manor sat in the countryside right outside of Perth Scotland and like most Pure-blood families, the house and grounds around it were extravagant and over the top. Rose bushes lined the sidewalks to the front of the house and a stained glass window with the family crest sat above the large white door. The house was surrounded by gardens. In the distance you could see another building and the distant sound of a horse neighing could be heard, that was the stables.
It was almost like any other day in the Baird Manor. The sound of screaming being the most prominent thing about the place. Two identical boys were screaming as they chased each other around the house, while in other areas around the house, mops and brooms were cleaning the floors wherever the boys had already been. A younger blonde women sat in the living room reading over a magazine as the smell of burnt food came from the kitchen, she had forgotten that she was making lunch. A small house elf scurried back and forth around the house, only glimpses of him appearing every now and then.
In the living room lay the older sister of the twins running around causing a ruckus. Said girl lay fast asleep on one of the many couches in the room. A book on advanced potions lay across her chest while multiple papers and books on charms and defense against the dark arts lay on the table and couch around her. The girl had tried to stay awake during her lessons that morning, but had somehow managed to fall asleep in the middle like it was nothing.
Hannah Baird, the aunt of Logan, was closest to the door, so whenever anyone knocked she was ready to answer and talk to whomever was there to talk to.

Elsian's day had been good so far. He hadn't slept in for once, had gotten the things he needed easily enough, and now was ready to go see Logan.
Or he would be, if Matilde stopped stalling her own responsibilities.
"I have to go now," he huffed, slipping his satchel bag over his head and plucking at the dark marron t-shirt he wore slightly eager to leave, "and you have to go meet dad!"
His auntie, the madwoman simply groaned pitifully. Draping herself over one of the larger sofas in the den like a woman scorned by the entirety of London. "Yes, yes, that opera. I can't believe you're abandoning me, do make sure to say nice things at my funeral dear." she sniffed, flipping long strands of ebony hair from her face.
"I promise," he droned, stepping into the large stone fireplace, "have fun with Dad and don't insult the actors too much."
Matilde fretted, quickly standing and shuffling over to the fireplace whilst dusting off her pants. A hand twisting Elsi around to look at her before roughly ruffling his hair with a smirk, "you brat, at least sound sincere."
"That is my sincere," he groaned, halfheartedly pushing away the others hands," goodbye auntie."
"Oh fine." she laughed, stepping away to pluck a box from the table. Opening it she offered it to him, "have fun Elsi."
He offered a small smile, scooping up some of the glittering powder with a nod. Closing his eyes he lifted up his hand.
"Baird Manor."
~
It was always odd the first time you went somewhere new via floo. At least, it was for him. Stepping away he dusted off his jeans of any extra dust, like usual not finding anything on the black fabric but unable to stop the urge. It was simple muscle memory at that point though, something that was harder to stop than just go along with as habit demanded.
Moving on he exited the space, eyeballing the sight of Baird Manor. It was pretty, lush and very nice and...could distantly hear screaming? Looking down his eyes followed the path leading ahead. She had said just to follow this one right?
"If all else fails, just follow the screaming I guess." he hummed, swiping his bangs away from his eyes whilst making his way down the path. Lo and behold, it was just as Logan said.
His eyes were drawn to the roses lining the way to the door, fragments of that story about...wonderland he believed, filling his head. It seemed like it should belong in a story, this type of place. Forcing his gaze away from the flowers he raised a hand to the door, knuckles rapping against the white surface before taking a step back.

