Grinning, Adam darted across the grounds, weaving between volleys and inwardly celebrating his success. Not only had he managed to catch Kaegen in the side of his arm with the snowball, but it seemed he hadn't been noticed yet. He wouldn't be able to keep this up for much longer, barely hidden in the open battlefield and hindered by his added height. Leaning down as he ran and scooping up some more snow, he analyzed all of his potential targets with a critical eye and pondered the possibilities once more. Red, yellow, green, and blue scarves flashed through the snow, and he found his head spinning a bit as he tried to make a decision. He wouldn't have this element of surprise much longer -- he needed to do something fast.

Twisting through the air as a projectile flew past him, he found a face he recognized and grinned evilly. Kovacs, he thought, and prepared for action. He'd seen the Hufflepuff head boy a few times around the school, and his battle cry of "For the Rebellion!" had been one of the best things Adam had heard all day. Finishing up the curve of his weapon and getting the boy in his sights, he popped his hand up and flicked his wrist, sending it on a path right for Reid. How's this for your rebellion?

Reyna had just finished getting her snow gear on, and she raced out onto the grounds. She had heard people screaming outside and laughing a few hours ago, but she had decided to sit it out and finish studying. Now that she had finished her work, however, she had decided to go outside and join the fun. Before dashing into the action, she watched as a Ravenclaw chucked a snowball at someone who she was pretty sure was the Hufflepuff Head Boy. She scanned the grounds for a target, before bending down and packing snow together in her gloves. She squinted her eyes against the harsh sunlight before her eyes set on Siege, the Gryffindor prefect.

Gotcha, Reyna thought, grinning. She quickly ducked behind a snow drift, before realizing that she would have to make a new snowball, due to the other one crumbling apart in her gloves. Gotta do this fast, she thought, I don't feel like getting hit by a snowball today. She scooped up some snow from the snow drift before compacting it into a ball in her hands. She peeked out from the side of the snow drift, cocking her arm back before throwing it at him and ducking. Hopefully he won't get too mad if it hits him... she thought, recalling his strange fire ability.

Whew, the snowball had missed him and landed at his feet. The groundskeeper had known that the Hufflepuff Prefect would likely sneak up on him since he wasn't the most observant person but he could hear well enough that he was able to move out of the way. Where was his daughter when there was fun to be had? He hoped that she would join them soon, fearing that she was wasting the afternoon away in the castle. It was likely that she was on the Quidditch field, knowing her love for the sport and athleticism.

Looking around at the havoc that transpired, it seemed that most students and professors had been hit, covered by the white, cold flakes. Even Serena had been hit in the face after she had tried to throw one at him. Keeping an eye out to make sure that no one had gotten truly injured (the matron would have his head), he darted forwards towards the coverage of the trees that he hoped to be safe from flying snowballs. From what he believed to be a good spot for watching the snowball fight, there was one student that caught his eye who hadn't a single patch of snow on him. With a grin, Darren carefully went about crafting a giant snowball to launch his way.

Cecily loved snow, so, naturally, she was eager to get outside on the cold, white day. Stumbling onto the grounds in her winter robes-- the thick material was necessary on days like these-- Cecily took in the chaotic scene in front of her.

All around her, she saw students picking up the fallen snow and hurling it at each other, yelling when getting hit. A snowball fight! Unexpected, but Cecily took what she could get when it came to playing in the snow. She noticed a few familiar faces, but crouched down for the moment to keep from being noticed while she built up an arsenal. She noticed a few kids teaming up with others, but Cecily preferred to remain solo, unless someone asked her. You never know who might turn on you, and she knew that getting hit by a snowball at close-quarters hurt.

Cecily looked around, deciding on a target. Green, yellow, and red flashed through her vision as she spied some of her housemates across the grounds. She recognised Keagan, Amelia, Bloom, and a few others, but decided Adam was the prime choice for her projectile, as he was distracted by the snowball he had just thrown towards Reid Kovacs. Hefting one of the snowballs she artfully crafted-- for accurate snowballs really were a craft, she believed-- she drew back her arm, carefully aimed, and let fly in a long, arcing throw towards Adam.

Clary gasped, a soft ball of snow suddenly making an impact on her arm. She whirled around, the harsh wintery air biting at her face, and quickly tied her arm more tightly around herself, crouching down behind a tree to take a bit of cover from the volleying balls of ice. This game was not as innocent as others had made it out to be, and every student was in it to win it, dodging and throwing the balls of ice with amplified vigor and excitement every single time. She couldn't help but smile, nearly laughing to herself at the innocent, mundane situation of it all. At the end of the day, they weren't witches and wizards with crazy abilities at a mysterious school for magic who-knows-where. They were just a group of eleven-year-old kids playing in the snow.

Well, must of them were just a group of eleven-year-olds playing in the snow, with the exception of the Keeper of Keys coming to join the fight! Clary planned out her trajectory, bending down to the ground to collect the ice into her hand while the man was distracted. Once packing the ice into a decently round shape, she jumped out from behind the tree, straightening up, and tossed the snowball across the small clearing before ducking back down, wary of other attacks. She'd learned her lesson after Dymphna caught her by surprise, but at least she'd hit her prefect!

Sabrina had arrived to the party late, it seemed. With a quick look around, she was able to see that majority of the school were now actively throwing snowballs at eachother. This was something that was definitely in the fiery-haired Gryffindor girl's element. As reckless as she may be, it helped with things like this. Hopefully, she wouldn't embarrass herself by missing her aim on the off-chance.

