Finally, someone he knew! Despite Rett's constipated-looking expression on his face, the Pukwudgie lad is happy to have a familiar face near his little art project. (Though he does hope there's a bathroom nearby for his friend. Judging by Rett's face, he looks like he'd drop a deuce at any moment.) He was surprised that the first thing his friend did was take his paintbrush. He blinked for a moment (or two), only realizing too late that he'd been splattering murky brown paint over on other students' banner projects. "Oh, whoops." He said, flashing an apologetic grin at the victims of his splat attack. "Mundo sorry about that, m'dudes... Bu' hey! You can pass it off as some sort of modern art banner now, eh?" Unfortunately, the Hogwarts students grabbed their equipment and scurried away the minute Colt opened his mouth. Ah well, they must be in a hurry for something. Probably something Hogwarts-related, he didn't wanna question their culture.

The blonde-haired boy shrugged off the whole scenario, turning his attention back to his fellow Ilvermorny buddy. He grimaced as Rett mentioned using puke as paint. "Broooo, as much as it'd be totes cool, I dunno if the people in Hogwarts or in Durmstrang can handle sumthin' grody. But I appreciate the idea. It would've added texture to it," He then playfully poked Rett's side with his elbow. "Speakin' from experience, if ya catch what I'm throwing, Rettmeister." As the topic moved on to him possibly bringing the monstrosity that he created, the mangy-looking boy couldn't help but beam. "Oh totes, hombre! I'm definitely gonna let this flag fly!" Colt said proudly, patting the banner without a second thought. His hand now looked like he dipped the palm in toxic tar.

As Rett brought up the team for this year's Quidditch, Colt could only give him a confused look. "Wha' ya mean, Rett-o-matic? I'm rooting for our homie-DJ-school, of course!" The doltish boy shouted out for almost everyone in the area to hear. "ILVERMORNY TEAM, LEZ GO!" He said, pumping his black-colored fist in the air. "WHOO, ILVERMORNY RULES!" COlt continued to shout, waving his still wet banner around. Unfortunately, some of the paint is hurling towards his classmate, Rett.

Katrina sat down on the chair and pulled one leg up to hug, leaving the other one hang loosely. Her expression was calm, her eyes glazed over the people. It was as her mind was at ease that she almost smacked herself on the face. Nico! She already knew the Prefect! She was the girl two bunkbeds away from her in her tent. They hadn't talked much, but an embarrassed look crossed her face, Katrina hid it behind her auburn hair. How had she not recognized her? Katrina deducted that she really needed to get some water, it was a sign if her usually impeccable memory was failing her that she was dehydrated.

Katrina noticed as Nico commented on the snack she was holding. "Oh, they're Jelly Slugs. The same ones I had given you that first night at the tent. They're weird, but I like them," Because Adonis introduced them to me. That last part she simply thought, again hiding her blush behind her auburn hair.

Nico seemed distracted by something and Katrina followed her gaze to some chaotic yelling and bickering. From the distance and the little Katrina had been following of that group of people, she had no clue what it was about. She sort of waited for Nico to go help diffuse it, but it seemed Professor Jensen was already on the job. Nico commented on the whole thing and Katrina heard a half-hearted laugh escape her.

"So, how have you been doing?" It wasn't the best conversation starter, but it would do. Katrina was never really great at social interactions and tended to stick to the people she knew. However, she wouldn't have anyone she knew unless she met new people.

Aaron Jones was flying high as he approached the crafting setup near the stadium. He was ready to get pumped up about the game tomorrow. He intended to spend the evening practicing and getting a sweat on, but right now, he wanted war paint! His outfit consisted of the same thing he had worn on his first day at camp - a plain short-sleeved yellow tee, and a pair of black cargo shorts that reached his knees. The outfit would surely give away his allegiance to anyone who didn't already know him.

As he approached the activity, he was happy to see both his own Head of House (@Caradoc Browne) and the Slytherin Head of House (@Hjørdis Jensen) around. They must be really good friends - like him and @Lydia Cooper - considering the lengths Professor Browne had gone through to cheer Professor Jensen up last month. Closer inspection revealed that the Slytherin representative was not having a good time, though, because she seemed to be - scolding? - a group of girls. He definitely didn't want to get involved with whatever that was, so he started to gravitate towards the food. A growing boy like himself needed nourishment, even in the form of sweets!

"Hi, Nico and company!" Aaron said in passing, waving at the pale girl he had met during the relay errand earlier that year. She was sitting with a girl with a streak of blue in her red hair. An upperclassmen, probably, because Aaron didn't recognize her from his own classes. It would be clear to them that he was just passing by on his way to get his own collection of sweets.