Hannah Baird Speaking
Boys Speaking
Hannah Baird was prepared when she heard the distinct sound of the knock on the front door. "Oh, he's here!" the blonde flitted about as she quickly headed to open the door. Quickly, the blonde opened to door, the smell of burnt food wafting out of the house from the forgotten lunch.
"Oh, you must be Elsian!" Hannah Baird explained excitedly as she pulled the boy into a hug. It wasn't uncommon for random strangers to get hugs from said lady and this was no exception. "Logan has been speaking so much about you through letters and since she has gotten back. My name is Hannah. Please, please come in," Logan's aunt rushed out as she quickly ushered the boy into the house after releasing him from a hug.
Once in through the door, you could see one of the stair cases leading up into the second floor, along with a hallway lined with doors. "Please excuse the boys, they are always like this." she informed Elsian, the sound of screaming having only increased. Two identical boys came sliding down the stairs helmets on their heads and wooden spoons in their hands, acting as if they were knights fighting each other. The boys froze when the saw Elsian though and bowed.
"Hello sir Elsian, if you are looking for Lady Logan she is in the living room. That would be down that hallway and the large doors at the end." The boys spoke at the same time if having rehearsed those lines over and over again. They pointed down a short hallway to their right before taking off down the hallway to the left, a crash sounding soon after.
Hannah Baird smiled at the boy and nodded her head, "Yes, please go see Logan. She had lessons this morning so she is most likely finishing some stuff up." Having said that the blonde took off down the hallway that the boys had run down.
The boys hadn't lied when they said Logan was in the library, but she wasn't finishing her lessons like she was supposed to. Instead she was sound asleep on the couch, surrounded by piles of work she was supposed to completed.

Hearing the door open Elsian looked back up, eyes meeting the woman's with a small smile, "yes, hello-" he trailed off, words swept away when the woman, Hannah, pulled him into a hug. Ushering him inside in a way that he definitely wasn't used to from strangers.
"O-oh, I don't mind," he waved off easily, "thank you for having me." he offered, the words practically muscle memory for him as his gaze slipped from her to the two newcomers. Small smile twisting into a look of amusement he ran a hand through his hair, pushing some of the strands at bay while the two 'knights' slid down the railing in a blur of noise and speed.
Tilting his head slightly he simply nodded along to the boys words, eyes following as they sped off and giving a small wince at the sound of a crash that was easily missed as the woman scurried off just as quickly as she came.
Figuring he shouldn't make her wait he followed the others words and waltzed down said hallway until he reached the doors, letting himself in. Closing the door behind him he looked around, taking in the room with a small hum.
It didn't take long for his eyes to land on Logan, blinking in surprise at the piles of work and the very obviously asleep girl. He simply stared for a minute before walking up quietly, kneeling next to one of the piles atop the couch and skimming over the books around them. Studying indeed. This much work though was ridiculous! Still, the irony of this was not lost on him. Peering up at her from his crouched position he shook her gently, waiting a second before doing so again and only getting a small shift and mumble for his troubles.
"hmm..." standing up he moved behind the couch, leaning over her shoulder to peer down at her with a teasing smirk.
"Logan~" he cooed, finger poking her cheek, "You should get up now~ Or is this your way of saying I can take a nap?"

Logan mumbled and shifted in her sleep as she felt someone shaking her shoulders, assuming that it was only her brothers she ignored the shaking and continued to sleep. It wasn't until the person spoke and someone poked her cheek that everything registered in the young Hufflepuff's mind.
Logan's dark eyes snapped open as she quickly rolled over, squealing when she realized that she was on the couch. The brunette groaned as she rubbed her head and sat up slowly pulling a book out from under her from where she had landed.
"No, you can't nap," she muttered as she stood up and dusted herself off. She gently lay the book that had fallen asleep reading onto one of the piles on the table in front of the couch as she turned to Elsian and gave him a sleepy smile. Gently she brushed her temporary red tinted hair behind her shoulder as she walked around the couch and hugged the boy before pulling away. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep." The girl mumbled out, still attempting to wake herself up.
Logan attempted to straighten her hair out a little bit as she made sure she hadn't missed anything else whenever she had fallen asleep. Felling content that she hadn't, she turned back to the boy. "Welcome to Baird Manor. I can assume my aunt met you with a hug."
The Hufflepuff was used to her aunt's clingy habits at this point and chose just to ignore them at this point. She shook out her hair again before spreading her arms out to her sides. "This is the living room, we spend almost none of our time in here except for a few lessons." Logan decided that with her sleeping, they were probably a little late so she needed to start the tour of the house before they ate lunch.

