Just A Checkup
Rosie promised herself she'd look over Clary's sister, it was more swearing to herself than to Clary. But regardless to where it was to, it was in Rosie's nature to be kind to everyone. If she wasn't, how would she move on in life with a good reputation? You can only be confrontational and blunt for so long until you're kicked to the side as one of the "meanies".
"Quidditch seems... Scary. But I'd love to try it! You're literally in the air? That's so cool! I'd like to be a goalee, or maybe on the offense. I wanna help as much as possible! It'd be fun, but at the same time, if you fell, it could get messy. It seems a little scary, but new experiences are fun, right?" She rose her hands in the air, grinning.
Rosie talked a little more about the library, before she stopped, sighing happily. "We should go to the library sometimes. I'd like to have someone to study and stuff with. But I'm sure I'll be seeing you in my classes a lot anyway, right? Apart from at night, of course. Since... You're Ravenclaw and not Hufflepuff." She pouted, faking her disappointment. Her cheeks were still red from her babbling, a natural blush had taken form on her face.

Just A Checkup
Clary felt a smile creep onto her face at the thought of Rosie gaining an interest in Quidditch. She'd first discovered the sport while visiting Diagon Alley, the shopping street for witches and wizards. Being a muggle-born, she'd never been to the street before and was immediately in awe of the various shops. There were stores for potions, pets, books, cloaks, tricks, and magical trinkets of all sorts. In fact, there was even a store with broomsticks in the window! Clary was in awe, surprised the stereotype of witches (and wizards, of course - she wasn't sexist) flying on brooms was true!
Once Clary had arrived at Hogwarts, she immediately jumped on the opportunity of learning more about the sport, purchasing a book about it from the library. She'd found her own cozy corner in the Ravenclaw common room and had spent days reading through the book religiously, learning all she could about the sport. "You should totally try out! It'd be so much fun, and we could maybe play a few matches against each other as well! Maybe you could play seeker, since you're pretty small, and maybe fast? Or maybe keeper... You may not be strong enough for beater. Yeah! We should go to the library later!"

Rosie's grin only grew when Clary encouraged her. It just pushed her motivation furthur to try out, and she knew some people in her house would be trying out as well, so she wanted to help as much as possible! Rosie stood up from the bed and stretched, letting out a big sigh. "I'm excited. And yeah! We should totally go to the library later. Seeing as we love it already, it'd be nice to share the space with someone who also appreciates books and stuff." Rosie smiled down at the Ravenclaw girl, her hands now in her pockets.
She was more excited for Quidditch now, even if it did sound dangerous and scary, Rosie was all for new experiences! She put her hands on her hips and started to talk again. "Maybe we can study there together too? I've been looking for someone to help me understand stuff, cause I can be slow sometimes." She laughed nervously. "It's okay if you don't wanna either, I should be fine on my own. But I think learning's more fun if you're with someone else, you know?" Rosie shrugged. "I guess I've always been like that, it's annoying to some people. I feel bad when I talk too much."

Clary beamed, noticing Rosie's slight discomfort as she shifted back and forth on the bed as if she was incapable of sitting still or wasn't completely sure of how to hold herself. The Ravenclaw girl remained perched neatly on the stark white sheets, one leg crossed over another as she leaned back onto her arms, listening to Rosie plan out all of their future adventures in the library. That is if one called studying an adventure, but Clary was a Ravenclaw, after all!
"Of course we can go later! I totally agree. It sucks to go when you're with someone who can't really appreciate its full potential." The library was a magical world, brimming with new mystics and wonders. How could one not love a place with towering shelves of books and floating objects that seemed to seamlessly glide around the room? There was even an air of mystery to the space, for those who had an interest in topics of the sorts, with the mysterious Restricted Section, an area of the Hogwarts library explicitly off limits except to students with specific approval to enter from a teacher. She questioned why a few books could be so restricted. It's not like they were able to just pop out and eat her!
"Studying sounds like a great idea, and you know I'd love to go! There's also a few Study Rooms on the First Floor if the library's too full." Just as Clary was about to speak, the nurse entered the room with a sweeping flourish, the wooden door shutting behind her with a soft thump.

Excited that Clary agreed to study with her, she jumped when the nurse entered the room. Rosie turned and waved awkwardly, sitting back down next to Clary.
The nurse questioned Rosie about why she was there, and Rosie answered her questions. Her and Clary tripped while making their ways, and they decided to come to the wing. The nurse lectured them, of course, about the importance of being safe while running, and borderline questioned why they were running in the first place. Rosie answered to the best of her ability, but to Clary, it was probably obvious Rosie was nervous when it came to adults. She moved her hands as she explained the situation, and the nurse checked her head, making sure Rosie didn't hit it too hard. She flashed an awkward smile to Clary as the nurse checked her head.
Hospitals just... Rubbed Rosie the wrong way. She had always hated them. Adults made her nervous too, but that was one of the few things that made the Hufflepuff girl nervous in general. Once she was done with Rosie, she checked Clary for bruises and such. Rosie crossed her legs on the bed and watched the nurse do her job, relieved.

"Thank you, Madame," Clary commented to the nurse once she'd been successfully checked for bruises. A quick episkey and a second round of scolding had earned her the freedom to escape the painfully awkward encounter and a body free of injury. Nodding her head in goodbye to the kind old lady, she bounced up, feeling rejuvenated and excited after the healing spell had been used on her. Her mind raced with the excitement of all of the various options and adventures the girls could race away to, before flickering back to their conversation from earlier. Rosie had mentioned that she'd wanted to visit the library, so Clary didn't think that'd be too horrible of a place to start.
Noticing the Hufflepuff girl's discomfort, Clary gestured for her to follow, and called one last quick goodbye in the nurse's direction before heading towards the entrance. As much as she hated Hospital Wings, she'd miss the room itself, fit with gorgeously sculpted wooden white walls near the entrance with stones forming the sideways lengths of the rooms. The windows were tall, all a single pane of well-maintained clear glass, preventing others of escape from the swirling brass patterns that stood in front of it. It was gorgeous, but the stark white cleanliness of the room and the eerie smell of hospitals lingered in the space, encouraging her to shove open the giant set of wooden doors and flee into the hallway, Rosie in tow, as usual.

Rosie smiled when she realized Clary was doing the last of the talking, she hadn't felt up to it anyway. She stood up with Clary and stretched, following her out of the room with a slight skip in her step, which of course lead to Rosie being ahead of Clary once again. "The library, right?" She called as she maneuvered down the hall, glancing back at the blonde girl as she did. She was surprised that Clary had put up with her for so long, but she felt grateful, since she may not get this opportunity again.
The first time you meet someone is probably the most you remember, Rosie was sure in years to come she'd remember the way she met Clary. If... They would be friends for so long, but Rosie planned on keeping most of her friendships, letting go of the ones that were toxic. Because Rosie didn't need that in her life, it'd only bring her down more. Toxic thoughts brought toxic actions. It's a saying Rosie made up and gone by for years, even as a small child. She knew if you were friends with the wrong people, your life could go down hill real fast.
