It seemed Aurélie had better hearing skills than sneaking skills since one of the guys had noticed her before joining them. Her excellent hearing wasn’t without reason of course but that was something she would keep to herself for now. The boy wearing a red hooded vest answered Aurelie’s question with a slangy Irish accent. “I’m good too, thanks.”, the girl answered with a friendly smile. “You’re a fresh? Eyre and I headin’ inta’ 2nd”, the boy inquired. Aurélie’s eyebrow raised slightly at the word ‘fresh’ but she caught on quickly with what he meant. “Yeah I am, starting mah first year in September. It’s nice to meet ye both.”, the girl said while nodding to each of the boys. Looking back to the boy who addressed her she replied: “Mah name is Aurélie, how ‘bout you?”. Aurélie suppressed the urge to reach out her hand to shake theirs, she felt that would be a weird thing to do since the boys were so friendly and informal.
Aurélie had a thing for reading people, or more specifically, reading their emotions. It was another one of those quirks she gained after her incident a few years back. A certain kind of tension was present around the boy who’s name she hadn’t learned yet. He seemed somber. Almost like he was… heartbroken. Eyre had a less pessimistic feel about him. He seemed sympathetic for his friend. Aurélie figured Eyre was looking out for him but he also seemed occupied by his own thoughts. That was what Aurélie made of it anyway, she had not fully figured out how this 'reading people' thing worked. It didn’t always make sense but usually she just got a feeling when she was near someone, as if for a few seconds she could see very clearly how others felt. For example, one time she went for a late night walk with her grandma and they came across a pair of girls waiting at a bus stop. There was a hooded man waiting too and Aurélie got a strange feeling about him. She could sense he was full of adrenaline. And the two girls had noticed something was strange as well. Aurélie could see they were scared, it was almost like she could smell their fear... She convinced her grandma to ask the girls if they wanted to walk together to the next bus stop to get away from the unusual figure. They were very relieved and accepted their proposal, Aurélie and her grandma safely waited with the two girls at the next stop until their bus arrived. That hadn't been the first time Aurélie had experienced something like that, noticing the small things and sensing danger. It felt like she gained a survival instinct of some kind.

Ileen closed her eyes and took a deep breath. The air was refreshingly chilly this evening and it smelled like it was about to rain soon. Good, Ileen loved the smell of upcoming summer rain. The rain would refresh the pressing air and it would smell of fresh grass and damp earth. The young Slytherin took another deep breath and opened her eyes again to catch as much as possible of the calming atmosphere.
With one hand she wrapped her big black scarf around her shoulder, with the other she gripped her camera tighter. Then she continued on her way, up the mountain to the blue fire, which she could already see from here.
This evening she had come alone - she actually enjoyed some time alone, but she was also curious. Stories were always interesting. Even though she wasn’t sure if she wanted to share stories herself, she would love to listen to some. Not that she suddenly had developed interest in her fellow students, but it was much like reading - only more authentic to hear it first hand. This whole campfire event seemed like a nice and calm activity to distract her from the stressful time with her sometimes kind of idiotic tent mates. There wouldn't be that much drama tonight... would there?
When she reached the area, the brunette girl stopped and raised the camera to her face. The view with the blue fire and some people already gathering around it was special in its own way. She hoped that at least the fire and a few shadows would be visible in the photo she took. She didn't know much about photography, but was highly motivated to capture some memories.
Done with the first picture she carefully walked closer, observing the area. She had spoken to a few of the people here before - claiming to know them would be greatly exaggerated, and she had no interest to talk again so far.
If someone were to meet her gaze, she would give them a little smile and then make her way to the cloth covered with food and drinks.
Raising the camera to her face, she stopped again and took a picture of the various sweets. Satisfied, she grabbed a random drink and turned to the people gathered under the transparent dome that would stop the rain. Her gaze slid over the little crowd and stopped at the cushions which were arranged around the blue fire. Should she take a seat already? Or would that be awkward?
Indecisively she lifted the drink to her lips and took a sip.

