Mentioning @Rose Moon
As he was limping away, he was honestly grateful that Rose had gone to check in on him again. She must've been a very attentive person, and Eyre wasn't used to that at all, but he was still very grateful. Growing up he was told to walk it off if he ever got himself hurt, so to have someone trying to help meant a lot to him.
"Could I lean on you?" Eyre asked her honestly, his voice starting to tremble. He was embarrassed that he had gotten himself into such a mess and his emotions were starting to poke through, but he thought that she probably wouldn't be quick to judge.
When it seemed as though she'd be open to him leaning on her, he rested his arm gently over her shoulders so that he could have some extra support. He was exhausted at that point, and all he wanted to do was get back to his tent and rest.
"I don't really know anyone super well, but… One of them was the one that I stole fruit from…" He explained, his voice becoming even more wobbly as his tears threatened to roll down his cheeks. "I know how to get back… I don't know if they're going to be b-back soon, though…"
one morning this sadness will fossilize and i will forget how to cry. ☆

Interacting with: @Meenauh Silmataurea | OOC: Ignore everything after 4th paragraph.
[TL;DR - Nora lets Meenauh leave, and thinks about love and how she's everything she needs.]
Her student companion was quiet whilst she spoke of matters that she knew little about. She had loved, of course. Whether it was her family, friends or a romantic love, she had experienced love. But she had also closed up her heart a long time ago, almost giving up on it.
There were many types of love... It could be pragmatic but it could also be completely irrational. It could be both selfish or selfless. And it was possible to feel that way about anyone or anything, not just your partner. Over the years, she stopped believing in certain types of love. Perhaps they did not exist, perhaps they just did not exist for her. Altruistic love, for example, was one that she had given up on. The world was full of selfish people - herself included. It simply did not exist. She realised how foolish she was for thinking otherwise all those years ago.
Glancing at the student, she shook her head in response, "No need to apologise for asking a simple question," Hjørdis answered, in absolutely no time to scold someone for such a thing. One of the few things she actually enjoyed was seeing students asking questions, being curious and actually listening to the answers. Sometimes, it was tiring getting the same questions over and over but Hjørdis preferred that to someone assuming they knew the answer and getting it wrong. It was always safer to check than to be sorry, "You too, Miss Silmataurea," She replied in response to the prefect. Not waiting to stop her young companion, force her into a conversation or prolong the awkwardness, Hjørdis let her leave without any objections - or questions.
She had no idea who this 'Xailah' was, for example but she was fine with not knowing. It did not matter. The whole thing was awkward enough already. In fact, most of the day had been full of that. Hjørdis sighed softly, wondering how she ended up here - perched onto some logs, in a barbecue that was just full of awkward. Maybe even a little overdressed for the day but definitely underdressed for the darkness that was falling onto them. It would, no doubt, get cold soon.
Silence fell upon her. Well, all around her there was noise. There were people everywhere. But luckily, no one was paying any attention to her. She could sit in peace and quiet, enjoying the food and nothing else. And the awkwardness of her own thoughts.
Her mind pondered on the aforementioned topic. Love was a complicated thing. It was scary for some, whilst others it inspired them to be fearless. A few saw love as a weakness that could easily be taken advantage of, others saw it as the thing that made them strong. People had been known to find extraordinary strength - both emotional and physical - when the life of someone they loved was threatened. Love was kind of a beautiful emotion. But it was also scary. It required people to put their trust and faith into another. To open up and be truly vulnerable. It was not easy, it often came with pain.
Some people had given up hope. Perhaps they had lost those they had loved, perhaps they had just never found someone to love. Somehow, over time, she had just accepted this was the way. Feelings were not something uncommon to her. But love? Love was relatively rare for her. She had spent so many years alone, closing herself off from others, not trusting them... It was lonely, over the years, sure. But growing accustomed to it, she had accepted it.