Aaron turned his full attention now on the collection of sweets. He had accidentally missed breakfast since he slept in that morning, so now he was eager to fill his face with sweet things. Starting with a cupcake! A Hufflepuff-themed one, of course. Just as he was about to take a bite out of the frosting-laden dessert, his eyes caught sight of a freckled girl on the other side of the table. She looked... hesitant? Almost as if she didn't know whether or not she could have some. Aaron lowered the cupcake from his face and furrowed his brow a little bit. She was tiny - even smaller than Lydia! - which made him wonder if she was an incoming first year. Maybe a bit shy about just taking the treats?

"Hey, I'm pretty sure they're for everyone!" he said encouragingly, wearing his trademark huge smile. "I'm Aaron, by the way. Wanna eat with me and some friends over there?" he gestured to the table that Nico and the other girl were seated at. He did notice the way she glanced over her shoulder at someone in the distance, but he couldn't really tell who. A friend, perhaps?

Aurelia was dumbfounded. She stood a few feet away from the fighting girls and was painting her badger in peace. But no such thing as peace would come today. The crafting activity of all places! She watched as the arguments escalated. She should go over there. Stop them. But she couldn't- She had learnt in the past not to meddle in other peoples arguments. She turned around to face her poster. As she painted she started thinking. Before... a girl had said hi to her [Ivy]. That girl had probably forgotten. But, she remembered clearly the hug she had given her at one of the Slumber party's games. The girl who carried herself with such elegance... who was she?

She turned to get a better look at her. Just in time to see her get smacked in the face by the girl [May] who was supposed to be doing Ariana's face-paint. Oh no. Before she could think, her legs moved. She had to stop them, stop this from getting worse. But the professors were faster. Aurelia skidded to a halt so abruptly that she almost lost her balance. She stopped next to the girl who had just been smacked [Ivy].

Suddenly, she was standing with them. Stupid me... I should have known that the professors would stop this. Now I'm just going to get myself in trouble with all of them. Well, if I'm here already I should at least tell the professors what happened. She listened as the others explained and told Professor Jensen how she perceived the situation: "I was watching... and I saw that that Slytherin [Sky] provoked Ariana and Janet here... and then this girl came to calm them down [Ivy]... but, suddenly, this one [May] punched her" It really would have been better if she knew their names, but she supposed they hadn't bothered to introduce themselves. She turned to the girl who she had hugged [Ivy] and whispered: "Are you okay? It sounded quite brutal"

Nobody had come up to Lizzie. It was obviously the way she looked that made her less approachable than normal. The bed head really had made it look like she had just allowed a bird to nest and lay their eggs there. The thought of her not looking nice had not crossed the girl's mind as she eavesdropped on a massive argument near by.

She slightly grinned at seeing some of her tent mates in the fight. It was funny to watch. Until Lizzie's new 'friend' had gotten slapped in the face by the one and only May Moonstar. The girl winced and looked around for anything to do other than looking pretty creepy and weird.

Then the shouting came. Even more shouting then before. The names that were thrown into the air made Lizzie stop in her tracks. She turned back towards the two girls and looked at them [hopefully] dead in the eyes. She furrowed her eye brows and took a step forward.

"Date… with Zyk?" She questioned looking at Ivy not knowing if she had heard it or not, "What is going on?" She rubbed her eyes and then took a step back shaking her head. Lizzie could not understand what they meant.

She knew they had broken up nine days ago but it still hurt. She didn't realize he would just walk off. She didn't know that she was going to be crying in her tent for ages. Lizzie was not the one that had ran away from it all but there she was being the pathetic girl.

The girl yawned slightly from the lack of sleep and could not longer care less about them anymore. She just wanted to get back to her tent and away from all the havoc. Nothing could really help her right then and her ultimate goal was to try and get home in once piece. So that's exactly what she did. Lizzie let the area running back to her tent without any hesitation and because she is so blind she didn't even notice Zyk was there.
Lizzie has left the thread.

If it was reassurance and confirmation from Nikolai that Greta sought, it seemed the world would have something else in mind. No sooner had she turned her attention in his direction than did someone across the table from her speak. Given that they were speaking in a language that was not one understood terribly well by the foreign student, it hardly even registered in her mind. Her attention continued to be fixed in the direction of her friend. For a few more seconds, anyway. At least until that unfamiliar voice began to introduce itself. Now that.. That, Greta could understand.