She crept through the crowd of professors and students alike, her hands neatly tucked together behind her back as she did so. The compacting snow crunched underneath her feet - the perfect type for a snowball fight. Sabrina was able to pick out a few potential targets for her future snowball to hit. There was her best friend in the entirety of her lifeline, Reid Kovacs, the friend she had made in the Library the other day, Serena Towers, the Charms professor, Professor Blackburn, and the Divination professor, Professor Barrows.

The girl's pink lips pursed together, and she finally bent down to scoop up a good amount of snow in her hands, carefully shaping it together in the form of a rough-looking ball. She turned on her heel, her eyes trailing back to the dark-haired boy with the black and yellow scarf. Should she turn against her own friend? Was this what life has come down to? No. She turned back around, and at the same time, she threw her snowball in the direction of some brunette girl that she had no clue as to who it was. She hoped that she wouldn't be planning on getting revenge.

Ackerley was glad that his snowball has touched his target. He could not imagine the embarrassment if his attempt had failed. Fortunately, he was saved for now. If he could call this being safe. Only a few seconds after he had thrown his snowball, he had received one from behind. The young man was not expecting it and had yelped a little before quickly turning around. Matilda. Of course, it had to be her. She was grinning at him awkwardly which made him smile fondly. Perhaps he would deny it later, but he was relieved to be able to share this moment her. Recently, they had only been working and had not been able to see each other often without it being work-related.

- Nice one, Matilda! I was not expecting it!

However, before the man reaches to her, a huge snowball flew towards her. He did not have the times to tell her before it hits her hard. Ackerley turned in the direction where it was coming from. Was he surprised to see the magnificent professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts? Not at all. It was usual with that guy. Either he was sleeping on the ground, or he was searching his cat and to finish, he would annoy everyone. Therefore, it was part of his charms. Pretending to be the strongest wizard in the world... To be true, Ackerley must say that his snowball sure was impressive.

The man sighed. The weather was so cold that he could see his own breath. On that thought, the man reached Matilda and asked her if she was alright. He then turned toward Sawyer, got down on the ground, took a large amount of snow in his hand to creates a huge snowball and grinned. Revenge was coming.

Lucette turned as her partner Roseline got smacked on the side of her face with a yelp. Lucette cried out to her. "Rose!" She didn't stop though, her hand quickly moving to build up the fort. Roseline wouldn't have gotten hit if she could work faster. She froze as a Gryffindor boy threw a snowball towards her. She was about to yelp but noticed it fall apart and flop many feet away from her, steaming. How had it melted? How in the stars did that happen That wasn't on her mind now, for she scowled. She had worked on evading before, but now revenge was number one priority.

Lucette's gloves seemed to fly, piling on the snow for the wall of their small snow fort, her eyes still locked on her target. How dare he? Although it was out of character for her to get so angry about someone attacking her, she was angry at the possibility that the boy had targeted her pal beside her, Roseline. Now that would not stand. Her dark green glove dug itself below her as the snow cried and crunched in protest. Without hesitation, she formed it into a small ball and did her best to chuck it at the boy's head.

As Matilda's snowball hit Ackerley's back, a small, awkward grin overcame her features. She laughed under her breath at his response, but her moment of delight was quickly turned around once she felt something hit her back. Of course, it was only a snowball, so she wouldn't have to worry. It did, on the other hand, cause her to turn her gaze behind her shoulder to look at the culprit.

Behind her stood Sawyer Mellowrose, and it was obvious that he had been the one to throw the ball of snow Matilda's way. Her grin broadened, but before she could bend down to gather more snow in her hands to throw back at him, she felt a presence next to her. She looked over to see Ackerley, and she shrugged her shoulders as she replied, her French accent thick as always, "Of course, it was only a snowball!" Though she was fine, the fact that he cared boosted her confidence even more than her first successful hit had.

She watched as the Charms professor hurled a snowball Sawyer's way, and Matilda was quick to follow. A giggle escaped her, and she tugged her scarf up over her chin and lips as an attempt to stay warm in the brisk winter air. She was glad that she had decided to ditch her comic books and venture out of her office. Going outside was a rarity for her ever since she moved to Scotland from Éze for the school year. She just wasn't quite accustomed to the weather yet. Warmth was something she always had.

Wondering if she should try to hit Sawyer back or if she should let others do the work for her, she quickly took up the former option. She ducked down to grab snow, hopefully evading any snowballs coming her way, then straightened. When she was sure enough in herself, she launched her makeshift snowball in the direction of the dark-haired Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's shoulder.

Excited for her hit at the Slytherin girl, who happened to be Ava Silvers, she was unaware that a snowball was coming her way from behind. It had hit her arm, and thus, Bloom's celebration was quickly over.

Who was that? she asked, looking around. She then saw a Ravenclaw girl that she knew from the Newspaper: Claryssa North. Bloom was shocked that a Ravenclaw would attack her. Shouldn't she be going after another house? She then realized that having a badge around Hogwarts would make her the best attacker yet. There are so many students, especially Ravenclaw's, who she had patroled over the past two months. It was no wonder that Claryssa would have chosen her. At least, this is what Bloom assumes.

She decided not to seek revenge and hit Claryssa. She wanted a different target, one that would make her feel better. She looked around to see that Reid had joined. She was a bit embarrassed still about her love potion madness that happened before. So perhaps keeping some distance from him, would be better. She looked around again. She had no idea who to choose, but she knew that she needed to be away from being a target.

Bloom decided to evade snowballs that were coming her way. Figuring out who to throw a snowball to, she saw the Deputy Headmaster and Charm's Professor, Ackerley Blackburn. A bit of nervousness reigned in her veins, but she wanted to test the limits. Bloom grabbed a handful of snow, and threw it towards the person who has power over the school.
