It had been a wonderful day and an eventful game. Most of the audience started to clear the stadium and make their way home. Aurélie decided it was a good time to go to her tent and change into something more comfortable. During the game, Aurélie had met a boy from the Slytherin house, Henry Knight. They got acquainted and planned to meet up after the game somewhere at the camp. The Scottish girl felt thrilled she was going to see him again and so, quickly left the Quidditch Stadium and found her way back to the tents.

Rummaging though her luggage she found a white button-up dress that seemed fit for the evening. She paired it with a knitted blue cardigan, which happened to be the same blue Henry’s eyes were, and a pair of white strappy sandals. Look at that, this sweater matches Henry’s eyes, the girl smiled when she unpacked it and thought it was a nice touch of colour. Hmm, perhaps I could bring some of those cookies Nanna made. Out of a cool container, Aurélie grabbed a zip lock bag filled with two kinds of cookies. One kind was chocolate chip and the other had raspberry jam filling. Carefully, she packed the bag of cookies into a white tote bag, together with other some trinkets like lip-gloss, a few bobby pins and a bottle of lemonade. In her bag was also a book she was reading. It was novel about a murderer and a detective. She left it in the tote bag in case she would have to wait a while.

After changing into her outfit and wiping off the Hufflepuff-coloured stripes from her face, she tried to make her hair look a bit more decent. Alas, she remembered she hadn’t brought hair ties so she looked around the tent to find something she could use. After trying to style up her hair with bobby pins and failing every attempt, she gave up on the idea and left it wild and untamed as before. Time to go! Aurélie marched in between the tents and could hear students were already celebrating the victor of the Quidditch game. The girl was going to do the same but it would be at the Celebration Party later on. She had planned to attend with Henry so she hoped their meet-up tonight would go well so he wouldn’t cancel for the party. After walking through the camp for some time, Aurélie realised the two hadn’t specifically talked about where they would meet each other. Somewhere around the camp.. Well, the camp is kinda big. Overlooking part of the camp and seeing if she could spot a familiar face, Aurélie noticed an oak tree standing at the side of a green tent. The tree was quite centred in the camp and visible from most paths so she decided to wait for the Slytherin there. Approaching the oak tree, the girl took out the bottle of lemonade from her tote bag and took a sip before putting it back. She sat down on a big root that stuck out from earth and ran across the grass. Although It was covered in moss, Aurélie wasn’t someone who’s afraid of getting dirty so she sat down on it and examined her surroundings. In the background were the sounds of people partying and singing, music playing, birds chirping and owls hooting…

When the game ended, many people started to head back to their tents while others stayed and chatted among them selves, Henry told the two students he have met at the match goodbye and wished to see them again once the term started again. Then Henry rushed past group of teens and tweens taking their time, as he jog or almost ran back to his tent. Where he dropped his camera bag on his bunk and took off his greenish jacket, that he also dropped on his bunk. Henry scanned the tent and noticed that his tentmates and best friends were still out, so he kneeled on the floor besides his bunk and popped opened his trunk as he started to look for another shirt. He didn't want to spend to much time at his tent since he told Aurélie that he'll meet her before the celebration party but he also didn't want to meet her without changing because he figure she would probably change and he didn't want to seem like his family was poor, even through they were. So he decided to keep his jeans on as he looked for a nice shirt, he found a red flannel and white shirt after a while and thought that looked like something, someone would wear to the party. They looked a bit faded but otherwise fine, as he took off his grey shirt then pulled the white shirt on, before he quickly pulled on the red flannel leaving it unbuttoned. He retied his light blue shoes and combed back his hair a bit with a comb he found in his trunk, then closed it before he grab his messager type bag and sat on his bunk. He search the bag for a necklace that his mum gave him, he finally found it and looked at it quickly; a rusted golden symbol of a sun. It almost matched Aurélie eyes, maybe it did once when it was new, Henry placed it over his neck then stood up as he looked down at the sort of baggy red flannel that he guessed recently belong to Arthur, Arthur did fill out a lot more then me but hopefully Aurélie doesn't notice, as Henry wrote a quick note to his tentmates to tell them where he was going then grab his wand and put it his back jean pocket before running out of the door. He tried to stay calm but then he remember that they didn't set a extract place so Henry canned his neck looking for the girl with bright golden eyes, after a while he saw her by a large tree, in a white dress and blue sweater holding a tote bag, wow she looks truly stunning and beautiful and yet I look horrid maybe I should go, stop it Henry don't let your thoughts stop you now. Henry approached Aurélie as he spoke " I hope I'm not late, you look amazing."

