Oh Sweet Anticipation
Ten points to Hufflepuff! May almost fell down when she heard that her team was taking the lead. She punched her fists in the air, something that was completely not normal thing for May to do. But when it came to sports, May was the most cheerful of them all, or that she thought.
Then, Serena, the seeker, saw the snitch. Another punch in the air and yell from the small blue-eyed Hufflepuff as she saw the snitch herself. Thank goodness that Durmstrang seeker hadn't spotted it yet. But May was sure that game was going to be fatal. At least fatally great.
Yes! Serena managed to evade all four bludger attempts to hit her, perfectly as a perfect seeker would. This time, May couldn't stop it...
"GO SERENA!!!!! YOU DO THIS!!!!"
She looked at who had screamed that, until she finally saw that it was herself. With a prideful smile, she kept waving, until Durmstrang scored. Well this game is great! And my second one! I can't believe it! Well, second one benched of course... she thought, still smiling and waving a flag in the air.

Ten points to Hufflepuff! That’s really exciting!
Their seeker Serena somehow managed to evade from four bludgers. That’s magnificent. And she scored! Lindsey really couldn’t keep her excitement in her heart.
Their Huffles were great. Although those foreign guys scored too, she believed her comrades would win. Why would the Durmstrangs win? See, their keeper was nowhere in sight during the Hufflepuff’s scoring!
“Go Hufflepuff!” She cheered. Cheering so loud wasn’t her cup of tea if she was at school of at home, but today was totally different.
Hufflepuff would win. They must win.

↓ Stats & Abilities ↓Nikolai couldn't do much but cheer on his team from the benches alongside his other teammates who were currently benched. He watched eagerly as the Quaffle was contested between a playeron either team, his friend Greta representing theirs. As the Quaffle came out of the Hogwarts players hand and into Greta's, Nikolai stood up in excitement for a short moment before sitting back down and bringing back the usual hardened look to his face. Yikes. His friend Hanzo on the other hand had just received a penalty lap. Nice try though. A goal was then shortly delivered by the Hufflepuff player in which Greta would score as well for them right after, once again making him cheer internally for his teammate.

Words that Vyacheslav says that are in italics are in Russian.Slava was glad to be up in the air and playing. A tiny laugh escaped his lips as he remembered how he had once disliked heights. He was never as afraid of them as his brother, but he had still not been totally comfortable with them. Yet now, only a year later, he relished them. After joining the Quidditch team because of that dare, he had become incredibly passionate about it and worked hard to improve. He was even considering working towards a dream of being a professional Quidditch player when he was older.
The light banter with Kolya was continued as the other boy huffed, saying that that would never happen but they should destroy the Hogwarts players' confidence. “That's not a very nice way to put it!” he protested with a pouty face. “Good idea nevertheless, so let's get to it.” They flew off and took careful aim, whacking the bludgers with a satisfying thump at the enemy Seeker.
They were destined to hit her, set on the perfect course, but somehow she managed to swiftly and neatly dodge them. Slava's mouth was left hanging open in shock as she dodged two bludgers and two attempts at blatching. She was insane! Who was this girl? Quickly, he shut his mouth, lest anyone see. She had also managed to score a goal. A Seeker, scoring? Luckily, Greta had evened the score for them swiftly, and Durmstrang would surely be thankful for that. But the Hogwarts Seeker, seriously… she seemed unstoppable.
In the heat of the moment, he yelled the first thing that came to mind. “You divine Hippogriff!” he bellowed at the Seeker. It was official, Slava had gone insane. Completely and utterly bonkers… but he had picked up that "insult" from a certain Scottish girl who was likely having a lovely time laughing at him. She was the first Hogwarts student he had met, and she had cruelly tricked him into thinking that the bizarre phrase was a British insult. Well, that was partially a lie. Eventually she had come clean, but what was the harm in saying it anyway, just for entertainment? It wasn't like he would feel embarrassed, anyway.
He snickered and continued flying, glancing at Kolya to confirm their plan for their next action. After working closely together as Beaters for a while, they were able to comprehend the look in their partner's eyes, the small gestures to indicate what they were thinking. Slava gave a slight nod to show his understanding and sprang into action.Action: Doing as strategisedStatistics:

If the broom is shattered, the opponent will not be able to use the broom for the duration of the Quidditch match (they do not lose their broom permanently, they would repair it off-screen later). If they are caught by an ally, they would have no broom to return to and would have to ride with an ally or remain on the ground for the duration of the game. There are some two-player moves where a player can share a broom but this is still a devastating loss for a team.

