Little Adventures
It was a chilly afternoon at Hogwarts, everyone in the castle seemed to be in high spirits. The day was perfect for meeting old friends and new, having the much awaited catch up. Only a few students walked along the quiet corridor.
After a day of hard-working lessons, Bella decided that it was time she went exploring. She longed to see what the castle had to offer. She walked onward, gazing dreamily at the stone walls. Admiring how everything fit together so nicely. Though the castle could be looked upon as old and dreary, the paintings and decorations all made it feel like home. Bella felt comfortable here, happy. She had made a few friends since starting, not many, but more than she ever thought. Every day it feels easier to her, meeting people. The lessons were a lot better than she could have imagined, some lesson of course better than others.
Bella stopped next to a painting of what looked to be a castle, which was not Hogwarts. Nothing moved inside of it, however, she was sure there should be someone there. Maybe they're off on their own adventure... she thought to herself. The castle lay further into the painting, as though the background for the main event. She watches the painting, it looked beautiful there; Bella couldn't help but think of the countryside she grew up in.
Bella stays stood there, examining the painting and in her own world. Unaware of who was walking toward her.

Little Adventures
Henry unclipped the bucket of his robes so they hung loosely around him, since lessons were over there was no need to stay in this uncomfortable uniform. As Henry walked through the corridor on the way to meet up with some friends from last year, maybe Altair or Miranda or maybe even Aurelia or Charles, Henry started to think as he passed others through the corridor and unaware to him would start to walk in a abandon corridor. As he made his way down it, Henry was a bit to lost in thought to noticed the other person in that corridor but lucky for him he came from within a foot from bumping into her before he came to a halt.
Henry felt his anxiety looming over his head as he looked sort of awkward standing there facing this girl who from her robes seemed to be a gryffindor and who was looking at a painting of a castle or something of the sort as he stared at the girl, unsure of what to say. Even with his new found confidence,
he still had a over baring and always looming anxiety that he would eventually need to work on. As he ran a hand through his hair and held his messager type bag on his shoulder he spoke " uh sorry if I almost ran into you, mate," that sounded like a good start as Henry continued " that's a nice painting, uh are you lost through mate?" Henry only asked since no one else seemed to be in the corridor with them.

Bella's head snaps to her side, not expecting someone to be there. Her mind had drifted and she was mostly thinking of home, how her father was coping by himself. Composing herself, she studies the boy; noticing first his robes to be those of Slytherin, though unsure of what year he was. As she listened to him, Bella notices his nerves as she could relate. She felt slightly nervous herself at this encounter.
Looking around her, she realises she would have been lost if he hadn't have gotten there. "It's fine. I was just exploring, but I guess I would definitely have been lost once I started walking again." she smiles, chuckling as the thought passed her.
The corridor still was quiet and abandoned, she had no idea what time it was. This was the first time she had gone exploring by herself, usually her father was there to show her the way. Her father was great with directions, he planned all their trips weeks ahead and made sure he was right before they headed odd. She could imagine the panic she would feel if she was truly lost in this castle, hoping that a professor would find her in time. I need to find someone to go with next time, she thought as she waited for the boy to speak.

Henry smiled at the girl as he felt his nerves easing and his confidence coming back, but his ever looming anxiety remained as he spoke " then it's a good thing that I bumped into you, uh. I'm Henry by the way," after he introduced himself he gave her a friendly smile and ran a hand through his hair, as he was getting more comfortable despite his anxiety, Henry started acting a lot more calm like how he would around his friends. He then continued to look at the girl in her amber eyes as she spoke " I'm guessing your a first year since you were almost lost. Don't worry everyone gets lost at some point their first year, including me but you'll get the hang of it soon," Henry paused as he gestured behind himself before speaking again " back there leads to the great hall, so occasionally multiple people can pass through here while-" Henry then gestured behind the girl and spoke again " over there leads to the duelling club, so a few people go there. Any questions, mate?" Henry paused to take a breather and smile at the girl before continuing " are you going anywhere in particular or just exploring because I'll be happy to show you around."

Bella watches as Henry spoke, taking note of everything he said; it will be handy for her to actually know where everything was. Her eyes follow as he points behind him toward the Great Hall and then to where the duelling club lay. Maybe one day she would need this information, she was sure to get the hang of it at some point just as he said. He stops talking, after asking if she wanted him to show her around. She answers, "A tour would be nice, that's if you're not busy! I don't want to ruin any of your own plans, and I'm Bella." she smiles, one that her father would always say lit up the room. Bella takes another looks around the corridor, once again admiring the way it looked.
"It's really beautiful here isn't it?" she says, looking back toward Henry. The beauty and amazement of Hogwarts was sure to never leave her, it was something she had never seen before; no wonder her father loved it there when he was her age.
She felt at ease with Henry, it was as though all her nerves had disappeared. Like she was talking to a friend she had known for years. It was a nice feeling, finally finding the confident to meet people.