Aurélie absorbed all the sounds from the camp and the forest surrounding it, when she heard a familiar voice; “I hope I’m not late, you look amazing.” Aurélie turned her head to the direction fof the voice and smiled when she saw Henry. The first thing that popped in Aurélie’s mind was that he looked very handsome and the red flannel he wore gave a cool feel to his look. “Thanks Henry. You look handsome yourself”, she complimented him. A soft chuckle and she said; “You’re not late, I’m just early.”

Aurélie had some trouble with finding words so she thought of where they could go, they couldn’t just sit on a tree the whole time. Suddenly, she recalled seeing a small pond when she had been wandering around the forest a few days before. It was surrounded by trees, flowers and had a couple of wooden benches placed around the side. “Do you want to see something beautiful? I found this place, it’s not far from here.”, Aurélie asked as she looked in Henry’s wonderfully blue eyes. Just like I memorized them, but even more lovely in person.. Stop it, if anyone could hear you… breathe and focus. The girl stood up from the tree root and wiped the dirt off her clothes. Picking up her white tote bag, she remembered that she brought cookies and told herself she would get them out when they arrived at the lake.

Henry smiled as the girl complimented him, he still sort if felt embarrassed whenever someone did that as he replied "thanks, and sorry if I made you wait long," Henry didn't know what else to say as he was sort if flustered, as he stared into her golden sen eyes and got sort of lost in them. Henry couldn't help but think how her eyes could lit up the darkness around them, as the sun was sinking low while the moon rose higher into the sky, and almost reflected off her golden sun eyes. Henry then noticed that she had a small, moon charm necklace around her neck something that Henry thought looked nice and he wanted to say something about it but wasn't sure if he should as his thoughts started to spiral around his head for the first time that he was with her, her necklace is so beautiful maybe I should say something or not, her dress and sweater is also beautiful to and they almost compliment her golden highlights which seems to be just a little bit lighter than her golden sun eyes, that seem to be illuminating in the dark, ugh shut up Henry. Stop messing things up for yourself and just act normal for once, he got pulled from his thoughts when he heard Aurélie say “Do you want to see something beautiful? I found this place, it’s not far from here.” Henry looked up at the girl's golden sun eyes as he tried not to get lost in them as he spoke " uh, sure lead the way. I think that's what people say, I'm not quite sure but it sort of sounds adventurous." Henry couldn't help but laugh a bit as he continue to stare and sort of get lost in the young girl's golden sun eyes.

You didn’t, no worries”, Aurélie replied to Henry so he didn’t think she had been there long. It had only been a couple of minutes. Aurélie caught Henry staring at her. Did I do something? Maybe there’s something on my face, that’s typical me.. He looks like he’s thinking or wants to say something. Aurélie was pulled back into the present when Henry said; “uh, sure lead the way. I think that’s what people say, I’m not quite sure but it sort of sounds adventurous.“Perfect, On y va!”, she replied but soon realised not everyone speaks French. Although she recalled Henry calling her golden boulanger so maybe he did speak the language. Just in case he didn’t know what it meant, she shrugged as to apologise and added; “Uh, that means let’s go.” Aurélie lead the boy to the direction of the hidden pond. It took her a few moments to remember exactly which paths she took the first time she went there. It was an accidental discovery but those were usually the best. Aurélie liked hiking and wandering to end up finding places she had never seen before. It had taken her a while to get back the courage to adventure by herself. Last time she did, it didn’t end very well for her.

When Aurélie and Henry walked together, the girl noticed he was wearing a gold necklace. It had a symbol of a sun on it. “Can I see the necklace you are wearing?”, the girl asked and slowed her pace. She had the reflex to move her hand toward the necklace but she didn’t want to make Henry uncomfortable or invade his private space. Instead, she subconciously moved her hand to her own necklace and twirled it between her fingers.