Being afraid of love was not uncommon. It left you vulnerable. Someone could easily take advantage of your open, exposed heart and crush it. Even if they did not intend to, love could hurt you. Unintentionally, your heart could easily be broken. Sometimes, it was a loss that is unavoidable. In an attempt to not suffer the loss of another loved one or be left with a broken heart, it sometimes just became easier to push away love before it ever even blossomed. It was the safe, easy option. Because loving someone was a risk.
It had been a while since she thought about Jelani Adeyemi, the man that she had head over heels fallen in love with. The one she thought she would have married, had children with by now and been happy with. It did not work out. And the heartbreak forced her to close up, learn to trust a little less, focus on herself. Heartbreak changes people, it makes you wiser. And over time, she built an ice wall around her heart. Learned to love herself so much that she did not need anyone else. Over the years, it had prevented it from breaking as much. But on some level, it prevented it from loving either.
The less you love, the less you cry over. Over the years, she had started to open her heart to others. A part of her learned to start caring for the students she was responsible for. She did not realise when this happened. It was never meant to. But somewhere along the lines, they started to melt down her icy heart and forced her to care, even if it was just a little. She knew that the moment she walked into the Slytherin Common Room that night the spiders attacked and her broke into a million pieces. It shattered seeing the pain on their faces, the suffering in their voices, the loss of hope and the feeling of failure. Defeated, cursed, hopeless. It just got worse from there. But somehow, they had gained a small place in her heart. If she had been cold enough to not care for them, she would have been less vulnerable.
The sigh escaped her lips. Maternal love was one thing she had never quite suppressed, it would seem. She had accepted a long time that she probably would not have children. With her putting work ahead of everything all the time, it likely would not be something in the cards. But looking around the field, it was kind of dawning on her that maybe, just maybe, that was why she taught. Whilst she did not have to go through the pain of pregnancy, she still found herself caring for them a little. Enough to want the best for them. Although, usually, that was likely just to stay the hell away from her before she threw them in a detention.
She inhaled softly as she saw the familiar face of her hufflepuff counterpart near her, her mind drawing back to that. Right. She should apologise for earlier. Her joke was perhaps misplaced, unnecessary and made him feel awkward. Perking up a little, she went to lift her hand to catch his attention and opened her mouth to start her apology. Stopping only when she realised he was walking past her without saying a word. Right. She... deserved that. He did not look angry or anything. But without his usual smirk or smile, his neutrality seemed almost indifferent.
Hjørdis sighed, glancing down to her plate. Her expression was blank, focused on the food. She could see him from the corner of her eyes working on lighting up a fire nearby. This was not the time nor the place. He was busy working - or intentionally trying to ignore her so they could move on from that horribly awkward scenario earlier.
It had just been a joke. Well... She told herself that. But perhaps there was more to it than she had let on. The prefect had suspected the hufflepuff of liking her. Hjørdis was inclined to agree. But love, as she already knew, never worked out. Perhaps that was why she chose such a line. An attempt to push him away, let him believe that maybe - just maybe - she was not joking. That, maybe, she had someone in her life. Give him a chance to opt out and move on without it ever coming up. Because pursuing it would not work out. Love was not something she had the time for. It was even harder in a place of work and worse, in a friendship.
She did not want to lose him as a friend. What they had now... it worked. Although he was very much the opposite of her in many ways and she found herself being rather irritated daily... He had grown on her. Their friendship worked as that. Nothing more. There could never be anything more. She knew that but... she did not know if he did. Hjørdis sighed, debating whether or not she should bring it up. Perhaps it was best to not say anything unless he voiced it. She could be wrong or make him feel uncomfortable. But it would be better to shut it down before he did voice it, right...?
Work would always get in the way too. It always did. Hell, she did not even work with Jelani and yet, the topic of work came up time and time again in their disagreements. How much she worked, how she made her work a priority and her goals eventually all became an issue for him. They became excuses thrown back in her face, reasons that she was in the wrong, reasons why he was justified to be angry or annoyed. But work, it always came first. At that time, it had to. For her own personal reasons, it had to. Either he simply could not understand them, or he did not care enough to. Perhaps he just needed to blame her, and that was the easiest scapegoat. Over time, she changed jobs and she no longer had the personal reasons to make work her life. It just… happened. There was nothing and no one else. Her goals and ambitions centred around her career and that became her life.
