Su Sushi | First Year | Slytherin

Physical Description
My name is Su Sushi. I am a girl with a fit, athletic build, long black hair, and jet-black eyes that often make it difficult for others to determine what I am thinking. I prefer dark-colored, slim-fitting clothing over anything baggy, not only because it is more comfortable but because I appreciate the clean, composed appearance it gives me. I carry myself with my head held high and my shoulders straight, walking with a certain pride that makes me appear confident, even when I am anything but.

Despite my outward composure, I am not entirely immune to insecurity. When I find myself in unfamiliar situations or under pressure, my confidence can falter, and my words sometimes become tangled in a stutter. I despise this weakness, particularly when others notice it. I have always believed that the way I present myself matters, and I strive to maintain an image of control, even when my thoughts are anything but orderly.

Mental Description
Ambitious, cunning, and fiercely determined, I have never been content with being ordinary. I prefer to rely on my wit and cleverness rather than brute force, and I have a habit of observing people carefully before deciding how best to approach them. I understand that knowledge is power, and I am more than willing to use my intelligence to get what I want. I can be calculating when necessary, and I rarely reveal more about myself than I intend to.

At first glance, I may seem cold and uncaring. However, those who manage to earn my trust will discover a different side of me. My loyalty is unwavering, and I would go to extraordinary lengths to protect the people I consider my own.

Perfection is my motto. Perfection is key. I hold myself to impossibly high standards and struggle to accept anything less than my best. Failure frustrates me, mistakes haunt me, and the thought of being mediocre is almost unbearable. Yet beneath my ambition lies a quiet fear: that no matter how hard I work, I may never become everything I believe I am capable of being. Perhaps that is why I push myself so relentlessly. I refuse to let potential go to waste.

Backstory
I come from a pure-blood family. I am an only child, and growing up without siblings left me wishing for someone who could understand me, challenge me, or simply keep me company. The house was quiet, the rules were numerous, and my days followed the same predictable routine: wake up, attend school, work, return home, study, and repeat. There was little room for spontaneity, and even less room for disobedience.

My parents were strict, particularly when it came to my education. They expected excellent grades, discipline, and good behavior, and I learned early that disappointing them was not an option. In many ways, their strictness kept me out of trouble. I grew up cautious and well-behaved, never once breaking a bone or finding myself in any serious physical danger. Still, safety came at a cost. I often felt as though I was watching life from behind a window, following every rule while wondering what it would be like to step outside and experience something extraordinary.

I was never content to spend my entire life sitting behind a desk, however. I wanted to move, compete, and test the limits of what my body could do. Sports appealed to me because they rewarded discipline, precision, and determination. Of all the possibilities, one captured my imagination more than anything else: Quidditch.

The idea of soaring through the air on a broomstick, racing past opponents, and competing at the highest level was intoxicating. I dreamed of becoming a professional Quidditch player, earning my place among the best through skill and relentless practice. Unfortunately, my father would never even allow me near a broomstick. To him, it was dangerous and unnecessary. To me, it was another example of how my life was being decided for me.

But Quidditch was only one part of my ambition.

There was another subject that fascinated me, one that was far less acceptable to speak about openly: the Dark Arts. While others might recoil at the thought, I was drawn to the power, complexity, and forbidden knowledge surrounding dark magic. I wanted to understand magic in all its forms, including the parts that others feared or refused to study. To me, knowledge itself was not something to be feared. What mattered was understanding it, mastering it, and possessing the discipline to decide how it should be used.

I did not necessarily wish to become cruel or evil. Rather, I wanted to become powerful enough that nobody could dictate my future or make me feel helpless again. I wanted the freedom to choose my own path, to prove that I was capable of more than the ordinary life my parents had planned for me.

For years, magic existed only in stories and distant possibilities. I had no reason to believe I was anything other than an ordinary girl with extraordinary ambitions. That changed when I was eight years old.

First Instance of Magic
I was eight when I first experienced magic.

I had just climbed out of a swimming pool, expecting the usual discomfort of water dripping from my hair and running down my skin. Instead, the moment I stepped onto the poolside, I found myself completely dry. My hair, my clothes, my skin, everything was as though I had never entered the water at all.

I remember feeling a strange mixture of confusion and fascination. A part of me was frightened, but another part, the part that had always longed for something extraordinary, as after all, I did come from a pure-blood family.

Looking back, I believe that was the first sign of the magic hidden inside me. Perhaps it was an unconscious protective charm, or perhaps my magic had simply manifested in a way that reflected my desire to remain composed and in control.

I had no idea how to reproduce it. Yet the memory stayed with me, tucked away in the back of my mind.