Henry couldn't help but chuckle a bit when Aurélie told him what she just have said in French, Henry smiled to her as he begun to follow her to the place he spoke " I don't know much but I do know some french, I have a few books in French that's how I can understand and speak a few words but I would love to learn more. Maybe sometime at Hogwarts you can teach me french and I can answer any questions you have about the wizarding world." As they walked Henry couldn't help but noticed how her curly brown hair with golden highlights bounced in the wind as they walked, Henry thought it look white adventurous or beautiful even but he didn't know if he should say something. As they continue to walk in silence,
Henry enjoyed it ad the smell from the woods filled his nose and Aurélie's golden sun like eyes filled his sight. He got pulled from this when he heard Aurélie speak “Can I see the necklace you are wearing?” Henry looked at the girl a bit as he instinctively put his left hand upon the pendant of his necklace, as he saw Aurélie touch her own which was in the shape of a moon. Henry thought maybe then was a chance to say it was beautiful and ask where he got it but again he had conflicted thoughts in his head, as he felt the coldness of the pendant upon his hand. Henry took a deep breath then slowly came to a halt and took off his necklace as he slowly handed Aurélie the necklace, while he trusted her and thought she was one of the most beautiful people he ever met, especially how her golden sun eyes illuminated, he still was a bit worried since he only trust one other person with it and that was his best plus childhood friend. As Henry watched Aurélie plus his necklace he spoke softly " it's a pendant with symbol of a sun on it. My mum gave it to me when I was 6, before she... before the- uh," Henry quickly stopped talking as he couldn't bring himself to say anything else, after a few minutes of breathing Henry finally spoke, quieter " your necklace is beautiful by the way, uh does it have a adventure or history to go with it."

A slight feeling of embarrassment washed over Aurélie when Henry told her he did understand some French. She brushed it off by asking him; “Yeah, I can teach you if you like and I will most likely have plenty of questions when I’m at Hogwarts. What kind of books do you like to read?” Absently, she stroke her right arm, the fabric of the sweater was itching her scars but she didn’t want Henry to see them so she kept it on despite the annoying itch.

The Scottish girl noticed the boy’s hesitation when she asked about his necklace. Upon mentioning it, he immediately touched the pendant as to keep it safe. Aurélie didn’t want to make him feel uneasy about it so she thought of retracting her question. However, Henry stopped walking and slowly lifted the necklace over his head and handed it to Aurélie. Aurélie held it carefully in her cupped hands and took a closer look at it while Henry told her about it; “It’s a pendant with a symbol of a sun on it. My mum gave it to me when I was six, before she… before the- uh,” A moment of silence passed and Aurélie figured the necklace meant a lot to the Slytherin. Bloody hell, why did I have to ask.. I should mind my own business. Now he feels bad because it reminds him of something painful. I wonder what happened..

It’s wonderful, Henry. Can I ask,- Did you lose your mum?” Aurélie didn’t ask how he lost his mum because that would rude, it’s private and clearly Henry felt torn about it. On the other hand, she didn’t want to ignore what he told her because she felt with him and wanted him to know that it was safe with her to talk about that stuff, if he needed to. Losing her own parents wasn’t a good memory for Aurélie either but she was only one at the time so she couldn’t recall much about them. All her life she had been with her nan but she could imagine how heartbroken she would be when she would pass away. “You don’t have to talk about it if you prefer. But you can always come to me when you need a chat.. or a hug.” Aurélie gave Henry a soft smile and looked back at the pendant as she carefully handed it back to him; “Here, you should keep it safe.” After Aurélie slowly placed the necklace in Henry’s hands, she brushed her hand on his to comfort him. After the sweet gesture, the girl stroked a few strands of her hair behind her ear and replied to Henry’s compliment about her own necklace.

Aurélie stared into the distance and thought of the day she received the pendant. The pendant was shaped like a half moon and had a single rhinestone embedded in the centre. Around the stone were marking that made it appear it be a tiny sun. The gold from the moon shape stood out against the shimmery rhinestone. She looked back at Henry, taking of the necklace and giving it to him, she spoke;” Thank you. It does have a story actually. In the beginning of this year I had this… incident and I had to go to the hospital. My nan gave me this after I woke up and told me it would help me remember how strong I can be.” Aurélie paused for a moment to think of what her nan said when she gifted it to her. She continued; “She said ‘You can’t go back and change the beginning. But you can start where you are and change the ending’.” Aurélie laughed at her own words and added; “Yeah, she always had a rhyme that fit the occasion.”

The girl noticed the sky above was darkening and the air around them carried a breeze passed her face. She could smell the fresh scent of wood, grass and wet dirt. “I think it’s starting to rain, we should go on to the p- to that place.” Great, I almost spoiled it. I hope there’s cover at the pond or we will be soaking wet by the end of the night.

As Henry took back his necklace and carefully sipped it back over his neck, he saw Aurélie passed him her own and listened as she told him the story behind it, he smiled at her ad he thought the necklace looked kind of magical. As he handed her pack the necklace, he spoke " that sounds like a amazing story and your necklace seems magical, also that quote sounds inspiring. It must be cool to have someone who always knows what to say for every situation or occsioan." As they begun to wall again, Henry thought about what she have said, about being able to tell her stuff, he could feel is nerves and worries growing as he wonder if he should tell her the story that only his first friend who was also his childhood friend knew. Henry heard Aurélie mention something about the rain, and Henry look to the sky and saw the clouds forming as single raindrops fell and landed occasionally around them which made Henry chuckle a hit as he spoke " hopefully your spot as cover or were going to look like we were swimming before the celebration party."