Chin swivelling back around to see who it was that this disembodied voice was speaking, the blonde found herself peering across to a boy looking back at her. Given that there wasn't anyone else right next to her, it dawned on her then that this boy had likely been speaking to her this whole time. And she'd been ignoring him! Immediately, her cheeks erupted in a blush, deepening all the more as the introduction quickly turned to... something. Wide cerulean eyes followed the direction of his gesture, eventually settling onto a table with more unfamiliar faces before snapping back to the stranger.

"Ehm..." The noise of thinking preceded any actual words, tongue darting out to wet lips that seemed to be endlessly chapped in this heat. It always took her a moment to switch her thinking from her native languages to English. "Nice it is to meet you... Ahron..?" she replied, the words clumsy and heavily accented by her Scandanavian tongue. "I.. ehm.."

She could already feel gooseflesh prickling her skin as she paused to swallow down her nerves. She shot another furtive glance towards Nikolai for reassurance, and then around their immediate area for Hanzo for good measure. Neither search was particularly successful in their desired outcomes.

"Ehm.." she mused again, turning her attention back around onto the boy named Ahron. "I am.. Greta? I am.. ehm.. studentin of Durmstrang? You... you are not Durmstrang, yes? You are.. ehm.. you are Hogwarts? Or.. ehm.. Ivarmony?" she questioned sheepishly. "Ehm.. What.. Ehm... What is you say? Sorry.." She pursed her lips and held a hand up close to her chest with thumb and forefinger slightly spread. "Little English?"

By the end of her — albeit very brief — self-introduction and apology, Greta's eyes had withdrawn eye contact, as though the weight of that admission was more than she could bear. Where once she had detested the idea of having to learn the British language, now she was finding that her defiance was not at all empowering. It had quite the opposite impact, in fact, leaving her to be rather dependent on the others for translation and leaving her to feel quite meek in the presence of those who could so easily speak over her head both literally, and now figuratively too.

Of course, in doing so, her gaze had fallen once again upon the buffet of sweets. Her stomach made its ire known with a contemptuous growl. And like a raccoon before a human, Greta cautiously reached forward for the nearest cupcake, nibbling on it as though the sugar would somehow imbue her with renewed resolve in this encounter.

Rett cringed as the other students picked up their stuff and moved away, giving them a small sideways smile and shrug. Colt never really meant any real harm, he just got carried away easily and needed someone to pull him back every now and again. Luckily, this time Rett was here to gently pull him back. Well, he really just pulled a brush out of his hand.

He was still looking around at all the supplies and ultimately decided that he didn't really have the care or interest to make anything right now. He came to represent his school, not watch Quidditch. Especially since they weren't even in the match, especially since Rafael wasn't part of the match. He even considered just staying in his tent the day of and reading, but realized that might look bad on someone that was brought as a representative. His head quickly snapped back up when he realized that Colt was seriously considering actually using puke. "I'm going to politely choose not to be catching anything you throw this way." He moved slightly away from him as he elbowed him, but the nudge still happened. Rett wasn't a huge fan of body contact but again, the puppy didn't mean any harm.

At that point he heart a loud smack and turned to see a group of Hogwarts girls squabbling. "Ugh, the Hogdorks are acting up." He observed the girls for a moment before catching sight of a Professor moving toward them and turning back around.

The never ending nicknames never... seemed to end. "Seriously Colt, just call me Rett. You don't need to add the meister or the matic or whatever else your fantastical brain thinks up." He idly pulled a regular sized piece of paper and started making squiggly lines on it just to keep his hands occupied. "You know we have a separate game against the Beauxbatons right? There's no reason to really cheer for them here." He put on a fake facade of care in his voice. "And goodness Colt, you're just going to leave the other two schools here out of your amazing cheering skills? Sounds a bit rude to me." He ended his statement with a slight shrug, watching him carefully for what his reaction would be.

Interacting with @Sky Evans - Mentioning: Others
A light cough of a laugh was stymied as he observed her reaction to his presence there with a jolt that nearly sent her project skewing off the edge of the table. A slow nonchalant shake of his head was given as those bright hues adjusted to the expression that the girl adorned at the time. The side of his mouth curled in a playful smile before his gaze lowered back down towards the letters that he had been writing in bold black paint across the now sullied cloth that lay before him upon the table. An artistic hand wasn't needed for such a task, though Zykeal did try and make it at least eligible for those that glimpsed upon it. The strokes of his brush weren't brisk, but slow, methodical; it was, after all, his desire to cause malcontent with such a malicious statement.