Swallowing, she ran a hand over her hair, pushing it to one side. Her loose hair was a bit hard to manage. Although the wind was still gentle, it allowed more stray hairs to go out of place. There was something less than pristine about her look. Less than the usual professional demeanour that she usually attempted to uphold. She toyed with the idea of tying it back up, unsure why she had let it loose in the first place. Work was so important to her, being professional was always a priority… But in the spur of the moment this morning, she decided to let herself be free. To relax a little, to open herself up to something new. Perhaps that was the first mistake she made today.
It was not that she did not love... It was that she was protecting her heart from constantly aching. It had done enough of that over the years. Hurt by those she loved - whether they were boyfriends or just friends. The loss of everyone she cared for and loved... But despite all of that, she had love in her life. She had relatives that she adored. Family that she would do anything for. And Jeger. She loved Jeger with her whole heart.
Maybe she was a cat lady... Though, she was not anywhere near being 'middle-aged' or elderly, she was likely on the right path to become a cat lady given how she was thinking of spending her holidays with her cat and looking forward to the concept. Maybe it was a little sad, in reality. But Jeger would never break her heart. She could love him without restraint and no one would get hurt.
Yes, it was far easier to love a pet. Jeger had been the love of her life since she first saw him. It really was love at first sight. It was different with humans. It was harder with them. Someone always seemed to get hurt. Glancing up at Caradoc, she feared that if the suspicions were true, it would be him. He would get hurt. Or perhaps, it would be his daughter.
There were many ways in which Caradoc and Hjørdis were different. Opposites, in fact. Their personalities, their thoughts, their actions, everything. Their hobbies differed. But in some ways, the resemblance was uncanny. His family situation was far too similar to her own.
Growing up with a single father, Hjørdis could understand a little about his daughter might have felt. Her own father worked a lot. He had to, in order to provide for her and his family. As a muggle, he also did not have the luxury of apparating to her often, and when she went to school, he could not follow. Most of her childhood, she spent with her grandparents. Her mother was somewhat around but not really. Cassanora's story was unique to her. It was different in ways. But there was one key similarity. Hjørdis knew exactly how it felt growing up without her father around, wishing that he was there. Yes, she understood why he had to work and why he could not make every birthday or school play or competition... But she still wished he could.
Her eyes lifted to search for the bright blue ones. Caradoc wanted to spend more time with his daughter. She knew that, she knew that from the very first proper conversation they had. She had no intention of ever getting in the way of that. With work, he was already limited on how often he could see his family. She had no desire to take any free days, evenings, weekends away from that. Whether or not the suspicions were true mattered little when the end result was the same. They both knew that nothing could ever stem from having such feelings. It was pointless. There were far too many reasons for him not to than to. He would not pursue it further. And if he did, she should just shut it down.
Because she had no intention of walking this path. It would only result in pain and hurt, and it was not worth it. She cared for him. He was her closest friend and... she really did not want to hurt him. Hjørdis exhaled softly as she stared into the fire in front of her, wondering how she would ever bring it up without hurting him either way.
In her thoughts, she was unaware of when it became dark or when those around her had left or changed what they were doing. Her mind had pondered on its own, without restraint.
The warm of the fire reached her face, her eyes reflecting a yellow-ish glow in them as she raised them to look over it, after the gentle soft of a chord emitted into the sky. A soft smile tugged at the edges of her lips. She stared at the source, almost expecting him to burst out into song and dance at any moment. However, he did not appear to be doing that. At least, not yet. The tune was not energetic and lively as she expected, given how it was coming from. Every time she heard him sing before, it was always far too loud and full of too much energy. This was different. This was soft, calming and gentle - and she appreciated that. Accompanied by the crackling fire, she listened to the notes filling the night sky.