Mikael's throat began to feel the strain of yelling at the top of his lungs for way too long. Though the boy could not honestly find it within himself to care. Their teams were far too close in score, and he had been on the edge of his seat the majority of the time. The Hufflepuff team had to be given more credit than he had given them credit. It seemed like both teams were almost equally matched. The team wasn't just giving them the win, and that made things even better. His team had to work for the win, and that would only make victory sweeter.

Greta Fransson: Quaffle Grab [d20: 8] + 13 = 21 [Success]
Hanzo Fransson: Penalty Lap
Espen Kvalheim: No Move
Results
The red leather ball was thrown in the air, which seemed for a disadvantage at the start for Durmstrang almost immediately got proven wrong, in fact it was Hufflepuff who would have a disadvantage. Greta Fransson would prove quite an opponent as she had a focus that no one could rival. The quaffle was her target and she would get it no matter what. Sheer determination is what rewarded her with the capture of the quaffle. Now only Willow Anderson would stand in her way. Espen Kvalheim wouldn't even intervene in all of this. Hanzo however begrudgingly flew around the stadium serving his punishment for trying a foul move.

Durmstrang:
Greta Fransson: Score Attempt: [d20: 16] + 13 = 29 [Success]
Results:
Nimbly Greta moved between all of the opposing chasers. Nothing would stand between her and the goal. But yet one dared to challenge her. The challenger's name was Willow Anderson undaunted she soared in front of the hoops. Greta flew towards the hoops and faked to throw it at the left hoop. Willow followed and suddenly the red ball flew past her on her right. GOAL FOR DURMSTRANG!!!! Unfortunate, but nothing was lost just yet! A second attempt was made and yet again the championess of Durmstrang seemed to score a goal! It wouldn't be an obliteration if she would miss the last one and so she didn't. Three goals for Durmstrang! Willow just didn't stand a chance.
Beaters
Hufflepuff:
Quinn Healy: Bludger Backbeat [d20: 13] + 13 = 26 - 1 = 25 [HIT]
Valentin Schnell: Evasion Check [d20: 7] + 9 = 16
Saskia Nicholson: Lifeguard duty
Durmstrang:
Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich Preobrazhensky: Bludger [d20: 11] + 13 = 24 [HIT]
Quinn Healy: Evasion Check [d20: 9] + 5 = 14
Kolya Mikhailov: Bludger [d20: 6] + 13 = 19
Quinn Healy: Evasion Check [d20: 20] + 5 = 25 [Success]
Kolya Mikhailov: Calming Presence (1-10 = autohit) [d100: 19] [Fail!]
Hufflepuff Damage:
Quinn Healy:
Part-giants perform an additional +30% damage with their physical attacks (anything that requires strength).
50 x 16 = 800 + 240 (30%) = 1040 damage dealt to Valentin.
Valentin Schnell:
900 - 1040 = -140 [Knocked off broom]
Durmstrang Damage:
Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich Preobrazhensky:
75 * 10 = 750 - 20% = 600 damage dealt to Quinn.
Quinn Healy:
1500 - 600 = 900
Results:
Quinn Healy a tower on a broom is quite an imposing sight to behold. Yet that fact didn't held Durmstrang back, if it did anything at all. Determined to blow some holes into the Hufflepuff Captain Kolya smacked the Bludger as hard as she could. The Bludger soared past the Giant. Vyacheslav was their only hope and with a resounding crack the Bludger flew at the big Badger. Upon impact another crack filled the stadium. That one must've hurt! But no matter how much it hurted the Giant stayed afloat! Now it was time for Quinn to return the favor, he wouldn't target any of their beaters. No, he only had eyes for the Niffler. Muscles prepared and the sleeves of his quidditch shirt almost ripped as he slapped the Bludger with all his might. A cannonball flew the unsuspecting Durmstrang Seeker. As the Bludger hit Valentin, he toppled from his broom and immediately he plummeted towards the ground.
Seekers
Hufflepuff:
Snitch DC: 28
Serena Towers: Search [d20: 2] + 14 = 16 [Fail!]
Durmstrang:
Snitch DC: 28
Valentin Schnell: Search [d20: 11] + 13 = 24 + 1 = 25 [Fail!]
Valentin Schnell: Keen Eye (1-10 = autofind) [d100: 69] [Fail!]
Results:
Both Seekers did their best to find that glittering gold. Valentin had almost found it, or at least that is what he thought and we'll never know if he actually would've found it. As a bludger was sent his way and ruthlessly ended his search. Serena however was still searching for it, at this moment in time unable to locate it.
Scoreboard
Hufflepuff: 10
Durmstrang: 40
Edit: The math for the bludger against Quinn is recalculated. This is due to the fact that Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich Preobrazhensky only has 10 strength instead of 13. I confused her stats with those of Kolya Mikhailov.OOC Note:
I'd like to take a moment here to explain what happened. Hufflepuff got a -1 on all Accuracy based roles in this match. This is due to the effect of the Charmer ability: Effect: -1 accuracy to all of your opponents (as defined at the start of the instance regardless of later betrayal). This is why I had to do an extra roll on the discord server -> roll channel as the first quaffle grab wasn't contested due to Aaron and Annie having both a 21 in total.
For the Beaters the only thing I had to calculate was Quinn. He is a Half-Giant thus having the bonus to smash Valentin off of his broom because of this: Part-giants perform an additional +30% damage with their physical attacks (anything that requires strength) and having the benefit to have a damage reduction because of this: They also have 20% damage reduction. Damage reduction basically means that giants take less damage from magical and physical sources. (So if they are attacked and damaged for 100, they only take 80 damage.)
Now continuing on for the Seekers. Here I calculated the DC to find the Snitch according to the new patch: DC = 15 + lowest seeker wisdom. Valentin has the lowest wisdom which is 13. Thus meaning the DC to find the Snitch = 15 + 13 = 28.
If anything else is unclear feel free to reach out to me via owl or DM!

