Hunger Games
Despite her utter exhaustion, Anastasia Beckett was, for once in her life, in a state that vaguely resembled happiness. She was finely caught up on schoolwork, meaning that there would be less need for her insane caffeine levels and sleep deprivation. She hardly remembered what sleeping for an entire night felt like anymore. She'd decided to celebrate by finally making Rafa and Ruby meet each other. They'd managed to always just miss one another since there wasn't much overlap between the two's schedules. Ana and Ruby were in class together most of the time, and in the morning and evenings, Ana and Rafa would be wherever it was the Gryffindors were meant to be at that point in time.Private Roleplay between Anastasia Beckett, @Rafael D'Spacito , and @Ruby Cazares

Ana hadn't had the energy to devote to introducing them while she'd been absorbed in schoolwork, but now that she was out of that and had a small break before she dove back in for exams. She could hardly wait for them to meet. She'd sent word to both of them around 1 am when she had finished her last assignment to meet her for breakfast. She honestly couldn't remember if she had told either of them that they were going to meet the other, but she didn't think it mattered. They were bound to get along perfectly. She just knew there was no way they could possibly do anything else since she liked both of them so much.
She made her way down to the dining hall, looking unusually casual. Her normal pinks and florals and skirts had been replaced by a pair of leggings and a Gryffindor red sweater she had gotten in New York. Her hair was in a side braid that she had lazily done when she woke up. She would go back up to her room and change later, but right now, she just wanted food and to see her friends. She also wouldn't be able to stand missing her two favorite people meeting each other for the first time.
Jaz walked beside her, occasionally hissing at a student as they passed. Ana had been somewhat skeptical at the idea of walking a cat on a leash, but she had done some research and that was apparently normal for Bengals, and Jaz seemed to like it alright. She'd decided that it was far past time for Ruby to meet Jaz. Jaz and Rafa had already met, and Rafa was one of the few people other than Ana that she hadn't attempted to eat. This was going to be absolutely perfect.
Anastasia arrived and saw no sign of either of her friends. It occurred to her that, in her sleep-deprived state, she may not have given either of them a location or time to meet. That would work itself out, she supposed. Taking her normal seat at the Gryffindor table, she began to sip her usual cup vat of coffee. She could almost feel her soul returning to her body and her brain turning back on as she drank the elixir of life. Food would also be good, but she decided she would wait for a bit to see if either of her friends turned up.

It was always nice to wake up to owl droppings.
Really, Rafa didn’t ask for a lot. In fact, he felt as if he were a simple fellow, in the way that he didn’t confuse people with his expectations. After all, he’d been known to take quite a few hits, and put up with a lot of people’s shit, especially at his time attending Hogwarts. Seriously, were his requests so much to fulfill? Was it possible that he could endure the length of an entire class without someone disturbing him? Have one successful study session in the common room? Sleep, without being disturbed? Alas, it seemed as if the universe had been against him from beginning. He’d expected just as much, of course, the likes of which was more than evident in his subtle mental preparation and anticipation in every endeavor he suffered through. Still, it wasn’t very comforting to know that he was most likely cursed, a subliminal fact that brought him great aggravation.
It had been one in the freaking morning when the owl had, had [reducio]dive bombed [/reducio]him. He’d been sleeping, innocently slumbering, going about his dreams of killing Jack Burnett. Trying to regain some fucking strength, the very same he’d been drained of in the latest Quidditch Practice. And he’d felt it, cold, chunky, wet across his face – the narrator will spare any innocent readers the gruesome details, as to honor their innocent senses. To put it simply, the boy had never been so terrified in his life. The feeling had utterly wrenched him from his sleep, his eyes going wide in shock and mouth gaping as he grasped with his hand for what had landed on his face. It wasn’t exactly the most optimal way to start the day, he would later decide, when he was in a better state of mind.
A trip to the dormitory bathroom later, he’d returned, lighting a lamp on his bedside and situating his glasses upon his face so that he could properly read what had been sent to him. After all, the owl hadn’t come for just any reason. However, upon reading of the name scrawled upon the parchment, he found himself utterly shocked, more shaken than any bird-turd could ever hope to leave him. Why would Anastasia wake him up in the middle of the night? It was strange, fickle – really, he shouldn’t have been terribly surprised. After all, she was quite the crazy girl, her very personality being the reason the Captain was so attracted towards her livelihood. She was certainly going to hear it, he decided saltily. However, he could do nothing to stay preoccupied with such vengeful thoughts, as his eyes had quickly read the notif in which she had sent – she wanted to have breakfast with him? Such an idea garnered a smile, albeit halted. Sounds fun, he decided. All was forgiven, as long as nothing strange or abnormal happened during their get-together.
It was later in the morning, particularly about 9 am, that he would make it down to the Great Hall, eyes bright as he searched for the girl in which he was to dine with. Admittingly, he usually didn’t get up this early on a Saturday. However, knowing Anastasia, or rather, not knowing Anastasia, he would have to get up rather early, in which to catch her at an optimal time. Tucking his hoodie over his head, he chewing his lip, searching for his newfound bestie. Where was she? It wasn’t like the girl had sent him a date or location, but did such really matter? He knew where she frequented. Alas, his suspicions would shortly prove to be true. For, there she was, sitting at the Gryffindor Table and sipping her coffee.
He walked up to her with a smile on his face, albeit a bit of a sarcastic one. She was still going to get it. Setting himself down right in front of her, he raised an eyebrow, an unimpressed gaze upon his face. “One in the morning,” he started drily, nodding in her direction. “That’s low. Good thing we’re friends, it’s a wonder you can get away with such acts unscathed.” He would proceed to take a goblet, pouring himself some coffee. “I mean, what does one do awake at one in the morning? You didn’t have anything else to do?” It was a gentle prod, more than evident in the subtle grin that danced upon his features, the mischievous glint in his eye. He would continue to dress his plate, giving himself some sausage, as well as eggs and bacon. A hearty, calorie-full breakfast, one he would most likely burn off in his upcoming Quidditch Practice. After all, it was quite evident by his strong build that calories didn’t matter much in the long run…