There was no response to when he had paused and inquired into her own work at the moment, she ignored him. This was no problem for Zykeal, he had his own agenda at hand and his mere pleasantries offered to her was more of a display of social interaction instead of being an earnest attempt to befriend the snake. It wasn't like him to give second chances, the girl who was just slapped could understand that quite clearly and he could overhear mutters of a discussion that was probably related to him in some way or another in the background, but, he decided to at least offer his name as his facade of being polite at the moment overwhelmed the need to shun any social contact that presented himself. Zyk did choose to sit at the table with the girl, he thought, and in the midst of his mental discussion, his peripheral vision caught the movement of her arms crossing and the voice of the girl he had only heard once before spoke up then.

Instead of lifting his head to respond to the girl at first, he'd continue painting the 'o' of 'Boring' as she continued on with a self-answering question. It took actual effort to prevent himself from rolling his eyes and responding with a snarky reply of obvious affirmation. It was when he finished the last word, he'd tilt his head up and lean back with the paintbrush being settled down upon the table next to his craft when he would actually ignore inquiry as she had done his own and state the introduction he would make that included his name. It couldn't be helped as the curl of a smile tempted his face once more as he observed her current state of admonishment of his creation, it was the exact reaction that he was going for and if it worked with one lone Slytherin, the masses at the game wouldn't exactly be pleased to see such a display either.

The girl once again didn't respond to him, instead, she chose to get to her feet as one of the annoying professors deemed the situation that the gaggle of girls were entwined in was in need of interference. She turned and headed over towards that direction. Zykeal couldn't help but let his half-smile pull into a fully-fledged smirk when he watched her walk away to join the others, this girl, he thought, gave him the feeling like what it felt like when he played a game of chess. For now, he'd have to wait to let the paint dry; the Hot-Air Charm, 'Aer Calidus', would be learned in the second year he had read. One thing he could do as he waited for the shirt to dry though was to clean the stained fingers of his hand. With his clean hand, careful not to taint his majestic ivory-colored aspen wood wand with any sort of blemish, he'd withdraw his obsession and quickly drawl an 'S' as he aimed the wand towards his hand.

Quietly, hopefully not alerting anyone, he whispered, "Scourgify," and began to remove the paint that had coated his fingers, how sloppy of him, he thought, as his concentration lingered upon his spell until the paint was removed from himself. When he was finished, he'd shift his wand to the now clean hand and continue his lean against the back of his chair. Pulling his knee up, he'd lean the chair back so that its front two legs lifted off the ground and he rocked very slightly as his kneecap pitted itself against the table's edge. As per usual, his hand twisted the aspen wood wand through his fingers as a drummer would a drumstick and watch the girls from afar. A flicker of a blonde leaving the clearing caught his attention for a moment, but, he couldn't get a clear glimpse of the person before they had vanished from his field of vision. Whatever, he'd shift his attention to watching as the useless professors actually did their job for once. Zykeal had such a disdain for authority.

A quiet peaceful day seemed to be overrated during work hours. She had no idea why she even bothered to expect it was possible or bothered to try. @Ariana Walker was the first to move, instantly moving to her friend's rescue. The Gryffindor ignored the professor's presence, perhaps foolishly so, grabbed the Hufflepuff and screamed at her. Though she did not answer the question that Hjørdis had asked, her words were rather telling.

The Hufflepuff followed suit, yelling back and ignoring the professor too. The child went on about being friends, an Irish boy and how the slap hurt her more. It was a rather dramatic speech, full of feelings of betrayal, love and dates. Geesh, how old were they? They sounded like a bunch of angry sixteen year olds but she was pretty sure none of them even qualified as teens yet. This was like watching one of those muggle soap operas on TV. Hjørdis ought to just sit back and watch it play out, really. Was... May crushing on Ivy or... was she jealous of Ivy's relationship with Zykeal? Who knew at this point but Hjørdis just silently watched it play out, watching the drama. The professor was pretty sure that the slap hurt Ivy far more than it hurt May but May seemed to disagree.

Her eyes fell on the first student who actually spoke to her. @Ivy Bellamy. The silver haired Slytherin quirked an eyebrow at Ivy's explanation. It was simple, effective and to the point. Exactly what she appreciated in a response. And yet... it raised more questions than it answered. There was no explanation as to why May hit her, which could be because she had no idea. It just seemed out of place. It seemed almost as random as Ariana's description of 'She did nothing to you'.