Willow's confidence was dwindling, not at all helped by @Jack Warren's callout that he knew she could do better. She knew that too! But, it was also only her second game that was now placed in a giant stadium. Her nerves were starting to catch up to her, but she was trying to shake it off. The game had just started, there was still time to turn it around. At least she wasn't Serena, being attacked four separate times. She was going to be the best Starfish and Stick on this field if it was going to be the death of her. A thought popped into her head wondering if there had ever been deaths on the field of Quidditch due to it being such a dangerous game. Her head shook, trying to push the thought out of her brain. There was no place for fear or hesitation right now, only action.
For the next round she shook out her arms and legs to get them warm and nimble once more before positioning herself like last time, one hand already off the broom, one leg hanging down, and the other two limbs keeping her balanced. She saw the same girl win the quaffle grab and speed towards her, she tracked her to the left hoop before failing the fake out, the quaffle flying right past her. "Ah, there it goes." She sighed, there was still two more grabs this round. She could get it. The next two times Greta came at her, Willow's brow furrowed at a new intensity that she didn't think she could reach. Yet, she missed blocking all three goal attempts that round. On the last one she slammed her fist on her broom with a grunt of frustration. "Are you kidding me?" It was towards herself rather than the other player. She was obviously a powerhouse that was unbeatable by Willow.
A sudden feeling of uselessness came over her as she realized how badly she was failing her team. Durmstrang was ahead by 30 points, and it was all Willow's fault. Her eyes scanned the crowd again finding @Sylvain Indarys and @Flash Holmwood watching the game, but more specifically, watching her. Then to Jack again, the annoying string bean she had grown quite fond of. She wasn't just failing the team anymore, she was failing her friends, failing Hogwarts. She almost had half the mind to let herself fall off of her broom and let Atlas take over. She shook her head slowly in defeat before drifting back to her usual position for the start of the next round.Action || Doing as Strategized

@Rafael D'Spacito, @Evelynn Decipio, & @Aida Mòrsgor-Ama EllwoodPushing my Moontrimmer to its limits, I zipped about the stadium as quickly as I could manage. I had to get back in the game as soon as possible. I could not risk being too late to react to another threat, especially with a blossoming plan spoken between me and Hanzo ready to be initiated. Just as I was coming about halfway around the stadium, I saw the telltale streak of white, out Keeper Valentine... falling, with nobody to save him. Another kick in the teeth for our team...
Three holds of breath and three consecutive cheers from the Durmstrang side of the stadium, and I witnessed Greta score thrice against the Puff Keeper. I smile ear to ear; small as she may be, she has a fight bigger than any of us. She would have made a good Gryffindor friend for Piérre... Perhaps... perhaps I could introduce them after the game...
Recalculating the wins and losses in my mind, I share a look with Hanzo, willing him to think the same game plan as me. This was it... neither team as far as I could tell had found the Snitch, so there was still a long way for the game to be completed. Even when the chase was on, I had Aces up my sleeve.