Hunger Games
~ * ~Ruby covered her mouth as she yawned, walking through the corridors in the direction of the Great Hall. She had not slept well, waking up frequently. It was made worse by the interruption of Ana's note at 1 am. One in the morning? Seriously? Why? She had just been getting back to sleep again. What was even so important? She said it was just breakfast, yet she sent an owl about it at one.
Normally, Ruby woke up early. However, normally, she also slept consistently instead of fitfully through the night. Getting up was usually no problem, but today it was hard, and she had barely managed to drag herself to the Great Hall around 9. Hopefully, she didn't miss Ana, but she doubted that her friend would get up much earlier than this, especially if she was sending letters at that ridiculous time.
Heading in, she scanned the large room for her best friend and spotted her quickly. She neared Ana when she saw some other kid sit down next to her. Who was he? Ana had arranged to have breakfast with Ruby, not whoever this boy thought he was. He was in the seat that was meant for her. She was already grouchy from her tiredness and her reasoning was clouded by that, as well as this newfound anger at the boy's actions. It was something more than that—although she refused to admit it, she was jealous. Was Ruby being replaced? Was she no longer Ana's best friend? What was going on here?
Not thinking, she attempted to shove the boy out of his seat and under the table, hopefully succeeding due to the surprise of it. She sat down in his spot and smiled brightly at Ana. “Is this Jaz?” she asked, her tone cheerful as she looked at Ana's cat and acted as though she hadn't just struck the Gryffindor's friend.~ * ~

God, it was early. Ana's eyelids were heavy and she was somewhat doubting how badly she needed her friends to meet. Sure, it would be amazing and perfect for her two favorite people to meet, but also, sleep was amazing. Her head rested in her left hand as she continued to sip her coffee. She was normally a morning person, but seeing as she'd been up past one and had to wake up around eight to make sure she caught both of her friends, she was drooping significantly. Maybe she would take a nap this afternoon. God, a nap sounded amazing right about now.
She glanced over sleepily and saw Rafael approaching. She yawned before grinning at him. He seemed less than pleased with the timing of her letter. "Oh, I'm sorry, did I interupt your beauty sleep?" Ana laughed before swallowing another gulp of coffee. "And I get away with it because I am just such a lovely friend and really lovely person." The sarcasm dripped from her voice as she began to fill her plate with who knew what. She picked up something that was probably a pastry or bread product and began tearing off pieces and dipping them in her coffee.
"I'll have you know that I was doing incredibly important things at one in the morning. In fact, they're so important, I shan't tell you," she said, reaching for the sugar for her coffee. Depsite the fact that she'd put her usual table spoon of sugar, the coffee was still just a tad too bitter. She wasn't one to put milk or cream in her coffee, but she put an obscene amount of sugar in the beverage. Sugar and coffee were really just the most amazing substances ever, and she doubted that anyone could ever have enough of either.
As she dumped sugar into her massive mug, she heard a slight commotion next to her, but ignored it. It was probably just Jaz trying to eat Rafa's shoe lace or something. She continued to pour sugar into her cup when she heard Ruby's voice next to her. "It is!" she said brightly, glancing at her friend before turning back to dumping all the sugar in her coffee. Jaz seemed to like Ruby, as evidenced by her loud purrs and lack of attacking the Slytherin's face. That was good, since the stubborn violent little feline had tried to murder pretty much everyone else that she had encountered.
Wait a minute, where did Ruby come from? And where did Rafa go? "Wait, Rafael was just here?" Ana said, her tired brain operating far slower than normal. Rafa had been there, right? She wasn't hallucinating, at least she hoped not. She'd heard of people who were severely sleep deprived hallucinating, but she wasn't that tired. Not yet anyway. She had slept more last night than she had in a while, so she couldn't be sleep deprived enough to hallucinate an entire person. Maybe Ruby was the hallucination? Or maybe this whole thing was a dream? That would make slightly more sense. Then again, she was way too sleepy for this to be a dream. So where on Earth had Rafa gone?
