She nodded at the boy who introduced himself as Sylvain and gave a wave in the direction of the two other girls. Then... wait, why was Sylvain leaning over Flash towards her? Wait. Wait. Was this a... hug? "O-oh." Did people normally hug when they met? Bridget certainly didn't. She rarely hugged anyone, for that matter, save for her parents and her friends when they were distressed. Rather uncomfortably, Bridget accepted the gesture, pulling away as soon as she thought it wouldn't seem like she wanted to escape as fast as possible.

"Yeah, sure. Another time..." she replied distractedly to Sylvain's inquiry of how she and Flash had met. The Slytherin turned back towards the field, taking extreme interest in trying to discern the numbers on the players' backs, a rather impossible task considering they were so far away and no one stayed still. The attempt was more of something to do while she waited for the bright red flush of her face to fade from how awkward the whole hug thing had been than to actually figure out which number belonged to who. It wasn't a completely pointless endeavor, though, as she was finally able to recognize most of the Hufflepuff players.

Well, it looked like this was the first professional Quidditch game for all of them, or at least the first one outside of school and in a legitimate stadium. That was nice--it meant she wasn't experiencing something for the first time that everyone else had already done. In fact, she was more knowledgeable about this than the girl who introduced herself as Calanthe. She didn't seem to know much of how Quidditch worked at all. The Slytherin wondered if she should offer up her understanding since she played and could probably give a good explanation, but decided against it. After all, Calanthe was sitting right next to the girl Bridget was pretty sure was Ravenclaw's recently appointed Quidditch Co-Captain, so if she needed additional help, Aida was plenty capable to provide it. Besides, she really wasn't up for holding a conversation across two people in this noise.

Her attention was brought back to Flash when he held up a chocolate bar, asking if she liked sweets. The brunette smiled. "I do, thank you." She accepted the bar, peeling away the wrapper so she could get to the chocolate. It would probably be best to eat it now before it melted. Breaking of a square, she popped it into her mouth. Then another one, which she offered back to Flash. It seemed only fair that if he shared his chocolate bar she give him at least some of it, and she wasn't going to eat the whole thing all by herself.

She wondered how long it would be until the match started. The players seemed to be done with their laps, so it really could be kicking off any minute now. Although once it began her attention would mainly be on the match, not wanting to miss a minute of it if only to scout out Durmstrang's talent, she would still be listening to those around her and able to hold up some amount of conversation. After all, it would be a shame to sit in silence among such good company.

Adonis had no idea what Paisley was thinking due to him not being able to read minds, but the girl was indeed right with her thoughts. As soon as his eyes laid on Katrina, his attention and focus was on her only and he had completely forgotten about the other two. Rip. He never usually blocked out others like that and would greet them, whether they were a stranger or not but he had unfortunately done so this time around.

As Paisley stood up from her seat, Adonis gave her a wave in farewell with a slight smile. He then took a seat beside Katrina. Despite her telling him that she was fine, he couldn't help but not believe it one bit. She didn't seem like it from what he saw and just her overall reaction.

"Don't worry about you?" Adonis furrowed his brows and looked at her as if she was crazy. "You clearly must have a few loose screws in there if you think I'm not going to worry about you. I care about you, Katrina." Adonis said to her in reassurance, which he also genuinely meant, of course. He wasn't lying when he said that to her. How could he? A slight rose tinted color made itself present on both of his cheeks after saying such. He didn't even know he was capable of blushing and he didn't have long hair like Katrina to block it too. That sucked. Now, he it would be hard for him to get away with things.

The Slytherin boy watched her as she tried to look up at the players where out on the pitch warming up but only to look right back down at her hands. Was it how high up they were? Did she have a fear of heights or something? He wasn't exactly sure what it was but he knew that she felt uncomfortable from the looks of it. Rather impulsively and without much thought, Adonis reached out with one of his hands to grab ahold of one of hers. "Kat, you'll be fine. Okay? Just focus on me. I'm not sure if you're a fan of Quidditch or not but I can tell you what's going on as the game continues if you're not comfortable with looking at it." Adonis spoke softly to the girl in hopes of comforting her. He really wanted to watch the game and be able to stand up to cheer like crazy, which he would maybe do but at the same time he didn't want to scare Katrina or anything.

