Thank you to Willow for helping co-write!
As students set their gazes upon their territory for the next twenty days, they would see a vast sea of tents in various states of being set up. Off in the far distance, maybe they could see some unfamiliar students milling about tents that belonged to Ilvermorny and their soon-to-be opponents, Durmstrang. There was a rainbow of chaos below them, and it kind of felt like home since chaos always meant home at Hogwarts.

Every tent from the outside appeared to be the same, but this particular one stood out for a very specific reason. Overhanging the entrance was a banner that read “GO TEAM GO!” in yellow and black lettering. This is what would welcome several members of the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team. Although not all of the team would be in this tent, a good majority of them were.

Upon entering, the inside would appear about three times as big as the outside. It was enormous! Tall enough to accommodate the resident half-giant Quidditch Captain, and big enough to accommodate the other seven players taking up residence here as well. The main area that they walked into was home to a couple of brown sofas for hanging out together, and the decor was very warm and yellow just like the Hufflepuff Common Room. There were a few Hufflepuff crest banners and various badger paraphernalia scattered around the tent, just in case they forgot what house they were apart of. A few members of the tent had also brought some plants to make it even more homey. To build an environment of warmth and acceptance was something that badgers seemed to be proficient in, bringing an element of light wherever they went.

Beyond the main area, there were three rooms elevated by a step. Up and to the left, behind a simple curtain, was a room for the boys. It housed two beds, one of which was significantly larger than the other and took up most of the room. Up and to the right, behind another curtain, was a much larger bedroom for the girls. It held six beds in a line. Up and straight behind the main area was a small room with the teams’ brooms, Quidditch uniforms, equipment and a benched table for strategizing (or for staying up late and playing board games).

While they were here to have a fun summer trip, the main event was lingering in their heads. The upcoming game with Durmstrang. The school and its team were vastly mysterious, which made strategizing against them a bit harder. But with their win-loss ratio for this year, it wasn’t hard for the occupants of this tent to feel optimistic and confident going into the game. They had to be. They were no longer the Hufflepuff Quidditch team - they were the Hogwarts Quidditch Team.

Serena struggled with her trunk, heaving it behind her as she attempted to make her way over to the tent. Apparently, some of the Quidditch team members were staying together. It made the whole thing a lot easier, in all honesty. She was not entirely sure who she would have tented with otherwise. At least this helped take the decision out of it for her. Her eyes lit up as she noticed a banner over the tent, encouraging them in house colours. The grin on her face was evident of the excitement. It was quite a nervous experience too, in all honesty. But the fact that they had made it here - as the Quidditch Champions for Hogwarts 2020 - was a ringing endorsement that she never thought would happen. It was a dream at the start of the year. Winning even one game, catching even one snitch... they were all dreams, hopes, desires.

Never, not one in a million years, did Serena actually believe they would happen. Until they did. Each and every single thing happened. Not just in Quidditch, but in life. The incident of the common room attack was almost a distant memory by now. The scars from the campout that almost claimed her life were fading. She was healing. Not because of herself but because of those around her. Hufflepuff helped to heal her wounds. Each and every member of her house was someone she cared for - whether she knew them or not.

She was entering her fourth year at Hogwarts and that was only possible because of the house she was in. Together, they had beaten the odds. Together, they had showed the school that a badger was 'the other house', the 'weak house', the 'dumb house' or anything else. They were loyal, hard working and determined. They stuck together, they made the great friends, they defeated their enemies through sheer teamwork and love. They would kill the world with their kindness. A badger was not someone to mess with.

"WOAH, WHAT THE HECK? THIS IS SO COOL!" She screamed as she entered into the tent and saw the beautiful decor. It felt just like home. Not the one that her parents were at but the one she had found in Hogwarts. Dragging her trunk further in, she gave up before she got to the beds and dropped it in the main area. Sitting down on it, she panted softly, "Okay... I brought way too much..." She grumbled, unable to continue dragging it. Her arms were tired. She was not as strong as some of her housemates but that was the beauty of Hufflepuff. They relied on each other's strengths and countered each other's weaknesses. Together. Glancing over to her tentmates, she just waited for the others to pick their beds. Serena would take the last one, she was not really fussed where she slept as long as she had a roof over her head. "Holy smokes guys... Can you believe it...? We're the Hogwarts Representatives...?" She said talking more to herself, almost in disbelief and shock. It still had not hit her. They were no longer just the Hufflepuff team. In their match, they were playing as Hogwarts and boy, oh boy, it would be so cool if they could bring the trophy home to display in the castle they called home.

