A lovely opportunity
Henry walked along the crisp grass on his way to a large, leafy oak tree by the great lake. It was a Saturday so there were plenty of others out out and about, enjoying the breeze and sun by the great way although most of them were in groups, joking and chatting among themselves. While Henry watched he sort of wished he was with his friends to but he was also happy for a moment of quiet to just himself so he can read under his spot where not many others go. As Henry walked he has one hand in his jean pocket and the other holding the strap of his messager bag that was resting on his shoulder while the messager bag swung at his side, Henry was at a good pace as he eased past groups of laughing kids to a clearing that was had unusually more students then the usual.
Henry started his way through them as the breeze blew through his greenish jacket and almost made him shiver if he wasn't already used to the cold from the slytherin common room. As Henry kept his head down and his eyes lost in thought he wasn't really paying attention to his surroundings just going along the path that he took every weekend to his private spot to read by the lake. As the smell from the lake filled his nose he picked up his paced as the students besides him became blur's then none as he exited from the mass if students.
Henry wasn't expecting to come across anyone else as he continued on his path toward the oka tree and smiled at the sight of it, at least none of the groups found it yet, Henry walked quite fast to it then as sons as he was under it's large branches filled with leaf's, he stood under it for a while staring at the lake not knowing that soon someone will join him.

A lovely opportunity
When Allie had woken up this morning, she followed everyone else's lead and headed outside. The weather was quite nice today, warm with a slightly chilly breeze. Allie shivered slightly but kept walking, not really knowing where she was going. Allie wandered around for a while, taking in the sounds of laughter and talking from the students around her. Soon she decided to find a place to sit down and relax for a bit.
The past week, Allie had been studying hard like she did every week, but this week she hadn't had any spare time to relax and read, like she usually did. So that's what she was here to do now. With her bag slung over her shoulder, she walked past the lake and kept walking until things were a little more quiet. There wasn't many people over here as far as Allie could see. Well, there was only one other person. A boy, who seemed a little older than Allie. He was standing beside a tall oak tree, looking out at the lake, so he couldn't see where Allie was standing. She walked towards him, thinking that it couldn't do much harm to meet another person.
"Hi," she said softly, trying not to startle him.

"Hi." A voice said which snapped Henry out of his train of thought he turned around as he looked for where that voice came from and found a girl with chocolate brown eyes and dark brown hair that's in a braid who was a but shorter than him. Henry smiled at her and nodded hi back, the previous year he would have been to nervous to talk to a stranger or would have ran but this year with some new found bravery and courage he gained from his first year and over the summer holiday he felt more comfortable in his own skin or a bit less awkward.
Henry noticed that girl had a bag over her shoulder, maybe she's here to read it study, she's also a bit cute to I guess, as Henry smiled then poke quietly " Hi, were you going to sit here? I can find another spot to read it think if you like?" Henry paused for a second as he brushed his hair back a bit from his eyes with his hand while he still smiled at the girl waiting for her answer. Henry took note that they were they only students around and the others were else where in the grounds joking and chatting among themselves but Henry looked into the girl's chocolate brown eyes as he continued to smile

Luckily, the boy didn't seem to be surprised. He just turned around to face her and asked her if she was going to sit there. Allie shrugged, then smiled a little while replying. "No, it's alright, you can stay." She paused, and then added, "I'm Allie, by the way." A few seconds later she began to feel slightly self-conscious. She hadn't talked to a boy at Hogwarts yet, all of her friends were girls. Taking a strand of her hair in her fingers, Allie twirled it around. The boy was still smiling at her, and Allie smiled back.
"Is it alright if I sit here?" She asked him, only a little shyly. She didn't know why she felt like this. . . "I promise I won't be a bother, I'm just here to read." The only noise Allie could hear was the quiet sounds of others chattering behind her. In front of her, the lake shimmered and the trees swayed in the wind. In the silence, Allie felt like she had to prove something, so she pulled out the book she had been reading from her bag that had been slung over her shoulder and showed it to the boy. "It's really good so far."

Henry smiled and listen attentively while the girl spoke as he grazed into her chocolate brown eyes. Once the girl was done she sort if looked like she was nervous, Henry watched as she showed him the book that she was reading and also triwl her hair. Henry smiled at her comfortably remembering how nervous he was and sometimes still is, she's sort of like me or she's nervous like how I was last year and still is this year maybe I can comfort her or something because I know how she feels since I had my share of nerves and panic attacks.
Henry placed his messager type bag on the ground, leaning up on a side of the oak's trunk as he then spoke to the girl, who said her name was Allie, while looking at her in the chocolate brown eyes" I'm Henry and I don't mind at all, there's room enough for the both of us," he paused while he waved toward the tree he then pointed at her book and continued" I was planning to read as well, I enjoy reading quite a lot. What is the book that you are reading, Allie?" Henry say down in the ground next to his messager type bag while leaning his back on the trunk, making sure to leave room for Allie before returning his graze at Allie.