Katrina felt bad when Paisley left. She hadn't meant to push her away, but it was too late now. The girl decided to make sure to give the earmuffs back as soon as the game ended, or as soon as she could be okay. Hopefully she could calm down enough to take the muffs off sooner, but Katrina doubted that would happen soon.

Then Adonis' eyes met hers. It was like the world melted away, just like how it seemed in movies. It was just him and her. He worried about her. He cared about her. Katrina noted shyly that his cheeks blushed too. Did she actually have a crush on him? No, that wasn't possible. Was it? Adonis touched her hand, and she felt a zap of electricity, but for some reason, she didn't pull away.

"I-I sure. I would lo-like to have you do th-at." Seriously? The stutter was back?! Katrina took a deep breath, steadying herself and wishing her skin didn't blush so easily. Sure, she could master body language, but blushing was far beyond her control.

"I am afraid of riding a broom and of heights... so I don't even know how to play Quidditch and also this is really far from the ground," Katrina didn't know why she was muttering these truths to Adonis, but she felt like he might as well know the truth.

Rose laughed and sounded amused - even Scarlett had to grin at the memory. Sure, the lake was freezing and deep and the Giant Squid was...well, it was actually kind of cool, but it certainly gave a lot of opportunity for small talk. And Rose was in Gryffindor as well - how about that? She definitely had the red hair that one would so often associate with the house of the brave. It was honestly stereotypical, but what if you were an actual person? That wouldn't make you a stereotype, would it?

You could be a living stereotype, said the sniggering little voice in her head. Scarlett rolled her eyes. Where had ordinary thoughts gone?

Apparently, Rose was American, which Scarlett found cool. The accent she had made a fool of herself trying to replicate seemed to come naturally to her. Rose told her that her mother was American and her father's extended family didn't particularly like her, so she spent a lot of time in America. That seemed amazing - Scarlett had never set foot out of Britain.

Rose told her that she could be more British but preferred to be herself. Scarlett nodded to show she understood.

"That's so cool," said Scarlett. She continued - if slightly drily - "I just grew up in Godric's Hollow."

Aurelia watched the two and quickly turned to Alexei, hosting a sort of Q&A. Scarlett watched him carefully to see how he responded - it seemed alright so far. She snuck a glance at the pitch and collected a breath in anticipation. The players were almost starting. But she was determined that, well -

Hufflepuff was going to win.

Lizzie had walked past him but he had not taken notice of her. It's not like she should have cared any way. They were no longer speaking to each other and it didn't matter any more. Maybe she shouldn't have come. There was no reason to be there other than just watching a game that would not make her feel any happy then she already was.

Looking around, she heard her name and a quick wave was sent her way. Lizzie grinned at her best friend and quickly moved over towards them. "Hello, Cassie. Ah, Mars. Long time no see." She then saw another person of whom she had not met before, "I do not think we have met. I'm Lizzie Verdine." Lizzie held her hand out to shake it and then slowly retracted as she was not in the mood for other people to touch her.

"I can stay here with you if you like. I just.. want be very talkative." Lizzie sighed and looked down to her feet and quickly sat down on the closet seat. She turned her head to scan the pitch and gave a small cheer before shutting her mouth closed again. She did not want to seem rude from walking away so quickly so Lizzie had decided just to ignore everything around her and listen to her own thoughts.

"Right..." The Scotsman stared at the pair explaining themselves. "Just friends then." He offered them a friendly smile, nodding in approval. In his mind he was already judging them to get together and starts sucking each others faces off in a few months. He had seen a great ton of people fall in love over the year now. Nevertheless, it was their full right to fall in love and what a splendid thing it could be. They both seemed like nice people so why shouldn't they get to enjoy each other's company.

