Sensing that she'd grown distant on the pain of others, Sylvain could think of only one thing to do. Coming up with a new strategy on the fly? That was a strength he possessed in droves. What was the problem in need of solution? Overthinking was the problem. Aida needed a distraction, a chance to get away from her problems. A reminder of what it's like not to be so fixated on pain.
His chances of succeeding were slim, but a calculated risk could pay off, so he bopped her on the shoulder and looked at her with the most serious expression he'd ever shown a soul while speaking the next three words,
"Tag, you're it."
Before she could open her mouth, he'd reflexively jerk away from the shore line out of her reach and hop over the bank, scaring off the deer and more than just one huddle of toads. As the warm summer air mixed with the cool evening breeze, the light of Hogwarts School grounds glimmered with beauty only outshone by the brightness of his smile.
If Aida chased him up and into the castle, he made advantage of his awkward height, skipping odd steps taking two at a time and cutting corners. Following the winding hallways and spiraling staircases almost expertly until they arrived in the Ravenclaw common room. There he collapse onto one of the sofas. His hair was a cow-licked sweaty mess of sand, while his pants were stained by grass when he slid along the shoreline. If Aida followed him back to the tower he would smile as she approached giggling with joy at the Alabaster Witch's arrival.
If she came close enough he opened his arms, and let her in to his hugging embrace.

Summer Secret
Sylvain took off after bopping Aida on the shoulder, the witch’s flailing arms already too far to catch him. This was a game she could understand, for she was a runner. Clambering onto her feet, Aida chased after Sylvain as fast as she could. Yet, her legs were simply not as long and she would lag behind anyway. Aida hated that she was not fast enough to catch him, yet it felt great to have a reason to run towards something rather than away from it. Desperately doing her best despite being outmatched, Aida bashed against the base of the staircase as she failed to stop in time. Rather than falling she pushed off the cold stone with her hands and leapt as far up the stairs as she could. She had to go faster. If she could just go fast enough, surely she would be able to reach that which seemed forever just out of reach. If she were faster she could save everyone and still escape Death... as well as not be caught running in the hallways.
Screeching to a halt, Aida’s arms spun like a windmill as she blasted into the Ravenclaw common room, crash-landing onto the seemingly immortal blue couch. Dirty and gasping, Aida was glad that she finally had the opportunity to play. Grinning up wildly at Sylvain, Aida cursed: “Damn it."