As excited as Atlas was for her adventurous summer ahead of her, it still felt a bit off not traveling with her parents. Every summer for as long as she could remember her family had gone on a long several month trip, jam packed with muggle and wizard activities, eating at every mom and pop, hole in the wall restaurant the could find and staying up til all ours of the night talking and enjoying the new environment. They were months she always looked forward to and ones she would never forget but this summer she had an obligation nay a privilege to join her team as they went up against Durmstrang.

She had only just been put on the team late this year which was still a strange concept to her. Strange that she was only a first year and already on her house team. Strange that growing up her father would ride around with her on his broom as they played a very one sided game of quidditch against stuffed animal opponents. Her family had always enjoyed watching Quidditch, even going to over a dozen professional games growing up but neither of her parents had ever had an interest of playing.

Quidditch was something Atlas got all to herself and she already had made some unforgettable friends here that she would no doubt get closer to over the summer. Popping the wheels out on the bottom of her trunk, Atlas started her trek through the maze of tents, a smile growing on her face as she watched students add their personal touch to the decorations making each tent feel like home.

Ethen had said his tent situation was taken care of, and although she wanted to spend more time with him she knew it best to keep her focus on the game and bond with her teammates. Pulling out a bag of fizzy wizzys from a care package/good luck basket her parents had sent at the end of term, Atlas popped one in her mouth as she mindlessly walked about moving her trunk out of the path of students rushing to find a tent.

Seconds later, Atlas felt a stinging on her knee and palms as she realized she had tripped over her own feet, connecting with the Earth as she planted into the ground, Fizzy Wizzys rolling haphazardly across the dirt.

"Off to a wonderful start..." She mumbled to herself a soft chuckle following as she heaved herself up brushing the dirt from her arms and pant leg. She was used to getting injured or scuffed up but the egregious loss of her fizzy wizzys was something that was hard to get over. Debating picking them up, Atlas decided against it as she continued her walk spotting the 'GO TEAM GO!' banner as her spirits picked up.

Rushing inside, Atlas let out a shrill gasp as she spun around trying to take in every detail and decoration all at once. The ceiling seemed to go on forever and the couches looked perfect for deep talks or perhaps even truth or dare. Seeing two curtains further into the tent, Atlas ran up opening the left curtain as she noticed only two beds, one significantly larger than the other as she realized her mistake quickly shutting the curtain as she moved to the right curtain drawing it open.

Seeing Serena on the far bed, Atlas waved taking the bed next to her as she pulled her trunk over to the foot of her bed. "Oh my god we are here! This is insane!" Atlas exclaimed still lost in a daze of wonder as she noticed each adorable detail in the room.

Plopping down on her bed, Atlas smushed her face into the pillows as she took a moment to relax and take in the moment. This year had been insane and she still had a pit in her stomach that her curse, still visible on her shoulder, would come back to bite her at some point but she would try to push all of that out of her head for a few weeks of fun and excitement. Sliding off the bed, Atlas let out an exasperated sigh as she opened her trunk pulling out her favorite comforter, fairy lights and photo tiles as she stuck them to the tent wall behind her headboard. Draping the lights around the edge of her bed frame and gently laying out her comforter, Atlas was ready to really get to know her teammates in hopes of becoming close friends.

Serena took a deep breath as she walked through the London Quidditch Stadium. She remembered coming here occasionally for games with her family. It was wild to think that later this month, the twelve-year-old would be participating in one of those games. She still couldn’t believe that she was even on the team. But here she was, ready for a summer of fun, but also hard work. Yes, there would need to be a lot of strategy involved to beat Durmstrang.

Sharing a tent together would leave even more time to create those strategies. And bonding with one’s teammates was also essential. Serena hoped that by sleeping under the same structure would help her to get to know her fellow badgers better. And, well, simply put, Serena didn’t have anywhere else to really go, beyond asking random people if she could join their tent. So, in a way, she was thankful that the team had chosen to have a tent.

Dragging her trunk along the ground, Serena began looking around for where exactly her home for the next 20 days was. She had chosen to wear a light pink t-shirt with the phrase ‘strawberry milk’ on it and a slightly darker pink plaid skirt. Also on her shoulder was a pink backpack that had a few items that she couldn’t fit into her trunk. And it completed the outfit, so why not?

Anyway, after a bit of searching, Serena spotted a banner with the words ‘GO TEAM GO!’ in yellow and black letters. Either this was it, or someone was very supportive of the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team. Still, it didn’t hurt to peek her head in. Worst-case scenario was that it was the wrong tent, and the inhabitants could poke her in the right direction.