Little Adventures
Henry smiled when the red haired girl introduced herself as Bella and accepted his offer for a tour before commenting on his beautiful Hogwarts is. Henry then looked along the corridor then at the painting Bella was staring at which sort of looked like Hogwarts but was obviously another castle before looking out for the panel windows at the grounds below where students and professors can be seen walking among the grounds. It was a beautiful day and Henry sort of wished to be outside to with them either reading in a tree or breathing in the smells by the great lake. He had a feeling many of his friends were there and he would love to join them but he also liked to give Bella a tour, as she said and chat with her a bit, at least he won't be alone. As Henry turned back to the red haired girl's eyes and spoke " yeah, it is beautiful. Uh, so do you have any specific places you want to go or should I just lead the way, mate, uh Bella?" Henry was a bit too use to saying mate, since he said it with friends and family but also just in general around Liverpool and back in godric hollow where a lot of people said it and even at Hogwarts, but he did say it a bit too much.

Still feeling guilty for taking up some of his time, where she can only imagine he had better things to do, she tries to think of something she could be doing to set him free. Her mind would only think of seeing more of the castle, so she decides to stay put with this offer.
"You can lead the way, I don't particularly have any preferences." she answers Henry, smiling.
Her mind drifts to the places she might get to see, the grounds would be nice! It is a nice, but chilly, day after all. She wondered whether the Quidditch Pitch was open, she couldn't wait until the House Cup started. Bella always favoured watching Quidditch rather than playing it. She was never allowed on a broom growing up and now she feared falling; though she often caught up on the news and will still do here at Hogwarts.
The library was still another place she was yet to venture in, all the books were calling her name. She can already picture herself spending hours browsing the shelves, looking for a new book to dive into. That will be her top place for some peace whenever she wished for it.

"You can lead the way, I don't particularly have any preferences." Hearing Bella answer gave Henry some ideas as he smiled, he didn't know if the gryffindor had anywhere she needed to be but she seemed to be quite happy to get a tour as Henry smiled and thought of some places he could should her. Maybe the library and it's close enough so if she rather be somewhere else then I'll somewhere to be also, or maybe the owlery the view is wicked from the top or maybe the quidditch pitch. I may not be a fan of flying but it's still rather peaceful up there or maybe the great lake
where that oak tree is where I like to sit. Or maybe somewhere common like the dueling club or great hall, ugh this is bloody difficult. Maybe just a overall tour of the castle, starting with the duelling club and ending with the grounds, yeah that sounds good.
Henry smiled at Bella as he spoke " brilliant, let's start the tour that way I guess," Henry gestured behind Bella and started walking down the hall as he kept a good pace so Bella could keep up. As he walked Henry also spoke " a few places to know down here, are the dueling club, a few classrooms, and probably the stairs so you don't get lost."Henry chuckled at that last part as it was meant to be a joke and hopefully Bella saw it that way as well.

Bella felt excitement coursing through her as Henry said, "brilliant, let's start the tour that way I guess.". She felt as though it was luck finding someone that is willing to help her, she assumed most people would have better things to do; though she did think Henry had other plans. He must have some friends he wanted to meet, or maybe even some work that needed doing; guilt had come up again all over Bella.
She remembered asking someone the simple question of 'where is the Charms class' and getting no answer, they seemed uninterested. Bella had asked a couple other people, to short replies, and had to find her own way there. She was, unintentionally, late but the professor seemed nice enough to let her off the one time.
Preparing herself, she slings her bag more comfortably over her shoulder so it didn't fall whilst walking. She then looked down to her shoes, knowing full well they were stuck on her feet. Henry saw Bella was walking beside him so he slower his walk just a bit as he moved his messager type bag on his shoulder in a more comfortable position as he walked to the end of the abandon corridor then turned the corner left to another corridor that only a few others were walking down. It wasn't crowded but it wasn't packed either as he continued to walk down the corridor with Bella by his side. Henry turned his face toward her and saw her red haired bobbing as she walked, which made Henry run a hand through his own hair before saying " so how as Hogwarts been so far, Bella?" Henry wasn't the best at small talk, so that's probably why his questions sounded cheesey and awkward as he bit his lip a bit before running another hand through his hair but this time to keep his anxiety under control. As he felt his anxiety grow above his head, he tried to block it out but sometimes he wasn't that successful and it would show since he couldn't yet find a way to get rid of it completely. As Henry came to the and of the corridor, he turned to Bella and spoke again " Sorry if I'm not the best at small talk. So what do you like to do in your spare time.?