On Carolyn's note of his voice, Eld arched an eyebrow in curiosity. "I have a good voice for that?" The lad grinned excited with the remark. It was true, he had a rather loud voice and his accent was quite famous for being portrayed by shouting men. Bunch of barbaric men marching into battle, and they'd stereotype them as Scottish to give the people at home a good laugh. Perhaps a bit offensive to the regular Scot, but Eldridge never consider himself anything near regular. At least not since the incident or his acceptance into Hogwarts. Before that he had his sisters, the special flowers of the Seath family tree.

With a disarming smirk stuck on his face, he rose up to his feet again and placed bot hands near his mouth, much like a cone. "C'MON BADGERS! SHOW THOSE RED SHIRTS WHO GOES DOWN FIRST IN A FIGHT! RED. IS. DEAD!" His fist slamming in the air, the Slytherin boy nearly threw himself off the railing in his excitement. The boy cackled loudly like a madman, his hair all messed up from the wind and exuberant moves. Perhaps they would have never noticed, but it seemed the badgers had at least one snake showing his fangs for them.

"C'mon! What are you two snoozers waiting for? We have to cheer them on!" He'd quickly turn his head back to the game, not willing to miss any of it. He didn't want Hogwarts to lose in front of these pretentious bastards. Just by looking form the side of his eyes, he could notice one particular red shirt acting like a king in a crowd of Hogwarts students. The gall.

The poor girl, crushed by a part Veela. There were worse ways to die, but death was never pleasant. Erin had supplied Howard with a beer but committed a war-crime in the process, it was hot. He should like warm things, people are warm things unlike his cold, corpse-like flesh. "Apparently beggars can be choosers," beer had to be cold, people had to be hot. She looked around, he could probably get a snack off one of the girls here, they reeked of desperation. Beer was less trouble and a hell of a lot less awkward.

Durmstrang was taking on Hufflepuff, the undefeated badger house. They kicked her ass pretty hard in the game that she played against them. Her only satisfaction was taking out one of her enemies, even if he was back on his feet and likely causing trouble the same day. She does not pay much attention does she? "No, not really," she shrugged "not like I care who wins." She was not one of them house or school pride sorts of people that assigned her value with the successes of her 'people.' There was something incredibly egocentric in how people did that, taking their arbitrary success as their own. One for the collective she could suppose.

Howard urged her to get off of the girl, on a whim she might have even listened. More an agent of chaos than a reliable subject, Howard did not bother to wait. There was as good of a chance that Erin would comply as there was seeing her pick a fight with a Durmstrang student because they cheered for the wrong team in the game she allegedly did not care about. He paid off some boy (faceless NPC), it came cheap if nothing else. Enough to buy a concessions snack and the seat vacated. Another seat offered. There was enough room for all. But was the seat as valued? What was wrong with that seat? Was it better than this seat? Well, this seat was lumpy and noisy, the smooth surface on her posterior was encouraging.

"She was making my ass sore anyways," she decided. Likely the closest he was going to get to sure, whatever you say Howie. She would get up and move to the new seat. The 'hero' would then make his demand of Opeila -- make it cold. Something he could do himself if he was not being lazy. Wasn't much, but they had the Snowflake-Creating spell that they learned in Astronomy. It would make things a bit more cold than just his drink, but that seemed more like a -them- problem than an -us- issue. "Try Nix Facitur," she suggested. If people got pissy, so be it. Not that they were really supposed to be using magic outside of school but everyone did it.

Just a trick of the lighting they said...
The Watchers Quidditch Spectator Thread
The boy- Howard- seemed to be not quite able to decide weither he should laugh about Opeila's situation or complain about his warm beer. Well, the two older students just talked about draining the little second year to be that the purple haired girl was crushing.
Wit widened eyes Opeila looked from one to the other, disbelief showing on her face. What on earth was going on here? And then they moved on to Quidditch. Well, great. Ignore me then, I'll let you know when I can't feel my legs anymore.

