Ileen smiled wistfully at the other girl. “Haha thanks. Well…” She hesitated to put her thoughts into words. She had the impression the bad reputation of Slytherin was kind of reasonable, but she didn’t want to rub her opinion in everyone’s face. “Hufflepuff has a good reputation and you proof it right, I guess.” Ileen’s smile deepend and she turned to the lake, picking up another stone without throwing it. She enjoyed the smooth surface in the palms of her hand. She turned it thoughtfully back and forth. Yes, she liked to be here too, because the wide open spaces reminded her of home.
“Do you miss home sometimes? I do. I lived in New Zealand many years. But this place” She made a gesture that embraced the entire surrounding area. “It’s so amazing, it’s hard to keep missing home.”

With a shrug she turned to Eira. She actually enjoyed the open and calm company of the girl. “If you need help with studying, I can jump in, if you want.” If was an offer that just slipped out of her mouth. She was studying every day anyways - mostly alone or with Dee but some company might be nice sometimes? She hoped she didn’t sacer the other girl away with that.
“Of course, only if you want. I would probably also do other things If there was something more interesting to do.”
She pointed back to the castle. “What do you think? Should we go back in and have breakfast?”
If Eira would agree Ileen would walk back to the castle, feeling lighter and warm this morning.