As Henry continued to walk in silence with Aurélie he noticed how her brownish hair with golden highlights danced in the wind and how her golden sun like eyes still glowed as the night started to set in, after a while Henry came to another halt and looked at Aurélie's golden sun eyes as he spoke " earlier you asked how I lost my mum, only one other person who's not related to me knows that story and their my first friend before Hogwarts," He paused to take a breath before continuing "but, after chatting with you for a while I feel like I could tell you because I feel you also have a story like me. A story that you want to forget but can't as something serves as a reminder, just promise me that this stays our secret," Henry then took another breath before continuing" My sister and I were 6, my brother was 13 when the three of us plus our mum and father were stargazing one night in a field near our house. The night sky was so clear, there were so many stars and the moon was a full moon, and for a moment everything was perfect but then...but then," Henry paused again as he took another breath and placed his left hand on his pendant as he felt the pendant in his left hand he continued " two werewolves attacked my family, my father fought off one while my mum fought off the other but it overpowered her and as it did, my siblings and I froze in fear instead of running as we watched-" Henry paused as he clutched his pendant harder and took a deep breath before speaking, softly again " our mum get killed by the werewolf... then after instead of running like my siblings, I froze and the wolf came after me and clawed me, turning me into a werewolf." Henry let go of the pendant as he became more relaxed as he continued speaking " I still have the scar along my chest, it's right below my collar bone so you can't really see it, but I'm not like most werewolves you either read or hear about. I'm kind and won't hurt you and on a full moon I take this specific potion so I can retain my mind and then stay either in this room under my house or the shack at Hogwarts which is a safe place for many werewolves, " as he started walking with Aurélie again, he then spoke after a few minutes " I wouldn't say tons, but multiple of my friends know I'm a werewolf, I'm not ashamed but that's not the first thing I say either since many still have prejudice against werewolves so I wait a while till I get to know someone before telling them. What most people don't know is the story on how I became a werewolf so I would much appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone, please. Also not to press but what was the situation that led you to your necklace. You don't need to tell me if you don't want to, but you also know that you can come to me whenever to chat or for a hug."

Aurélie listened to Henry's heartbreaking story and she was speechless. "I'm so sorry you lost her Henry.." What do I say? Should I tell him about- I don't know.. Maybe? Aurélie's thoughts spinned back and forth like there was a storm inside her head. The girl wanted to respond to the boy but what could she possibly say to that. "I uh, I think it's very brave that you told me and you don't need to worry because I won't tell anyone. I'm a good secret keeper. Cross my heart and hope to die." Aurélie traced a cross on her chest with her fingers and stared into Henry's eyes. Those blue eyes.. I feel like I am looking into his soul. I could get lost in those puddles of blue.. now is not the time to change the subject dummy. Just tell him! Aurélie picked up her pace to catch up to Henry when he continued to walk. "You said there is a place for werewolves at Hogwarts? So, you are not the only one? And the school helps you when-, when the moon is full?" Aurélie thought about her questions after she said them aloud. Maybe it's safer at Hogwarts than I thought.. Okay, here goes. Maybe Henry can help me figure out how to continue