So, Serena walked inside. It was huge, of course. Serena had been in a few wizarding tents before to not be surprised by it. It still amazed her, though. Looking around at the rest of the room, she noticed some extremely comfortable looking sofas. And the black and yellow decor, banners, and plants all suggested that Hufflepuffs were the occupants of this tent. It all felt very cozy.

Still, Serena wasn’t one-hundred percent sure that she was in the right place. And since there was no-one in the central area, she walked up the little step. However, upon noticing the small room with the Quidditch Team uniforms and brooms, Serena now felt safe to assume that this tent belonged to the Hogwarts Team. Because, as she just realized, here they didn’t only represent the House of Hufflepuff. No, here they represented the entire school. It was an honor that Serena wasn’t sure she deserved.

Shaking that self-doubt out of her head, Serena turned to the right, walking towards a curtain. Pulling it back, she noticed six beds straight in a row. Setting her trunk and bag on top of the third bed down the line, Serena also spied two of her teammates, Atlas Reid and Serena Towers.

While they were on the same team together, Serena wasn’t particularly close to either of the girls. However, it would feel awkward to not acknowledge them, so she gave them a little wave and a smile.

Serena would go over and talk to them later. First, she wanted to get her bed set-up. So, the twelve-year-old gently placed her trunk and bag on the floor near her bed. She first pulled out her pink comforter that was decorated with strawberries. Then, she spread it across the bed and pulled out a matching pillow to place on top. Next, she grabbed a picture of her with her parents, aunt, and uncle that was taken over winter break and stuck it to the wall above the bed. And finally, she took out her beloved stuffed animal Mr. Bun and set him on the bed. She then tucked her trunk and bag under her bed so that no-one would trip over it. Deeming her set-up good for now, Serena walked over to where the two girls were hanging out.

“Hey Atlas, hey Serena! I can’t believe that we’re going to get to play at the London Stadium! That’s so cool!” She exclaimed.

Aaron lugged his trunk across the campgrounds with his usual pep in his step. There was nothing in that moment that could bring him down. Even though it was sad that he wouldn't get to bunk with his best friend @Lydia Cooper, he was ecstatic to get the chance to spend some quality time with the Hufflepuff Quidditch team! Or at least the members that were choosing to stay in the same tent - which was a fair majority of them. Aaron was particularly excited to hang out with Willow and Atlas - the two good friends he had on the team. And hopefully he would get a chance to bond with all the others and become good friends with them as well!

It didn't take long to spot the banner outside of his designated tent. Apparently, the school was really cheering for them! The black-and-yellow lettering of the words really put a smile on his face as he approached the tent. It looked incredibly small to be housing eight members of the Quidditch team - especially given that their captain was half-giant - but he figured they could make it work. He pushed aside the entrance flap and lugged his trunk inside.

Aaron paused in the entrance, his eyes practically bugging out of his head. What in the world- HOW was this possible? The space was enormous! Much larger than the outside had given away! And then it hit him - magic! Of course there would be magic tents! He almost laughed at his own silliness, but instead just grinned to himself and pulled his trunk to the middle of the main room. He left it there, hearing chatter coming from the right where there was a curtain opened to a room. He peeked his head in and saw some of the girls on the Quidditch team, quickly deducing that this was their room. His room must be the one on the other side of the tent, but he could get settled later.

"Hey guys!" Aaron greeted, smiling warmly at all of them as he stepped into the room. He looked around, still very impressed by the tent being so big. Finally, his eyes settled on the girls themselves, recognizing all of them. Atlas - his fellow Blossom Ball cohort - was the girl he was most familiar with, but he knew Serena Towers from the little end-of-the-year party that Professor Jensen had organized in the Hufflepuff common room. He knew Serena Bowen from earlier in the year when he made friendship bracelets with her, Willow and their Head of House. It was crazy to think of all the friends he had made in his first year, and more importantly, how many of them were here on the team with him.

"You guys ready to kick some Durmstrang butt?" he asked jokingly, looking at some of their prideful outfits. He himself was wearing a short-sleeved yellow shirt and a pair of black cargo shorts that went down to his knees. He supposed he was also showing some house pride, looking like a bumble bee.

Atlas was overjoyed to see another one of her team members enter the girl's room as Serena Bowen made her way into the room. She had never really had a moment to get to know Serena but this summer was the best time there would be as she watched her teammate set up her bed with a far different color palette than Atlas but still a fun one. It was going to be an incredible summer and she knew without a doubt by the end of the summer she would have some fantastic close friends to start her second year at Hogwarts.