Elsian grinned sharply at the other, snickering at the unladylike squeal his wake up call had earned him as she dragged a book out from under her. "Oh it's fine when you nap, but itslazy when I do." he teased, slightly leaning back as the other stood up.
The smirk faltered for a moment, twisting into a smaller smile as the other hugged him. A small pause before he hugged back, half bemused at the other grogginess. He couldn't remember the last time he'd been the one to wake someone else up, let alone been the most awake out of his friends. It was just unheard of. But honestly with all the books around them? It was kinda easy to see why she' fallen asleep, hadn't she just gotten back from that school trip? And already she was working again.
"I'd be asleep too, if I had to do that much work." he hummed, pointing at the stacks. "you wake up pretty fast though compared to me so I guess it's fine."
Shrugging at the other he smiled, "yeah, she did. Didn't really expect it, also met your brothers lady Logan," he teased brightly, "also, the red suits you~ Very brave, much courage my book carrying knight."
With her words he gave the room another look around, actually taking it in not unlike before his attention had been caught on Logan fast asleep. "Just lessons?" he hummed surprised, "I'm surprised, I'd have expected you and your brothers to have made this prime pillow fort territory with how they act."
Then again, he didn't know if they had better spots for things like that. Would make sense in a place like this though.
...Would a fort even last long though between the three? Somehow he had the horrible feeling it'd turn into a pillow war.

Logan grinned at Elsian as she shook her head with a laugh. "I can only assume that they were playing knight again. I bet Aunt Hannah is enjoying that very much," she sarcastically stated as she could finally hear her brothers screaming throughout the house. She thought of where next they should go as he complemented her hair. She was mad at her brothers since they had put it in her shampoo bottle, if they had just asked her to dye her hair she probably would have done it.
A giggle could be heard in the room as Elsian mentioned the pillow forts. "Oh, technically we are not allowed to have those anymore. But there are places in this house that we set up forts without Aunt Hannah or my father knowing. Kal helps out a lot with getting our stuff there without us getting caught." A grin was present on her face as she thought about the fights that they would always get into as they tried to decide whose fort was better. Those always ended in wars.
"We shall continue the tour," Logan stated as she swiftly opened the doors of the living room and walked out into the hallway. She pointed to the only other door in the hall not even stopping as she walked passed it. "That is a bathroom, nothing special," she stated as she quickly moved up the stairs in the main hall that her brothers had slid down earlier, she decided to save the kitchen and dining room for last as that is where they would be eating lunch.
"Our second floor consists of five rooms." Logan stated as she spun around and started to walk backwards down the hall on her tip toes, acting like , "My aunt's bedroom, my father's bedroom, both of my brothers bedroom, the library, and my father's study." She quickly spun around as she headed towards another set of large doors, similar to the ones that led to the living room.
A grin was present on her face as she spun to face Elsian and threw her arms out the the side. "Welcome to my favorite room of the house," she stated as turned around and walked into the library. One wall was lined with windows while all of the others were covered in bookshelves with ladders to get to some of the higher books. On one side of the room was a small spiral staircase that led to a second platform that also was lined with books. In the center of the room were a few couches.
"Just to inform you, this is one of the best rooms for napping," she grinned as she flopped down onto one of the couches. For once in her life, Logan was actually happy and it was just because someone actually wanted to be her friend.

"Oh yes, if the crash I heard is anything to go by I'm sure your aunt is having a wonderful time," he remarked dryly. A rather scandalized look replaced the smile on his face when she mentioned the fort rules, part of him wanting to be surprised at the news but simply hearing her brothers this first visit was quickly forcing him to realize just how crazy Logan's house life seemed to be.
"I don't even want to think about the trouble you three caused to get fort privilege's of all things taken away. I mean really, did you guys get into fist fights or something?" he questioned jokingly, not really expecting her to say yes. It was a ridiculous thought! He couldn't even picture it but then again, he didn't have siblings now did he? So... "you didn't right?" he asked, quickly padding after her when she swiftly moved to the hallway.
Following her lead he stretched his arms, crossing them behind his head as they walked along. Down the hallway, up the very stairs her brothers had come down in a whirlwind of energy and forwards to someplace new. He eyed Logan bemused, speeding up to fall in step just in front of her as she waltzed backwards on the tips of her toes. He hummed in question, just as she twirled away to show off said 'favorite place'.
Pausing for a moment he eyed the doorway with a mock seriousness, arms dropping from behind his head and up to his chin as he stepped forward. "So this," he hummed, twisting on his heel to give the library a once over whilst moving deeper into the room, "is the the best napping spot?"
Tilting his head towards Logan he took in her grin as she flopped down, a small grin of his own growing on his face. "9.5/10 very nice napping choice. You have a very bright future as a Ballerina tour guide." he clapped lazily, waltzing over to one of the couches across from where she'd rested to sit atop the edge with a forlorn look.
"Sadly you lost that .5 on account of showing me the best spot after saying no to napping. Very cruel of you lady Logan." he sighed, letting himself fall backwards to sprawl out atop the couch dramatically. One arm cradling his bag to his chest and the other thrown over his head like a dramatic princess in an old fairy tale book.
Sry for the slow post! Was a bit under the weather last week!