The young girl abruptly stopped in place and tugged on Henry's arm to let him know she came to a halt. Taking a deep, slow breath to calm her nerves and then, in a shaky but soft voice she spoke; "About my necklace.. Um, I'm- I don't think I'm ready to tell anyone yet but I want to show you.." Aurélie looked Henry in his magnetizing eyes and put down her tote bag on the wet grass. With both hands she reached up to the rims of her blue cardigan and she slowly took it off. When revealing her right arm, three scars became visible. One was nearly the length of her upper arm, it started under her schoulder and progressed all the way to the inner side of her elbow. The two other scars were slimmer and shorter but traced parallel to the biggest one. Aurélie's left hand instinctively covered them up but she stroked her arm to gain some confidence and showed them to Henry. "I have more on my waist.", the girl added quietly. Unlike Henry, she was ashamed. The memory of that night played in her head every time she looked at the scars. She couldn't remember much since she blacked out but the feeling of her flesh being torn apart, that was a feeling she would never forget.. To continue, Aurélie told Henry about the incident; "I was at a bakery festival with nan and I had been looking for a specific ingredient all day when I finally ran into a merchant who promised me he had it. So, I accompanied him into this alley.. He was just so friendly and he seemed like a decent man.." Aurélie had to pause to catch her breath. She could feel herself starting to cry at the thought of the horror. "How could I have been so stupid?! I shouldn't have believed what he said.." Aurélie burst into tears as she revealed her feelings about that night. She wasn't ashamed of having the scars or being a werewolf but the fact that she hadn't seen the monster's true intent was making her feel like a stupid kid. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be crying over this. Its' way worse how your family was attacked, and you.. I just.." Aurélie sighed and wiped away some of the tears that rolled down her cheeks. "Pfffh.. Okay, so..went into that alley with him and it was dark and cold, I couldn't see a thing but I could hear this.. noise. Like a growling. It intensified and when I turned around I felt his claws slash my waist and arm and- I can't remember much after that, I just remember how cold I was and I woke up in the hospital." Aurélie swiftly glanced up at Henry, she didn't dare look him in the eye. Even though she knew he was the same as her, she was too ashamed of herself for taking the bait. "I guess it was his plan from the start, to lure me there or something.. Well, it worked." The girl said that last part with sarcasm. "I don't think you're a monster Henry, I really don't and me neither but that man.. That was a real monster.." Aurélie put her cardigan back on and brushed her arm above the fabric. Everytime she thought about it, subconciously she would rub over her scars.

Henry felt a tug on his arm so he stopped and turned to face Aurélie, who he noticed also had stopped. As he stared into her Holden sun eyes, he could tell her was nervous so he gave her a comforting smile and then she started talk and as he talk Henry felt he was staring at the girl's eyes for to long as his sadness grew and he felt like tears were hanging over his eyes. He tried to keep a small but comforting smile and somehow, deep down he knee his she felt and when she finished. Henry didn't know what to say or if he should say anything but he knew he had to comfort her, so he placed his left hand on her left shoulder and rubbed it slightly, in a comforting and way and carefully while also lightly grabbed the young girl's right hand and held it in his own right. He then looked into her golden sun like eyes as he smile a small comforting smile to her then spoke in a soft and kind voice, "
what happen to you wasn't your fault and it's ok to cry over it, no matter the circumstances. Thank you for telling even through you didn't need to, that must have been hard and I know how you feel but it isn't your fault that you were attack, you weren't stupid then and you aren't stupid now."
Henry paused as he continued to smile at her, comfortably before continuing " while most have access to wolfbane potions and hide away during full moons to ensure that they don't hurt anybody, their are a few, mostly during the wizarding wars who chose not to take the potion or hide away and instead they chose a spot close to their targets or allure them away before they transform to ensure that they attack them. That man was one them and getting others to follow him is what he does, that wasn't your fault and some would even say your lucky that he only clawed or bit you then left, because, " Henry paused and took a breath before continuing " because there are some that target younger children and either place themselves around them before a full moon or call them away from others before turning and biting them. Then after they carry that child away and rise them to despise humans and live a salvage life," Henry paused again then smiled as he continued " but luckily there are very few of those types ever since you know who was defeated and the 2nd wizarding war ended. Now most werewolves are like us, who are normal and don't want to hurt anyone," Henry took another breath then continued to speak " while your scars mat remind you of pain or stupidity now, soon they won't and they will remind you of how intelligent, beautiful, and unique you are. Because I felt the same way you did, while most believed my family was targeted by dark wizards because my mum was a auror that didn't change the felt that everytime I felt or saw my scar, I saw the reason, the night that she died but after a while and from the help from others while occasionally I still see that, I mostly see a story or how different I am. And I will help you get thought yours, if you like," Henry then paused as he smiled a bit more widely before saying " Hogwarts is the safest place for werewolves besides our homes, while their isn't many there are still multiple students who are werewolves and on full moons, a professor will escort you to this tree known as the whomping willow and then you go through a tunnel on the stump to this place known as the shrieking shack and it's in that building where you stay to transform and some of us have a pretty fun and safe night there." Henry paused to take another breath then continued " I can transform with you in the shack when the term starts again and help you through it, I also are friends with two other werewolves; Miranda who is very pound if being a werewolf and is the coleader with me for this club we started for werewolves called the pack which you should totally join, trust me you will have a lot of fun and get to know more about our condition.
And the other is Altair who is a bit ashamed if being a werewolf but she's wanting up, anyway the point is your not alone and me, as well as others will help you through it. I promise, and I rarely break a promise."
Henry then smiled as he pulled Aurélie into a tight, comforting hug.