"I know it's crazy right! The stadium is huge! I'm not even sure I'll be able to see the quaffles flying at me!" Atlas replied to Serena's comment as she let out a loud laugh. "There is no other option except to win this game! We HAVE to win at this insane stadium and make Hogwarts proud!" She continued an oversized smile gleaming on her face.

At that moment, Atlas heard another team member enter the tent as she wondered who was showing up now although she didn't have to wait long at all for Aaron's familiar face to peek out from behind the curtain into their room.

"AARON!" Atlas loudly exclaimed as she jumped off the bed running over to him as she hugged him tightly. Aaron had been one of the closest friends she had made her first year at Hogwarts and she wanted nothing more than for them to become closer friends over the summer. He always had a positive aura around him that brightened her days and made her happy she knew him.

"Isn't this tent amazing?!" She yelled realizing she was being a bit loud as she lowered her voice and pulled away from the hug. "It is still unreal that we are HERE playing DURMSTRANG of all schools! We are the coolest!" Atlas boasted as she turned back to the girls in her room.

"But enough about the game what do you all want to do now while we are together and not dodging bludgers?"

In life there are choices that every single person has to make. Good or bad these choices tend to define a person, who they are, and how they act. Often times these choices can drastically change how a person is percieved. Why is this important? Well for Quinn today was one of those days. Not a day for his more often then not bad head space, or a day to be cuddling with Irene...no she was at home with his ma and da. Today was a day for Quinn to be stupid, to be goofy, to be his real self. The self he rarely got to show to others. Again you may be wondering why this is important?

"ARE MY FELLOW BADGERS READY TO KICK SOME FECKIN ASS!!" A mighty roar came from just outside the tent entrance as a booming and baritone voice came clearly through. Seconds later a very large individual burst through the entrance. This person was extremely tall with arms more like logs then limbs and a broad surprisingly built up frame that was only now visible because of the buttoned up yellow and black Hawaiian shirt they found from god knows where. Wearing khaki shorts, and their usual black shoes it was none other the red-headed and lively captain of team Hufflepuff. Decked out in his usual weird and goofy attire. It was a wonder where he even got some of the shirts or how he got them considering his immense size.

Despite looking more like a grown adult he was still indeed a child a very freckled and wild child, but a child none the less. A large goofy smile was plastered all over his face his emerald blue eyes alight with the competitive spirit and his usually curly neck length hair tied into a loose man bun. "Ah don't know about ye, but ah'm ready for carnage and mayhem!!" He laughed dramatically loud and boisterous for a change. A slight change from his usually somewhat calmer self. Loiking through the entire tent he b-lined it for one specific individual.

In the span of a couple seconds he had managed to close the distance between him and @Serena Towers before he suddenly picked her up off her feet and embraced her tightly. "Serena my friend!" He exclaimed joyously.

To fear the unknown is to fear progress, don't shy away from it. Embrace it and discover something new.

The grin on Serena's face never once faltered. In fact, it was only enhanced at the reaction of her team mates. They were all so excited too. It was incredible. They were here. Somehow. Champions of Hogwarts. They were representing their school at the grandest event that she had ever seen and it was exciting but also incredibly nervewrecking, in all honesty.

Most of her teammates were in younger years but she was pretty sure they were still, somehow, bigger than her for the most part. Though it came as absolutely no surprise to anyone that @Quinn Healy was far bigger than all of them - probably even combined. Serena almost fell off her trunk as she heard his mighty Irish accent echo through the tent. She was pretty sure that the Durmstrang team would be able to hear it even if they were on the other side of the stadium, just based on the sheer volume of it. A laugh escaped her as she went to greet him but he beat her to it. Within a moment, he was already at her side, picking her up and hugging her.

Squealing slight, "Quinn! You're gonna crush me!" She joked, laughing to show that she was not actually being crushed - though his embrace was much far stronger than she was used to from others, "I need my arms for the game!" She added, teasing him as she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him back. He was certainly stronger and bigger than her. But... hey, she only really needed one arm right. She just needed to catch the snitch with one hand. As long as he did not break both arms, it was fine! Probably. Eh, lets not risk it.

"Ahh, can you believe it though? We did it. We actually did it. We are the Hogwarts Champions!" She repeated her question, clearly in a bit of disbelief. It was still sinking in. They had beaten every other house to get here. It was not an easy feat but they had done it. Somehow. Under the excellence captaincy of Saskia and Quinn, they had managed to do it. It was now Quinn and Aaron's time to shine. But they were up against the hardest team they yet. Their opponents were a school known to be skilled at sports. Their reputation proceeded them.