Opeila had meant it rather ironically when she told Howard that she would start to think about a spell to cool his warm drink, she had not actually meant it. She didn't know a spell for that either, but surely he knew that! After all he was... Two? Maybe three years older than her? If he didn't know a spell, how would Opeila know one? She had not really expected him to do something about the heavy girl on her legs, but that was exactly what he did. He shooed another boy from his seat so all three of them could sit and then asked of her to cool his beer.

Opeila was about to say that she had no idea how to do that either, when Erin suggested Nix Facitur. "The Snowflake spell? Are you sure?", she asked frowning. Opeila had the feeling, that everyone a few meters around them would get to suffer under unexpected snowfall, if she casted that spell. But maybe that crazy purple head and a dhampir were not the right people to say no to. Still unsure about it, she got out her wand and pointed it at Howard's beer. "Nix Facitur.", she said, a bit scared of the effect.

If dialogue is in italics, Maksim is speaking in Russian.
Still cheering and screaming for the Durmstrang Quidditch Team like there was no tomorrow, Maksim smiled brightly as one of his tentmates joined him. He would've said yes to Novikov's question anyway, but he was glad that Dolf felt comfortable enough to choose to sit by him without all of the formalities that would usually precede an interaction between two Durmstrang students. "You're always welcome to join me," he said politely, although there was a genuine grin that accompanied his words. Dolf legitimately was one of the chillest students in his year, and it was a travesty that they weren't best friends by now. "Besides, without Slava, I have no one else to complain in Russian to! I don't want to offend the Hogwarts students."

"How's he feeling about the game?"

Maksim shrugged nonchalantly, his eyes following Slava's quick movements on the field. He nodded approvingly as he watched his brother fly, the familiar flying style holding true even in an entirely different country. "Are you kidding?" he said with an incredulous laugh. "You saw him in the tent. He's excited out of his mind. I don't know if he's ever been nervous in his entire life." Confidently, he turned to Dolf and grinned. "But he'll do amazing. I know he will."

"How are you feeling about the game?"

The Durmstrang student scoffed, laughing anxiously. Actually... that was a good question. He was excited, of course, both for Slava and for himself, but he still found himself watching the game with the constant feeling like he was about to throw up. "I guess I'm nervous," Maksim admitted with a shrug, throwing Dolf a sidelong glance. "I really hope we win, of course, but I hope that Slava does well in particular. That's not selfish, is it?" He sort of felt bad, knowing that he cared far less about the rest of the Durmstrang team than he did about his brother. He was... so personally invested in the match that he knew it would break his heart if they lost, but a majority of that was focused around Slava.

"Oh, Santo Cielo! Stavo per avere un infarto!"

Jumping slightly, Maksim turned to stare at the blonde girl with wide eyes. "What the hell is that language?" he wondered aloud, glancing at Rudolf. "Sounds like what Mondelez speaks... I guess it's Italian, then." Turning to the blonde girl, Maksim smiled sweetly as he gently elbowed Dolf. "Hello, miss!" he chirped. "Sorry if we startled you, we Russians are-"

His attention suddenly captured by Slava's zooming figure on the field, he leaped to his feet again, pointing at his brother excitedly. "There's Slava!" Jumping up and down, glancing around, he yelled proudly, "That's my brother! See him? The star beater, that's my best friend! That's my brother!" In his excitement, Maksim's Russian and English began to blend together, as if he couldn't decide which language to stick with. But still, his meaning was clear- Slava was his brother and best friend, and he was incredibly proud of him and what he had accomplished.

"She's so pretty," Maksim added under his breath, talking to Rudolf. "Is she your type? I'll be your wingman, if you want."

Turning to the blonde girl, Maksim smiled openly and asked, "So! What's your name, miss? I am Maksim, and he is Rudolf." Here, he gestured to Rudolf, wondering idly if Novikov would throw a fit after hearing him address him by his first name. "We're from Durmstrang, as you can probably see. Where are you from, miss?"

