Rattling his fingers along the wood in the Hufflepuff theme, Caradoc opened the door to the classroom. Class should not have been in session, so he was not surprised to be met with silence. His bright blue eyes carefully scanned the room. He had met the potions professor before, but not had any interactions other than polite nods at a table or anything further then a greeting. The man was oddly enough, similar in description to Caradoc. Blond hair, blue eyes. Only from what Doc had gathered, it was their personalities that would tell them apart.

Nevertheless, the man had been most kind to lend Caradoc his classroom for one of the little shenanigans he pulled for Nora. Atlas and Ethen had done a fantastic job. And as promised they helped Caradoc clean up and restore the classroom to its former self afterwards. The Head of Hufflepuff had indeed found no reason not to be proud of his badgers this time around. And he had been glad to see all of them pull their weight and dedication into the mission. Nodding his head to himself, the man was practically grinning when he stepped further down the Potions classroom.

"Professor Ostrowski?" He called out, probably butchering the man's name in some form given his Irish sometimes slipped out with new words. Besides, the man was Polish. Expecting Caradoc to know any of that language or pronunciation would have been expecting too much. With the bottle hidden behind his back, Caradoc popped his head in further. Perhaps the man was hiding behind a corner?

Aleks had heard the man approaching a short few moments ago. Heavier footsteps than those he was used to, so he knew it would be someone unfamiliar approaching, the blessing and the curse of the Werewolf's enhanced hearing, he had plenty of time to conjure up theories about whatever was approaching him.

A man this time, as it turned out. One that seemed harmless enough based entirely off of Aleks' very limited interaction with him. Although the potions Professor had his suspicions that he was not dealing with the most honest of men, based on his prior observations of his classroom.

The Polish man slowly turned around, extinguishing a lit cigarette on one of his protective gloves that were currently laying on his desk. He blew out the last breath of toxic smoke to the side so that it wasn't headed straight toward his visitor. Thankfully the classroom was well ventilated, so the smoke dissipated fairly quickly.

"Professor Browne..." He said calmly, as he stepped out from around the pillar he had been leaning against, obscured from the doorway. "To what do I owe your unexpected visit? Unless you're planning to ask to use the space again." He said with a slight smirk on his lips. "I must say I was happy to see the place so clean afterwards. It looked even better than it did before you used it, which was odd since...you were only using it for studying."

He gave a slight look to the other man after that, giving the impression that he knew something was up. Though of course there was no way he could know exactly what had gone down, but the fact that the usually dingy and dusty classroom had not been quite so had raised the alarm for him.

"Can I help you?" He would ask after letting the silence hang long enough. His words were not exactly inviting, more efficient, as if he was genuinely asking if there was a logical problem that needed solving. Of course, even during meal time the Potions master had never been the most conversational of people.

Caradoc seemed to freeze himself as the other spoke of his request earlier this year. Thinking about it briefly, the Head of Hufflepuff eventually shrugged his shoulders. "Two of my badgers played soldiers whilst storming a volcano, nothing out of the ordinary." His hand presented a tall brown bottle labelled as 'cactus gin'. "Not entirely sure this is your cup of tea, but it is a gift nonetheless. Odd as it might be, I do find it quite refreshing myself."

Caradoc assumed they both were trying to figure out just how the other exactly functioned. Doc knew of the man's condition of course, but personality wise there was a lot left to figure out. "The gift is a thank you for using your classroom of course. I'd be a tad bit late if it were a welcome gift. And it is easy to add that I would have to make a couple of more rounds of gifts if so." He leaned in a bit closer to his colleague. "Just so no one feels left out. Kibitzer is already out to murder me, I bet."

"I can see why Nora thinks you're handsome. Well done on that department, hats off to you good sir." Caradoc smirked as he tipped his imaginary hat. The Head of Hufflepuff had a way to bring out the most curious reactions out of people. Whether is was by dancing, singing or sheer bluntness.
