Oh the great freedom children can have when off to a summer-camp. Maybe art's and crafts, some coloring pages, or even a fun game of dodge-ball. Even though the students of Durmstrang, Ilvermorny, and Hogwarts would probably be having their own kind of fun, on the day of the amazing chess competition, Caroline would be writing a letter to the same guy she'd have to marry someday, the same and guy who'd never written back, and the same guy who thought it was all a joke. Are you having fun yet? Right when she had woken up, a small owl had been pecking at her with a letter in its beak. So much for chess day...

Dear Hello Henry,

I really don't know what to say about all of that. Though your're pretty lucky Ammi(her grandmother) isn't in my tent right now. If I had to be honest then I'd say good on you for taking charge, at least if it all goes well your actual family will be safe. Mom and Ammi would probably just go searching for some other pure-bloods I'm partially related too.its not like you could take me with you because that'd be utter stupidity Anyway, my family is just about tough love you know? Its easier to just do it for the family if not doing it means exile. If you don't mind me asking, what's Hogwarts like? From what I've heard its a monster breeding ground quite an interesting place. The Allurings were supposed to be prim and respectful but from the way you talk about them it sounds like a polar opposite. Its weird how not even knowing a person can make you feel like you trust them fully. Maybe pure-bloods never change, though I hope they will soon. I guess I can see you around the camp grounds if fate's willing or something. Have a good day I guess.

Whoever said emotions were simple was a stupid-ass person. Caroline really didn't know how to feel now, even if this Henry boy did find success in freedom from his own "Family" where would that leave her? Most likely blamed for the whole thing then shipped right back to school until Ammi found a new pure-blood suitor. What fun the future would hold then, Carol shuddered at the thought as she continued to write back a response to Henry, this time hoping his letter back wouldn't contain some kind of reminder to her most likely sealed fate, especially since seeing the subtle impact from his last letter.

I don't think I can blame you for all the stuff you mentioned in the last letter, especially since the Allurings just popped up like rats one day. Though I guess not growing up with pure-bloods can be an advantage, not having to deal with "heir duties" and all that, from what I know my mother almost got disowned. Of course, she'd never admit it to anyone but I dont think your the snitch type of person. Sorry if this does sounds weird but I just feel like this whole situation could be the definition of weird sometimes. Back to what I was trying to say, if writing to me is just to uncomfortable, then really, I couldn't blame you for not writing anymore. From how you describe Hogwarts it seems oddly like some kind of dream. Even though that Rappaport's Law is 'officially' gone, way to many people still hate the idea of immigrating with No-Maj or 'muggle' kind, hearing that Hogwarts is so- open? makes the thought of visiting the place even more foreign. I hope your real family can find some way to be truly happy. Especially your siblings since it seems like you do care about them a lot, though speaking of family I'm a little curious about your mom since I don't remember you talking about her much. I think I'll finish blabbing now, so just have a good day for me.

It had been almost a week until the Henry boy had written back to Carol, though if anyone had found out the serpent even been a bit worried, the situation could go from forty percent trouble to seventy percent trouble fast. As Caroline would scramble around her tent looking for a decent quill and ink, she'd be oblivious to the fact an inkwell had spilled all over her make-shift desk, leaving her parchment with dried black dots all over the page. To lazy to even search for more parchment Carol simply continued to write her letter, hoping that it wouldn't bother either of them that much.

Hi Henry,

I don't really think I can blame you for being a bit busy, though I really don't understand the concept of "hanging out" exactly. Sometimes I wish that I had a sibling, or even just a play-mate, I'd guess that if Ammi got to choose a play-mate they'd be an obedient snob. Even though I really do love family, the heir and linage stuff is a bit... annoying. Its not like I can just ask for a brake from it though, so you really are lucky when it comes to just finding out about that crap. I dont know why, but just the thought of actually leaving all this behind, it just sounds unreal. Hogwarts really does sound interesting, especially since its much more...open then Ilvermorny. Of course Hogwarts is much larger so being more open would also be quite necessary..my father step father is an auror, though mom herself is a dang good healer. I'm sorry about your mom anyway, and so I suppose speaking about my dad is quite fair. He's a Quidditch player, for a team in Texas to be exact. He's not even that far from where i live anyway, but Ammi just thinks he'll...corrupt me or something with him being "muggle-born" and all that. His whole family is full of no-mags, so when she calls them "outsiders" it really just means strangers since I really dont know them.. Speaking of father's, what's yours like? Another extra thing about my dad is how he absolutely loves caramel toffee, a little random, I know, but it just felt...fun to add. Camp was pretty much the definition of eh since my tent-mates were just, there. Britain seems like a very interesting place in general, so maybe i could visit you there someday. As for friends...few and far between so I'm hopeing this quill-pal thing can last. It was nice to see a letter come in today, so I hope a reply can come soon.

Dear, Carol

I'm sorry not to have written to you sooner and I hope you can understand but this will be the last or might be the last letter that I write to you.I just met the Alluring family for the first time and things went bad, my older brother found out about the arranged marriages and said some words before storming out. I don't know what's going to happen now but I don't think he will like it if I continued to write to you since he's already angry at my father for lying to us all these years. Again I'm so sorry and hope one day to make it up to you, I also hope you can see you father and his family sometime because they sound like nice and good people. I enjoyed being pen pals with you when we were and sorry for any letter I sent that may have sounded rude or like rubbish, I will truly miss writing to you and will never forget you. I wish you the best and hope you are able to escape your future as well, you sound truly like a amazing person.