With every catch of the Quaffle, Yefim would scream at the top of his lungs. The puffy keeper had no idea what she was dealing with, Yefim laughed out loud when she hit her broom in frustration. Only a matter of time now, their points were racking up thanks to the impossibly talented Greta. She was invincible, that one block had only ever just been a fluke. That one Quaffle grab too, that ball belonged to Greta, and everyone in the stadium was getting to see it for themselves.
His overflowing joy was short-lived, however. A big shit-eating smirk on his face as he watched the bludgers fly at a way-too-big hog wart, only for one of them to fly directly at Niffler. His eyes widened, and his smile vanished in a second. No… he was too focused, too single-minded. He lived to catch the snitch, not to dodge bludgers.
The monster! His stupid muscles sent the bludger flying with the force of a bullet, knocking Niffler unconscious in one fell swoop.
”[Who let an adult play in this kid’s game? FOUL! HE SHOULD BE THE ONE TAKING A PENALTY LAP, HE IS TOO BIG!]” Yefim screamed, incensed.
Groaning, Yefim grabbed the barrier to the field again and shook it impatiently. He’d like to see that idiot after the game and teach him a lesson! It wasn’t that Niffler had never been knocked off his broom before, everyone on the team knew how to take a hit, but that guy was cheating for sure! No kid is that huge!
Well, it wasn’t like they were losing, but the secure feeling Yefim had at the start of the game had long since disappeared. Now, instead of knowing they were going to win, he needed for them to win. They couldn’t be allowed to get away with this!

Laying down onto his Silver Arrow as if to merge with it, Valentin shifted his weight back as if he were about to perform what in aerial dogfights is called a high yo-yo. Reducing speed as he flew higher, his gaze filled with the entirety of the great domed sky and Valentin searched for the snitch. Yet, nothing gleamed in the smooth gradient of darkening sky. No golden star shined on him. Arching back to complete the yo-yo with a rolling dive, Valentin could now see a huge expanse of turning space below him. Nothing. No target to match his speed against, nothing for him to use his maneuvers on. Why? Just nothing.
Leveling out when he reached the height of the stands, Valentin listened to the whooshing air combining with the reverberations of the crowd. It was such a sweet symphony. For just one moment, Valentin closed his eyes to listen. Yet, there was something… missing. It was as if an important instrument had been taken out of a key part of the song. An ominous feeling shocked Valentin into opening his eyes. Where was his wingman? Looking around, there was no one. He was alone when he shouldn’t be alone. The crack of a beater’s bat permeated the air and Valentin heard a thump behind him. Instinctively, Valentin leaned into a barrel roll. A Celt-like figure made Valentin’s eyes strain. The red-haired opponent was farther than he appeared by virtue of his half-giant size, but the unexpected size relative to his distance disturbed Valentin’s instincts, which had formed around opponents of a much smaller size. How had he not seen that guy before, during the dive? How was the player just… so… big? What speed was he even going, with such an inability to be small and aerodynamic? Valentin’s obsessive clockwork began to spin rapidly but it suddenly jammed. He needed to focus on the snitch. His team needed him. As he lifted his eyes back up to the heavens, a clap like thunder accompanied a feeling like being shot by a bullet.
Valentin had gotten distracted by the half-giant, disoriented by the absence of his wingman, and now he would fall. The shock of intense pain rendered Valentin’s limbs unresponsive and loose as the G-forces of the Silver Arrow’s intense barrel roll peeled the boy off his source of power. The familiar sight of the Earth rushing towards him would have made the boy brace for impact, if only his body would function. Locked into his frozen shell, Valentin listened to the crowd as it fluxed with roars and screams and bashing. With the ground approaching steadily, the sweetness of this music managed to break Valentin’s paralysis just enough for him to grin from ear to ear. Valentin had no time for regret– he was simply too goddamn happy.