Her gaze moved up to the sky above. The large moon rising, visible between any clouds that may have been there. The scenario around her made for very good fuel for thought, it made her reflect. It was soothing. If she had a book, she would definitely curl up in front of the fire with it. Perhaps that was an idea for when she went home, after camp was over. She could curl up with the love of her life and just read by the warmth of a fire and the soft music in the background. The mere thought of it made her chest feel warm. There was something safe, comfortable and happy about it. Knowing Jeger, he would most definitely fall asleep by the fire or in her lap within moments. A soft laugh escaped her lips at the thought as she tucked a piece of her hair behind her ears. There were things she wanted to say or do. Her heart wanted something, her head reasoned against it.
Lowering her gaze to her plate, she sighed softly. Her normally cold eyes seemed to be lit by the warm of the fire. Without saying a word, she lifted the remainder of the second burger to her mouth and continued to eat. Though, she was not really near anyone anymore. Meenauh had left and she had no intention of talking over the volume of the fire and his guitar to talk to Caradoc, who likely did not want to talk to her anyway, nor did she have any idea what to even say to him at the moment. Seeing her sitting alone was not exactly unusual, however. It was something she did often. At least, it was something she did before the past few months.
Recently, everything had been so hectic that she found herself constantly swamped. But before all of the attacks, all of the awful stuff, she would often just sit alone somewhere. Perhaps in the library, or outside near the lake or against a tree if the weather was nice. Almost daily, she would spend a little bit of time by the fireplace in her office, perched onto the armchairs as she read something - even if it was just researching and studying. Being alone with her thoughts, it was something she had grown very accustomed to. Whilst she did not always have a background tune, she did enjoy the sound of the crackling fire in the office. There was a reason she had two fireplaces in one room.
Hjørdis exhaled softly as she picked up her glass of cranberry juice and took another sip, just watching the wood burning in front of her eyes and the raging fire in silence. She ignored the crowds of students around her, that did not demand her attention for once. It was peaceful, calming and soothing. The crackling sounds of the wood burning gently, accompanied by the ambient background music over the chatter of people. Well, the music was more of a background tone but where she was seated, by the logs and the fire, it was loud enough for her to hear. Mostly because she was not in a conversation with anyone. And honestly... it was fine this way... She did not need anyone else. She did not want anyone else. This was enough.

Ileen squeaked softly when Aida hopped towards her and hugged her enthusiastically. She still was not used to that – but when people she liked were doing it, she was okay with it. Well, she even liked it. But she would only Initiate it when it came to Dee.
With a deep smile, she hugged the white-haired girl back and squeezed her slightly. Since their duel they had some sort of special ‘knight’ bond.
Shortly after Aida had let her go, Syl pulled her into a hug as well. The young Slytherin retuned the hug carefully, but with enthusiasm. She wanted to handle the two with care – she didn’t want to but too much pressure on the bond that had developed between them over the last few months.
She gave the Ravenclaw boy a warm smile when he complimented her. “Thank you, Syl.” She looked at him more closely and crocked her head. Was he happy or uncomfortable? She couldn’t tell. “And yes, I’m always ready for food. I’m starving.”
Then she turned to Alan. “I’m fine, thank you. Oh, the game? Well, I have to admit I’m not that into quidditch. But I guess, I will probably watch the chess combat.” She shrugged and smiled. Honestly, she never got what people liked about quidditch – flying? Yes. But quidditch? Nah…
She didn’t mean to rub her opinion in everyone’s face, so she was glad when they brought up the plans for summer and changed the topic. “Of course, I don’t mind if Syl joins. It’s gonna be amazing – all of us together. Thanks for inviting me, though,” she hurried to answer.
When Dee had invited her to visit Aida’s cave during summer, she had been skeptical. She hadn’t known Aida that time and had preferred to stay with Dee without any other people. She mostly had agreed to come with Dee because she hadn’t wanted to hold her best friend back. She wanted her to have a great summer, so she wouldn’t force her to stay with her if she had other plans. Also, she had learned that there would be horses and Ileen really missed her own horses in New Zealand. So, she had agreed.
