Dancing
Tristan was certain no one was in the ballroom. It was Christmas break and mostly everyone had gone home. He, of course, was alone but there was an advantage to that because he could dance without people gawking. He was the heir of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Theremin but he loved to dance. Ballet specifically. Tristan carefully put on foundation, then concealer. Baked his face, then contoured his cheeks, nose, and brow. He used highlighter on his cheekbones and the corner of his eye. Eyeshadow was a must and he began to create a smoky eye with eyeliner and three tones of pigment. He then utilized his mascara and then applied fake eyelashes. Silently, Tristan applied lipstick . This time it was the color eternal sunshine. It was methodical because he desired to shock and surprise people in any area to protect himself. It was a shield and he probably wouldn’t stop. Even though it was 2020, it still was uncommon for males to wear makeup. Tristan then started wearing his flats to start stretching. Slowly, he stretched out one leg and bent over. Then to the middle and stretched parallel to the ground. He repeated this on the other side as well. He performed some quadricep stretches, then hamstring ones, and finally some on a barre.
Finally, he was ready. Getting his leg into position, he prepared himself for some pirouettes. Lifting his leg off the floors, he began to spin. Spotting had been hard for him but now it was one of his accomplished skills. He rarely got vertigo. Of course, he was performing a traditionally female move but he didn’t care for societal norms. Grand Jetés were next, then sauters, and fouettes on flats. Finally, he was warmed up enough to wear his pointes. Once the methodical process was finished, he stood up and practiced going on point. He turned on the music and performed. Tristan was sure of his grand adages and fouettes. He even did the 32 fouettes in traditionally female Black Swan. He was glad and danced for hours not even knowing the time go by.

Dancing
Leonard was neither fond nor unloving of adventures. There were many different types, many different branches into which adventure could be placed onto. However, winter had come around, and it seemed all he could possibly do was explore. There weren't many to talk to, nearly all of them having gone home to their families. It didn't matter much, of course, he'd rather take a break from conversation and classes than anything else. However, there was a point of silence he'd reached that felt plain boring.
And so he decided to adventure, just a little bit, to somewhere he'd never been before. It was perfect. A place that was most likely devoid of annoyances (read: people) and uninhabited by any poltergeists with snowballs. He probably wouldn't have visited it in any other situation, it being he was not a dancer, not of any genre. Anything that required moving one's feet more than the average walk and run was something he couldn't quite get the grasp of.
He looked around the corner of the grand doorway. If he wasn't a student at the place, he would have thought it was an exhibit of marble, and everything like it. In any case, Leonard was a student, and he knew by now that anything remotely drab would have to be renovated completely.
There, he saw a light-haired figure, doing all such movements impossible to him. Impossible to most of the population, even. While he knew students here could dance, more often than not, the outline was spinning and whipping their legs as if all stiffness in their body had dissipated, transferring to another body. Come to think of it, it was probably his own body.
After they finished, Leonard clapped. He couldn't think of anything else to do. It was hypnotising, even more so than the spells to do so.
"That was...some performance."

Dancing
Alone With You
Tristan heard clapping and was pleasantly surprised. He turned around to find a boy. He looked again and saw it was Leonard. It didn’t seem like Leonard recognizes him but Tristan was definitely appreciated. Leonard was in awe and star struck by his dancing.
“Leonard, my prince. Did you enjoy my dancing? I desire to hear your compliment again.”
Tristan deduced that Leonard thought he was special and that was intriguing. He had met Leonard a few months ago on the first day of schooling and they had agreed to be companions.
Tristan walked towards the other boy and kissed his hands just like last time. He was the prince after all just like he had been with Edward when they played.
“Genius needs an audience and I’m glad you provided it. Would you like to dance with me? We can confuse the rest of the world and make it look romantic.”
Tristan had actually opened up to this boy and so he was adapting to his personality and he was rather pleased with himself. He was certain Leonard also was attracted and ballet wasn’t the only form of art he could preform. Slowly, he smirked at Leonard and waited for a reply.

Dancing
He smiled as he met his old ally, once again. Tristan was a strange one, even for a wizard, but he was pleasant to be with. His oddities didn't bother Leonard much. Beggars couldn't be choosers with conversation partners, and the blonde was one of the very best in the school. He was cold, and yet approachable. And most certainly a boy of many surprises, from his apparent hobby of elegant dance to his mannerisms. Offhandedly, he wondered whether the kissing of hands normal for purebloods. From the rest he'd met, they seemed rather clueless to the normal of the muggle world. But thinking of Tristan as clueless to anything just seemed like an insult.
"Of course I enjoyed it. I'm not that much of a patron for the arts, but you may just be changing my mind."
Upon the request of a dance, he froze yet again. While thinking of the boy as unaware still counted as a brutal insult, surely he had to know the generalities of...well, something. Even he didn't know. Whatever it was, it was scary. The zone of comfort barely extended outside of his house, and this was so far from his house that the South pole was jealous.
"We're barely twelve, Tristan. Don't you think romance can wait for later? Besides, dancing is not my strong suit. I can barely run without tripping. There's a reason I like flying class."

Dancing
Alone with You
“I am surprised that you do not know how to dance, Leonard. It seems I am now obligated to teach you as any acquaintance of a pure blood should know how to dance, but we can practice on the quidditch pitch later, if you’d like?” Tristan said.
He was indeed a bit intrigued by the fact that Leonard hadn’t learned how to dance for most people these days had the internet at their fingertips when leaving magical society. He’d of course learned in classes and sometimes a private tutor because of his family’s wealth. Silently, in the deep of his heart, whether it existed or not, he’d learned to dance because he had enjoyed it. Edward had come with him once and was surprised that a nine year old could dance as well as he did. He wasn’t a dancing prodigy but rather a meticulous copier of details.
“Leonard, may I please have this dance with you” Tristan asked taking Leonard’s hand. “It does not matter what form. We could act like five year olds for all I care.”
He was sincere in that statement. If all Leonard could do was jump up and down, Tristan would be disappointed but would enjoy it. The music was still playing after all.@Leonard Oaksworth