Hjørdis sighed softly, "Are you okay?" She asked Ivy, noticing her cheek turning slightly pink. Another student appeared, a Gryffindor [@Aurelia Roberts] that Hjørdis did not really know well. As an observer, she added some input into the situation. This was the thing about witnesses. Witness testimonies were always interesting. She learned this during her time in the Ministry. People usually said something with conviction and it was often easy to believe but their minds could easily twist the situation. Simple things like a slap turning into a punch. Accounts started to change. This was the issue with all of the dangers that happened in Hogwarts over the past year. Everyone saw things a different way and accounts changed, thus the evidence became diluted and confused. Not that it mattered right now because Hjørdis had seen it for herself anyway but it was just something she noted as a point of interest. Really, studying students and their interactions was rather interesting... She should have been a psychologist. Nonetheless, the Professor nodded towards Aurelia to acknowledge her input.

Ivy seemed to be getting bombarded with comfort from fellow Gryffindors. If nothing else, at least she seemed to have friends on her side, which was probably very useful given one of her 'so called friends' was yelling about betrayals.

@May Moonstar was perhaps even more foolish. Despite the whole situation, she was still showing attitude. She acknowledged the slap, which was almost laughable because Hjørdis had seen it. She already knew that much. What she did not understand was why the hufflepuff would risk being kicked off the Quidditch team and risk the game she was meant to be playing tomorrow for such a thing? "Wow. Enlightening." She replied, sarcastically with a roll of her eyes. She wanted to respond in a far more sassy way but she resisted. The Hufflepuff was clearly rather upset by this issue. There was no signs of remorse in May's behaviour. Not a single apology, nothing. The badger was clearly in a temper and needed to calm down. And Hjørdis had just the perfect thing in mind for her. When someone needed to calm down, a bit of scrubbing came in hand.

"Since you enjoy using your hands, you'll be cleaning up this event once it's finished. Return here in two hours," Hjørdis responded, dismissing her and issuing her with a detention, since she seemed keen to have one. It would help her to calm down and hopefully realise that her actions were unnecessary.

She glanced over to the quietest student, "Do you have anything to add, Miss Evans?" @Sky Evans was surprisingly quiet, despite being named multiple times as someone who started this whole thing. There was no reason May could not use another volunteer to help clean up but Hjørdis opted to give her a chance.

The issue was not the disagreement. The issue was the fact that it resorted to rather unnecessary violence and became a spectacle that did not need to happen.

It seemed like the freckled girl either didn't realize he was talking to her, or was completely ignoring him as he invited her to the desserts. But she seemed to perk up at his introduction, which made him tilt his head slightly. His smile didn't falter though, maybe just becoming a bit more uncertain. As soon as she started speaking, though, things became clear.

Her heavy accent made his eyes widen slightly as he scrambled for an apology. She must be from Durmstrang, and it seemed like she didn't know English very well! He would've burst forth with sorry's if it didn't seem like she was trying really hard to put together her words. He instead bit his tongue and let her get through her words, despite feeling really bad that he had made her struggle to speak in the first place. He had never encountered someone who didn't speak English fluently - well, okay, not necessarily English - but he'd never encountered someone who didn't speak a language that he knew. He doubted she would know any Korean or Welsh.

When she looked around this time, he figured she must have friends around who actually spoke her language. Of course. "Nice to meet you, too, Greta," Aaron said, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly with his free hand. He felt his stomach flip a little this time for not speaking slower to help her, and he was wracking his brain to think about what proper mannerisms he should be displaying. Aaron took a huge bite of his cupcake, nodding along as she worked out her next words. Should he be speaking slow too? Should he just let her get back to her friends? What was the right move here? As she questioned where he was from, then apologized for her little English, he decided that he wouldn't let something like a language barrier stop him from making a new friend.

"Hogwarts," he said, putting a hand to his chest after swallowing the bite of his cupcake. He gestured to her next, "Uhm.. so, Durmstrang? That's cool... how old are you? Er, what year at school?" This was harder than he thought it would be. He wanted to be able to just instantly understand her, and she him, and wondered if there was a spell for that. "I'm going to be second year. Year two," he held up two fingers to clarify, hoping he didn't sound patronizing for the way he was speaking. "I'm twelve years old," at this, he used his cupcake hand to hold up one finger and the other hand still held a two. Would this be clear to her? He was scrambling at this point. Maybe he was trying to relay too much information. What would his age help her understand anyway? But.. numbers were universal.. right?

"Uh... do you want to go... draw?" Aaron used one of his hands to make a drawing gesture in the air, then pointed towards the crafting station with posters and markers. He thought maybe being able to draw stuff would help them communicate. He took another bite of his cupcake, almost finishing it off.