"I bet you woul-" He turned his head to face the lady with a smirk, knowing full well she had enjoyed herself yesterday. However, his gaze had locked on something else immediately. Noticing the jacket she was wearing, he narrowed his eyes before meeting her face again. She seemed to be smirking and eyeing his own outfit. Whilst he was wearing the brightest yellow shirt he owned for the occasion, she had managed to add a little touch to it. What she was wearing however, was something neither of them had discussed. Quirking an eyebrow at Nora that basically asked her if that was what he was thinking it was, his face would soon fall into realization that it would indeed be the case. A serious look would lock itself in place as he was silently judging her.

"How am I supposed to be enthusiastic about seeing eleven of my students playing a murder game for fun. Whilst all the others cheer them on, might I add." The man sat forward, letting his elbows rest on his knees and folding his hands under his chin. "Part of me wished another house had won that damned Quidditch cup." He grumbled under his breath so no straggling badgers would hear him. His eyes scanned the field once more, some of them looked nervous, others looked excited. He knew there were some veterans in there by now, but he also was aware that for some, this would be their first game.

Sighing in disdain, he turned to pick up his drink, only to find it gone. Looking up, he found his Slytherin counterpart silently sipping from the cup. There she was smirking again. Caradoc slowly cocked his head towards her with pursed lips and one raised eyebrow. She immediately hit him with a question. Whether it was to distract him of the topic, or out of actual interest, it was his guess. Sadly, he did know the answer despite his reluctance to follow the game. Growing up in Hogwarts, there were a few subjects you simply could not avoid. Quidditch had become a big deal at the school. Even for bookworms and sports-haters, eventually you would learn what Quidditch was all about.

"Alright then, strap in. Here we go." He pointed at Quinn, the largest on the team first. "I believe you are familiar with Mister Healy. He's Hufflepuff's current captain. Mr. Jones serves as his co-captain, you met during your adventure in the greenhouses. Healy is a beater, Jones is a chaser. However, he's second string, so he acts as a reserve so to speak. I'll get to what beaters are in a minute." He said with a gentle wave to stop her from interrupting with more questions. "Right. Chasers are up first then. They are what we know as football players on brooms. They play around with a quaffle, the big round leather ball, and attempt to score. Hufflepuff's chasers are Morgan, Riley and Bowen. Morgan is my prefect, you should know her. Jones is on reserve as I said before." He then proceeded by pointing at Hufflepuff's rings.

"On keeper duty is Anderson at the moment. She helped to bake that cake for you. Lieutenant Reid is her reserve." He added her rank with a little smirk, knowing full well she did not need any more explanation. "Next up is beaters. This is where things start to change from muggle sports, aside from everything being played on brooms of course. On beater duty we have Healy and Nicholson. Kovacs on second string, Warren and Springhall as reserve. Their job is to target the other players with the two iron bludgers flying around. However, they also must protect their own players from not getting hit by them. It's a tricky game of cat and mouse. And those two are the cause of most injuries in this game. Completely insane to be fair." He shook his head towards his Slytherin counterpart.

"Last one to mention would be the seekers. These are often the targets for bludgers or even other players that feel the need to break a few rules in the process, yes that happens as well." He assured her mid sentence, as he knew full well how some people preferred to shove their honour aside and win no matter what. "Seekers look for the snitch. A tiny golden orb fitted with wings..." He explained as he connected his index and thumb into a circle to show its size.

"It is difficult to spot and even trickier to catch. But when a seeker does manage to grab it, they will end the match. Catching a snitch offers the team 150 points. The tricky part is that sometimes the other team will have scored so much that they have exceeded the other team's score even with catching the snitch. So sometimes it needs to be timed right as well." He sighed as he watched Serena fly around the stadium. "We've got Towers up first. Moonstar as her second. No reserves..." A worried look fell over Caradoc's face as the explanation and only made him realise how bad this game could get. He'd reach out his hand for the drink in hers. "Mind if I take a sip..." Giving her a look she knew she deserved.

If you're reading this... You're awesome.
