Personality:

Elyse never shies away from people or from having a good time, often fooling people into thinking she's quite extroverted. However, this is juxtaposed by the softness in her that speaks more to her introverted side, where one could see her tucked in a nook by herself with a good novel or a sketchbook. Despite the initial shyness, she eventually opens up, revealing a much more adventurous, sneaky, and playful side that most wouldn't expect (in fact, one of her favourite things to do to people she doesn't like is to use Scottish slang and see if they're able to understand her). A friendly face in the crowd, she is eager to learn, compassionate, loyal, a little anxious and also quite stubborn, but all in all, Elyse is a fast friend for most individuals, and the opportunity to meet new people always interests her.

There is no denying Elyse loves animals, often speaking to her desire to eventually own a ferret. She also holds great interest in Herbology, often seen tending to potted plants in the family garden back home. Her favourite smell is vanilla bean, and while her favourite foods are rice pudding, chicken, and sushi, she'll never say no to a Curly-Wurly for a treat.

Appearance:

Soft shoulder-length red hair is her most recognizable trait, though most can't escape those bright green eyes, so full of wonder and youth. She prefers to keep her hair down, but will put it up in a pony tail when she's trying to do homework or some task that requires her to concentrate and not be fiddling with her hair. Freckles dot her nose and cheeks, and if one gets the chance, they'd find them all down her shoulders, back, arms and legs. She's definitely a pretty girl. Standing at just 4'5", Elyse is fairly short for her age, though that likely comes from her mother's side of the family, where the tallest female is 5'3". She's small-boned in general, so her overall size is quite little, but she is by no means fragile.

27.8 cm cherry wood and troll tail hair

Wood Type:
Cherry Wood

This very rare wand wood creates a wand of strange and unique power. It is most highly valued by the wizarding students of the school of Mahoutokoro in Japan, where those who own cherry wands have special prestige. Cherry wood often makes a wand that possesses truly lethal power, whatever the core, but if teamed with dragon heartstring, the wand ought never to be teamed with a wizard without exceptional self-control and strength of mind.

Core:
Troll tail hair

Though not much is known about this particular type of core, as it considered to be quite rare, it is also rumoured to be used in East Asian cultures to forge wand cores. They're not commonly used, which makes for a unique wand indeed.

Where it Began:

Davis Crimson and Aila Douglas were an unlikely pair as any could have been at Hogwarts.

A year ahead of Aila, Davis was a quiet, studious fellow hailing from house Ravenclaw. He stayed out of the limelight, preferring to keep to the libraries and avoid any sort of problems he could encounter in his day to day life. He was quiet, non-confrontational, and eager to learn in order to fulfill his dreams of becoming a well-known inventor.

What drew him to Aila? Well, one certainly had to wonder...

As a Slytherin, Aila was equally as studious, but for reasons that didn't entirely fit the image of her house. She was excitable and liked to be at the top of her class, not because she wanted to be the best, but because she wanted the recognition. Considering she came from a very large family, being the youngest one in it had it's challenges when it came to standing out. She dreamed of being an Auror, much like many of her peers, and was determined to get there by any means necessary.

The two of them met in Aila's Fourth Year through a mutual friend during an excursion to Hogsmeade, finding that they could easily converse over a mug of Butterbeer - or several. There was a lot for them to talk about, thanks to them both coming from Scotland. Strangely enough, it was love at first sight, but they remained friends up until Aila's Sixth Year, where Davis finally plucked up the courage to ask Aila to be his girlfriend before he'd be graduated.

Davis, having graduated first, returned to their hometown of Edinburgh, though Aila was soon to follow. Three years later, the couple married. Following this event, they waited some few years to pursue their chosen careers, establishing themselves quite well before making the decision to buy a house and move to Glasglow to start a family. A year after they moved, they had their first-born, Elyse, and two years later their son, Camron, came along.

Growing Up:

Life in the Crimson home was generally harmonious. Humble middle-class living made it so Elyse and her family were quite comfortable in their quaint little house, not really wanting for anything. Despite living in a rather large city, their community was small, and it was easy right from a young age for Elyse to meet other wizarding families and their kids. Not that she needed the company, considering she was fairly doting on her little brother at the best of times.

Even though she was mostly homeschooled, Elyse had a few friends that lived on her street who she often played with. Together with her brother, they'd go on kid-like adventures, though eventually they ended up in their garden, tending to plants or rolling around in the mud. Even though it rained substantially in Glasgow, Elyse spent a great deal of time out in the rain, or simply gazing out the window and watching it trickle down her windowpane. There never was too much turmoil, and her life was relatively simple. thanks to her ever adoring parents, whom she got along with quite well.

First Instance of Magic:

It was a grand tenth birthday, to be certain. Elyse was excited, for it was the first birthday in which she would be in the double-digits. She'd hardly slept, of course, with the thrill of the next morning running through her mind. There was to be a big breakfast, followed by an excursion out into the city where they'd get some gifts, then they'd return to make treats, have dinner, and eat cake while opening the gifts. What ten-year-old wouldn't be excited about that?

So high strung all day, Elyse couldn't contain herself once they'd returned home from the fun of the day. She didn't know what sort of presents she was to receive, since they did their shopping separately. Her poor family could hardly contain her bouncing off the walls!

Her mother had retreated to the kitchen to start dinner that night when Elyse decided it was time to go bother her with her bubbling enthralment. Arriving in the kitchen, she could see her mother bent over something, and when she'd rounded the side of her, a cake fell into her eyesight. Without really even thinking about it, Elyse exploded with happiness as she pointed at the cake - and, well, quite literally, exploded said cake. The pieces had gone everywhere, the hard work splattering onto her mother's apron and into the tile. So utterly covered in cake, Aila Crimson turned onto her daughter, demanding to know what she had used to explode the cake. When Elyse she'd done nothing, only pointing at the cake, well...
