Basic History: Jinyan comes from a middle-class Chinese family. She had exceptionally good grades and was quite attractive when she was young. Jinyan met her future husband in school, where they both progressed to become top designers of technology hardware of all sorts.
Relationship with Luxanna:

Jinyan is a very strict but quite loving mother. She flourished in her studies as a young Muggle student and excels in every way, academically and socially, and expects Lux to always do the same. She sets very high standards and goals for her, and on the rare occasions in which Lux is unable to fulfill her expectations, Jinyan can become quite distraught or angered at her daughter. But Lux knows that all this comes from love, though it does make the two of them farther apart sometimes.

Jinyan may be strict towards her daughter, but she rarely lacked in care or love. She does not spoil Lux, but fulfills Lux's wishes as much as she is capable of, as long as it's not too extravagant. She tries to provide Lux with a warm family to the most her extent, which makes Lux love her mother a lot. However, occasionally Jinyan can be a little ignorant of her daughter's feelings, especially when Jinyan is angry at Lux. Only on those occasions does Jinyan call Lux her full Chinese name. Normally it's a simple "Lux", or a warm "sweetheart" or "darling".

Basic History: Qinghua comes from a middle-class Chinese family. He was a humorous and funny boy, quite popular among girls. He had horrible grades until high school, where he suddenly started working hard and met Jinyan in a high-level university, where they both progressed to become top designers of technology hardware of all sorts.
Relationship with Luxanna:

Qinghua, in stark contrast to Luxanna's mother, is quite lackadaisical in strictness on Lux. Mainly due to his own early experiences when he was Lux's age. So normally, when Jinyan poses too many restrictions on Lux's freedom or sets overly high standards for her, Qinghua can stand out and help his daughter.

Qinghua "spoils" Weilan, though not too much since Jinyan is always there to stop him if he goes too far. Forever treating his daughter like the only Pearl in the world, Qinghua is suuuuuuper loving and caring for Lux, providing a lot of warmth for her in the family. This does not mean he isn't an efficient businessman, though. He can be really strict to his colleagues, he will never be so to Luxanna.