Now, she was quite happy about that. She was comfortable with Aida and Syl and the cave sounded like a nice mysterious adventure without any drama. She actually was looking forward to it.
“Right, the picture!” Ileen had almost forgot about it. What a shame. She wanted to collect all the memories and her small group was definitely something to capture in a picture.
“Okay, first the whole group, okay?” She turned to Alan and gave him a soft smile. “Do you want to join the picture? That would be great.”
If the group would follow her instructions, she would raise the camera to her face and take a picture. Then she would turn look around and search for someone who could take a picture of all of them.

The boy with the girly hair face planted quite spectacularly in a manner that a leg wouldn't have been able to cause on its own. How clumsy and uncoordinated was this buffoon? Clearly, he blamed the Durmstrang student, as evidenced by him shouting some English slang at him as he fell. What an asshat... Still, Alexei couldn't appear ungentlemanly in front of the pretty girls, so he pasted on a somewhat convincing look of shock. "Oops! Many apologies!" he exclaimed, although making no move to actually do anything like make sure he was alright or help him up. The boy limped away and Alexei barely resisted the urge to roll his eyes. Either the English boys were far weaker than the Russians, or, more likely, this boy was just a whiner and a drama queen. Alexei didn't really care which.
The Russian's cheeks turned beet red when Ariana laughed and told him that wasn't Ana. He squinted at the imposter for a moment. He supposed that explained the differences that he'd noticed. "Are you certain?" he asked, even though it seemed legitimate to him. Anyway, this girl was probably sure as to who her friend was. His eyebrows shot up when Lizzie mentioned being set on fire by Ana. While Ana had been a bit more spirited than many of the people that he knew, she had still been a proper Pureblood young lady and hadn't seemed to him like someone who set people on fire. "Many apologies! You look exactly like a friend of mine who goes also to Hogwarts. And Lizzie, I treasure your friendship. I shan't keep you ladies any longer. I hope to see all of you around camp though!"
He watched for a moment as the trio departed before turning and beginning to exit himself. It was getting dark and he didn't relish the idea of getting bitten by English bugs that had been nipping at him all evening. He shoved his hands into his pockets as he left.
Alexei Petrov is leaving this thread unless stopped.

Rose let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. Rose let Eyre lean on her, glad he was accepting her help and not being a stubborn butt that insisted he should do everything by himself. Her shoulder felt electrified where his hand touched it, tingling. Rose felt just the slightest bit dizzy, realizing that this was the first time they had touched. It excited her.
Whaaat? No. Come on, Rose. You do not have a crush on this guy. Sure, he's soooo cute and super polite and friendly and you kinda saved him and he's such a sweetheart... a handsome sweetheart.
So handsome.
But she did not have a crush on him. She only saw him as an acquaintance, maybe a friend.
Rose had had crushes before, but she didn't really have a background in romance. She had never dated anyone or confessed her crush to them. And she had never, never said yes when people had asked her out. "Dating" was for older people, teenagers, at least.
Not that she even had a crush on Eyre. Psh, ha.
Helping him as much as she could, she assisted him back to his tent, which he kinda guided them to.
Awkwardly, she said, "Um, do you want me to stay with you in your tent until someone else comes, or will you be okay? I mean, it would be awkward for me to go in your tent, but I mean..." she shrugged. "And you can keep this." Rose pulled the burn healing cream out of her back pocket and offered it to Eyre, not letting go until he grabbed it.

I'd love to have a thread with the two of them, though! I'll send you an owl.![]()
Eyre thought for a second that she could come in, but then he remembered the rules: no outside people in your tent.
He shook his head out of it, gently putting his hand on the burn cream that was in her hand, their fingers touching. He really didn't notice. Everything still felt a bit like a blur. After a moment, he finally took the tube from her. This was going to be his best friend for the next couple days. Hopefully it'd improve his complexion so he didn't have to look like a strawberry all camp long.