@Elsian CoxLogan genuinely laughed at the thought of her and the boys getting into a fist fight over pillow forts. "No, we didn't get into any fist fights, I am not one for physical violence," the young girl clarified as she decided to sit criss-cross on the couch she was perched on.
"I told you my family is awful at cooking. My aunt burnt a batch of scones so we hid them in our pockets during dinner, somehow we figured out how to make catapults out of different objects we found around the house. We had a full on war to see who could take out the others fort the fastest." A smile was present on her face at the memory of the day they had the scone war. "Our father walked in to get a paper he had left on the table in the living room and a scone ended up hitting him in the side of the head. A few things ended up getting broken because we had such awful aim and he got mad enough because he got hit that we ended up getting grounded for two weeks and we weren't allowed to make forts any longer." Logan finished her long winded explanation with a huff and a smile on her face. Her father had been so mad about getting hit with a scone she could remember her and her brothers taking off out of the room to try and hide from him.
Logan managed to flip herself over while she was talking, her feet hanging over the back of the couch and her head hanging over the side. Her now red hair dangling onto the floor as she grinned up at her closest friend. "It stays warm in here most of the year because of the sun and because of my brothers, my father put a spell on the room to keep it quiet in here. I can go with the 9.5 but I showed you just in case you decide you ever want to come back."
Quickly Logan rolled off of the couch and onto her feet, dusting off her clothes as she stood up again. She spun around rather quickly and started to make her way towards the stairs that led to the second part of the library. "Come on, we need to continue with the tour Sir Elsian," she called out as she stood at the top of the stairs, waiting for the Gryffindor to follow her.

"Scone warfare. Polishing your skills for a food war at Hogwarts aren't you?" he accused, pointing a finger in her direction like a detective figuring out some grand scheme. However, the look horribly ruined by the way he sprawled across the sofa.
"Yes, it's all coming together," he hummed, twisting to mirror Logan's upside down pose with one of his own. Looking at her with fingers pressed against each other he looked much like a private eye about to reveal the big plan, a man whom had the the answers. Granted, it probably would have looked more serious and less ridiculous had both of them not been dangling upside down on plush sofas. "That's why you brought me here. You wanted a brave Gryffindor to help you with your master plan but jokes on you Logan," at this he pointed a finger at her, the other coming to rest at his hip, "because my schedule is packed with sleeping!"
On anyone else this sort of banter would most likely sound childish and like just what it was. A fake banter of Elsi being melodramatic. But on Elsian, with the blank poker face and typical manner he spoke? A person who didn't know him might have thought he was being serious, ridiculous as the tangent he went on against Logan may be.
Dropping his arms immediately after, like a puppet whos strings had been cut he continued on as if talking about something as typical as school or a book. "Or something like that. I'll give you this, if you're trying to bribe me to come back it's working. 10/10 very devious Huffpuff. You picked the right person to target, I'm weak to peer pressure. I'll help you take down everyone at Hogwarts during the inevitable food war you have planned."
Watching the other roll onto her feet he practically whined when she quickly moved on. "We're moving? Now?" he groaned dramatically, sliding down the rest of the way off the couch with a huff, "I expect the best tour ever from you in return for this harassment Lady Logan. The best"
Still, right side up Elsian did follow her rather easily for all his dramatics. Curiosity a hell of a motivator.
That and the fact for all the moving Logan was actually fun to be around.