Allie thought she saw a trace of sympathy in the boy's eyes. He introduced himself as Henry. Allie nodded, swiftly reaching up and twirling a lock of hair around her finger in one movement. "Oh, I'm reading the Tales of Beedle the Bard. It's probably my favorite book. . . I've read it at least twenty times." she admitted to him with a grin. Walking forward slightly, Allie stood next to Henry. It had felt odd trying to talk to him from that many steps away, but to be honest, it probably felt more weird now, as she was much, much closer to him.
"So," Allie said, trying to stop thinking whatever thoughts she had been thinking. "Do you have a favorite book?" She set her bag down on the soft, grassy area near his and it landed with a small thump. Blushing slightly, Allie quickly explained. "I. . . I have a LOT of books that I keep in there. I finish them really quickly." She looked up at Henry, who was a few inches taller than her and caught his gaze. His eyes were a bright blue, the color of the sky. Allie took a breath, looking away and trying to think straight. She waited for a few seconds, looking down at the ground.

Henry stood and took a few feet closer to Allie, he noticed she was looking at the ground after she dropped her bag next to his won and finished speaking. Henry knew how she felt and wanted to help her so he smiled at her comforting and grab one of her shoulders and held it in his left hand so they were standing so a few feet apart. He smiled at her as he spoke "I use to be more nervous than you and had around a dozen of panic attacks each day, so I know how you feel and it will hey better. Just take a few breaths and relax, always remember when ever your nervous just breath and trust me it will help."
Henry smiled at her as he squeezed her shoulder in a comfortable way before retaking his seat on the ground and gesturing at the spot next to him for Allie. He did return his gaze at her chocolate brown eyes and spot again while placing his hands on his knees " the beedle and bard is good, I mostly read it at night through. I like all sorts of books and it will probably take me a few hours to choose my favorite," Henry paused as he continued to smile and gestured at his messager type bag before he continued " I have a lot of books in my bag to, I read them pretty quickly also. Right now I'm reading a book on advance spells just because I find it interesting and also I may or may not find the current lessons a bit dull."
Henry smiled at Allie and saw she wasn't wearing any sign of what house she was in neither was he so he smiled as he spoke again " I'm in slytherin by the way not that I'm like anyone in that house, people always seem to think of in ravenclaw through. What about you what house are you in, not that it will matter much I'm just curious. "

When Henry put his hand on her shoulder, Allie had to glance up. She almost wanted to laugh - he thought she was just nervous of meeting new people. . . in reality, she had never acted this odd around anyone else before. "Okay." she took a few breaths and sat down beside Henry.
When Henry commented on the Tales of Beedle the Bard, Allie found it easier to talk to him because now they were talking about something she really enjoyed: books. "I know what you mean, I have a few other favorites too. . . well, maybe a few thousand." she admitted with a sheepish grin.
"Right now I'm reading a book on advance spells just because I find it interesting and also I may or may not find the current lessons a bit dull." Allie had to laugh at that.
"I actually have a copy of an advanced spell book too! Right. . ." she paused to take it out of her bag. "here." she finished, showing it to him. When Henry spoke again, asking what house she was in and telling her what house he was in, Allie smiled and said,
"I'm in Ravenclaw." she found it mildly surprising that he was a Slytherin, but she didn't show it. "To be honest, I thought you might be a Hufflepuff." Allie replied as she put the spell book away. Her hand brushed Henry's but Allie tried not to notice and put the book away. Stop it, she wanted to yell at herself.

Henry chuckled a bit when he heard her say that she thought he was a Hufflepuff as he watched her put her spell book away and thought he felt her hand brush up against his, which he didn't mind nor pay attention to. Henry then saw that she was still a bit nervous so he ask " I'm guessing your a first year? Don't worry by your second most of your nerves will be gone." Henry smiled at her then took out his advanced spell book from his messager type bag and placed it on his lap as he then turned to Allie and spoke " so what advanced spells have you learned? Has the charm professor offered you to teach you advanced charms, yet? Because if he hadn't and you wan to learn some advanced charms then I could teach you if you like?"
Henry smiled at her then turned his attention toward the lake as he watched the breeze gently cause small ripples in the lake as the smell of it filled his nose and he remembered Miranda's rover blue eyes from staring at the great lake that held mysteries inside it just like Miranda's eyes did that made her eyes as depth as a lake is.

Allie nodded. "Yes, it's my first year here. And I'm not usually so nervous. . ." she shrugged and watched as Henry took out his copy of the spellbook and set it on his lap.
"So what advanced spells have you learned? Has the charm professor offered you to teach you advanced charms, yet? Because if he hadn't and you want to learn some advanced charms then I could teach you if you like?" Allie shook her head.
"Our professor hasn't decided to teach us some Advanced Spells yet, but I have read some of the book, and some of them seem interesting. . . And hard." She gave a small laugh. "The ones I want to learn most though are the ones that have you think of a memory. Like the Patronus Charm and the Boggart Banishing Charm, for example. It's fascinating how happy or funny memories can be the cause of magic." Allie hesitated for a little bit, not knowing if she should continue or not. A lot of people didn't like it when she talked on and on about school stuff, but she wasn't sure if that was the same situation with Henry or not.
Just in case, she decided to answer his other question. "And yes, I would love it if you taught me some advanced charms!" Allie twirled a strand of hair around her fingertip, thinking. "Are. . . are you allowed to?" her cheeks turned a light shade of pink. "Sorry, I know you probably don't mind about all the rules here. . . No one really does." That was one thing Allie was constantly worried about: breaking rules. It just wasn't something she loved to do. Or liked to do at all, really. And for some reason, a lot of people didn't seem to care about them here.