"Thanks.. I don't think you'll be able to come in, b-because of the rules, but... maybe w-we can see each other again? When I'm not so... um... fried." He spluttered. "I promise.. I'm not usually such a mess." He said, laughing at his own plight. He was still in tears over how frustrating the day was, but he wanted to make it up to her somehow. After all, she seemed really kindhearted and caring. Maybe they'd mesh together well.
"Do you use an owl at camp to send letters? M-maybe you can send one to me.. and we can figure out a time when I'm feeling better." He explained. For now, however, he was looking forward to his cool tent and crawling into his bed to hibernate the rest of his illness out of his system. Not sure of the proper way of saying goodbye, he extended a hand to her.
"Thank y-you for helping. I really, really appreciate it." He smiled at her, lips trembling. Eyre's pride was crushed, and tears were still threatening to roll down his cheeks, but he was thankful to Rose for all that she'd done for him that day.

Get a hold of yourself, Rose!
"What? Oh, right, of course. Maybe next time we meet, I'll be a mess and you can help me."
Eyre suggested that they meet up sometime when he wasn't so fried and miserable. That made sense to Rose.
"Yeah, sure. We should do that," Rose answered, bouncing a little on her toes. She, for some reason, was really excited. "I can owl you and we can make plans."
Rose took his extended hand and shook it back, being extremely careful and gentle because of his burn. Wow, his tomato skin did feel like leather.
"Of course. Glad I could help." she watched Eyre slip into his tent. Once he did, her knees started shaking.
He was just so cute.
Wait, no. Rose, honey, sweetie, you do NOT have a crush on Eyre. He is your friend. Yes.
Rose stood there for a second, rocking on her feet, before she set off back to the barbecue. She couldn't seem to focus on anything other than her worry and thoughts about Eyre. She needed a distraction. So she went to the bonfire with everyone else.

Drew looked over to see Rose helping a limping boy to his tent. He was kinda cute, and that gave Drew validation to tease Rose until the end of eternity, like all good friends, cousins, and brothers do.
Greg suggested they go talk to a nearby blonde girl who looked like she was from Hogwarts.
Drew shrugged. "Sure, let's meet some people." Pushing himself up from the tree, Drew walked over to the blonde Hogwarts girl. He glanced back over his shoulder, checking to see if Greg was following him. He inwardly wondered if this blonde girl and Rose had met. They seemed about the same age, but maybe they hadn't met. Maybe, he thought with a small smirk, if they were sworn enemies.
Oh, how fun that would be. A girl he met and his cousin being enemies. He didn't know if Rose really had enemies... It was a strange thing to think about.
"Hey there, my name is Andrew Lycan, Drew for short-" Drew stuck his thumb back at Gregorí, who was behind him. "And this is my friend, Gregorí. You're from Hogwarts, right? What house?" Drew attempted to make conversation, positioning himself so that they created a triangle, evenly spaced.

Everett was always one to handle things with grace. Taking rejections and criticisms with ease and almost turning them around into another way to seem even more spectacular than he already was. He wasn't expecting to have to put in this type of effort with this boy however. He seemed immediately combative, unwilling to even make an acquaintance with someone who just praised him so highly. So impolite. Rett closely followed behind the boy picking up food as they went down the line, a little bit of everything to truly test the brilliant British cooking skills that Rafael seemed to boast about. "Mm, then you've never had southern cooking. Satisfactory isn't exactly my standard in food either." Who ate food that was just satisfactory? Maybe he had been spoiled with a mother that was a brilliant cook that always upped his standards for food outside of his home.
Rafael went on to talk about how he didn't want to prove himself, a comment about independence, and money, blah blah. Rett couldn't help but roll his eyes. Ah yes, jokes about the revolution coming from someone from Britain. He should've expected that. Before he could even make a short quip back at the boy, Rett raised his head and realized he had started to walk away. Ugh, the nerve to walk away from someone like him? He had no idea what was missing. But, no worry. The determined serpent was sure he could change his mind.