The campfire, something she had been looking forward too. She was always anxious to hear new stories but she shuddered at the thought of horror stories, she hated them with all her might- mostly because she got scared of them, even if she didn't show it on the outside. Aurelia bounced toward the campfire, which was surprisingly blue, but what else had she expected, they had to make it interesting in some way.
Once Aurelia reached the fire she looked around, and spotted Eyre talking to another boy but decided not to bother him. There were also two Gryffindor prefects, but Aurelia hadn't had the chance to talk to them yet. Maybe today was the chance?...maybe, but not now. She also noticed an adult but didn't recognise her. Was she a professor?
Aurelia went to get herself some snacks but did a double-take. There was marshmallows... some kind of biscuit, and chocolate, as well as some muggle sweets and- are those sausages? Who thought this set up was a good idea? She had no idea what to do with all of this and having grown up in a wizard family she obviously didn't know what smores were. So she just grabbed herself a handful of marshmallow and took a seat by herself hoping someone would join her so she didn't have to sit alone.

London Quidditch FieldCampfire stories back home were always a fun part of her family vacations, perhaps even the best, so it was no surprise that Aisling wanted to include herself in something familiar, yet entirely new in its own way. Departing from her tent early in the evening she crossed the field with the others towards the glowing blue light of fire on a distant hill. Thankfully, Gris had a lantern to help light the way through the wooded area towards the campsite.
Having heard there would be snacks she made sure to eat sparingly during dinner, not wanting to arrive with a still full belly when there were sweet treats to be had. Given the time of day she came dressed in loose, comfortable clothing, sporting an over-sized t-shirt and a pair of jogging shorts. It made no sense to dress up when she was hoping to cozy up next to a warm fire while listening to whatever tall tales the others could conjure up. For some added warmth and comfort she took a blanket from her tent and had it wrapped around her shoulders like a cape. Careful not to drag the ends on the grass she hiked it up in her hands, which were spread out slightly to keep the fabric from trailing behind her. From a distance, it looked like Aisling was pretending to be a bird that was posturing, and some might have had a laugh (or two) at her expense.
When she arrived she made a bee-line for the snack table, greeting Aurelia with a smile and a pleasant, "Excuse me," as she not-so-gracefully dodged around her to get to the s'mores. It was a welcome surprise to see that "muggle" treats were being given, but that made her wonder just how much the non-magical and wizarding community had in common. Certainly they enjoyed far more of the same things than she realized if something as simple and delicious as s'mores were a shared treat. With some graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows in hand she retreated towards the blue fire. Oh, wait, it was blue? Was that commonplace? She looked around at the others. No one else looked surprised or even bothered by it, so she shrugged it off without another thought.
Her smile widened as she greeted the Professor, as well as the prefects Xailah (who was quite distracted) and Gris with a polite nod. Deciding to leave them alone she continued towards the sitting area around the fire. Most everyone appeared distracted with their own conversations, so Aisling was naturally drawn to those who were standing, or seated, on their own.
She lifted a hand, waving to both Henry and Aurelia if they happened to look her way. But, out of the few she could immediately see, she was ultimately drawn to a head of white blonde hair. Was it magic that kept it so pristine and pale, or did he intentionally dye it that way? Careful not to spill the s'mores in her hands, and with her blanket trailing on the ground behind her, she approached the relaxing Valentin. Since he was lying down and staring up at the sky, it might have surprised him to see Aisling entering his field of view as she approached his shoulder and leaned forward. Blue eyes sparkled with delight as she held her balance and said, "You have really cool hair."