But before that, they had two weeks of summer camp to enjoy and lots of friends around, "I hope there's good food... I'm hungry..." She complained - already getting hungry as she thought about the upcoming events, including the bbq, which was... tomorrow? The day after? She had no idea, she ought to have looked at the schedule. But she just wanted good food.

Hogwarts - despite the dangers - always had a good feast, at the very least. She could only hope it was the same for here. "Ahh, save that bed for me!" She replied, pointing to a random bed near @Serena Bowen and @Atlas Reid. Serena did not really care which bed was hers as long as she got one. She was just currently tied up - by Quinn's hug!

"Aye aye, Co-Captain. Ready here!"
She replied back to @Aaron Jones with a firm salute - which was definitely not military standard but hey, she had never been in the army. The symbolic gesture was enough for him to understand she was agreeing with him, at the very least. She was ready to kick some Durmstrang butt! Well... she was nervous, in all honesty but there was little she could do about that. All she could do now was just do her best. That was it.

Late. Oh Gods she was running so late. Even though they all arrived at the same time, Willow had gotten distracted saying hi to all her friends that she saw on the way to the tent. If someone said hi she couldn't not say hi and make sure they were doing ok! Even if she was hauling a suitcase across grass which wasn't exactly easy terrain to get a suitcase through. Once it was in her sights, it was really hard to miss with the giant banner on the outside. She even saw Quinn yell some kind of greeting before charging in. A small pout appeared, she just wanted to be in that tent! Against everything tell her to stop and continue to talk, she needed to get a move on. So she politely started giving simple head nods of greeting in order to finish her journey to her team.

She practically collapsed as soon as she entered the tent, dropping her suitcase off to the side. She was dressed to represent Hufflepuff, completely covered in yellow and black. Despite her distaste of wearing black, she made an exception for her family. She saw Quinn and Serena Towers hugging and quickly ran to pull Aaron into a hug. He had a special place in her heart ever since their practice together. "We made it!" She bounced over to hug Atlas, her special keeper buddy, "We're gonna kill it with blocking goals." Then finally pulling Serena Bowen into a hug. "I can't believe we're here." She turned to the rest of them and giggled, still bouncing. "I can't believe we're here! Well, not just at camp. But we're Hogwarts right now! We are all of Hogwarts. That's so exciting!" She beamed with pride, the ache and tiredness of traveling someone disappearing from her body.

"ATLAS!" It wasn't hard to mirror his friend's enthusiasm as she rushed over to him. He returned the hug she gave with equal gusto! He only winced a little bit when she shouted during the hug, probably not realizing that she was being so loud, but he knew exactly the reason behind it. They were here! At Hogwarts' summer camp! As Hogwarts Champions! "We really are!" Aaron agreed as they removed themselves from the hug and she spoke of being the coolest. When she asked what they should do next, so many thoughts flooded his mind. Board games. Cards. He hadn't been to a summer camp in so long, and was excited by the prospect of being a bit more free here than at school or at home.

Before he could offer up an activity to do, the voice of their Quidditch Captain boomed out and prompted Aaron to jump slightly. He turned around to face the rest of the tent in time to see the boy of the hour walk through the entrance - Quinn Healy, the resident part-giant of Hogwarts! Aaron's face lit up even more than before! He idolized Quinn greatly for his leadership skills, and the fact that he was an amazing Quidditch player!

"Carnage! Mayhem! The whole works!" Aaron roared out in agreement, pumping his fist in the air. When it came to people he looked up to, he had a tendency to become a bit of a parrot. Mirroring them in words and presence. As Co-Captain of the team now, he would have to work closely with Quinn, and that meant they would become friends, which Aaron was beyond excited for! He had only chatted with the boy a handful of times since getting his Co-Captain badge, and the time they spent here at camp would be real bonding time. This would be the chance to prove that he knew Quidditch strategy and really wanted to contribute big time to the game.

Quinn swooped over to seeker Serena, overtowering her as he enveloped her in an embrace. The sight of friendship kept a broad smile on Aaron's face and he nodded when she saluted him afterwards. Again, he was about to say more about what they should do when yet another person entered the tent. Willow! She rushed over to him and gave him a hug, which he returned gladly. "Welcome to the champion's tent!" he said with a laugh once their embrace was broken. He caught her eye with a genuine look of pride - he was so happy that they were on the same team and they were both Hogwarts champions. Willow and himself had come long ways for this - with her showing significant progress on her fears and Aaron having finally made it off the waitlist and even to Co-Captain!

Willow proceeded to hug some of the other tent occupants, including chaser Serena and Atlas. Aaron turned to the group as a whole, a huge smile on his face again. "So who's ready for some team bonding? I brought board games!"