He continued to follow close behind, more like a weird guard dog than a lost puppy. "Guess I'm in luck then aren't I. Already snagged a lunch date with a captain." He plopped his food across from him, making easy eye contact as he began to load his fork. "I hate to say it, but I think we've already hit the first bump in our ever blooming relationship. I never asked you to prove yourself. As you said you already have with how well known your name is in the prestigious world of adolescent Quidditch games. I figured starting by listing you accolades would should that I already know what everyone else knows about you and frankly, not that interested in that." He lazily popped a small bite of food into his mouth, still being starving but needing to make his points without Mr. Arrogant jutting in. "I'd like to get to know you outside of that. We have 20 days together, why not have some fun with someone new? I'm sure you have your choice of any of the sheeples in Hogwarts."
With his next statement he used his fork to point at each of them to emphasize his point. "Between you and me, I'm sure you'd like a challenge for once." If Rett was correct in his assumptions, a captain and a Gryffindor at that, would never turn down a challenge.

It had only been about two days since Ilvermorny had arrived in London, of course her Ammi had been worried, though Caroline couldn't have been more excited about meeting those Hogwarts and Durmstrang students. Wow, Carol actually being excited about socializing? Yep, I'm quite sure she had been just as surprised. Though I'm quite sure once Carol found out there'd be free food, her mind would be made up. Just as she entered the BBQ grounds, her eyes went to the large barrel shaped bar which apparently served the purpose of an actually barbecue."Hogwarts must've come up this."She thought to herself with an actual smile. While walking over to grab a pair of bread-buns for a cooked beef pattie, Carol couldn't help but wonder if she'd actually make a foreign friend on this trip, her tent-mates probably weren't an option anymore, since the only person she slightly recognized was the Robin girl that was in her same house. Since she was still in a good mood that day, after finishing setting up her lettuce n' cheese-burger, Carol eagerly grabbed a small lemonade to find someone to "hang out" with. Looking around for those new friends, Caroline walked towards another slightly familiar student, "What was his name again?"The serpent thought again to herself. "Erin..? no..Everest? nope. uhm...Everett. Yup. That's what it was."She thought to herself triumphantly. Even though going to chat with the fellow serpent sounded fine, it seemed he was already talking with some other Hogwarts student. "Oh well.."Maybe someone would come to her? Although this seemed highly unlikely with Caroline's reputation, why not give it a shot? Still taking a glance to see some Wampus kid chatting with yet another Hogwarts student, the serpent walked over to a large barrel table to take a slightly miserable bite of that delicious cheese-burger.

Welcome BBQ

The smell of BBQ drew Crystal out of her tent, and very quickly she was in the middle of everything. There were so many people, are not all of them were from Hogwarts. A smile crept over her face as she clutched her sketchbook to her chest, this would be the best people watching she would get for a while. Glancing over at the food that was displayed for everyone to pick, she realized she had no room for food at the moment. She had snacked on some things earlier today, and even though she was out exploring for a lot of the day she wasn't very hungry. Crystal looked around for a nearby seat, plopping herself down and opening her sketchbook. She tapped her pen against the table, trying to think of something to draw. Nothing was really coming to mind, and so she decided to do the doodle game. Obviously it would be more random if someone else drew the doodle, but closed eyes and erratic movements were a good substitute. She scribbled a random line, opened her eyes, and looked at the weirdness that she was left with. As her eyes drifted over the line she started seeing some images she could fit in. The edge of a surfboard, A shark fin, and what looked like a chicken head. So... A surfer who had a pet chicken fell into shark infested waters? Crystal snickered at the thought and started to draw the surfer, who was reaching out to the chicken and holding a leash. Then the shark, who was just staring at the surfer and chicken with a confused expression. And finally, the chicken who was flailing around with a collar on its neck. Crystal smiled, best way to get rid of artists block ever. Though it was more fun when it turned into a competition with others, who had the best doodle drawing. But sadly, there was no one to play with right now. So Crystal had to stick with just herself.