Aside the BBQ that happened some days ago, this is the moment that the green eyes waiting for. After they done for today activities they got back to their tent, take a power nap, had their daily run, took a quick shower and change into more proper attire for the night activities. They tried to ask any of their tent mates for this occasions but each and every one of them have their own agenda.
And so Cash took out their rainbow flannel blanket from their trunk and drape it onto their tone body. They have to bunched it in their hands with how big and long the blanket is. Then they follow a student that planning to attend the campfire site. Tonight they wear one of their favorite pyjamas. Cash loves the pun that printed on the said article.
Upon arriving at the campsite, they greet by a dome that have a transparent roof. A fire place with blue fire instead of those red-orange one. Cash give a polite nod to the professors and all the prefects that on the campsite. Still drape with the blanket, they look up the sky. The sky is filled thick and heavy clouds that could be raining any given moment.
Cash then drop their blanket. They shiver with how cold the air is but they pushed it through. They walk onto the table that serves many sweets and savory treats. Cash took a plate and start filling it. Cash take one of those S'mores and some sausages. A weird combo for sure. Cash then walked to where they drop their blanket.
They drape it again on their shoulder to cover their body from the windy night. "Hey guys,"Cash greets both Scarlett and Lucia, plate in hand. "How come when there's food I always found you two?"Cash inquires the other two girls playfully.

Amara walks into the bonfire area and begins to look around for Hanzo. The blond's eyes wander around and looking for him, but when she concludes that he is not here yet, Amara decides to sit and wait. As she walks over to an empty log, her eyes catch the table of snacks, including Starbursts. Amara gleefully smiles to herself as she goes to grab and heat up one of her favorite candies. She chooses a lemon-flavored and strawberry flavored candy and puts them both on the same stick, with the idea that they will melt together. Amara goes up to the bonfire and slowly starts to twirl the stick around as the candies melt.
A soft breeze ruffles Amara's hair which keeps getting blown into her eyes. Now that the candies have been melted, Amara plops them into her mouth and sits back down on the empty log.
As she waits for the Drumstrong captain, Amara braids her hair into a fishtail braid and listens to the chatter around her. The second year's fingers move in beat with the sound of birds chirping in the distance. When the braid is completed, Amara ties it up with a spare hair tie and begins to hum along to the birds

One would think that Zykeal would stick around to see more of what the campfire had to offer. It just wasn't the mood he thought that would accompany him on such a venture though. The presence of his friend, Eyre, was comforting, but, it just wasn't enough for him to stick around the gathering of students that made gathered there. It was just too much for him at the moment. Shifting his charms book under his arms, he gave a soft nudge to Eyre and leaned his head over to whisper to him, "Hey mate, I'm off.. can't do this now," he said, actually vocalizing a real side of his emotions and feelings for once.
Looking down to the first year that was there, he nodded and offered, "Sorry love, not in the mood tonight," and gave a little shrug to the girl. She was kind and nice, but, she had just come into his life at the exact wrong moment and might have felt the effects of such things. Tucking his wand within his waistband, he retraced his steps over towards the blue flames of the campfire, letting his hand run through the flames for a moment to see if he could feel the burn that would not be there. The warmth that spread through his appendage warmed him for a moment, but, the effects didn't last. It did not reach his heart.
Gris had shown them the way to the camp, he remembered, always paying attention to his surroundings in case he had to make a swift exit. This was what he did now, not run, but briskly walk off before anyone else could notice his disappearance besides the friends he had just left behind. Maybe he would be able to make it up to the future first-year in the upcoming months, but, for now, he'd have to deal with his own self before worrying about the emotions of others.
Zyk leaves the thread.

Interacting with @Scarlett Aden"Sweet tooth?" Lucia asked her friend, mock-offended. "Of course I have a sweet tooth!"
She grinned.
"You remember how much chocolate I ate at the end of year party Lindsey planned?"
Nodding as Scarlett left to sit on a bench near the fire, Lucia decided that she really ought to choose what food she wanted.
That was hard.
In the end, she sighed and simply pulled a little of everything onto a plate. She even, after hesitating for a few seconds, gingerly pulled on a sausage, just in case.
Lucia still didn't understand why there were sausages, but ah well.
Then, she made her way over to where Scarlett sat, taking a seat next to her and looking doubtfully at the starbursts and s'mores.
"What are these?" she asked the Gryffindor who sat next to her. "Do they have sugar in them?"
For a moment, Lucia contemplated just giving up and just roasting marshmallows (and maybe burning some sausages) the whole night.
But if these - apparently muggle - sweets were full of sugar, as the marshmallows were, she would definitely be eating those as well.
Definitely.
Lucia looked at the sausage on her plate, which sat there like... a sausage on a plate of sweets.
Why had she taken one again?

Eyre didn't blame Zyk for wanting to leave. He knew that he must've been going through some hard stuff right now, and he'd probably be better off on his own. He noticed that he'd left his box of Jelly slugs behind, so he picked them up and offered them to the girl.
"Would you like some? I brought them for him, but it looks like he doesn't want them.." He asked her. "…Don't worry about Zyk, by the way. He's usually a nice bloke, but I think something's going on with him. He's been off ever since we all went stargazing." He explained to her, taking another sip of the sugary drink. He liked Zyk quite a lot. It was a shame that he didn't feel the need to stay, but he figured that he could pick his brain about what was going on later.
Eyre scooched a bit closer to the girl. "Are you from Scotland? Or are your parents?" He asked, trying to spark up a conversation. "My mum is French, but my dad is British. My mum taught me how to speak french in conversation, but I was unlucky and didn't inherit the cool accent." He gave her a sheepish grin, hoping that she didn't think that he was divulging too much information to her. After his friend up and left without an explanation, he figured that the least he could do was make her feel comfortable by telling her a bit about himself.

Scarlett snorted - it was actually kind of hard for her to snort but Lucia Fox playing at being offended certainly deserved an attempt.
"Yes, I do remember how much chocolate you ate," said Scarlett drily. "How were you not constipated that night?"
Scarlett had gone to sit down when Lucia started to pick a little bit of everything onto her plate - Scarlett watched her because there was nothing else to do. She really hoped the scary stories would start soon - fingers crossed people were actually good at this sort of thing. When she had campfires at Godric's Hollow with her friends, the most terrifying (though you couldn't even classify it as terrifying, just moderately scary) story told was one of an ancient farmer's ghost who still haunted the sweet shop to this day. Amateurs.
Lucia picked up a sausage looking very apprehensive. Scarlett wondered why sausages were even here in the first place - if no one would eat them, why put them there? Or maybe someone actually had the taste and the courage to. Lucia certainly had the courage (it might not even be called courage from the ginger way she had picked it up, though Scarlett certainly had to admire Lucia even taking the sausage) but would she have the taste? And it looked like the sausages were being handled like nuclear weaponry - like they might explode if you held them for too long.
Wait, were the sausages raw? Scarlett never bothered to observe it but...
As Lucia made her way over to her, Scarlett stole a glance at the sausages. They seemed...timeless maybe? You know the way a person could seem sixteen and thirty at the same time - well this sausage could seem raw and cooked at the same time.
"Of course they have sugar in them," said Scarlett in response to Lucia's question about the Starbursts, and possibly the s'mores - she couldn't tell. "The s'mores are just this thing you roast over the campfire and the Muggle sweets are Starbursts. It feels like sticky, melted rubber, which sounds weird, I give you that. Really, they're delicious. Like gooey and fruity and sugary."
Scarlett remembered the time when one of the Muggle-born adults living in Godric's Hollow had brought them some Muggle sweets. Her friends and her had a taste-test and thoroughly enjoyed the Starbursts. Well, ex-friends in her book. But she didn't like to talk about it.
Another girl approached them. It was Cash! Scarlett had met the Slytherin a few times but not really a lot.
Cash had playfully asked them why there seemed to be food everywhere Cash saw the two.
"Oh, I don't know," shrugged Scarlett nonchalantly. "At least you know where to find us at the party. When do you think they'll be starting by the way?"
It seemed like no one had taken the spotlight yet - though Scarlett understood the process of 'settling in', she couldn't help but feel just a little impatient.
